I truly believe Stanley had the potential to be as smart and successful as Ford but because their parents designated Ford the smart one and Stan the "free-spirited" one, Stan never believed he had the same potential and still believes he doesn't

#self fulfilling prophecy for real #there is a huge issue with our school systems labelling children as problem children or less talented children early on which cause later #behavioral problems and less effort than kids who were labelled gifted and talented from a young age #stan was definitely a victim of this and doesnt even realize it #repaired the portal through teaching himself things ford went to college ford and didnt have bill whispering equations in his head #and only had one journal for 29 of those years so he didnt have 2/3rds of ford's notes on the portal #gravity falls #stanford pines #ford pines #stanley pines #stan pines
