I think I’m the only one who watched the ending of Thor 1 and was like, “nah, he kind of deserved to fall into that wormhole ngl”
#like i get why 99.9% of loki stans are so sympathetic of him and completely project themselves on the grief/anger/emo loki was vibin’ with#but lets be real#by that point in the story loki had literally gone mad#he was about commit a genocide of an entire planet because he wanted to prove to daddy how Asgardian he was#and lets be real there are some deep underlying and dark issues that loki is battling with that can not be sympathized with#internalized racism isn’t something that we should sympathize with ‘awww its cause daddy fucked him up he’s fucked’#loki has a lot of issues mostly due to his dad but also due to his inherent personality to cause mischief and chaos#loki is broken but the answer wasn’t to literally blow up a planet — try to kill his brother and his friends — and idk some other shit#all because daddy lied to him#and really when looking at the broader picture the only crime Odin committed was lying to loki about his parentage#loki was raised in the Asgardian court and held the same honors as any other born to the throne#he became a god because of odin whereas laufey literally left him to die#Loki’s inability to reconcile the fact that odin withheld his parentage and jumping to the conclusion#that because he was jotun he was unfit for the throne was pure emotionally fueled conjecture on the part of loki#so yeah he kind of needed to fall into a wormhole because there was no way in hell loki would ever come back#from what he saw was the biggest betrayal in his entire life#anyway in the loki series its shown that loki still loved his family and hearing odin tell him he loved him instead of you were born to die#was the therapy he needed#to move on and become better
