"Nobody wants to work anymore."
People are sending an average of over 100 job applications per day. They are often forced to send these many because companies are so disrespectful of the candidate's time and resources and will often not even bother to reply. Some people only get an answer 2 months after, and I've heard of cases where they only get an answer 5 months after. Lots of these answers end up being negative. Some interview rounds stretch over months or even a year, and if the company gets word that you are applying to other companies, you get dropped. Sometimes, after being rejected, they get contacted by the company as if they are a completely different person that never applied after the company finds them on LinkedIn. They are being asked for 3 to 10 years of experience for entry-level jobs that pay minimum wage (entry-level means no experience required). They are being told that they are hired and to show up on Monday to then arrive there on Monday and be told that they weren't hired and were actually proposed for an apprenticeship and needed to show up that Monday to take a timed test which will determine if they get the apprenticeship or not. They are being turned down from jobs because they failed an abstract AI made personality test that if the people that work at that company now took would also fail. When they ask for fair wages, they get fired and replaced by refugee workers who have no choice but to subject themselves to the atrocious proposals these companies make to them because they either do that or live on the street and starve instead of being cramped into a home with 19 other people. They are being discriminated against and refused even an interview for being LGBTQ+ or neurodivergent (here if you need to take medication during work most people will go to the bathroom so that no-one sees them and need to devise a plan to go at times where they can make it look like a habit instead of a timed occurrence). They are being asked uncomfortable personal questions that are illegal about their personal life because they are women, and no one enforces the law on these questions being illegal. They are struggling with getting any job at all because they were unable to finish their education due to circumstances beyond their control.
You don't get to tell people that they are lazy or don't want to work when you never had these struggles when you worked. You don't get to blame people for how atrocious and predatory companies are these days. You don't get to look at the job market today through the rosy tinted glasses that you saw it back when you could walk into an establishment with a 4th grade education and simply ask if they are hiring. If you dislike the generational divide, then stop acring like you are better than the generations that came after yours.
You definitely do not get to blame refugees for taking the atrociously predatory job offers that companies are making because they know they can get away with them. If your country was suddenly on the side of a losing war, would you stay there and die? Force your parents to stay there and die? Force your children to stay there and die? Stop calling them immigrants. If you choose to leave your own country to work in a country with better pay and benefits, you're an immigrant. If you feel forced to leave your country because staying could cost you your life and the life of your loved ones, you're a refugee. If you're still trying to push the "these immigrants are taking our damn jobs" rethoric that US racist republicans tried to push back in the early 2000s about Central and Southern Americans, you're an idiot. That doesn't make the idiots trying to push the new rethoric of "these immigrants are responsible for all the bad things happening to us" any less idiotic, it just makes you the outdated version of these idiots.
If you think that this is a problem exclusive to the West, look up bǎi ln (摆烂) a phenomenon currently occurring in Mainland China. Tǎng píng (躺平) has evolved into bǎi làn. People went from being so disillusioned that they stopped trying to not even trying at all because they feel like there's no point. If it keeps going like this, it will affect the global economy since the only reason the West can afford cheap manual labour is the atrocious treatment of its own citizens by China. Companies will just find someone else to explore, like they are already doing with refugees. Like they are already trying with all of us.
Stop blaming everyone except the ones who are truly responsible for the state of the world.
#vent post#One of these days the boomers are going to end up radicalising me#it's mostly them but the xennials and other millennials are starting to irritate me too#especially the other millennials it's like they forgot how we used to be treated!#if you forgot good for you but I got beaten up and called a “parasite” by my foster parents for wanting to follow arts in high school#and no I didn't get to follow arts since minors don't get to pick what school they want to go to or what they want to study in HS#you need parents to authorise all of that#so my parents basically picked whatever my friends went into just to keep me there#they picked humanities because my friend picked humanities because she wanted to be a teacher#it's been over a decade and she has yet to be assigned to a school she works as a tutor#so even if I followed what she did I wouldn't be any better off when it comes to employment#so yeah I'm never siding with the generations that made my life hell because they thought the area I loved was for bums#but now get all their information from shitty influencers and look at them in a better light than someone that restores art pieces

Pleasurable Practice
Here's what I got: when you're left in headquarters to study for an upcoming language skit, your boss and work crush, Miguel O'Hara, does what he can to help his subordinate. And he does, in more ways than one...
