look at me. if your favorite youtuber is trying to sell you something and they say this shit not only are they lying but they're probably trying to sell you something that will ruin your fucking life.

please tell me y'all are also upset about this like i've seen a few posts about it but it's fucking absurd to me that youtubers can get away with peddling something as serious as therapy from a company that turned out to be stealing data and nothing happened to them. and it's fucking all of the major youtubers regardless of what kind of video they've all taken money from hellofresh and betterhelp and whatever other horseshit is out there.

similar ads have existed for years but like at least from what i remember growing up they were for bullshit that if it didn't work it didn't matter. if you got taken in by the shamwow guy and it turned out the product sucked you'll probably be fine, it's just a shitty towel. who cares. but now it's like GIVE ALL YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIS EMAIL ADDRESS AND WE WILL CURE YOUR MENTAL ILLNESS. and everyone's favorite "influencers" or whatever dipshit name they go by was shoving that down their teenage audience's throat and when it came out that inevitably the whole thing was dogshit nothing happened. no one lost their platforms for it it doesn't even come up and if you try to bring it up you get a shrug and a "everyone did it." we're in hell. we are in hell.

tip to any marketers out there: if you're writing a pitch and include "what's the catch? there is none!" i want you and everyone involved in whatever scam you're peddling to die immediately
