Greetings gays, gamers, both and neither! My name is Dawn, and I am a content creator of many talents! I'm queer, trans, disabled, and am a silly goofy AuDHD little guy! (also as of posting this a minor so act accordingly >:((( i have my eye on y'all
edit: am an adult now but point above still stands, dont be a fucking wierdo)
I use They/He/Void/ Ae/ Star/ Glitch/ Fae/ Moth/ Rot pronouns! (My collection of funky neos will continue to grow, i can count on that)
I am a variety content creator, I stream on Twitch, and post on YouTube on a bunch of other platforms! (here's my carrd: https://dawnskylivesocials.carrd.co )
I am a silly goofy art student, who wants to go into video game art and animation, or like movie concept art :D. I use a number of programs for this (photoshop, procreate, krita, illustrator, and I'm gonna get clip studio soon hopefully) and use my pc and an ipad.
Being autistic, i have silly goofy hyperfixations and special interests. Such as space, MCYT , horror things, Art, DnD, Writing and storytelling. I love all things eldritch horror (TMA my beloved) and things like biblically accurate angels and cosmic horror. That being said, I do have very strong opinions (cough mcyt related mainly), so if you don't agree with them, please just move on. If you do want to interact pls do so respectfully and understand that we just have different opinions :D.
That being said, I do not hesitate to use the block button ^^ I use it from everything from I have a opinions about you to I am just annoyed with seeing your posts, dont take it too personally
Also tone tags and silly lil' faces are my fave :D so if you do that we all good!
On here, you can expect mainly art (i want a digital portfolio pls i want to open commissions so bad), and brain dump things.

Long death from the net is long (at least like 2 months or so. Whoops o_o), so here's a very scuffed (a kind of long-ish) update post about what happened while I died
(...underneath the post cut, that is, because CLUTTER!!!!! yea👍)
Awwwwlriight caaammpers!! here's bulletpoint number one: I made a webcomic back in June- (WHAT!!!!!! 💥💥💥💥💥EXPLOSION NOISES BABIES CRYING etc etc etc-)
...yeah
Randomness is where I pretty much grow my dumb ideas at the wall (usually oc related stuff) and I do freak-all with the thing? And my friends and other people can join in and make entries too if they want to and I think it's so fun and stuff!!!! I LOVE RANDOMNESS RAHHHHHH-
Here's the concept art I made for it because "art block bad" and I have/had to destroy it,,,
...and here's the icon I made for the webcomic on ComicFury (host site)
Currently there's like 30+ entries that I (and my friends) have already made for it, and if I were to repost those entries each day to my online accounts, I feel that would take like..FOREVER to do. So I'm thinking that I either post all of the entries all at once, OR I post them every 30 minutes or so on my accounts.....ill think about it 👍
(here's the link to it, btw:
also I would like to add that you can comment on the pages with/without a ComicFury account, but if you want to subscribe to it then you gotta have an account. Just wanted to note that here 7_7)
----
Alright,, Number 2: I've updated my personal website a TON while I was away (mainly in the "decoration hell" section of it)
I've also made a new guestbook since 123 Guestbook DIED!! (rip) and I'm currently working on an art archive to put on there as well, so I'll let y'all know when that's ready 👍👍👍👍 [Link]
Also regarding "The Hole" project-thingamajig: I have an idea for it kind of like..."rebranding" it almost??? In my head???? But I haven't executed it yet. Somethingsomething rp with OC's with friends in the same vein as that one sonic sjw blog from aeons ago because the izzzyzzz's video is smeared into my brain, but also not so chaotic as that whole mess was, I think. Does this make any sense to you
[...and here's the link to the hole also]
----
Uhhh NUMBER 3: I made a LOT(?) of art stuff while I was dead again - mainly Randomness stuff - but also edits as well, surprisingly enough considering how my electronic drives are literally on life support because of me pretty much (joke)
I'll post them after I post the Randomness pages I think....and I'll get back into the swing of things like how I was doing before B,)
----
Number 4: While I was dead I've been sleeping in a lot, sweating very badly (I HATE SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), and oh yea skinning my PC because it's very fun and also I have the valve brainrot still (it never ends) and I gotta express that somehow. I'll post an image of what I've got when I hop on my laptop :0
----
Number 5: what else do I add here uhh......oh yea- I've been into visual novels again since I played one recently and plan on playing the totally iconic ATASHINORIRI (banger game 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥) soon. I have so many game ideas in my head still but alas....I am just one girl....with a laptop on life support and whose tablet driver is broken (idk why) so MAYBE ONE DAY!!! but not today.................so sad!!!!
----
Ok that's it from me. Um. Have a swag video from YouTube since you read this thing the whole way through and uhhh yea. bye *explodes*
youtube
#flowerposting#actual flower posting#long update post is long. my bad#ok prepare to be randomed on tomorrow.. heheheh >B)))#Youtube

Introduction - I swear this is weirdcore related. Hii!!! I'm Study or Core, I'm here to poorly analyze images and attempt to work on a dreamcore-inspired project. As of now I plan for it to be one of those interactive youtube videos though i might make it a visual novel if I take the time to figure out any software.... idk More about me: I'm... a person. they/them. I like drawing, sometimes. I say wahoo unironically along with yippee and various other exclamations because at some point i copied Mario for some reason and it just spiralled from there. I like all bugs, cockroaches and stuff included, they are all very cute. I am also very and irrationally scared of blackholes. Yep, those are my ONLY defining traits :) very interesting I know.
More about the project: ... god idk. Just wanted to make silly characters and a silly world. I do want to lean into the actual aesthetic more than "EYES EVERYWHERE" and object heads, though. Not that theres anything wrong with that, I love me some eye imagery, but its a bit over used at this point yk. I'll update this when I get a solid idea of what I want to do, but for now! Suggestions are welcome. I'd like to mention, I'm also including weirdcore in this blog, because at this point dreamcore and weirdcore are used interchangeably. There isn't much of a difference in their core traits anymore. I'd love to rant about this, but on a different post. eventually.
And that's all! wowza. wait no. um cough cough ignore that
Actual content on this blog: Mainly analysis of images and the aesthetic, updates on character designs and concepts, and rants about different topics vaguely relating to dreamcore like... liminal spaces! You guys still like those, right? Totally haven't completely forgotten the original meaning of 'liminal' and are just using it as a blanket term for backrooms-esque areas, right? haha. sorry that was rude.

ok now I'm ACTUALLY done, thank you for reading!! :) G'bye!!