A/n: It's been a week since I saw the film in theaters, and my brain hasn't been the same. I tried very hard not to write for this man, but here we are. Sighhhh, I swear I wasn't this bad when playing EoT (curse you Oscar Issac, and the ATSV art department!!!). And it doesn't help that my social feeds are full of him...Anyway, I hope you enjoy this piece! It's WAY longer than I wanted, but I guess that's meant to show how much fun I had writing, hehehe~. Also, ty so so much for 600+ followers!!
Cw: Miguel x fem!reader - some ATSV spoilers so tread carefully - sexual context so minors DNI - fingering (fem! receiving) - cunnilingus - clitoral play (Miguel's fangs lightly brush your clit, but doesn't bite it) - praise - kisses on the stomach - pet names (amorcito/little love, mi alma/my soul; amor/my love; vida/my life) - sexual acts in public - outside intrusions, but you two don't get caught.
Wc: 2.8k

"Hey, Lyla. You sure you wanna leave me here?"
"Aww, you scared something would happen without me?" She chuckles when you shrug. "You'll be fine; everything's been taken care of for today. If something pops outta nowhere, you know where to find Miguel or give me a call. Alright, I'm outta here. Cya tomorrow~."
"Bye, Lyla~" With that, the pixelated woman signs off from your line of sight, and you slump into your chair with a sigh.
It's late at night in Nueva York. The Spider Society headquarters is still active, but fewer people occupy the halls and sectors in these late hours, you being one of them. You're sitting at a conference table by the teleportation room, taking in Margo's shift. But since things are quiet around here, you use this time to work on your homework.
Well, you would've if a pair of hands didn't suddenly come from behind and blocked your vision. "Guess who?"
You shake your head with a smile. "Aren't you supposed to be at Earth-50101 hanging with Gwen and Pav?"
The hands are removed, giving your shoulders a quick rub. "Can't say a quick bye before I'm off?" Hobie Brown walks from behind to sit on the table, avoiding the scattered papers on the surface. "What's all this? School?"
"Yeah," You pick up a paper with color-coordinated dialogues. " I got a reflection to finish and need to read this script for a skit in my modern language class on Wednesday."
"What language?"
"Spanish." You flip the script for him to look at. A giggle slips from you. "Suppose you can't help me, huh?"
Hobie grins. "Yo lo haría si pudiera." Your eyes go big. Of course, the guy who "doesn't believe in consistency" would know a thing or two about other languages.
".....Please stay and help me."
"Can't, perhaps next time." Another heavy sigh as the tall other gets up from the table and opens a portal to Pavitr's universe. "We'll save some snacks to bring back tomorrow. See ya then."
"Bye, Hobie." You groan with your head meeting the table surface as the portal vanishes with Hobie's dismissal. In despair, you lift your head up and proceed with your work.
It's about 11 p.m., and you were able to finish your paper in about two hours. It's now time to work on your Spanish script. Unfortunately, your class partner can't be here (obviously) to say his lines with you, but you two promised to highlight your lines and recite on your own downtime. So you follow through with the blue lines — your lines — avoiding the red lines and announcing all the words to the best you can.
After the third time around, you start to get to the rhythm of it. So in tune with what you're doing, you don't mind your surroundings as you circle around the table with your face glued to your script.
"What're you doing?"
However, it all comes to a halt when a voice startles you. So used to the silence and your own tone that you didn't notice a familiar man creep from behind you. Your eyes widen at the tall and well-built figure before you.
Miguel O'Hara, Spider-Man 2099 and the leader of the Spider Society — your boss who you have a major crush on and is still waiting for you to reply after nearly scaring you to death.
"O-Oh, Miguel, umm," you quickly straighten yourself up, but the heat in your face encroaches. "Sorry, didn't see ya there. I was just looking at this script."
"A script?" He slightly tilts his head, surveying your moves as you sit back at the table. He follows and peers behind your shoulder to see what you're working on. "For what?"
