As glorious as his muscles are, he's not used to getting compliments, so when you compliment him he gets a huge smile on his face

he was shaped for violence, hands carefully constructed to murder

the sentience came with grief, sorrow, rage… but love? this big fella doesn’t even love himself, to begin with

it’s hard for him to cope with affection, to learn the aspects of it, mostly the very subtle nuances of reciprocation

but it’s you, and since you came along, this foreign feeling haunts him 

and when you say “I love you” first… he’s so silent you’re scared you’ve broken him with this three words alone

“How is it possible for you to love a being as myself?”

he feels the urge to say something back, but simply can’t vocalize the words he’s dying to say

you know he’s overwhelmed already, his pride contrasting his feelings, so you don’t push him too far: Ramattra shows you enough

the shadows engulf you both before you can blink, and his ghostly touch stops just inches away from your cheek

he departs with a last glance over his shoulder, to never look back again 

if he wasn’t who he was, maybe things would be different

yet if things weren’t the same, you two wouldn’t even met

Reinhardt

he’s a hero and will always be

but that doesn’t mean Reinhardt is invincible

that’s why you’re laying by his side, taking extra care to not accidentally touch the bandages covering his torso

you’re little injured from the last mission, a few scratches maybe

thanks to him, who jumped right into the moment to keep your head glued to your neck

per usual, he would be flourishing the battle tales and his epic acts, his thunderous laugh echoing through the HQ, but now?

the sadness contorting his face breaks your heart 

he stares down at you, one calloused thumb tracing under the thin line of the stitches on your cheekbone

“I’ve let them hurt you”

despite him throwing his arm over your shoulder and resting his head on yours every goddamn time he has a chance

not that you see Cole like that with anyone else, but

sometimes, he would still flinch when you touch him out of blue

Mauga thoughts

He is a biter

He WILL bite you if you hold him down

The only one who can really keep Mauga under control after Baptiste left Talon is Doomfist

Doomfist uses violence for that (of course) (he has been bit while holding him down) (uses his gauntlet hand around Maugas head now)

Mauga refuses to let Moira experiment on him (even though she'd love to), my boy has had enough of unpermitted alterations to his body, even though he liked the changes the first time

He really doesnt get along with Reaper

Reaper is very bitter/serious/stern about the fights and Talon's mission, completely opposite of Mauga who sees it as a game and a fun way to spend his time

Reaper tells Mauga regularily that this isnt a game and that he should stop playing with dying men

Mauga is not impressed by any of reapers threats, he finds them amusing at best

#1 reaper bully, walks through him on purpose on a daily basis just cause he likes the feeling of the smoke on his skin

Sombra sympathizer

There are not many other fun people to spend time with at Talon anyways

Sombra is weary of him and pretty quickly saw through his happy and laid-back mask when she watched him in battle

But she also doesnt have many optional conversation partners at the base, so they hang out and bully Reaper together

Sombra is fascinated with how he gets his hair so nice and fluffy (the secret is the blood of your enemies)

Pranks him sometimes by putting sticky notes on his back that he cant reach because he is too buff

He can play Ukulele or at least owns one (canon)

It used to belong to Baptiste

Mauga took it from his things after he left Talon, its his only reminder of their time together

Sometimes Mauga just holds it and plays a few notes when he is reminiscing

Together with his guns one of the only things he hates people touching

Could work really well with Lucio if he wanted to

Maybe I'm writing Lucio a bit very naive here but I feel like he could be fooled by Mauga's personality (and Mauga would take full advantage of that)

Like he would bring this dude to the base á la "hey guys meet my new friend he plays ukulele and is really fun" with Mauga just grinning as everyone stares in horror

Baptiste used Mauga as a couch during their Talon times (illegal murder operations dont really provide comfortable resting places, so you make due)

Both miss it, both have no one close enough to replicate the feeling (which doesnt mean they dont try)

Mauga leans his guns on his side or the ukulele on his chest, but since everyone has enough common sense to not go anywhere near him thats all he can do

I think it would be funny if during a mission brief a very tired Sigma leans onto him (he doesnt have this famous common sense to really notice the danger radiating off Mauga) and everyone holds their breath as it happens. Against all odds Mauga doesnt say anything as he quietly enjoys it. Its not a common occurence, much to Mauga's disappointment.

Baptiste sits on the side of the couch, owns a very big pillow and the tendency to lean onto people if he gets very tired (since most people arent a 6 foot mountain of muscle  though, they dont really have the necessary strength to hold him)

Some eventually catch on and subliminally try to persuade Reinhardt to sit next to Baptiste more often. Maybe Reinhardt notices it too, but definitely not as the first lets be honest. (Reinhardt is the general couch for everyone in Overwatch who wants to, i dont make the rules)

Mauga's body needs a LOT of nutrients and protein to keep up its shape, more so with him working out on the side, so this man is constantly eating

This guy is a foodie, gets really gnarly when he's hungry and even more ruthless and unpredictable

Fish is a main food in Samoa, but since Mauga has a strong connection to the ocean and the ecosystem behind it I dont think he would eat any fish he didnt catch himself. And he doesnt trust Talon enough to verify where the fish came from. So no fish for him right now.

Is a sweettooth, there a lot of sweet samoan dishes featuring coconut milk and fresh fruit from the island

He probably often complains about the cheap quality of the fruits Talon have to offer him. They get picked too early before truly ripe or just dont seem to have the same intense flavor as an island grown fruit would have.

Can and will crack a coconut easily by hand. Or rather by teeth.

