thinking about spirits rn

do you think spirits can change color? i mean, of course they can, davey said that he never let cryptide’s gray energy grow any paler, but do you think that means the spirits that are pale are closer to becoming wights than others? do you think a spirit can go from black and become lighter/gain saturation? like black -> dark purple -> purple -> light purple -> white? spirits can feed from spectrals with a different color than them, altho its more difficult. do you think they could adapt over time, their energy changing in hue so they could feed more easily if they were fed often/long enough, or do you think they are forever stuck as they are unless they go full white

#i DONT think spectrals can. and probably not ghosts bc most dont stick around long. but spirits can live for hundreds of years #i feel like they should be able to adapt to their changing environment. its only fair #in physics black is the absense of color and white is the sum of them all. but in art its basically the opposite #while if youre pulling a color from the computer black and white are available on all colors. making them both the sum of all in a sense #and polaris’s power will make black from white and vise versa. wouldnt it make sense then that if white can work with any spectral energy #so can black? just requiring more effort? youd have the flexibility to use any tool bc black is always on its spectrum #like how june could use forge who was a different color and that was amazing. could she have used eightfold? muse? catnine? lucifer?#paranatural #idk just. thinking about spirits and how they work