"It's for a skit in my Spanish class. I'm reciting my lines for Wednesday." He nods at your answer, glancing around to see you're alone. "Lyla signed off for a while, but she told me to tell you that if you 'need anyone to put a leash on you,' Jessica would answer the call."
The man narrowed his eyes and sucked his teeth, "of course she said that..." was all he murmured under his breath from his pixelated peer's words. With a heavy sigh, he turns back to the paper in your hand and extends out his. His silent request is answered when you pass him the sheet to skim. A brow is lifted. "Is the skit like some kind of married couple or—"
You confirm. "Yes. Our unit is on relationships, and my partner and I wanted to do a skit where the husband — my partner — comes home and surprises his wife with their favorite flower and then gives a nice speech on how much he loves her." Miguel still reads the script, but you continue on. "Luckily, our instructor said it's not our final where it's required to talk entirely in Spanish. So, we can say some English phrases or words if our brains go blank."
Miguel finally stops examining the script and eyes at you. "I can help."
Huh? "Excuse me?"
"You're the blue lines, right?" Correct. "Then I can be the red lines and help you practice."
Wait, no! "Oh no, there's no need for that, Miguel! I'm sure you're busy looking at the screens on your station and—"
"No pasa nada, Y/n," You gulp when he grabs a chair and sits close to you. "I'll say your partner's parts, and you reply with yours." There's no use in arguing with him out of this, so you just follow suit.
For the past thirty minutes, you and Miguel have been practicing. Sometimes he'll call you out on words you forget or mispronounce, which hurts your little heart being scolded like a child. But then there are times when he praises you for saying something correctly without second-guessing, or he'll ask for a pen to scratch off something and write a better phrase for you to say. And you can tell that your memorization's been improving thanks to his help. Maybe there was no need to be nervous.
The time is now 11:46, and you feel way more confident about this skit than before. Miguel can also tell by how much you've performed that you'll do fine on Wednesday. Guess that should do it. He puts the script down and gets up, heading back to his original post.
"Hey, wanna do the actual skit with me?"
Huh? "What?"
"Well, I was thinking," You squeak. "Maybe we can try acting out the skit without the paper now that I'm kinda getting the hang of it? But, I mean, that's only if you're okay with it, ya know..."
His brows trench down. Miguel knows he shouldn't do it; there are many universes in his post that he needs to keep an eye on in case anything pops off. He can't afford to just act out a scenario for some class. However, when he glances back at you, he faces mixed feelings. Your eyes look at his, nibbling on your bottom lip, and your fingers fidget with each other as you wait for his answer.
Miguel knows he shouldn't...but it won't hurt to comply this one time.
"Fine," your heart skips when he turns back to face you fully. "But don't mention it to Lyla or Jess. I'll never hear the end of it from those two."
"Of course!" You reassure him as you ready yourself, mentally calming the happiness brewing inside down. "You go."
He nods and plays the scene. He acts like he opens a door and holds an imaginary object. "Estoy en casa, cariño."
"Oh, bienvenido a casa, bebé!" You rush to Miguel and give him a hug. You feel him go rigid, and you freeze. Wait, he's still my boss and not my actual partner! Oh, God, I bet he regrets doing this now...Ughhh!! Commit now, cry later!
You quickly improvise and pull him by his spider suit to come close, placing pretend kisses on his cheeks. "Llegas pronto a casa, mi guapo muñeco. Is something wrong?"
Miguel stares at you for a few seconds before he blinks and coughs. "Ahem, Querida, vine temprano porque es tu cumpleaños. Y quería darte esto." The hand with the invisible object comes up, and you take it.
"Dios mío, ¿mi flor favorita en mi día especial?" You give the man a warm smile and place a hand on his cheek, stroking his skin lovingly. Miguel hitches his breath. "Eres demasiado buena conmigo, muñeco. Pero no tenías que regalarme nada."