(I wonder if that is humanly possible)

(I looked it up. You need around 610N to crack open a coconut. Humans can bite with about 1000-1400N. So its possible. Crazy.)

Being used to warm and tropical weather he struggles with any mission too far up north. He has to wear more clothing during those, limiting his mobility and effectiveness.

Probably has a hard time finding fitting clothes in general, Talon has a special seamstress just for this case. (And for Doom and Sigma too probably, they are huge)

Is a very well educated man and still keeps up with recent studies and research, especially revolving around marine biology.

He doesnt show this side of him in public, only reading when he is alone in his room.

Sigma is able to gain access to whatever books and publications he wants, nobody really double checks because they dont care or wouldnt understand anyway. So Mauga puts his desired books on Sigma's list and takes them from his lab once they arrive.

Sombra picks up on this eventually, since she spends a lot of time with Sigma. What will she do with this information? Who knows.

Sigma isnt aware of this but does wonder why there are books about non-physics topics around. Sometimes he looks at the colourful reef pictures.

Scuba Sigma - the origin story

He knows how vital they are for marine life and relates to them.

They look and are told to be extremely aggressive, but arent. They still are incredibly powerful and efficient killing machines though. There is a nice metaphor compared to himself here. Somewhere.

Corrects anyone badmouthing sharks and doesnt care if that feels "out of character" to bystanders

Always wanted to learn how to surf but is lacking balance and a normal body size. And since being in Talon, time. And water. Everything really, but he thinks about it sometimes.

Good swimmer, his body shape is not super helpful but he makes up for it with great strength and form

Loves to dive, not necessarily in whole gear, but he can hold his breath longer than average

Generally just enjoys being in water

Knows how to catch fish (of course)

Usually you'd catch fish with a traditional net or maybe hook and rod, but Mauga knows how to spearfish and sometimes does it to show off

If there are no current missions he helps out carrying cargo and other equipment around Talon quarters. Its something of a practical workout for him.

Not a drinker. One or two bottles of beer at most. He wants to be in full control and aware of his sorroundings at all times.

He does pretend to be more intoxicated to provoke bystanders to let their guard down.

If he truly gets wasted he is the silent type. The "stares at you uncomfortably from a corner"-type. His extroverted and noisy facade disappears, revealing the cunning and sadistic spirit inside.

Ramattra won, he defeated The Talon and their corrupted leader, ending their vile schemes, a perfect punishment for taking the life of his fallen brother, Mondatta. Next, he took down overwatch, forcing those to disband.

However, some chose to fight back, but none won the battle and perished. The first to go down was Reinhardt. He refused to disband and try to fight ramattra. Although Reinhardt had many advantages, he failed to realize ramattra was more tactical than a brute.

Brigitte quickly joined in the fight and tried to save Reinhardt. Torbjourn screamed at her name, trying to stop her from getting killed, ramattra never intended to hurt or kill her, but she got into the heat of the battle, the last thing she ever saw was ramattra fist.

Torbjourn saw his daughter's head get splattered from impact, this caused torbjourn to go rogue and tried to kill ramattra.

Ramattra felt sorry for the old man, a parent should've have never watch their children die before them, he gave torbjourn a quick death.

"I am sorry" ramattra spoke, he indeed felt somewhat guilty, looking down at torbjourn dead corpse, he carries torbjourn's corpse placing him next to his daughter, hoping in the afterlife they can hold each-other again.

The rest of the overwatch heroes disbanded, some went vigilante while others try to live a normal life. Pariah and Ana argued about not stopping ramattra, Ana kept convincing her not to go rogue, but Pariah never listened.

Tracer tries to live a normal life with her girlfriend, as her girlfriend comforts her. Knowing tracer like the back of her hand.

Other heroes like Winston kept trying to bring back overwatch together but no one listened only tracer and Mei, juno thought of joining in, but Mei quickly stops her, not wanting to put her to danger.

Everything was normal but not the same like before....

back to what happened, with other factions

Vishkar was sort of different. They secretly try to work with ramattra but ramattra was no fool, he saw how corrupted they were, believing they were worse than Talon themselves. When he told them to change their ways, some refused and not even a month or week, the cooperation shut down quickly. No one knows what happened to them.

But junkers had the worst, for none made it out Alive, all the junkers were ripped apart by omnics seeking out revenge and hatred, many were humiliated, killed, and tortured. Junkrat, roadhog tried to protect the queen but were killed in the process.

The champion himself was forced to leave but he refused and fought back only for his sphere to get destroyed and now is a hamster in the cage... atleast they feed him well ...

And lastly junker queen, was humiliated by ramattra, she was more difficult but with the help but all his allies it didn't take long for ramattra to break her and give her a gruesome death.

After many wars, forcing many governments and militaries to give up, ramattra begins a new era with a help of Maximilian on his side, of course Ramattra knew how much a greedy omnic he is but ramattra needed him to get more factions to work with him, and Maximilian was good at that.

Years went on and on, and a few heroes passed away, including hammond. Null Sector became bigger and bigger and made a few companies and companions. But Ramattra's grew more corrupted by so much power. It made him too prideful and a cruel leader.

But that change when Zenyatta showed up to Ramattra office, Ramattra was delighted and hoping his brother would show up. Ramattra, let's Zenyatta enters the building

Zenyatta looks around. The inside looks dull with purples highlights and, of course, weapons and armor, two big omnics lead Zenyatta to Ramattra office.

"Brother..." A deep, raspy voice, the office door opens for zenyatta, the two omnics leave to go back guarding the entrance of null Sector. Ramattra stands tall but relaxed.

