mumbling something about Aylin spending all her life in her mother's armor from the moment she could first call it to her, but when she had cause to take it off, had cause and encouragement to wear normal clothing, finding she leans toward twirling skirts and fitted bodices and polished hair pieces

#OOC / HOLLY.#it's not about the clothing herself it's about her discovering what clothing she likes #there's something sacred about expressing your identity through clothing + grooming #and being *able* to outwardly express your identity that #going through that process of discovering how you like to present yourself and how you want to present yourself #has a strong component of personal identity and self-determination which are over-arching Aylin themes #just a step in exploring who she is outside the Sword of the Moonmaiden outside the Moon Daughter #shedding the divine arms and armor that aren't even made but summoned and aren't tangible except when she wears them #and donning something tangible something chosen or made something she can touch something anyone can tough #anyway this is also me thinking about 2nd or 3rd outing with Isobel #she def wore her arms and armor to the 1st because she's always worn it. she probably doesn't even own clothes lmao #because it's always been the armor. but idk I imagine Isobel was like 'do you need full plate on a picnic?' and Aylin was like #'???' did not register there was another option. what do you mean this isn't her skin #and that launching a 'huh what clothes do I like? what do I want to wear? how do I want to present myself?'#she buys an outfit for herself in town and is SO happy about it she's beaming when she goes to show it to Isobel #and pls consider Isobel accompanying her to a seamstress to get a few pieces / an actual wardrobe made