It takes Miguel a moment, but he coughs once more and returns to the task. "Puede que la flor no fuera necesaria, pero tenía que conseguirla para ti, mi amor." He puts a hand on yours that's still on his cheek, now it's your turn to slow your breathing. "Cada vez que veo esta flor, sólo puedo pensar en ti. No sólo hoy, sino todos los días. Veo todo lo que haces por mí y nunca lo doy por sentado. You are my everything, Y/n. Tú eres mi mundo. Mi luz. Mi corazón. Mi… Mi…"
He stops, noticing your expression and shallow breaths. Your eyes never leave his, mouth agape, and your attention entirely on his words— no, on him. Even in this little act, you dare not move or say something out of turn. Listening to the man before you intently, your hand still in his.
He knows he shouldn't, but Miguel leans into you, and a small gasp leaves you before his lips press onto your soft ones. "....Mi alma."
Your brain short-circuits, the feel of his lips overtaking you. You awkwardly kiss him back, resulting in a moan from Miguel. He grabs your waist while pushing himself forward, making you walk backwards until you hit the table. The bump has you two break the kiss, forcing you back to reality.
Miguel says nothing, and so do you, your eyes honing in on his deep red orbs. Your thoughts go too fast that your head pounds. What? What was that? Did he mean to do that??
"Túmbate."
He captures your attention. "What?"
"Lie down, mi amor." He commands in a stern voice. Hesitance restrains you, yet you still follow orders and sit on the table with your back to the surface. A small smile creeps up on Miguel, and he leans down to plant more kisses on your sweet lips. "Good. Now, say your part."
Slow smooches from your chin to your neck leave you breathless. Although the heat in your face is unbearable, you play along and stick to the script. "My wonderful husband...Y...You are so thought—"
"Se supone que está en español, Y/n." He corrects you. Lifting your shirt to reveal your abdomen. Miguel kisses your exposed tummy while his hand snakes past your bottoms, pressing a finger down on the wet spot of your clothed vulva. Your toes curl as your first moan leaves puffy lips. "Try again."
You intake a deep breath. "Ere...Eres muy considerado con—Mmmm....conmigo." Your bottoms and undergarments are now off, your bare cunt out for Miguel to see. The older man props your legs upward with both hands as he brings his face close to your pussy. He lightly blows on it, and you bite your lip from the cold air. "Keep going, mi vida."
"Cuando....no haya luz en mi—Oooh!!" Miguel flicks your clitoris with his tongue before nestling it between your soaked folds, sucking and laving your essence. "Nnnmp! Mi-Miguel, I can't do thisss...Your tongue, it feels so, so—Oh Christ..."
His ruby eyes peek at your face. "But you were doing just fine, Y/n." The way he says your name feels so sinful, so forbidden. But so pleasing to the ears. "Repeat it."
His tongue goes back to torment your slit. The risque noises the wet muscle makes with your slick-covered chasm ring your eardrums. Ecstatic whimpers fill the space around you, and you grab tufts of Miguel's brown hair when his tongue flicks your clit again. He's impatient, so you concede.
"Cuando no haya luz en mi vida....Haaaahhh, sé que estarás ahí para protegerme." Miguel pushes your tender bud against his teeth. His canine brushing on your pearl, causing you to jerk. "Eres mi sombra...Mi—Ahhhh!....escudo....Mi rey."
He chortles, "Good job, mi alma."
Satisfied with your cooperation, the man sucks on your precious sex as his forefinger nestles between your folds, your slick providing lubricant to naturally push his digit through your entrance. You jolt with a sharp cry, tears falling from your beautiful face.
His tongue and fingers go faster, and your release climbs higher with every lick. The stimulation of your poor cunt and clitoris is hardcore that you come in a few seconds, the walls of your chasm fluttering around Miguel's fingers coated with your personal fluids.
Your heavy pants slow down to steady your body that subsides from the aftershocks of your orgasm. Miguel withdraws his mouth and fingers from you, standing upright to take in your figure.
He scoffs with a tiny grin, licking his lips. "Amorcito."
You open your mouth to say something, but a flash of colors and shapes captures the attention of both of you. Your eyes go wide. Oh no, someone's coming!
With haste, you immediately grab for your bottoms and underwear before taking cover under the conference table, using it to quickly put your clothes back on before someone enters through the portal. That someone was Jessica Drew, making her arrival known by revving her motorbike.
"Jess," Miguel puts on his usually serious face. But on the inside, he's almost as nervous as you. Because he swiftly pulls a chair out to cover his erection lower regions.