Ramattra leads his brother in his office, zenyatta sits on one of the chairs, a little surprised how comfortable the chair is... has a nice look, too.

But ramattra looked different. He was more buffer and slightly bigger. He changed his old monk clothes, it was no longer orange but purple but greyish. It looked more fancy and authority like, with armor bracers that had purple highlights, and of course, the Null Sector symbol on the right armor shoulder plate.

At first, everything was going well, until zenyatta mentioned how his rules were... not suitable for humans, and that slightly ticked ramattra. The argument was calm, but it went on and on and more heated. Zenyatta tried to reason, but Ramattra kept trying to counter it.

"Brother, this isn't to you offend. Your rules are hurting them. They're slowly dying," Zenyatta said, his voice was calm but trying to make ramattra understand that his rules were ruthless.

"My rules are to make omnics live a better life" ramattra snarls, he's not letting zenyatta win this argument.

"But are harming the human life aswell" Zenyatta counters back, he hopes ramattra can understand but ramattra was stubborn to understand.

"Then they will have to adapt, and bare it" ramattra said with no hesitation.

"Adapt to a rule that can never truly be adapted" Zenyatta said, his voice sounding more and disappointed.

The argument kept getting gor heated, to the point ramattra lashes out, something Zenyatta was not ready, and something ramattra will regret for the rest of his life.

Zenyatta didn't had time to dodge, or block as he felt his faceplate hit by ramattra fist, this impact blasted him few feet away, Ramattra realizing what he done, he quickly ran up to his brother.

But Zenyatta got up by himself up and lifted his hand to stop Ramattra from getting near him. And slowly, Zenyatta turns to look at Ramattra...

Ramattra looked at his brother he felt guilt all over him. If his faceplate could make emotions it would be in shock.

Zenyatta faceplate was not only damaged, but the left side of Zenyatta optic was destroyed. The circuit was sparking slightly but soon stopped.

Zenyatta didn't really think ramattra could go this far but now he does.

"B... Brother i-" Ramattra was cut off by Zenyatta lifting his hand up once again, Zenyatta finally realized that the Brother he knew is no longer himself and grew to be too prideful like doomfist himself.

"No... t-t-there's no need... I've b-B-believed my presence c-c-Caused enough trouble as it d-ddid.... I'll take my leave... B-b-Brother..." Zenyatta spoke, even his voice box was broken from the harsh impact, his voice sounding glitchy.

Zenyatta slowly walks out of his office all the way out of Null Sector. Some omnics seemed to know what happened and went to check if ramattra was alright, which ramattra brushed them off.

Once he was alone again, he looked out the window. He slowly walked to his right, leading himself to a giant screen, he looks at the screen, revealing the city he created. He saw omnics living the life they wanted, while the humans who also lived but their isn't much like it use to be.

There was hardly a single human around, only two or three but not enough, he sees a human, teenager walking only to gett dragged into the alleyways. He can already tell what will happen next.

He keeps watching the screen, showing many ways of humans dying. Some were innocent others were not.

It's slowly and slowly started to look... similar...

To human violence...

Ramattra looks down at his curved staff, holding the orb of discord...

His optics were on the orb, then slowly looking back at the screen...

He won, but not in the way he hoped for...

Zenyatta travels once again, helping others. Many ask for guidance, and others brush him off.

His travels were difficult, but he managed. When he finally found a spot to rest, he looked up at the sky, the stars were everywhere once again, and the city lights were gone.

• Kiriko and Hana began their relationship not long after Kiriko had joined Overwatch. The two immediately hit things off, and after a few secret dates here and there, Kiriko eventually got the guts to ask her favorite pilot to be her girlfriend. Hana had never been so giddy.

• Of course, both women aren’t exactly dead-set on letting everyone know of their relationship right away. Especially with Kiriko already focused on getting to know members of the team. It’d be pretty odd to introduce yourself as the girl dating someone they’d been working with for years, so keeping it a secret is a given. At least for a little while.

• The two enjoy spending their free time together playing video games or cooking (Kiriko being the cook and Hana being the taste-tester). So it isn’t unusual to see the two disappear after missions (assuming they’re stable), training sessions, or meetings.

• Genji, Angela, Fareeha, Cassidy and Lena are the only ones 100% convinced about their uncomfirmed relationship. There are others who are suspicious, though, like Lucio.

• Kiriko loves being a tease with Hana, and she often does so in front of the others with subtle touches. Brushing the back of her hand against Hana’s, getting up behind her closely when she wants to observe what Hana’s doing- things like that. Seeing Hana’s face go crimson never gets old.

• Hana, on the other hand, enjoys teasing verbally. Choice words to get Kiriko flustered, like little compliments that to others seem platonic, but to Kiriko are far from it.

“I’ll never understand how you throw them daggers like that, fox girl.” Cassidy took a sip of his bourbon, clearing his throat with a gruff cough as he gestured towards Kiriko with a nod. Glancing at the others across the room, being Reinhardt, Angela, Lena and Jack, the cowboy let out a low chuckle. “She’s got skill, that’s for sure.”

“You bet.” Jack replied with a smirk, nodding towards Kiriko like a proud father. The newcomer, upon realizing all eyes were on her, sheepishly rubbed the back of her neck with a hand, murmuring a small “thanks” and smiling warmly.

Hana however, being right beside to her, noticed this, and decided to add in a word of her own.

“Couldn’t have said it any better,” she quipped, expression bright as she leaned over the island counter, “I’ve been telling her how good she is with her hands.”

Watching Kiriko’s face turn that red that fast made Hana Song’s entire year. This moment was also Cassidy’s final straw in his raising suspicions.

