disclaimer: i have not finished uu yet, i haven't watched doomsday or anything after that!! also i will probably mess up timeline stuff. sorry

spoke's soulmate is jamato. they figure this out while they're testing exploits together and one of them is writing notes on their hand or something. and they're like obsessed with each other. the whole time they're doing exploits together they're dating and spending like every second together, and if they're not together (not often), they're writing to each other. it's very codependent. so it's even worse when everything explodes and they break up and jamato leaves. (spoke still writes to jamato. jamato never writes back.)

but i've decided that soulmates can change over time. someone who's right for you at one point in your life might not be the right person later on. (also you can have multiple soulmates but i haven't used that lore yet.)

spoke's soulmate changes to mapicc. at some point before they're running around destroying farms? mapicc notices that someone is suddenly writing to him but the messages are definitely meant for someone else. he figures out it's spoke after a couple weeks. spoke does not realize they're soulmates. (jamato never replied anyway, and mapicc hasn't been writing anything.) until at some point they're sneaking around, mapicc needs to message spoke, and he finds a pen before his comms. so he just writes it on his hand. they have a... difficult conversation after that situation is over. but they're good (:

when mapicc is missing (captured by invis mafia), spoke writes to him constantly. mapicc doesn't have access to a pen to write back (for this exact reason), but it brings him comfort knowing that spoke is looking for him ((:

Yeah, well, they tried to worm their way back via my fucking boyfriend now, so fuck any and all goodwill, I am sick of this shit.

Meet love-is-in-the-multiverse! The person that will not leave no matter how kindly you tell them to stop!

Sadly, I only have screenshots of the last time we talked and my boyfriend's screenshots. So I'll just have to summarize my experiences up till the final confrontation without screenies.

So, Love, formerly known as mollypico, was a FNF/Newgrounds RPer I met when they approached me for a starter. Since then they, they got very smothering, spamming my inbox with OOC convos that honestly overwhelmed me. I tried to give her other options, I really did. But in the end, she didn't take them. I changed the rules a bit to reflect this newfound boundary, and at first she seemed willing to respect it. But then turned around and continued because "She had no other options". So for the sake of my sanity, I blocked her.

Her response was to send a few friends after me asking why. And I tried to explain it to them as kindly as possible.

After that, they tried approaching me with new accounts passing themself off as someone else. The accounts were deleted by the time I looked in my notifs on my phone and saw them in the morning.

Eventually, she came to a new account and via messages apologized. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and accepted because she was finally keeping this stuff in IMs. And sometimes in those convos, she'd bring up fandoms and characters she played that were... suspiciously exactly the same as those other accounts that deleted.

It did not make her any less pushy and smothering, rushing me for starters, getting impatient with me not responding immediately. It all added up.

One day, I decided that people that killed my enjoyment here would get blocked. That included her. She tried to bypass this by making new accounts to talk to me. Twice. Once to act as if she wasn't one of the people I blocked. And the other to explain herself. I blocked those too.

Some time later, I was followed by two new accounts. One called "hate-in-the-multiverse" or something along those lines, and the other called afriendtoall. Who claimed she was an IRL friend of Love, and was the one that actually talked to me. Although Hate did send an ask, but not much else came of it.

Friend was frankly not all that different from her. It did not help matters when I started approaching a very stressful change that is still ongoing. And I started having suspicions.

Spoiler alert, I was right;

I then blocked her and soon after, I saw she deleted the account when I tried to block across all my blogs. I didn't screenshot it, but after this last message, she wished me well and said she'd leave me alone.

Cut to tonight! Picture this! I was in a call with a friend, having fun reading a graphic novel to them, and then I look to see a message from my boyfriend, and he sends these [censoring his name and icon for his safety]

So, after I tell her to leave me alone for good, she instead tries to worm her way into contact with my boyfriend and followed him again. And I am pissed.

He confronted her as soon as he saw.

"Oh mistew, I was just cuwious, uwu"

Yeah, nevermind you followed him. Knowing fully well that we interact a lot on Tumblr.

So yeah, fuck it, you win, you got my attention with your stupid game. Now here's your stupid prize.

RPers beware. Block her. If you RP FNF/NewGrounds, Danganronpa, My Hero Academia, I think Undertale/Deltarune, possibly any other game/anime/whatever, block. Her. Ass. On sight. Don't even give her a chance. Take it from me, she will drain you, and then make you feel horrible for feeling drained by her/not being in the mood to talk.