"Hey, Miguel! I thought I'd find you here." The woman addresses him when she's done a lap around the table. Her portal vanishes from the scene. "I've been trying to call you through your watch. You not wearing it?"
He looks down at his wrist where it was supposed to be. "...I was using the restroom, so I left it on my station."
"Mmm, I figured." Jessica then notices the paper and backpack on the table. "This is Y/n's stuff, right? Where are they?"
"R-Right here, Jess!" To her surprise, you come out from the table with your bottoms fully secured. "Sorry, I was looking for my pen before packing up." You smile to ease the awkward tension and your racing heart.
"Oh, okay then." Jessica nods to your words and turns to Miguel. "Anyway, I was calling you up because I need backup. The guy I was dealing with somehow switched places with another villain. Took care of the other one, but my guy's elsewhere."
He hums. "Lyla."
"That's me." The yellow-pixelated woman with pink heart-shaped glasses appears once more.
"Where are the coordinates of the anomaly Jess was handling?"
"I'm sorry, you want me to do what?"
"...."
"What's the magic word?" The tiny woman teases him while you and Jessica hold in your laughs.
Miguel's brows furrow with a slight pout. "....Canyoupleasesend—"
"Woah, woah, woah," Lyla gets closer to his face with each word, raising his irritation as she does so. "Little too fast there."
"Can you please give us the co—"
"Already gave it to Jess."
"Then what was the point—"
"You know how much I love to pester ya," her smile doesn't help squander his frustration, not when he also hears the exchanged giggles between you and Jessica. "And call that payback for not having your watch on you."
To avoid their eyes seeing Miguel's situation, he leaves and fetches his watch quickly after being repeatedly teased by the two women. He returns ready with his mask on and the device on his wrist. Lyla and Jess are waiting for him, same with you and all your stuff packed up. It's 12 in the morning now, you have to get home. "Ready?"
"Yup, see ya there." The woman on her bike starts it up. Lyla disappears when the dimension is opened. "Bye, Y/n!"
"Bye, Jess!" You wave goodbye to the woman, who does one final lap before entering the portal to her new destination. And now you're back to being alone with Miguel, who you find looking at you. You gulp and say your thoughts. "Don't worry, I didn't tell them! And, sorry that it happened. I was being a little too close to you in the first—"
"Hey." Miguel lifts a hand to stop you from rambling on further, and you listen. "Your skit. When is it again?"
It takes you aback that he asks, but you still reply. "Wednesday?"
"Hm. Alright then." And with that, he walks to the portal to his next mission. But before he exits, he peers from his shoulder and proclaims something.
"Tell me how you did on Wednesday, then we'll continue with this talk."

Fandom: Persona 5
_______
If there is one thing to describe Yusuke, it would be: not understanding stuff.
Like, really. He never understood that he can't follow people around to ask them to be a model, and a nude model for that matter. He also doesn't understand that his fellow Phantom Thief ally and girlfriend wants to have sex with him unless it is being said.
What was she supposed to do more? It was obvious, but also this is something Yusuke doesn't understand.
One time, she literally send him a text with: I want you. But the only thing he replied with was:
Yusuke: Want me to do what? You want to go to mementos? I can ask our leader if we can go today.
So yeah, that already didn't work. So, what did [Name] think next? She once stood naked in front of him while sitting on the bed.
"Oh, I didn't know you wanted me to paint you nude! I didn't know how to ask you as the last time I did that, it didn't go well", was what Yusuke had said.
Time for attempt number 3! She asked him what he thought about having sex with her. You would think he would finally get it right?
Wrong.
"I don't have any experience in the matter. I don't have an opinion on it. I have been locked away from the world most of the time, remember? Neither did I have any desire to do so. Why did you ask?"
Oh, so THAT is why he never picked up the hints. It makes [Name] even wonder if he ever got educated on the matter. He most likely did, but didn't think much of it. It's like he said, he barely talked to people thanks to Madarame, the bastard who only used him for his art.
"Because I really want to take our relationship to the next level", his girlfriend said. And once again, he still didn't understand where she was going.
