Actually it's insane that it took like 15 years and an entirely new team of people to be like "hmmm what if we... gave people better art for pets 🤔" and people love the nc styles so much, I wish I could go back in time and convince them to just not redraw all of the pets in stupid ass poses, like now that I am working deep in the customisation system I can see firsthand that they didnt even need to do all that.

#like they still would have had to redraw and separate the body parts but they could have left them in the poses they were already in....#and not gave every bipedal pet a stupid fucking hand grasping nothing #i really liked the 'put it down' idea someone had where if they arent hold something they get a normal arm #but I think that it would be too much work to retroactively do that now it would have had to be done from the beginning :/#also im sorry that we have to sell the good art for real money i know a lot of people have gotten over that part but i still kinda feel bad #like trust me when i say that the two people working the hardest on this feature are also passionate longtime players #and we did everything we could to try and make it as fair as possible while appeasing the bosses and working in our existing systems
