#idk why i worried so much about 'making sylvie too mean' when the fanon sylvie has grown steadily more passive and infantilised#like even if i've wandered into OOC territory with her on occasion it's at least not in the same OOC direction the rest of fandom tends to.#sometime last year (imo) sylki fic started slipping further from the source material in both setting and character terms#and now a good portion of it bears little to no resemblance to the thing i am looking for when i go into the tag.#and now i want to write the meanest of mean sylvies just to fuck with people (and get about 100 hits for tagging it properly)#the Con Artist AU has become a venting space for me but i also kind of don't *want* to finish that and post it#cos regardless of content i'd feel like i was adding to the problem even if i wasn't and even if nobody else even thinks it's a problem#*single emo tear* oh god... the pain of being into a ship but actually wanting them to be remotely in-character in fic...#(this last complaint is eternal alas. no matter what fucking pairing i've latched onto in what fandom.)
