Sometimes I’m so dumb 😔

On thanksgiving I moved some appliances around (my stand mixer and my electric tea kettle) to have more room near the stove, and I decided to leave them in the new spot because I really like the set up. Then, yesterday afternoon I went to make a cup of tea, and I unplugged what I thought was the stand mixer, just to not have any unnecessary electricity usage. Seemingly innocuous action, right? Lol.

Now I just went to take a shower, but the water just wouldn’t get hot. It was like five full minutes running on hot and it was still ice cold. I was like wtf!?! Is something broken?!? So I texted John (in the living room) to see if he could figure out why.

Well, apparently what I thought was the stand mixer plug was actually the plug for our tankless water heater😳 Our water takes so long to warm up (just for handwashing etc.) that we didn’t even notice until this morning 😂