Hana, sounds muffled by Kiriko’s palm over her mouth, was currently pinned to a bathroom door, writhing against it as pleasure overwhelmed her. Her legs were pried open by a single hand between them; a flustered mess, the pilot brought a hand up to hold on tightly to her girlfriend’s jacket, whining words like “yes,” “faster,” “fuck.” Eyes half-lidded, weak sounds of need fell past her covered lips, her breathing erratic.

Kiriko, eyes dilated at the sight of her lover like this, kept her gaze focused on Hana’s sopping wet heat, her fingers working swiftly to bring the brunette to her peak. “You’re doing so good, Hana…” She murmured coolly, smirking a little as she finally looked up to make eye contact.

she was kinda nervous to ask you to be her Valentine cause she’s never really had one

plus she’s worried what she’s planned won’t be enough

but all of that melts away when she picks you up and sees your smile at the cute little fox donuts she gives you

she doesn’t let on what she has planned, but she has her bike waiting outside with an extra helmet for you

she actually takes you all the way across town to a karaoke/ramen bar!

they’re doing a Valentine’s Special for karaoke where its duets only, and it only takes a second of your girlfriend making puppy dog eyes at you to get you up on the stage

she surprises you by choosing one of your favorite duet songs and having near perfect choreography

her dancing and singing is just so fun and cute that it’s infectious and you start trying to dance with her

Ranking all the OI I read. Part 1: the lesser.

It'll be like my tier list except with added stories from the haven't read yet section and of course my opinions.

Since Tumblr only allows 30 images per post and a daily pass based on how many pictures can be posted at all. I'll be posting this list through multiple parts starting with the worst. Get ready because there's gonna be a lot of negativity right now.

Starting with the tier I like to call "Absolute dog shit." Terrible plots, gross content being glamourized and little to no potential at all.

honestly picking the worst of the worst was hard cause there's so many to choose from.. and I think the title of the absolute worst doesn't go to Remarried empress or Today the villainess has fun again..

Its this one: beware of the brothers

I really can't say I was surprised 😭. I mean.. look at the damn title. The FL gets adopted into the family because she looks like the ML's dead sister and it just.. escalates into step-bro love. "But it's not related by blood-" still incest and even if they didn't grow up together, WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO FUCK SOMEONE WHO LOOKS LIKE YOUR DEAD SIBLING!?

The order of slave breeding

Yes this is an actual manhwa.. I genuinely wanna know why the author just looked at themselves in the mirror and said "Yes this is a good idea." As the title suggests.. it's about a slave merchant for a FL and her slaves falling in love with her and as if it couldn't be uncomfortable enough it is one of the few manhwa with a dark skinned ML. I don't care how many times they'll offer excues for the lead I don't fw slavery being used as a romance device in media.

I belong to house Castillo

Technically I didn't read all of it, I just read the spoilers for the rest of the chapters but to be fair, I just got finished cursing myself by reading stepbro fantasies and master/slave ships, I'm not trying to give my FBI agent a reason to search my hard drives. It's a basic and cliché found family where the FL Estelle is sold by her mother to her father and the ML is a 17 year old who basically grooms her..why? Because raising your love interest is the "only" way to make a story stand out amongst the other generic found family tales.

I tamed my ex husband's mad dog.

More cases of grooming except this time it's the FL as the perpetrator. ML looks like he's 8 but he's apparently 16.. so we got a groomer protagonist in the form of Reinhardt who also neglects her first child and favors her second child she had with her victim with the excuse of not wanting to care for her son being that he looks like her toxic ex. Lady what? That boy deserves his own villain arc holy shit.

No more turning a blind eye.

This one really dissapointed me 😔. The cover looked stunning, the artstyle while a little off was still eye catching and the title sounded promising. Nah this is a hunk of junk that had a gentrification plot for some reason.. and you were supposed to sympathize with the guy who wanted to render hundreds of people homeless to make room for art galleries or whatever it was they wanted?

The dragon kings bride

I already knew this one was probably gonna suck judging by the title. First off it treats dark skinned people like barbarians, the ML Hakan meets Lucina when she's a child, Lucina is threatened with death if she doesn't marry him and you can probably guess where it goes. Like I said I don't really have a right to be shocked but it still goes on the list for its weird obsession with Lucina being so tiny that having sex with Hakan could kill her along with a not so hidden pregnancy fetish.

I became the tyrants secretary.

Its just workplace sexual harassment, theres not much to it. Cannot stand the ML who is a basic garbage human and Rosalyn is a block of wood when it comes to personality. She wants to do all these things but she has no spine and no will to actually do them but at the same time shes so good at everything on a whim. I usually don't mind a clueless FL but Jesus christ! She makes Adrien Agreste look smarter!

The villains savior

Gotta say the artstyle is really pretty and the FLs design is so cute. Everything else though is pretty bad. The point is basically the lead Ezlay is trying to essentially "fix" the ML as the title suggest. A lot of people dislike this one because Ezlay is very emotional and cries too much but that's honestly the least of the issues here. Now to be fair, Aseph is a villain so it's expected that he's gonna suck but that doesn't mean Ezlay needs to have the personality of a rock either, it's not that she cries a lot that annoys me, she's literally just a male fantasy personified. All she is absolute patience and acceptance for what Aseph does to point of enabling that toxic behavior.