About KittenNinja14 (aka me)
Hello fellow humans!!
(picture was animated/created by MochiOkanii)
My name is KittenNinja but y'all can call me KN! (Multi-fandom lover btw)
Few things about me are that I'm a huge stan of Zane (Ninjago), LadyNoir (ship from Miraculous), Tripitaka and Wukong (Lego Monkie Kid), and Froggy(Prince Charlie) from The Land of Stories (book). I am also a HUGE stan of My Adventures with Superman, the new PJO TV Show, and Lego Monkie Kid. I am also a Christian girl. I HAVE AND WILL ALWAYS ALSO BE A HUGE STAN OF IRONDAD & SPIDERSON!!!
I love, love, LOVE Ninjago!! Both the Movie and the Show!! In fact, the Movie was the main thing that reintroduced me to this beloved show. I used to watch it when I was younger but then I lost interest. I found the movie in June 2023 and have been a fan of both the show/movie ever since! I'm not entirely sure about DR... i like the concept and have seen all the spoilers but i prefer the OG series vibe wayyy more... prob just me lol.
I used to be a fan of Miraculous, but Season 5 made me lose interest. After LadyNoir became friend-zoned, the show went on a sad decline (at least in my perspective). But I LOVE the Movie!! And I also think that the Paris special (Shadybug and Claw Noir) is amazing!
I AM OBSESSED WITH LEGO MONKIE KID!!!! It's the first series I have actually watched in order without spoilers in such a long time!! It's a def must-watch XD!! Rn I'm obsessed with Tang Sanzang (Tripitaka) and Wukong's relationship XD
Last but not least is Froggy. He's my favorite character from a book series called The Land of Stories. This series was the main spark that kindled my love for writing as well as reading! If y'all are looking for a series to read, I recommend that y'all check it out!
I am also a HUGE fan of MCU. (mainly IronDad and SpiderMan-related stuff and now also MOON KNIGHT) For Irondad/Spider-Man, I've been a fan since 2022(??) and still am a fan. Occasionally I'll fall into the Spidey-brainrot but as of rn IronDad and SpiderSon are my hyperfixation, lol. Recently fell into the Moon Knight fandom!! Love my moon boys sm <33
Lastly, I am also a born-again, spirit-filled Christian girl. If y'all have any questions regarding the bible or Jesus, feel free to ask me! I'll do my best to answer your question!!
---
Anyways, I am a writer, as well as an artist. On this platform, I'm planning to post some of my sketches and doodles, as well as some story updates. I'll post my completed art on DeviantArt, tho.
Y'all can find me on Wattpad, AO3, Fanfiction.net, DevaintArt, and Youtube.

100th Post Celebration! Wahoo!!
Hello everyone! Yes you read that right, I've officially reached 100 posts on this tumblr! How exciting!
I know it's not really that crazy of a milestone, but considering this blog was completely inactive not too long ago, I'm happy to see it. It's become a blog I really enjoy and genuinely love coming to update and make little posts about video games on. And I hope you all enjoy seeing me talk on and on about random games too!
Also this account randomly jumped from under 10 followers to just over 50 this year. Which again isn't a lot but still its NUTS to see. I know a lot of you followed specifically for gifsets and I haven't made any in a hot minute. But I appreciate you still being here and maybe even enjoying my ramblings about games I play? Probably not... Maybe?
Regardless if you only read whatever interests you, if you somehow have the mental fortitude to read EVERYTHING, or don't read anything at all and are just wondering where the gifs are. I do appreciate you being here!
Mainly I just wanted to make this post to give a bit of an update on what's happening here. In the new year I still plan to run this blog the exact same way as I did this year. At this point I REALLY like the set up I have for posting my game thoughts and prefer much MUCH more over the old way of sharing thoughts through twitter threads. And I have no intentions of stopping, so I hope you look forward to seeing all the random stuff I play in the coming year!
Outside of just afterthoughts stuff, I do want to make more gifs. I haven't even really scratched the surface of what I could do with just the dozens of smash bros. games, mods, and fangames I have on my computer. And there's tons of other stuff I could make gifs of, and if they do become popular enough I may even consider taking game requests eventually (no promises though)
I have also been considering making some videos for more visually focused afterthoughts or to facilitate my more insane brain worm fueled video game ramblings. Like maybe gushing about random Xbox 360 RPGs or ramblings about Smash Bros. characters. This is just a concept though cause I REALLY don't want to become a youtuber and would only make videos for fun cause I think the stress of doing it regularly would kill me.
Then of course I have a lot of work to do, both for games I'm a part of and my own personal games like Once Upon An Adventure! I really want to buckle down and get some good progress done on it in 2024 (I say this every year so don't hold your breath lmao). But sadly I will also be moving in the first part of 2024 which will, as all moves are, be a long and stressful process. So I probably won't get a TON of gaming done for a bit outside of smaller games and maybe playing some old stuff I've been sitting on for a bit. But we'll see.
Regardless, thank you all VERY much again for your continued support and your interest in anything I say even though it's all pretty much pointless ramblings of an insane person. Look forward to more video game stuff from your pal Bahamutgreen in the future.
Have a great day, happy holidays, and here's to a lovely 2024!

An Update.
So, tldr, I am going to be changing how I tell this story. The animation 'Chaos/Tale:ASOSC', will basically be cancelled, as well as other comics and short stories I was planning, and are going to be replaced by a (probably) few hour long video going through the entire story.
Now, to actually go into this: before I was introduced to Undertale, the only thing I really knew about me and my future was that I play video games and watch YouTube videos, just an average kid ig. Some time after I was introduced to Undertale, as well as the fandom (especially being Underverse and Glitchtale), as well as me trying to get back into drawing, I decided to try out a couple short animations, mainly basic sketches and stuff, and figured I enjoyed it, and I ended up deciding to try and make a Undertale fan animation, which I ended up deciding to plan the story first, posting it on wattpad first. Since I enjoyed making it a fair amount, plus the other real interest of mine not being something I could really 'make my future', I figured this is my interest and future.
When I actually started animating it, I made that 'intro' video in a few days, I didn't really take my time with it, even the music I did in an afternoon I believe. Since then, I had tried to work on the first episode, and got quite a bit done on the first scene, but at some point I realised I have no idea how to draw characters, and I didn't like how they look, and since then I have struggled to actually get myself to enjoy practicing drawing characters.
