i could go on a really long rant abt the alnst fandom reaction to the implications of SA involved in hyuluka's story as opposed to the LACK of reaction to the blatant SA involved in ivantill's but i dont think yall are ready to have that conversation yet

#shush #ignorance is obv not an excuse for SA and obv there has been harm done #but why is ivan widely seen as innocent and like they have a dynamic that is quote unquote acceptable to ship #while luka is a blatant perpetrator of an unforgivable act and if u ship hyuluka thats unacceptable #personally i try not to get involved in any kind of ship discourse bc its fucking stupid #but when it comes to nuanced dynamics like those in alnst i think theyre all worth exploring #and have all had a lot of thought put into them (by queer women which adds to the appeal for me)#and i have a problem with the fact that people think its wrong to have a female character with complicated feelings about the person who #traumatized her #god forbid the woman written by women have complex feelings with nuance relevant to the canon of her universe #and regarding ivantill not only are people okay with the SA aspects of their relationship but a lot of people are genuinely into it #which makes no fucking sense when till is implied to have a history of SA and its the same ppl complaining abt hyuluka #you people are hypocrites. if its supposedly okay bc ivan doesnt know better and in universe kissing doesnt have the same meaning #and thats considered a justification (as if there even needs to be one) for ivan. but why does the same logic not apply to luka's actions?#and dare i say its misogyny and homophobia simultaneously. but thats the part i think people are unwilling to analyze #bc how dare a woman not feel the way about a SA that i think she should. how dare her feelings be complex #and its fine for ivan to forcibly kiss till bc he just feels so strongly abt him and it was luv </33 #which is weird as fuck to justify solely when it comes to queer couples #like its GOT to be homophobia im sorry #anyway.#ssays im not gonna go on a rant and then does it anyway in the tags LMAOOOOO #maybe if u cant handle nuance and lack media comprehension skills dont consume media with complex topics. thats all im sayin #disclaimer that i like all ships in alnst bc i think they are well developed and interesting
