Me now: thinking devastatingly lesbian thoughts about my wife (I want to kiss her tummy but she's a cat and I can feel her tensing up every time I get close to it (this has almost led to injury on more than one occasion))

#I was also still coming off my conservative upbringing in 2015 #so my approach to things wasn't the best either way #shout out to my college economics professor #she recognized she was teaching in the middle of Texas #started class by saying “I know you have all been raised to believe [trickle down bullshit]#and proceeded to methodically disprove every single piece of it with painstakingly sourced economic data #really shattered the whole “this is just the *logical* economic policy” mindset #and led to me re-examining my entire worldview #in other words #woke college professor turned me gay and trans and furry