Just got blocked by someone for “spam liking” their posts.. aka I found their fics through the search, read five in a row while in bed and liked them, and went to sleep. Woke up to go drop an ask about how much I enjoyed their stuff, reblog them from my likes, etc etc and I was blocked.. bro I don’t understand tumblr ~culture~ anymore. I just needed to sleep before putting my thoughts into words 😭 Tanisha I feel old and left behind

tbh this is something that gives me anxiety??

because so often, I will go onto someone's blog and like a bunch of posts specifically with the intention of queueing them or reblogging them later - especially because I have very specific preferences about how my blog is organized. so if someone's blog is 100% plushie themed or 100% DC themed, then I will like a bunch of their posts and intersperse those posts about things with other fandoms, because I much prefer when posts from different fandoms are alternated on my blog instead of there being huge blocks of several posts from the same fandom spammed at once

and yeah, as a fanfic writer, it does annoy me when someone makes it a habit of only liking my posts and never reblogging them. but with the fanfiction environment the way it is right now, if I went onto my fanfic sideblog and blocked every single person who only liked my fics instead of reblogging them, I would be blocking 80% of the people who read my fics. I would probably be blocking more than half my followers

and the whole point of posting fics at all is so that other people can enjoy them. I don't post fics for praise and admiration or because I want to see the posts get a lot of notes - I post the fics because I enjoyed writing them, and because I think they're good, so I want other people to enjoy them. if I wanted to stop people from seeing them (which is the purpose of blocking) then I just wouldn't post them at all. I genuinely do not get the logic of blocking someone who has been shown to enjoy your work

and with your situation - you can never tell if someone is liking a fic with the intention to reblog it later. everyone uses tumblr in their own way. and I am always tempted to block people with completely blank blogs who have proven that they do not use the reblog function at all - but even then, I don't want to block someone who clearly enjoys my fics.

(the only time I block someone for liking my fics is if they are a blatant thinspo blog, but that is a whole different rabbit hole)

yes, the primary function of this site is to reblog things, and it sucks that a lot of people don't use it, but blocking someone because they literally like and enjoy your posts is sooo insane. it feels like the equivalent of someone coming up to you irl, giving you a compliment, and then you being like "get the fuck away from me. how dare you"

and as far as the like vs reblog ratio aspect - (this is for Luna as well as for everyone reading, if you are someone who only likes fics and never reblogs them) I will always be more likely to write more for a fandom where my fics have more comments and more discussion, rather than more total notes (aka more likes).

if I am looking for a fic to make a sequel of, I never look at which fic has more likes - I look at which fic I personally enjoyed writing more or which fic people seemed more excited about in terms of discussion. if anything, a fic having more likes (and less reblogs and comments) deters me from making a sequel to it, because it just means that people are going to not leave comments on the sequel, or a fic having a lot of likes means that a lot of people are going to show up to the sequel feeling entitled for more (when that's not what I want for my fics lmao).

I have always counted fics as successful if they have fewer notes and more actual critical engagement.

but anyway - all that to say - fandom is pretty broken lately. people consume fanfiction far too quickly and mindlessly and then demand more, people harass fanfic authors rather than trying to participate in fandom, and fandoms are too large and over-saturated to be truly enjoyable unless you only engage with 10% of the current participants. which leads to stuff like this ^^ happening (aka people thinking others are being hostile toward them, when they are just well meaning and enjoying the same things as you)

I'm definitely uncomfortable with the incest jokes and want them tagged, and idk if theres more than the vega sandwich stuff, but that is the main example. i am completely serious that incest jokes make me uncomfortable and i want to be able to avoid jokes about it if they exist. it also sets a tone in the fandom that vega sandwich jokes are different than regular incest jokes, but they are just as triggering, so i'd really rather that it was tagged

Completely fair, my friend :) I'm generally not big on incest jokes either tbh; Vega Sandwich kind of just became a thing that turned into an ongoing meme so now the way it's mentioned amuses me as a meme but I don't at all blame anyone who is uncomfortable with it. Makes complete sense and it's a totally fair request to be able to have a tag you can input to avoid. Especially because in the real world there's some really seriously terrible shit that can happen where people are survivors of incest or similar and that can be incredibly triggering. I know people personally who are survivors, yet it didn't even occur to me before you mentioned this because somehow my brain put a space between IRL and story on that topic and didn't manage to connect the dots.

So - this is a great idea and I really appreciate you saying something, but I'm also really sorry it didn't occur to me first and instead you had to get into a position that made you feel uncomfortable and ask :(

I was trying to remember when I last made any jokes about it but since I'm so hit or miss the last several months on tumblr I don't remember at all. But in thinking on it, that also makes me wonder if I could have reposted stuff too that had it and it didn't even occur to me. Sometimes when I use tumblr it's on my phone and for some reason the app won't let me do tags all the time, so I am pretty sure I've done several reposts without any tags at all.

All that is to say - I am going to do my best to remember to use that tag in anything I'm posting or reposting that has an incest joke in it. But if you (or anyone) ever notices I miss something, seriously, I want people to tell me so I can go back and tag it. I will try to not have that be an issue in the first place, but because I tend to go weeks/months without touching tumblr then spam post, and sometimes it just won't let me edit tags, if ever something does slip through it's unintentional and I definitely want to be called out on it so I can fix it for you and anyone else who needs it.

For now, I started by tagging this one with that :) Also I was trying to remember and yeah I think Vega Sandwich is the main incest joke that I can think of in the series so anything incest at all related should fit having this tag - but just in case, even if other incest jokes pop up, I'll still tag it vega sandwich unless we get good ideas from anyone else on what else to do in those rare scenarios (although I would think if nothing else just tagging it incest would also help).

Sorry for the long ass reply as always - but again, seriously, thanks for saying something :) I'm sorry you had to say something, because I hate for people to feel uncomfortable in the first place.