And now, after having spent a year and a half (probably at least), of trying to practice characters, as well as re-writing and expanding the story, I believe/hope I have learned what I actually like: Worldbuilding. This includes a story and/or history for that world. And seeing as how my favourite game is Minecraft, especially building and exploring worlds I get giving, plus how with Chaos/Tale I continue to default back to expanding the world and story, it really makes sense that this is at least closer to what I enjoy doing. Although currently I am still looking into if this is really my interest, I guess I just want to be sure.
Now, for what I intend to do for the future of this story; I am thinking of just telling it... I guess (idk if there is another term or something to say this-), through a YouTube video or two, as well as continue expanding on and showing off the worlds. I'm also going to finish up and show off all concept arts (and just arts) I have and will make, as well as finish up all the music I have wips of.
I do want to tell this story, and I think this will be the best way to do it (although my voice may suffer-), but I guess now, we will just have to see how this works, and I hope I properly explained my thoughts here.
hope you all have been well, and good luck to you all for the future

updated faq
Round 2! I tried to shorten the answers so as not to be repetitive, and I also added new FAQs for your convenience. My past self who wrote my first FAQ annoys me, and this one is more thorough anyway, so here you go. I still can’t believe you all actually interact with me enough that I have to make one of these.
Questions up here, answers under the cut.
anti sjm basics
1. why are you an anti?
2. why are you specifically anti SJM?
3. do you like anything about SJM’s books?
4. terminology and practices
5. why do you hold SJM to a higher standard than other authors?/why do you focus on criticizing this one woman more harshly than you do men?
6. did you see what xyz stan did?
7. are you an anti for non-SJM stuff?
best of (in my humble opinion)
diversity and sensitivity
8. I have a question about writing and/or how to portray xyz identity...
9. can you please tag...?
10. is it okay if I like [x author]/[y series] even if I know they’re problematic?
11. what are your suggestions for aspiring authors who want to write diversely?
personal
12. is it okay if I message you?
13. why don’t you post about books/shows/movies you actually like?
14. favorites?
15. book suggestions?
16. are you a writer/what are you writing/do you plan on publishing?
17. is it okay if I follow you on other social media?
18. fandom research
19. when did you start your blog?
20. how did you decide your url?
anti SJM basics
1. why are you an anti?
I love thinking critically about the media I consume. Though I wouldn’t say I’m particularly “anti” any text or author, some people classify any criticism as “anti.” To respect people in the main tags, I post in anti tags so they don’t have to see critical posts. Otherwise, I love talking about positive, neutral, and negative aspects of books.
2. why are you specifically anti SJM?
The Anti SJM Manifesto
What made you turn into an anti? x x
Rowan/Rowaelin: x x x
The fandom: x x x x x x
3. do you like anything about SJM’s books?
Yes. I like a lot of SJM’s ideas, but I don’t like how they’re executed at all. I highly enjoyed TAB, TOG-HOF, and the witch storyline of QOS. My favorite TOG characters are Manon, Chaol, Nehemia, and Sorscha. Honorable mention for Lysandra, Kaltain, and Asterin. My favorite ACOTAR characters are Nesta, Lucien, and Tarquin. Additional links: x x x x
If you want my positive thoughts on certain SJM characters, look up: “anti sjm: [character name]” and you’ll find them.
4. terminology and practices:
Anti SJM Glossary. Seeing as many of us have had bad experiences with stans and in one case, authors, we censor names so our posts stay in our own tags.
What is soap dick? From August 2018 x x.
Manongate? when KOA came out, Charlie Bowater’s promotional art (x) depicted Manon as Asian. Here’s more on why that’s a problematic and lazy decision on SJM and Bloomsbury’s part: x x.
5. why do you hold SJM to a higher standard than other authors?/why do you focus on criticizing this one woman more harshly than you do men?
SJM alone out of all the biggest YA authors has yet to make craft improvements or display a social awareness similar to what I’ve seen from her colleagues. I give all authors an equal chance, but SJM’s writing and behavior has significantly decreased in quality compared to other fantasy authors despite her books being lauded as complex and feminist works. However, I’m not perfect, so do feel welcome to send me an ask if you think I’m being unfair.
The anti SJM community is focused on women because we all mainly read women. Critiquing women doesn’t mean we are unaware, dismissive of, or silent about the issues in men’s work. The “anti” movements for the likes of GRRM do exist, but under a different name than “anti”–there are thousands of critical meta blogs, book/TV critics and reviewers, Youtubers, etc out there who discuss his flaws in depth. I also have lengthy anti GRRM, anti GOT, and anti ASOIAF tags. Finally, I personally find critiquing and discussing women’s work a lot more interesting, productive, and empowering than doing the same for men, especially because my blog’s focus is on the YA author/transformative fan community at large.
About Leigh Bardugo: x x x x x x x
About GRRM (and GOT): x x x x x x x
About Tolkien: I've only read The Hobbit and a third of Fellowship of the Ring, and I’ve only watched FotR, so I don’t say much about him at all.
6. did you see what xyz stan did?
Probably not, especially if what they did was off Tumblr. I don’t look at stan accounts unless someone informs me that my posts or I have come up in conversation on their blog. Any specific stan urls in asks will be redacted both for their privacy and my own well-being. Stans have doxxed, harassed, and discriminated against antis, including myself, so I’d rather save us all the trouble.
7. are you an anti for non-SJM stuff?
I most often talk about SJM’s books, but I’ve also been very critical of GOT/ASOIAF. Following GRRM, several other YA authors have appeared in positive, neutral, and critical lights. On the more critical side we have Cassandra Clare and JK Rowling, and a very little bit about Victoria Aveyard, John Green, Maggie Stiefvater, Stephenie Meyer, and Veronica Roth. Otherwise, I’ve talked about Susan Dennard, Rick Riordan, Leigh Bardugo, and Marie Rutkoski. Check out my YA critical tag for more. I’m also down to discuss franchises like Star Wars, Fantastic Beasts, MCU, etc, as well as TV shows. Basically anything big in genre fiction media, there’s a good chance I’ve read/watched it and I have opinions!

8. I have a question about writing and/or how to portray xyz identity...
First and foremost, check my “writing advice” and “writing advice: poc” tags to see if the question has already been answered.
I am black cis girl with a dual degree in women’s/gender studies and creative writing. I will best be able to answer questions regarding black characters, women, racial oppression and identity as a whole, and most questions about queer characters. There’s a chance I can provide a basic answer to questions about demographics outside of these, but I’ll most likely advise you to ask another blogger or seek out sensitivity readers.
