me using this blog as my main is funny to me like. i'm not even really hyperfixated on rhythm heaven rn gfgffgggggfgfd-
#puppy rambles#rhythm hell#the deltarune hyperfixation hit at full force <3#you would never guess how unhinged i am about deltarune from my posts. i just haven't been using tumblr as much idk why really-#like i. literally have a side blog dedicated to deltarune (and undertale too ofc). no reason to not post there-#last i played it was on switch n i somehow beat spamton neo my first try#on both my files on my computer i couldn't beat him even after like fifty attempts-#i also still can't beat jevil. i don't know how i managed spamton neo my first try but can't beat jevil he should be easier#i mean sure you have less health in chapter 1 but. he should be easier so that shouldn't be a problem#literally the only time i died in chapter 2 that playthrough (excluding when i did snowgrave. still have not beaten snowgrave)#was to the FUCKING TEACUPS BEFORE THE SPAMTON NEO FIGHT#idk how i suck ass at the battle system#‚‚‚ actually i think i died once in the giga queen fight i just forgot cuz it's not the normal game over screen-#this is also ignoring the funni dog committing vehicular enbyslaughter that does not count it uses the undertale game over screen#you don't even actually die. like i don't think kris' hp actually goes down technically-#getting the egg took me ridiculously long. partially just cuz i got to the egg room and then immediately left on accident-#still better than my first playthrough where i just. didn't bother with the eggs. actually i think i got the egg in chapter 2#and just not the one in chapter 1. tbf the one in chapter 1 is harder to get i don't even remember which rooms you have to go between#and the game doesn't hint it at all idk how people found out about that-#i don't know how people found out about a lot of stuff tbh like. snowgrave was discovered day of release#i have no idea how there's not that many hints towards its existence#people just really wanted to manipulate the lesbian deer into murdering her best friend /j. god snowgrave is fucked#i've seen people act like noelle killing berdly is justified cuz he's annoying. and it's just like. he's a teenager???#heck he's a teenager with self-esteem issues he needs therapy not to be frozen to death-#sorry i like berdly <3 he's funny and also genuinely a good character. and also i ship kerdly-

I really hope Deltarune gets an Ozma boss just because it'd be deeply funny for a game like Deltarune
#Deltarune#like forget any of the other theories I just want like either the penultimate boss or the final superboss to be like FFIX Ozma#Gist of FFIX Ozma is that it's a super obscure secret superboss that is just... INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS DEATH ORB#No lore no hints no clues saying you can even find this thing#you just stumble upon the world's worst boss that is constantly attacking you#and no jevil and spamton don't count for this the game does not go out of it's way to hide them from you like how Ozma's hidden#Spamton and Jevil are like secret hidden bosses and are functionally superbosses for each chapter but it's not the same#given the sort of thing i'm talkin about would be like a superboss for the whole game entirely#and also i'd love to see how toby would tackle a boss like that in the deltarune engine

Went back to the old bingo card because the options were better for this one with expressing my Jevil opinions.
"Done dirty by the fans" because: Twink Jevil art exists. WHY does Twink Jevil art exist. I will fucking destroy you why did you do this to him. Like sure I only really saw it in the VERY early fandom days but WHY. If you drew him as a tall skinny anime boy I will fucking-
"Done dirty by the creators" because: WHERE THE FUCK IS THE PLUSH, FANGAMER ok but also he just isn't given as much attention as I think he should? This kinda applies to a couple of the other checkboxes too so I'll go into this more in a sec.
"Wasted potential" because: He seemed like a really interesting character, but it wasn't explored nearly as much as it should've. I thought we'd get some more lore about him and his history later on, but... We really didn't get much in Chapter 2. Meanwhile Spamton's lore was pretty well fleshed-out, and that was the introductory chapter of the silly salesman. I mean, I guess Spamton hating Jevil counts as "some more lore" for Jevil, but it's not really a lot. I wanna know what Jevil did to get locked up (I assume it was violent, but who did he attack? Were there casualties?), I wanna know how long his sentence was, and how long he had served so far. I want to know how his personality was before he met the "strange man". But right now it's all just left up to the imagination, I guess...
"Popular ships suck" because: I do not like Jevil x Spamton. Sorry. I just don't vibe with shipping a character with someone he canonically hates? Spamton hates Jevil, that's that. And no, the Q&A did not make them "canonically divorced", Spamton was cheating in games, not a relationship. Now, I was ok with Jevil x Seam which was popular in the Chapter 1 days, but it seems to be less popular now in favor of shipping with Spamton. :/
"What's wrong with them (affectionate)" is self-explanatory, I think.
"Not enough screen time" is also pretty self-explanatory. Again, in comparison to Spamton, Jevil hardly shows up at all. He was hidden, his boss encounter is all you see of him. Meanwhile Spamton has his "regular" encounter that you experience in EVERY playthrough, not going out of your way for it. Then there's his shop and THEN the secret boss version. And also the Snowgrave version of that. Spamton gets a LOT of time to shine, but Jevil really didn't get anything like that. He's a good secret, but having him be so hidden came with a price, I guess.
"I would NEVER want to meet them" because: He's dangerous lol. I don't want to die.