Now we enter manhwas that are horrificly awful, not much difference except these ones have a bigger grain of potential

Lucia

This one got a lot of hate tiktok so naturally I had to read it and yeah, it was pretty bad. The artstyle though just.. I'm sorry but Lucia's face is literally just 👁 👄 👁 and thats not even mentioning the ML Hugo. It's really crinegy and it tries to fill that void with poorly made smut. The plot is also really and I mean REALLY dead set on 1950s values for women and the relationship between Lucia's and Hugo is downright toxic. In fact I don't even think there's a plot.. it's just porn. The only reason it's not in dogshit tier is that it's so iconic for being awful that it deserves to be higher up.

When the villainess is in love.

Okay all I can give this one is that Libertia has a better character design than Lucia. She's a mary sue but at this point that's a lot of leads nowadays so it's not a total shock but this is definitely a case where the story would be so much better if it was the actual Libertia as the protagonist instead of a carbon copy of the ogfl taking over. The worst part though is the fashion and I normally do not care about how dresses look in OI as long as they at least look good and fit the setting.. and dear God a lot of those dresses are nightmares to look at. Thankfully I had heard the novel was better.

Today the villainess has fun again

not a fan of the protagonist. Reilynn is really insufferable to follow since she's basically just an entitled asshole who thinks that just because she got transmigrated as the wealthiest woman in the land that she must be in the right because she's not like Iris who is a basic pick me girl. Beyond the fact that watching her throw money at people to get past an obstacle without effort she's also heavily written as a pedo because out of her options which had 2 green flags her age, she chooses the slave she bought who acts and looks like a 10 year old boy with attachment issues.

Try begging

what is with Solche and their weird obsession with rapist male leads? It's somehow worse then cry or better yet beg. Basically the FL Sally/Grace is a spy and when the ML Leon finds out.. he basically tortures her and SA's her multiple times and somehow they fall in love. Do with that what you will, the only slack I will kind of give Try begging is that it at least warns you of what your getting into beforehand. I really hate that Solches writing actually has so much potential to be amazing yet they use their talents to make rape fetish content. I want to know why manhwa tiktok likes this so much, they're all about girl code until a rapist looks hot (Leon isn't even hot, hes mad ugly)

Abandoned empress

Ah yes, good ol abandoned empress, the manhwa communities favorite punching bag so it's only right it lands here. For all the writers out there if your making a character you'd want the readers to support as the love interest you typically would give them an interesting personality and to tone down anything you think is too much for a healthy relationship. Abandoned empress decides to do the opposite of that and even after scenes of Ruve abusing his wife Aristia by cheating on her, beating her, SA'ing her, killing her dad, and causing her to miscarry so you would naturally think "okay clearly Ruve is the antagonist." But instead they pulled some bullshit "but he's not doing it anymore because he was poisoned in the last timeline!"... what!? Were there any new writers by any chance because how did we go from a abusive monster to a misunderstood Lil guy? I would say more but I think everyone already agreed a long time ago Abandoned empress is ass.

Revenge on the real one

the protag is essentially those villainesses in regression stories that cause the heroines initial downfall. I was already aware of what would happen before I even read and let me tell you it was accurate. The protagonist Helga is AWFUL. The torture she puts Hillian through is overkill and at this point Hillian deserves her own regression story to stand up to Helga because my girl was not that bad for her sister to ruin her life because of a stupid tragic origin story. The worst part is the Helga fans I see on places like tiktok who just don't want to admit their FL is a bad person. "Oh but Helga past was so sad! It's not her fault she's like this." Don't mean she has to banish her sister from her own nation when Hillian was innocent.

Villain Dukes precious one.

I really dislike the reincarnated as a baby trope and I can only ever tolerate it when it's just for a few little chapters. They always feel like those weird ass Elsagate videos with embarrassing humor to come across as funny and this one is no different. Even after the FL grows up the plot is still bland and cringe inducing. I don't have a lot to say about this one other then it is weird as hell. Apparently it also got a little incest-y so no thanks!

Poisonous Lily

While the characters looked basic in terms of design the title sounded intriguing. Unfortunately the translation is horrible, they can't even get the whole Lily flower theme right on the tapas version by giving her tulips to carry on her wedding. The dialog is..interesting to say the least. I won't lose it too much though on this one though since I'm pretty sure this is a lower level book trying to make it out in a sea of over advertised manhwa

I thought my time was up.

You know those porn/no plot tags on ao3? That's basically ITMTWU in a nutshell. Within only 20 chapters, the male lead Asrahan is already obsessed with Lariette after chapters of her violating his personal space to force a relationship between them. The whole magic plot is pushed to the side, Asrahans curse isn't allowed to be an actual rotting flesh curse like it's described as cause he's still gotta be pretty, and the rest of the plot is basically just soft core porn and fanservice that does little to actually move whatever is left of the plot.

For my derelict favorite.

The. Hypocrisy. How is this book gonna make the entire message about deconstructing main character centered morality and then almost immediately backpeddaling with justifying Hestia for attacking a woman who doesn't know her for rejecting her favorite man and proceeding to just ruin her day whenever she can. Hestia would say "im not like other girls." Hestia would be an avid fan of those trust fund baby GMV. Hestia would put her hair in a messy bun, shit on whatever is popular and act like she's making a statement . Even calling her Hestia feels like straight up disrespectful to the real goddess of the hearth who funnily enough is known as one of the most chill Greek gods.