9. can you please tag...?
Yes. Just send an ask and I’ll tag anything. I’ve turned off all Tumblr notifications for this account so I probably won’t see tag requests in comments unless you comment within a day or so of the post.
10. is it okay if I like [x author]/[y series] even if I know they’re problematic?
Absolutely. I’m not the liking-things police and I can’t control whether you like something or not. There’s no such thing as an unproblematic author or unproblematic series, so you just have to like what you like at your own discretion and with a critical eye. As long as you’re aware of the issues and not denying or ignoring them, maybe even seeking out other people whose opinions add to the conversation, you’re good. It’s exhausting to be 100% critical but harmful to be 100% uncritical, so you have to seek out critics you like and figure out how to maintain a dialogue with the text and/or the author. The balance is different for everyone but once you find it, it gets easier to keep up!
11. what are your suggestions for aspiring authors who want to write diversely?
Concepts to be aware of and tropes to avoid: male gaze, the Bechdel test, the Mako Mori test, the sexy lamp test, fridging, Orientalism, xenoface (called “the Gamora Phenomenon” on my blog), black best friend, Spicy Latina, Dragon Lady, bury your gays, disability narratives, queerbaiting.
What not to do when creating a culture.
My advice about writing POC.
Check out these blogs if you like: x x x.
Follow as diversely as possible. Follow multiple blogs, especially writing- or fandom-themed blogs, run by POC (especially women and LGBTQ+), bloggers from religiously marginalized groups, bloggers with disabilities, older bloggers, younger bloggers, international bloggers, plus size bloggers, etc. Everyone has different perspectives and opinions, so it’s best to read from multiple sources.
Magnify marginalized voices in conversations about diversity, and LISTEN to what they are telling you.
Read diversely! Read genre fiction written by marginalized people. Maybe even read some gender, queer, race, or disability theory if you like. I’m personally a fan of Audre Lorde, Anne McClintock, and Sara Ahmed, but I like a lot more.
Seek out multiple sensitivity readers for the specific identity you are trying to represent (ie if you are trying to write a Muslim woman, ask a Muslim woman to sensitivity read for you. Experiences are not interchangeable so don’t treat them as such).
Don’t let the research stop here. This is just the beginning. There are plenty of awesome and accessible resources out there if you want to know more. I started learning about this stuff on sites like Tumblr, Goodreads, and Youtube. The Goodreads review sections, especially for YA books, are so entertaining and full of commentators coming at texts with feminist, queer, and POC lenses if you look in the right spots. There are also podcasts and Youtube videos about feminism, history of queerbaiting, and such. Happy reading/listening/writing!
personal
12. is it okay if I message you?
If we’ve been mutuals and/or we’ve interacted for a while (at least a few weeks or so), absolutely. When it comes to questions about writing or diversity advice in WIPs, I prefer asks (off or on anon is fine; if you’d like to be off anon but answered privately, you can indicate that in the ask). That way, other people with similar questions can join the discussion and I’m less likely to repeat myself. That said, I’m not opposed to messages; I just get shy around people I don’t know :). Regardless of ask or message, please try to ask the full question as clearly as possible so I can answer it to my best ability. Generally, you can expect an answer to your message or ask within a few days to a week of sending.
If you’re looking for a fight and/or if you start using condescending, rude, or discriminatory language, you will be ignored.
13. why don’t you post about books/shows/movies you actually like?
I do! :)
14. favorites?
books: Harry Potter; The Hunger Games; Six of Crows; Percy Jackson; The Winner’s Trilogy; Angelfall; The Secret History; Othello; Jane Eyre; The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe/The Magician’s Nephew; A Storm of Swords.
movies: Alien, Blade Runner 2049, Harry Potter, Wonder Woman, Black Panther, Annihilation, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Terminator 2, The Breakfast Club, The Lion King, Moonlight dir. Barry Jenkins, Sleeping Beauty, Mulan, Tangled.
tv series: Sense8, Battlestar Galactica (2004-2008), Black Mirror, The X Files, The 100, Westworld (season 1 only), Watchmen, Homeland (seasons 1-4 only), Orphan Black, Breaking Bad, The Office, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, New Girl, Fleabag.
15. book suggestions?
Book recs!
Maxine, did you read/watch...?
16. are you a writer/what are you writing/do you plan on publishing?
I hope to publish, yes! I write mostly YA fantasy, but I also love sci fi, crime drama, and certain elements of horror so I have works in or influenced by all of those genres. I want to get my foot in the YA fantasy door first and foremost :). Check out “polysorscha writes things” if you want to know more specifics.
17. is it okay if I follow you on other social media?
As of now I keep my blog disconnected from my personal life, so I don’t share my other socials but feel free to follow me over on my main blog @ripley-stark if you like! It’s just pretty gifs and photos of my favorite movies and shows, social justice, meta reblogs here and there, and rambling in the tags. Don’t feel like you have to follow if you don’t want to; I say a lot more on here.
That being said, I have given my Goodreads to a handful of people who ask, so if you want to track what I’m reading, private message me and I’ll send you the link. In the case that I share the link with you, please respect my privacy and do not repost or share the link anywhere else unless you see me share it on my blog publicly.
18. fandom research:
In March to May 2019, I conducted a survey on my blog in an attempt to gather information about fandom through a social justice–specifically, intersectional feminist–lens. Here are the results and my analysis of the survey x. The purpose for this data collection was to write my final undergraduate research paper in one of my two majors, women’s and gender studies (the other is creative writing!), which focused on diversity and inclusion in genre fiction media and fandom. The final paper is about 11k words. I haven’t publicly published it, but message me if you’re interested in reading it! I also plan on doing more similar surveys to gather information about what audiences want to see in future media, so if anyone is interested, please send messages, asks, comments etc about what YOU want to see and/or ideas about how we can spread the info to creators. This is much bigger than just me and I can’t do it without your help. I love hearing from diverse voices and amplifying them as much as I can. Everyone’s perspective is meaningful!
19. when did you start your blog?
No earlier than the end of April or beginning of May 2018.
20. how did you decide your url?
I wish the Celaena/Dorian/Chaol love triangle resolved in a polyamorous relationship, and that Nehemia and Sorscha were thriving. Seeing as I am black, Sorscha is one of two characters in T0G who represents me. Thus, polyamorous + Sorscha. :)

References for character poses
Feeling stuck? Wanna get better at drawing characters but running out of poses to draw? Suffering from Imposter syndrome? Keep reading ---------------- v
I’ve compiled some resources on where to find anatomy/character references just ‘cuz I felt the need to share with my mutual artist friends.
