assigning the sanders sides my liked songs

i’ve wanted to do something similar to this for a while. i did this (kind of) with just taylor a few weeks ago but this is DIFFERENT! so basically the rules were that i had to assign EVERY song in my liked songs on spotify to one of the characters, and then i shortened the lists for brevity. the criteria wasn’t very strict so it came out,, as well as you’d expect it to. there’s also a few at the end that are pairs/groups of characters rather than just one.

the criteria:

general vibes of the song/artist

lyrics (most of the time i cherrypicked the lyrics HARD though)

projecting my own hcs onto them using the songs as tools to do so

one of logan’s is only there because of an animation meme.

also some of these can be taken as prinxiety/logicality/intrulogical based because they’re rotting my brain.

oKAY SO I have been building this one prinxiety au with uma thurman by fall out boy as my only lead but whatever I’m gonna ramble about it even though you straight up did NOT sign up for this

So like Roman and Virgil are enemies right bcus I am nothing if not a whore for enemies to friends to lovers, and they’re fighting about something or other and wind up finding a mirror in the woods. While they’re arguing, they find it curled in a tree with strange writing engraved in it and are obvs like wtf and try to read it. As soon as they do tho, they touch the mirror, and they get ✨ sucked into fairy tale land ✨ and have to work together to get out and find out what the fuck is going on and predictably fall in love along the way. Bro I have a twist villain and everything it’s so fun and so stupid and I love it aKDNBDNDND

The sides on a trip to Disney World (pt.1):

Since Thomas lives in Florida and all, I figured it made sense. This one is logicality centric, the next is prinxiety to the max, but this one still has some tidbits of it. (also maybe someone already did this but oh well?)

Logan:

brings sunscreen

he knows the entire history of the parks and will constantly bring it up

he also knows the opening of each ride, attraction, (and even the restaurants???)

mainly sticks around Tomorrowland when they’re in magic kingdom

but his favorite park is epcot

since he likes how educational and easy-going it is.

he has an itinerary for each day and strategically picked out the fastpasses

prefers calming, informational rides

his favorite of all-time is spaceship earth

he just loves how it’s slow and in space and it’s dark and quiet and also informational?? its like?? perfect??

he usually handles all the check-ins and check-outs, and makes sure that the others are all on schedule for their dinner reservations

He despises thrill rides because he feels out of control, cause honestly gravity’s takin’ the wheel at this point

when he does go on thrill rides, however (usually because the others force him) he always looks horrible in the pictures

He never lets anyone look at, much less purchase the pictures he’s in

but one time, roman and virgil managed to get one

they printed it and framed it, and posted it all over logan’s room

they also put one on the fridge (with permanent glue)

logan didn’t talk to either of them for weeks

Patton:

he. is. so. excited!!!!

he bounces around, and pretends his magic band is actually magical (either that or he actually believes it’s magical?? nobody’s really sure)

Favorite park is magic kingdom, no doubt

but his favorite ride is it’s a small world

its just so happy and pure and wholesome (at least thats what he thinks, cause the other sides just think its creepy as heck)

he loves getting the mickey ice cream from snack stands (therefore almost always has chocolate and ice cream on his face)

even though his favorite is small world, he LIVES for thrill rides

he will drag a helpless logan onboard a ton of them

one time he ate an ice cream right before going on a thrill ride,

and needles to say, logan had to help him out when he started hurling in the bathroom directly afterward

yet for some reason logan still only goes on thrill rides whenever patton is there

usually he sticks around with logan anyway

Honestly patton does not care what rides he goes on, he just loves disney and everything in it

one of the days he actually went home from the parks early after logan got too rattled by one of the thrill rides

he wanted to make sure he was ok, so logan and him both took the bus back to their hotel, and they got some ice cream together to make him feel better

they also took a little ferry to calm down for a while

patton claims it was his favorite day of the trip

Logicality Moments:

so one of the times that patton goes to see a character, logan goes with him

the character they go see is cinderella (*cough* i may or may not have read @teacupfulofstarshine’s pattonella *cough*)

so when they meet her, she’s obvs super nice and sweet, but logan is just kind of there

so then patton pulls him in by the hand into the picture

so she signs his autograph book or whatever, and he smiles and thanks her and says bye and whatnot

but right before logan leaves, the lady playing cinderella stops him and goes,

“your prince charming is very cute!” and she actually winks

and logan is like, stuttering and he tries to respong with like a “no,” or “he’s not my prince charming” but before he can the next person in line is already snapping a picture

so the rest of the day he’s very wary about being too close to patton

after a while of rides, it’s time for their dinner reservation at one of the fancier restaurants

they wait for roman and virgil for about twenty minutes before they send a message saying they just wont make it

so logan gets frustrated and upset, and patton suggests they just go in and ask if they can get a table for two instead

but when they go in, they tell them that they just can’t fit them in unless everyone in the reservation is there

so logan just loses it

he storms off and he pulls out his itinerary and rips it to shreds and stuffs it in a trash can, all of this late at night, in a little nook with no one around to see his outburst

logan is running his fingers through his hair and it gets super tangled

and his tie is slightly crooked from storming out

and patton is watching him freak out and he’s doing his best to calm him down but nothing is working

he gets so upset because he just wanted for everyone to follow his schedule, and roman and virgil were always messing it up and-

and then patton kisses him

and it tastes kind of like chocolate

and all of a sudden the fireworks go off

they both get startled and pull away

then they both laugh.

they just laugh.

and it’s the first time on the trip that logan just carelessly snorts and giggles and patton is there beside him and he just feels happy. but more importantly it’s the first time on the trip he feels anything other than stressed

so they laugh all through the fireworks

and right after the fireworks they’re just quiet.

and slowly, patton pulls out his own itinerary that logan gave him

he pulls out a blue marker and crosses off the line that said to see the fireworks

and then he crosses off a second line, at the bottom of the page.

logan didn’t write it in because it’s in blue marker, but it read:

“Have a good time! :)”

so they both smile

and then they go get dinner for two at a small, not-fancy-at-all pizza place somewhere in the park

and it’s perfect.
