Donatello would always concede the argument, but knew in his heart that Jase was wrong. He was fragile. He was so fragile. Just look at him now. Even with an armored suit all it took was one blast to rip him away in a matter of seconds. There hadn’t even been time to help. No time to get in a goodbye, an I love you, a please don’t leave me.  Maybe Donatello was mumbling those things now, he couldn’t be sure. His vision wouldn’t focus. The area around him vanished. The only thing he was aware of was Jase’s cheek pressed against his, growing colder and colder by the second.  He heard his brothers speaking nearby, but didn’t register any of the words. He wouldn’t look up to listen better, wouldn’t move. If he let go of Jase then it really was over. He’d be giving up on him. There was a chance. There had to be a chance. He couldn’t lose Jase. Not like this. Not like this.