1) Google has an endless supply of stock photos. Use it, specify your google search for a particular pose or scenario. You can also check out Pinterest as well. Recommended: Check out her tumblr as she has tons of tips/advice on Art-related stuff esp anatomy :) . You’ll probably fall down a rabbit hole there. https://s0ffia.tumblr.com She also compiled a Master list of all the Stock Models online https://s0ffia.tumblr.com/post/138050486556/masterpost-stock-model
2) If you prefer to make your own poses from scratch, download the Magic Poser app. The app comes with default poses, but if you’d like to take it to the next level - you can pose them however way you want. You can even modify the light source and angle! BUT that is recommended for people who understand / already familiar with the anatomy. If not -
3) Anatomy360 has a lot of free references on the human anatomy https://anatomy360.info/anatomy-scan-reference-dump/, You’ll need to sign up for an account to access these. There is also - https://www.human-anatomy-for-artist.com/ http://reference.sketchdaily.net/en If you type up Anatomy on tumblr or pinterest, you’ll be bombarded with tons of information on it.
4 a) If you are serious about getting better at your anatomy, go to figure drawing classes and draw nude models to understand how the body works and moves - the hands, the arms, the legs, and the muscles! This will definitely boost your drawing skills up by 20%-50%, if you keep practicing.
If you can’t shell out $15-25 for a 3-hour life drawing session, and are comfortable at home - There are youtube channels like Croquis Cafe that shows nude models posing for 30 seconds to 3-5 minutes at a time. My fav are the 15-30 second poses since you just mainly focus on gesture and movement - https://www.youtube.com/user/onairvideo. What is the difference between drawing from photos vs. real life?
When you go to life drawing classes, everything is all in 3-D form - you can visually understand how muscles stretch and contract, foreshortening, how the fatty parts of the body squishes when it meets a hard surface or object, the body mass and weight, how lighting wraps around the body, etc.. You won’t grasp these concepts in a photo or video - which is all 2-D. 4 b) If you’re not comfortable drawing nude models, simply draw people in public spaces - which is another great way to understand the anatomy and clothing/wrinkles. Make sure you don’t attract their attention though, it will creep them out. It’s best to sketch in malls, parks where there are tons of people doing activities.
Resources - https://makingamark.blogspot.com/2008/04/10-tips-for-how-to-sketch-people.html https://lynnechapman.blogspot.com/2010/06/sketching-people.html 5) Last but not least - you can always look in the mirror and draw yourself using different lighting angles. Or atleast take pictures of yourself and just reference from that :) --- Anywho - that’s all the info I have! Feel free to PM / ask me more questions on this :) Also , I will likely update this page in the future incase I forgot to add more important tid bits.

Who is THE video essay YouTuber for you? Who makes you drop everything without fail as soon as you see new content of theirs in your sub box? And while we’re on the topic of YouTubers, who are some of your favorites in general?
I dunno if it counts as making “video essays” because they’re way closer to documentaries, but The Gaming Historian is usually a “drop everything and watch it” guy for me.
The same goes for Ahoy. Come to think of it, he’s been quiet for a while now. I wonder when the next video is? Last year he did a fantastic Polybius video for Halloween.
I do this thing where when I’m inspired, sometimes it feels like I’m writing in someone else’s voice. Like, I can hear them reading my text out loud in my head as I write. There have been a couple videos now (ones that aren’t out yet) where I’ve written them hearing both The Gaming Historian and Ahoy reading them back to me as I write.
As for favorite Youtubers (which I will take as Youtube channels), I do have the Recommendation section, but I haven’t updated that in like three or four years now. A more recent list of shoutouts:
I’ve mentioned Accursed Farms before, because Ross Scott does extremely good work talking about online game preservation and now increasingly messed up it is that more and more games are becoming totally unplayable due to today’s business practices. Ross also just does good, weird video reviews of games I’ve usually never heard of, on top of the fantastic Freeman’s Mind series, which tells the events of Half-Life and Half-Life 2 from Gordon Freeman’s inner-monologue.
My friend Chess is one of the few people that streams where I find myself compelled to be present at almost every single one of their streams. Maybe I’m just bias because I think Chess is super cool, but she’s very funny and often streams weird games. If I can’t make it to one of her streams live, I usually watch archives.
Corridor Digital and Corridor Crew is probably the closest thing to “stereotypical youtubers” that I subscribe to. They are VFX artists that make short films for Youtube. I’m a little skeptical of them sometimes, because they can be kind of clickbaity (especially on the behind-the-scenes crew channel) and they have a podcast where they’ve, like, interviewed guys like Logan Paul from that Joe Rogan perspective of “I’m engaging with toxic people because I’m just asking questions, bro 😏" but generally I think they’re entertaining and informative.
I usually recommend BlameSociety with an asterisk at the end. These are the guys who, a decade ago, did Chad Vader: Day Shift Manager. It’s what they’re famous for. Since then they’ve kept the lights on doing more usual Youtuber stuff. I used to really like Beer & Board Games but it ended up getting kind of stale, so really, I mainly watch their channel now for Welcome To The Basement, their show where one person suggests a movie the other hasn’t seen and they talk about it. Usually they’re kind of obscure, but not always. I don’t watch enough movies, but these guys make me feel like I’m still absorbing something about them.
I would be remiss not to mention LGR. I watch everything he puts out because he usually focuses on an era of gaming and technology I couldn’t really afford. Up until 1998 or so all we had was a monochrome Hyundai computer. Didn’t have a HDD or anything. LGR’s videos show me what I was missing. And lately he’s also just been getting in to weird tech oddities, and his thrift store shopping series is jazz for my soul.
Obviously if I’m going to mention Ahoy and The Gaming Historian, I feel like I have to shout out Game Maker’s Toolkit. These are usually very thoughtful, very meticulous breakdowns of how and why certain game concepts work. There have been one or two times where I haven’t 100% agreed with what he said, but 99.8% of the time he’s usually saying some very smart things. Pick just about any video and it’s am academic treat.