Marry my husband

now Marry my husband is not insanely problematic wheras it's just cliché, predictable and in general pretty bad. It is a fast food manhwa designed to fulfill the classic top boss takes good care of you fantasy so naturally a lot is put on hold to showcase the sweet relationship between the central characters and almost everyone needs to have a lover. It's so bad it's actually kinda funny because the villains are so cartoonishly evil for office workers. Sumin is out here speaking in 3rd person, dressing in clothes found in the little kid section of Walmart and makes comical comments about her desire to ruin Jiwons life, Minhwan is basically a borderline discord mod who casually killed jiwon in the first timeline and goes "Oh well." and there's this random ugly old man who's name I can't remember who's the only one interested in Sumin till the end because he basically wants em younger without the risk of going to federal prison.

Remarried empress

I don't think i need to explain much at this point, if you know my account then you already know how I feel about remarried empress. Season 1 was pretty good though.

Divorcing my tyrant husband

I think we all know at this point that's whenever a title has the word "divorce" 9/10 of the time there is never going to be divorce and it'll devolve into the FL changing her mind and staying with her trashy ex husband because he now decided that Robelia wasn't like other girls and left his mistress in the dust. The plot kinda started getting out of hand when Robelias love interests expanded to one of her obsessed slaves and a Duke to prove that Alexandros was the better option. The villian Aisha is a joke who gets her ass handed to her over and over because "damsel woman always bad." and the art starts to lose its touch. I usually don't mind when artstyle changes but dear God do some of these characters look a Lil fugly.

Cry or better yet beg.

The final story that is in the awful section, why? Because it has the most lost potential. As terrible as this CoHo equivalent is, it details the very realistic parts of being a mistress to a nobleman. In most other stories, the mistress is an evil wench who could easily back out but in cry or better yet beg, Layla is unable to escape Matthias's abuse because it could risk her uncles job. There's a lot to this manhwa and novel that could've made a tragic story about a girl trapped in an abusive relationship with little help, the art is gorgeous and the characters for the most part were well written. It's a real shame that it turned out to be a rape apologist work instead.

next up are the mediocre manhwas, finally there will a little more positivity.

The villainess is a marionette

its.so.boring! This one was hyped up all over the place on Instagram and tiktok and the art looked stunning so I gave it a shot. This is definitely one of those stories that only got popular because of its art in my opinion because the plot is so confusing. Events are happening left and right, the pacing goes from too fast to too slow, characters personalities and traits keep warping, and while this might just be the result of poor adaptation her brother comes across as incestuous a couple of times. while Cayena isn't the worst FL, she's a mary sue by all definitions. Sorry but it's a bunch of jumbled wires. The reason it earns a spot in "it's okay" is because I heard the novel like usual is better so it might not be the fault of the original author

I was the male leads ex

It wasn't bad just boring but a little less boring then the former I'll give it that. The artstyle looked prettier in the beginning so that was kind of sad to see it change in later chapters. What drew me to keep reading was the chance that the ogfl Julianna may not be evil but even a potential love interest. So I got excited and apparently there's the idea that Julianna is actually her brother in disguise which.. would just ruin it tbh, there goes any chance at a ogfl being a human being and not a plot device. Not a huge fan of Erica or really any of the love interests.

From maid to queen

This is the newest of the lineup I read and it was actually interesting for once to see a new story where the MC was the concubine. First off the maids feel less like women employed to do the chores of the palace and more like the cartel 😭, in early chapters whenever Urania is aiming to be the concubine, being lazy with her job or getting comfortable with a powerful man in general they're already out with sticks ready to ruin her day and they even try to kill her. Lot of people don't like that Urania isn't a girls girl but honestly I can't blame her for wanting more out of life then poverty, where she comes across as stupid is that she's still wanting that role even after it got her killed last time. I think that it could work though since it shows that urania is more human and not a perfect goddess of a woman however that does not make up for the shit world building (like what the hell was that mushroom that could turn into a perfect still corpse of you 💀)

The villainess maker.

Ill admit I'm a little harsh on this one on my tier list. The plot still isn't great but there are so much worse out there so it ended up moving up on the list due to default. The plot is mostly just bland and generic down to all the characters and the tropes. Ayla is a girlboss in the villainesses body, Charlotte is a super "revolutionary" kind girl turned wicked wench and the ML is another "touch her and I'll kill you" type. What i will give the Villainess maker is the distinct artstyle. It's not as stylized and while it does get lazy at the end it still is very recognizable.

Its another extremely underrated manhwa that's another isekai about a wronged woman looking to move on from her shitty fiancé and start a dessert shop. Ngl the moments where Abella is forced to put on a kind face despite her cheating fiancé or her ex friend popping in is definitely relatable especially in the workforce. Still a little bland but wholesome.

Eleanor is the FL hired to convince the ML to accept women into his life with the hopes that he will fall in love with the ogfl Irene. Tbh this one can get very icky with how it tries to force the notion that you must fall in love but the guy just instantly falls in love with Eleanor so.. I guess that's a little better? Regardless though i will not fault this manhwa too much because unfortunately the author died before the story was over so it deserves a little slack since it never got the chance to be more. Rest in peace author.

Ill be straight with this now: it's Mid. Objectively the story isn't too terrible and I do find Athy a good protagonist not to mention my love for Jennete but everything else is pretty "meh." Not a huge fan of Claude from his design to his personality, the ML is another case of a grown as immortal meeting his wife when she's still a child (theres a little credit ill admit for Athy being mentally a grown woman but that doesnt stop me from thinking its uncomfortable to acknowledge) It can be cute sometimes and I'll give it that but I don't think I'll ever reread it, just not for me.

