China is stunning but having to use a translator for every single little thing is getting to me
#would it kill you to have an english menu AT AN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT#and obvs no one has to adapt everything to tourists in any country#but here it is very much tourism = domestic or package#so even hotel front desk people speak zero languages#and tickets have to be bought online using chinese apps with dubious if any translation#and i'm basically always the only foreign face in the crowd and some people are clearly annoyed to have to waste time on me#idk it's a bit overwhelming is all#it's demanding more from me mentally than basically any other place i have been#absolutely gorgeous but goddamn i wish i had a full energy tank for this ine