I could keep going for a long time, but the last one I’ll rep is Brickroad. He was the first Let’s Play channel I ever subscribed to, and while he’s not as energetic as, say, The Game Grumps, and he can sometimes have weird, old-man opinions about games, I find something soothing about his videos. I guess it’s that thing people sometimes bring up – the “parasocial relationship,” where sometimes people watch videos like Let’s Plays because they give off the sense of hanging out with a friend. I guess that’s the kind of vibe I get from Brickroad. His videos are never super popular, but he’s been doing them for something like a decade and they’re always entertaining enough for me.

Presentation research:
Now I am going to be looking into stuff which is similar to my project. This is going to be stuff which is inspired by Dishonoured 2, Resident evil 7 and just normal single player horror games. I will mainly be looking on Itch.io for games similar to what I am making. I am going to be looking at how they present it, how does it stand out, How large it is, If they have videos/screenshots,how old is it and if it is trademarked.
This is the first game I have looked into called “Inside”. From what I can gather by looking at the screenshots is that it is a single player first person horror where you are inside a house. The page also comes with a trailer too. The page is very well laid out which grabs people attention. This could lead someone to come and play the game.
youtube
Now although it say that the trailer contains no spoilers which is really good I feel like that it really didn't get across that it was a horror game. It wasn't scary at all and I found it rather boring. It however says that it is a game roughly 1 hour long which has 4 endings. Although the trailer was disappointing I still wanted to look more into the game so I went and found a playthrough of it. This is so I could not only get an idea as to level design but I could also see what someone else who was playing the game thought of it.
youtube
Although the game doesn't have a super realistic look which is what I am hoping to achieve in my game I feel like some people really enjoy basic low poly horror games. From the look at the video you wake up in a random place and are given an EMF reader. This gives the feeling that the game has a theme of ghosts in it. They also have many notes lying around which add in some environmental storytelling to the game. Throughout the game you can pick up books which give you a bit more story to what is happening in the game. I t also looks like in the game you are avoiding an enemy which is walking around the map. This can add a tad bit of horror to the game. However I feel like it lacks the right audio in order to make it feel like a horror game.
Although the game does not contain a year which it was made it has the cheat codes log being released in September of 2020. Due to there being youtube videos dating back to about 4 months ago I would have to assume that the game did come out around early september.
Hounted House:
This is the second Horror itch.io game I am looking too which has the player going through a haunted house. I chose this as I feel like the experience may be similar to the sort of game I hope to make. At a first glance I can assume the game came out about 4 years ago due to the date on the comments. The page does look somewhat bland but it does contain some screenshots as well as a trailer.
This is a trailer for the game. While watching through the trailer I like the piano playing throughout as well as the ambient noise. This gives it a somewhat horror feel. Only thing I would change is maybe make it a tad bit longer and include a bit more horror to it as it wasnt that scary in all honesty.
youtube
In the comments someone did also post a link of them doing a playthrough of the game. Due to the video only being 10 minutes I can only assume that this is quite a short game to play.
youtube
After watching the video it looks like the person who was playing it was confused as to where they actually were meant to go or do. This means that the creator didn't make it clear as to where the player is meant to go or where they are headed. The player also had a lot of issues of the game crashing which made him frustrated. Another thing is that the enemies don't have any animation which instead of making the game scary it somewhat made it funny as the enemies just looked ridiculous.
Crrepy House:
This is another game I have found which has the same concept as my game where the player goes through a house full of horror.I am mainly looking into these games for level design inspiration as I actually don't have things such as an inventory or anything in my game. While looking at the page I find it to be quite nicely done. Although it doesn't have a background image for the page I find it to be quite nice. I like the top picture and find the design to be really nice and fitting.
When you click on the more information it tells you when it was published and last updated.
Unfortunately the game doesn't have a trailer or any clips of people playing through the game. This means I can only see the game from what I see in the screenshots. I feel like if the person put some videos on the page then it might entice people in more to play the game.
Mansion of fear:
This is the fourth itch game I am going to be looking into and first off the page is awful looking. The background and text are both so dark you can barely read what the text says. However the page does at least have screenshots and a trailer. The game was released on the 1st of june 2014 so is quite an old game.
After watching the trailer I in all honesty didn't find it to be that scary. You only really get to see the monster at the end who is so tiny that you barely see him approach you and he doesn't really have any scary animations. I also hate how there is no ambient music or sounds. This would really add to the horror and put the player on edge more.

MUN MEME !!
Rules : answer the questions you’re given, write 11 of your own and tag 11 people.
Tagged by: @ghostlyheropoltergeist Tagging: @silver-strings-of-fate, @myspiritremains, @my-mechanical-hero, @lowkeyunhinged, @quirkless-wonder, @heroic-wrath
Questions to answer:
How old were you when you first started writing?
I believe I was like, what, 11? 12? years old when I actually became invested in RPing specifically. Writing? Not entirely sure, maybe 10 if any traces of memories even go that far back.
When and in what fandom were you in when you first started RP?
For the when, it’s answered in question one; but for the latter, I actually wasn’t in any fandom!
On what platform did you first do RP?
People are gonna be so confused, but Youtube, actually, back when they allowed people to host live stream chats for people to check out videos together.
What are some alternate or other muses you’ve written in the past, or are still writing now in another place? If there are none, then who do you wish you had a muse for?
I have so many fandomless OC’s who are now collecting dust in the box, including muses (now-turned-to-their-own-OC’s) from Summon Night: Twin Age -- Millisar, Nassau, Ticah and Ayn -- as well as a few Digimon muses.
If you were to write a book, then what do you think it might be about? If you have no idea, list a story concept you’ve seen in another book or thing you like!
There was definitely a story -- or at least a world I wanted to build upon -- which derived from my dreams. It was a dream on a vast, complex history of some kind of fantasy world, taking place over vast lands some ways from a kingdom that used to be below a sacred floating kingdom in the air, a kingdom where celestial beings used to thrive. I can’t remember the details, but I do know I wrote it down in a word document so if anybody’s interested, I can throw it out there for you guys to read. At one point I tried diving further into it and using it for a romance story, but that never happened.
What cliches get you good, and which ones make you cringe?
Hm good question, I actually can’t think of anything right now, but if I do remember any I’ll prob come back to this and update my answer.
Do you believe in equality over all spectrums?
Depends on the subject of ‘what spectrum’. Equality, individuality, liberalism -- there’s a level of agreement for all of them but only up to a particular degree.
What do you think would be elements of a good dystopian world?
Maybe at least one output in which a person can escape to so they can release their individuality in. Like a special... personal... cube they can dive into, idfk. Individuality is a very important aspect to me.
Do you think that a utopia can have both freedom of thought and overall peace at the same time?