Good god this was such a bastardization of the original novel. With that said I'll admit i was still entertained reading it since you could say that the novel wouldn't be an instant cheat sheet to learn what was gonna happen. Still it could've at least tried to be a loyal adaptation. They give Keira 2 options to choose as a love interest when she had none in the source material, Zeke is pushed to the side and the maids honestly get on my nerves with their one note personalities. They also seem to forget that Cosette is literally being possessed by a demon he'll bent on destroying humanity (which she succeeded in the first time) because what was built up as an amazing antagonist is just a joke now. The only other redeeming factors are that in the Manhwa Cosette is still alive and the whole elemental plot stays constant. Despite my complaints on the adaptation it is still a interesting read but the novel will always beat it no matter what.

I know it sounds like I'm just being a negative Nancy with all of these and I'm sorry for being so negative but the next part will be more positive.

Starting from the top...

Ruby Rose - Death

To be perfectly honest, I can't see Ruby being all too different from normal. However, she might be a different, more mature person in the future, considering her mentor is Death himself.

Weiss Schnee - Alucard

When you get to the basics, both Alucard and Weiss have a lot in common. Both of them are children of illustrious and well-known families, and both have a strained relationship, if any at all, with their tyrannical and downright evil fathers. So I think the training Weiss receives will be a mixture of fencing and swordplay sprinkled with a little bit of self-reassurance practices to remind her that she is not her father.

Blake Belladonna - Ezio Auditore da Firenze

I feel like thanks to a much more mature Ezio is teaching Blake, he knows how to bring out the best in her, especially since he's already got plenty of experience teaching students just like her before. As a result, I feel like Blake is going to be much more efficient with her stealth, as well as more versatile in her arsenal and tactics.

Yang Xiao Long - Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka

Considering Yang is already the most destructive member of Team RWBY, having the Ork warboss to end all warbosses as her mentor isn't going to do much to pull her back from her collateral damage. She just might start as many fights as she can just so she can get into the thrill of the fight. And if she loses, then that just means she didn't hit hard enough, right?

Jaune Arc - Po

Unless Po has seriously changed in the upcoming fourth movie, Jaune is pretty much going to be just like him. He's kinda put on a couple pounds (not as much as Po, of course), and has found a way to convert what he eats into fuel for his martial arts. He's also not going to be using his sword for a lot in this version, but he still has it.

Nora Valkyrie - Reinhardt Wilhelm

Looking at Reinhardt's previous student, Brigitte, I can imagine Nora shifting from heavy artillery to focus a little more on her defense. The hammer stays, though. And not only does it stay, it gets an upgrade. One that it's sure to knock Grimm socks off! ...if they wore socks.

Pyrrha Nikos - Kratos

Kratos was a leader of many a military company and has spent much time as a father-figure of sorts, both to his own kids as well as Pandora. These all add up to a mentor who teaches Pyrrha how to wield every weapon she can, but masters the most dangerous and most effective one; herself. So we have a Pyrrha is both sure of herself and acting as a jack-of-all-trades.

Lie Ren - Zaraki Kenpachi

Ren may not look like too different from his original iteration, but this boy has scars from how intense his training can get. In fact, his whole combat routine is simply "fight the biggest one". It sometimes scares Nora with how reckless he can get, especially when she's been the one to provide first aid on more than one occasion.

He uses his petal to get you away from the thugs and threatens them with a smile on his face

He tries his hardest to be civil, but he is so close to just punching them

Once you two get home, he helps you with any injuries you have and spoils you extra for the rest of the day

Junkrat

He's not normally a fan of omnics but it's YOU and you're hurt and he's soo mad

No one can hold him back cause he's gonna go and blow up those thugs entire life

(Also probably stomps on their corpse because they don't deserve his respect)

And once he comes back, he helps you repair while bragging about how they're never gonna bother you again

Reinhardt

Ooooooooh booooy those thugs picked the wrong omnic to mess with

Reinhardt will charge in, hammers swinging, and yelling about what disgraced they are

As much as he wants to go after them when they run away and teach them a lesson he knows you need him more

He asks Brigitte to help him with your injuries since she's more likely to know how to repair an omnic

Mei

She's very distressed when she sees you and quickly chases off the thugs with the help of Tracer

She's freaking out over your injuries as she takes you back to her home

She's pretty good at repairing machinery, so she can easily help your injuries

Now she's a little too worried to leave you alone again for a while

Ramattra

Death and misery shall come to those who dared to harm you

He's extra protective of you due to you being an omnic so those thugs are going down

Once he takes them out, he immediately takes you back to the null sector base to repair you

He's still fuming even after he deals with the thugs (but not at you, of course)

It'll take a while to assure him that you're fine, but he'll eventually calm down

ok so im gonna give my reasoning for each of them

Reinhardt - the easierst to pick, the Yellow Lion is the most tank-like (besides the Black Lion, but thats cuz Black is the head + torso), also i think the legs of voltron are supposed to be the "pillars" that allow the team to work well, without them the whole thing crumbles (literally). from what i recall from the actual show, the Yellow Paladin is protective and loyal. Rein was the easiest to match up tbh (plus even the color fits lol)

Torbjörn - not my favourite choice, but tbh i dont think any other lion fits him? besides maybe Yellow, but Rein was too perfect so i couldnt give Torb that one. anyway, the Green Lion is the left hand. i consider the legs to be the "pillars" holding up the team, whereas the arms are the actual damage-dealers/the ones that act on what the leader commands. and as Torb is a dps, that fits just fine. hes not quite a leader, so being the left hand instead of the right is good. plus the Green Lion is inquisitive and curious, and since Torb is a genius, that fits just fine too. i thought he would look weird with green, since i associate him with red-orange-yellow the most, but he looks kinda nice