The only peaceful utopia I can think of is just having a small community where everyone knows each other and stuff but mainly keep to themselves while respecting the other person’s property.
What is something that you wish for with every fiber of your being?
To put it at its simplest form: to suddenly have all of my shit together as a functioning citizen of this butchered-up society of a country I live in so I can get the fuck out of my parents house, live confidently on my own, get it made real good, and finally live together with my boyfriend.
If you could have one object, anything in the world, what would it be? Don’t think too hard about it, just whatever comes to your mind first!
I n f i n i t e M o n e y.
My questions for you:
// tbh i legit cannot think right now, so just use the ones i used

ACE ATTORNEY MASTERPOST - UPDATED 04/09/2017
Strap in everyone, this is 16 years worth of content. Disclaimer: may contain minor spoilers and Opinions™. Also, I tried my best, but this still isn’t a conclusive list. If you have any additions/corrections, please let me know! (under the cut for length so mobile users need to click through)
Contents:
Main series games (including availability)
Spin-off games (including where you can access)
Other official media (including stage plays + links)
Notable fan media (musicals + Youtube)
MAIN SERIES
First things first, the core six games (release dates are of western release) :
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (2005 [DS])
The game that started it all. This game deals with Phoenix’s first cases as a lawyer, and has a really solid internal arc that has appeared in so much other media now that I don’t appreciate it as much as I probably should anymore. Edgeworth is main prosecutor. Five cases. Available on DS, 3DS eShop, Wiiware, and iOS.
PWAA: Justice for All (2007 [DS])
The second game carries on character development and gives more background on the Fey clan, introducing the concept of Psyche-Locks. The last case of this game is my favourite in the series because I live for the #drama. Franziska is main prosecutor. Four cases. Available on DS, 3DS eShop, Wiiware, and iOS.
PWAA: Trials and Tribulations (2007 [DS])
This game finishes off the initial trilogy of games. Includes flashbacks where you play as Phoenix’s mentor Mia when she was a rookie, so you get to see young Phoenix. The last case of this one is another one which completely owns me. This game gets kinda fucked up. Godot is main prosecutor. Five cases. Available on DS, 3DS eShop, Wiiware, and iOS.
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney (2008)
Takes place 7 years after the previous game, focusing on new lawyer Apollo after Phoenix was disbarred. Introduces the ‘Perceive’ feature that lets you see people’s tells when they are lying. This is like…… a really good game, you guys. Separate from the original series, could be played as a standalone easily enough. Klavier is main prosecutor. Four cases. Available on DS, iOS, and Android.
PWAA: Dual Destinies (2013)
Phoenix Is Back. This game features anime cutscenes and voice acting, which was Very Exciting at the time and Sam Riegal is there. Introduces Athena and her ~mood matrix~ which lets you work out the truth from people’s emotions. Mixed opinions these days but most people are fucked up about the Phantom. Blackquill is the main prosecutor. Five cases + DLC. Available on 3DS eShop and iOS.
PWAA: Spirit of Justice (2016)
This game is mainly set in a separate kingdom and the revolution of that legal system. Adds a new branch to the Kurain mythos linked to the Fey clan that doesn’t make loads of sense but I loved the game so whatever. Introduces seances so you can see the victim’s final moments. Nahyuta is the main prosecutor. Five cases + DLC. Available on 3DS eShop.
SPIN OFF GAMES
Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth (2010)
This game series focuses on the investigation part rather than the court part, and you can run around the map which is pretty cool. You play as Edgeworth as more bad things happen to him and you get to see some more of the prosecutors and police. Origin of Deid Mann. Five cases. Available on DS.
Ace Attorney Investigations: Prosecutor’s Path
The sequel is arguably better than the original and there’s flashbacks to Edgeworth’s dad which is heartbreaking. It’s not released in the west, but instructions and links to play it in English with an emulator can be found here.
Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (2014)
This crossover features elements from both games, so you solve puzzles and do court cases. Also it’s medieval and there’s magic. It’s another one with cutscenes and voice acting, which is great but also TRAUMATISING. Barnham is main prosecutor. 12 cases + DLC. Available on DS.
Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Naruhodō Ryūnosuke no Bōken
The DGS games follow Phoenix’s ancestor in 1800s Japan, though it is partially set in Victorian steampunk London with Sherlock Holmes. It’s really, really good. Another one not released in the west, but you can watch the entire thing subbed here.
Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2: Naruhodō Ryūnosuke no Kakugo
This one has only recently been released in Japan and so is not subbed in full yet, and can only be played on a Japanese 3DS. Looks good though. The subbed trailer is here.
OTHER OFFICIAL MEDIA
Kodansha Comics Manga
I don’t know loads about this series but the one I read had a giant spider mutant in so. Phoenix and Maya are the protagonists. There are 15 overall, and you can get them through Amazon.
Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth (manga)
This manga series is based on the AAI games but there’s a lot more to it. The protagonists are Edgeworth and Gumshoe. There are 25 overall, again I think they can all be found on Amazon.
Ace Attorney (Film) 2012
This live-action film features cases 1, 2, and 4 from the first game. It’s got a great cast and some real tongue-in-cheek humour about how ridiculous the game is. It’s also just really cute in the way they show the characters and relationships and stuff, I would definitely recommend. You can watch it subbed here.
Anime 2016
There’s currently only one season of the anime, covering the first two games and including a couple of extra bits, like more detail on Larry, Miles, and Phoenix as kids. I’m not a massive fan of the art style and find the writing a bit dull, but the story is obviously good, the OP is a Jam, there’s good voice acting and it’s cool that it exists. You can watch the whole season for free on crunchyroll here, which I assume is legally supporting it also.
Turnabout Spotlight/Farewell, My Turnabout
It’s hard to tell, but these seem to be official stage plays. The former is a new story, whereas the latter is a dramatisation of the final case from the second game. They can be downloaded in Japanese here, though I’m not aware of any full subs available sadly.
The Truth Reborn: Musical
Capcom teamed up with Takarazuka Revue to make this all-female musical. It’s really good. It’s based on the fifth case of the first game but altered so Phoenix is more in the middle of it. It is all in Japanese, but the music is good, and it’s all very professional. You can watch it subbed here. Its success led to two more musicals, though I can’t find the second one anywhere and the third one (you can watch here) hasn’t been subbed yet.