Ana - i was originally gonna make her blue from the get-go, but i thought it'd be silly to make the remaining three switch lions a bunch, so i can get an excuse to draw Gabe and Jack in multiple suits lmao. but Ana starts out as red, the right hand of Voltron, described as the most temperamental and aggressive. it requires a paladin that can keep up with it and works on instinct most of the time. i feel like Ana would have to BECOME the motherly figure for her team, instead of being one from the start. with that i think she would have been a more "lone wolf" type at first, only later on becoming more mindful of her teammates and how much they need her, which would lead to her becoming the paladin of the Blue Lion - a pillar that keeps the team going along with Rein, a vital part, but no longer in a leadership position. i've seen the Blue Lion described as a "free spirit" too, which i think is also perfect for her :3

Jack - for him i had three options, all of which fit him well: blue, red and black. and instead of picking one, i decided he was going to have three different lions :))) for shits and giggles. so he starts out as blue, a free spirit, very versitile (from what i gathered, the Blue Lion doesn't have a specific "thing" it specilizes in, but instead does a little bit of everything, kinda like Jack). i imagine Jack was the middle-man, an integral part of team-building. he would have been the one to push everyone to work together and follow Gabe's lead, but he was content being on the sidelines most of the time. eventually he takes up more responsibility, sees that he's vital for the team and that he can do more working side by side with Gabe, and so he becomes the paladin of the Red Lion, Gabe's right hand man. then he of course slowly grows to be the actual leader, as Gabe's approach changes and he slowly abandons his original role, passing the command over to Jack. and so Jack's last lion is the Black Lion. also i feel like all three lions fit Jack's color scheme pretty well, so that's another win for me hah

Gabe - since he was the original Strike Commander, i thought it only natural that he would be the first to pilot the Black Lion. the pilot needs to be decisive, stay cool in the face of danger and be someone whose men will follow him into battle with no hesitation - all traits that i see Gabriel would have had to have during the first Omnic Crisis. like i mentioned before, Jack eventually becomes his second in command, and then slowly their roles start to shift. Gabe is no longer content in making decisions for the whole team, he probably also becomes more violent and reckless, relying on Jack to keep him in check. he loses his connection with the Black Lion and becomes the paladin of the Red Lion, Jack's right hand man. the traits of Red fit him well too - aggressive, relies on instinct, temperamental, plus i imagine Gabe is the type to want to get things done as quickly as possible, no matter the risk, to save more people faster. plus, again, the colors match up yaaaay!

Talon had in many ways changed her life, mainly for the worst. Her life seemed perfect before they intervened, while it was far off it still felt right. Her family just had a new edition, that being her son, you.

As you grew they both learned how to raise a child, making mistakes but nothing went wrong. You met the founding overwatch agents whenever he had to bring you along, quickly becoming a major part in their hearts.

While your mother, Amélie brought you up with her own passion. That being dancing, ballet specifically. Letting you attend her shows and even trying to teach you some dances, trying being the key words.

As a child you didn’t have the same… perception of the world. Your father experienced the brunt of it for your family, until the incident. For a few months Amélie had gone missing, leaving you alone in your fathers care.

Instead of him caring the responsibility was left to other overwatch members, he was trying to find her. But in turn accidentally ignoring you, luckily a certain mother helped. As her own Fareeha was grown, it was time to care for another.

That lasted until your mother showed back up, but not for long. As something felt… wrong. But your father didn’t notice, just happy she returned seemingly safe and sound. That was until she turned on him.

By a stroke of luck you didn’t seem to be next, as she was taken away. Leaving you alone in the giant house. Only found the next morning by staff, who alerted the Overwatch agents. Who took you under their wing again.

Due to the situation they were quick to train you in many areas. Medical, soon able to keep yourself alive in a battlefield. (Simulated of course.) And physically, hand to hand and from range, using a sniper.

As Ana taught you she specialized in a sniper rifle. Firstly she protested due to her past and the connections but eventually relented. Realizing it wasn’t a mistake as you took to it immediately.

It’s been years since she’s seen you last, only aware of your growth due to a certain hacker. This helped her realize the lies she’s been fed, she couldn’t care about the ones about Overwatch or Talon.

Only the ones about you. Moira claimed she had contact with you and you’re current carers, recently learning the opposite. The fact you’re with Overwatch, out of everywhere you could’ve been, why there.

Now it’s come back as karma, in the form of a mission.

You weren’t meant to be here. But unluckily the selected few got injured on a previous mission, and some agreed you had enough training. Meaning Ana, Mercy, Torb, you, Reinhardt and Winston were sent.

None of you were meant to engage unless necessary, which happened a lot quicker than you’d think.

Talon had sent Widowmaker on this mission, with other agents to scout around. Except they were given opposite rules, if anyone was seen, engage. Can’t have any witnesses now, could they?

She was searching the streets through her scope. During so she’s been unable to locate anyone as it seems they’ve improved, except one. You.

No one had realized at that moment you’ve stepped away, and into the view of Widowmaker. But instead of shooting you down she paused, something about you seemed so… familiar. As if she’s seen you before. Not one agent dared to question her staring, well, not any agent on the mission.

“So the feared Widowmaker found her pequeña araña huh?” Amélie tried to ignore her but she couldn't, the jab at her family didn’t sit right.

“Concentrez-vous sur votre travail Sombra.” Seeing you interacting happily with the Overwatch members had her at her limits.

She could easily have you back in her arms with Talon, take down the others before swooping in to take you. But no, Moira would only use you against her even more if she had her hands on you. She wasn’t going to let that happen, ending the mission right there to leave.

Maybe one day her little spider would return home.