Special Edition CD Dramas
These Japanese stories are companions to the games. Translations can be found here. [Note - the linked blog translates many other AA-related media]
NOTABLE FAN MEDIA
There’s loads of great fanworks in this fandom so this is by no means a comprehensive list, but it’ll get you started.
Turnabout Musical
Honestly? If you like Ace Attorney and you have any interest at all in musicals, you need this in your life. It’s incredible. This fan musical covers the first four cases of the first game. The songs are amazing and sample relevant music from the games, and the characterisation and interpretation of relationships is on point, in my opinion. There’s some great counterpoint too. You can watch a live production of the musical here (where the third case was cut for time), and download the full soundtrack here. The team(?) are also currently working on an Apollo Justice Musical, and you can follow their progress here.
Phoenix Wright: The Musical
This one is more of a parody, with some dumb jokes and silly costumes. Maya is arrested for murdering Larry. There aren’t a lot of actual songs, but the ones that exist are pretty good (especially Franziska’s, and, weirdly, Payne’s). You can watch it here.

NVIDIA has a new family of Android TV-based streaming devices, as tipped early via a couple of leaks from online stores. The new NVIDIA Shield TV ($ 149) and Shield TV Pro ($ 199) replace the existing Shield TV generation of hardware, which debuted in 2017. Both new Shields offer new Tegra X1+ processors, which outperform the predecessor chip by about 25 percent, and make possible one of this Shield’s new highlight features: AI-powered 3K up-conversion for HD content.
Both Shield TV and Shield TV Pro also support Dolby Vision HDR content, as well as Dolby Atmos surround sound. The differences between the two devices center mainly around physical design, with the Shield TV adopting a cylindrical tube design, and the Shield TV Pro looking more like its predecessor (basically a small set-top box form factor). The Shield TV Pro also gets more RAM (3GB vs. 2GB), more storage (16GB vs 8GB) the ability to transcode 1080p streams when acting as a Plex Media Server, support for the SmartThings Link to turn it into a SmartThings smart home hub and advanced Android gaming support, along with two USB 3.0 ports.
Shield TV Review
I’ve been using the Shield TV for around a week now, and this is definitely a worthwhile upgrade for anyone looking to get the best possible experience available in an Android TV home theater device. NVIDIA has clearly done a lot to survey the market, look at everything that’s come out in the two years since it last updated this hardware, and delivery generational improvements that help it stand out from the crowd in meaningful ways.
Android TV now ships on a lot of smart TVs, and there have been many generations of Roku and Amazon Fire TV devices introduced since we last saw a new Shield from NVIDIA – all of which adds up to needing to really do something special to ask for $ 149.99 from consumers to invest in a new dedicated streaming media box. NVIDIA has always delivered a lot of value for the upfront cost of their streaming hardware, with consistent updates over the life of the devices that add plenty of new features and improvements. But this new hardware packs in some excellent features not possible with software alone, and that are also unique when you look across the options available in this category.
AI Upscaling
Chief among the additions NVIDIA has made here is the AI upscaling made possible with the new Tegra X1+ chip. You might have heard of ‘upscaling’ before, and you might even think that your TV already handles that well. But what you probably don’t know is that often content from streaming media sources doesn’t actually get upscaled by your TV, which means if you have a 4K display but are often watching YouTube or other services with large quantities of non-4K content, you might not be getting the most out of your hardware.
NVIDIA has addressed this with on-device 4K upscaling, which is powered by on-device machine intelligence that has been trained on a deep neural network to turn both 720p and 1080p signals into much sharper, 4K-equivalent images. Having used this on a variety of content, including media streamed from YouTube, non-4K Netflix content and stuff from Plex, I can attest to its ability to produce visibly sharper images that look great, especially on my LG C8-series OLED 4K TV.
The Shield TV’s tech is trained on popular movies and TV shows, and so does a remarkably good job of guessing what the 4K version of the HD image it’s looking at should properly look like. Considering that there’s a ton of content out there that hasn’t been made available in 4K, despite now a lot of TVs supporting that resolution, this is a big advantage for NVIDIA, and again one that they uniquely offer among their peers.
Dolby Everything
These new Shields also support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, across more services than anything else out there on the market right now. These HDR and surround sound modes really do offer the best audio-visual experience you can get, provided you have TVs and audio output equipment that supports them, but what you might not know is that even on other streaming hardware that technically support these standards, they might not be supported across all services.
Shield TV supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos across Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Vudu and Movies Anywhere, so you should be getting the most out of these technologies, too. I asked about the forthcoming Apple TV+ service, which is rolling out to Roku devices, for instance, but NVIDIA didn’t have any news to share just yet – it does seem like it’s a good idea to stay tuned on that front, however.
Like AI Upscaling, Dolby support across everything might not seem like a big competitive advantage, but it’s absolutely a decision tipping factor for people who are looking for the best possible A/V experience in a home streaming device.
New and Improved Remote
NVIDIA is shipping the new Shield TVs with a brand new redesigned remote in the box. There’s a dedicated ‘Netflix’ button, which is a nice touch, but the remote overall is just an improvement over both Shield remotes past, and other competing remotes, in every way. It’s powered by AAA batteries (included) and it has a new pyramid-shaped body design that makes it easier and more pleasant to hold.
There are also lots of new buttons! Yes, NVIDIA actually put buttons on their remote control – what a novel concept! Whereas the remote from the last generation seemed to be adopting a lot of the questionable choices Apple has long been making on their remotes, this one feels like it’s made with humans in mind, with dedicated play/pause, back, forward, volume and other buttons. A wealth of buttons.
This remote also has automatic backlighting, which will serve you well when using it in a darkened room. Because of the bulkier body design, it also stands on its end, and there’s a lost remote finding function, too. Chalk up a win for human-centric design with this remote, it’s a joy to use.
Simple physical design
The design of the device is not flashy, but it is smart. There’s an Ethernet port, a power connector, an HDMI port and a micro SD card slot, dividing across both ends of the tube. This makes it perfect for placing behind a console or media bench, on the ground or next to your other power cables.
It still provides hardwired connectivity options in case you do things like in-home game streaming or GeForce NOW cloud gaming, and it offers expandable storage via the microSD slot.
Bottom Line
NVIDIA’s new Shield is a great option for anyone looking for a versatile streaming device, with access to all of Google’s Play Store apps for Android TV, and support for the latest AV standards. It’s real bonus advantage is that AI upscaling, however, which is something that NVIDIA is uniquely poised to do well, and which goes a long way in making that $ 149.99 price point seem like a tremendous value.