"You mean like, moving in together? I must give you my apologies, but I think we are a little bit too young for that? I don't even think we legally-"
He didn't even got to finish his sentence before he was being kissed on the lips. He kissed her back of course, even if he was startled. They sometimes kiss like normal couples do, but never ever kissed with the tongue.
Well, he didn't. [Name] went for the first move as clearly wouldn't get what she would want.
That doesn't mean he didn't enjoy it, but he sure didn't really know what to do after.
"No, my lovely fool. I want to have sex with you, if that is okay with you. I have been dropping hints, but you didn't really understand them", she said while smiling softly at him.
He was confused a bit, still coming down from the surprise of tongue kissing. 5 seconds later is when he finally understood. He even grew red in the face a bit.
"O-Oh…I am sorry that I never noticed! How can I be a good partner for you if I do not know what my muse wants-"
"No, no, no. Don't be like that. You can't blame yourself for something you didn't know", she said while cupping his cheek in her hand. He is such a fool sometimes, but that is one of the things she likes about him.
He then proceeded to hold her own hand, being happy that she didn't mind such a mistake. Mistakes are made, it is fine.
"Then allow me to make it up to you by making love to you", he said, with full confidence. Well, still in that smooth voice of his but there was a confidence in that. Now it was [Name]'s turn to be caught of guard.
"Are you sure? I don't want you to feel pressured by it purely because I asked you to and you didn't know… Are you sure you want this?", She said, looking him in the eyes.
Yusuke nodded, a hint of pink on his cheeks. It is adorable, really.
"But I'd like to request you helping me out, as I told you earlier, I have no idea of what to do and make it feel good for you", he said.
"Of course, I would love too"
_______
As of right now, they are in the bed, naked. All the necessary equipment is with them. They also have removed all their clothes, except for their underwear that is.
"Let's take it slow okay?", she said, to which he agreed too.
They started to kiss with the tongue for a while, until she went to kiss his neck. Yusuke was moaning softly, figuring out that he should do the same thing with her.
They both enjoyed it for sure, and did so for three minutes.
"Do I have permission to go lower?" , [Name] was clearly caught more off guard when Yusuke was the one that suggested it. She didn't think he would be so straightforward as this would be his first time.
That didn't stop her from answering though. "Yes, you have permission to go lower", she said while looking lovingly at him.
Once he was sure, she went to kiss her breasts, admiring everything about her. He never got to see it up close, only seeing it when she volunteered to do nude paintings.
She held his hair, encouraging him to go further. She had no desire in stopping him, and it would appear that he doesn't have the desire to stop either.
She could feel herself getting more wet every time he asked her for permission to go further and to touch and kiss her there. It made her even think if he really was a virgin.
The truth is, in the time they were preparing everything to do this, he was researching on how to make it feel good for the both of them. And he is happy that he did, now knowing what to expect of it.
"Would it be okay if I would pleasure your clitoris?", He asked her. In that deep voice of his, what can a girl do then only blush? She once again gave her consent to it, and he took her panties off, exposing her vagina.
He added some pressure on it, making her eyes flicker. He took that as a sign to go further, rubbing it gently.
He could feel himself getting hard when she did, and he had the urge to touch himself down there as well.
"Let me, let me return the favor", [Name] said as she pointed at his erection.
"If you want to", was the only thing he said before she took off his boxers and gently started to rub him, being careful. This was his first time after all.
Immediately, he moaned a little. He was aware that this would feel good, but not THIS good. If anything, he already felt like he was losing himself.
The room was filled with soft moans from the two, feeling pleasure from one another. And this went on for a few minutes at best.
"Should I finger you? It's part of intercourse, right?", Yusuke said. He clearly got needy and wanted to go to the next phase already. And who was she to deny it?
She nodded and took her panties off, which were completely drenched already. Yusuke knew this was natural and that it would be easier to access her.
She laid down and stopped rubbing him while spreading her legs, giving him easy access. She nodded, giving permission again.
Slowly but carefully, he put a finger in her. After he had to search for the right hole that is. It was a little funny.
Immediately she moaned and arched her back while gripping the sheets. It would look like she is enjoying herself a lot. He understood that and slowly thrusted his finger in and out of her.
If anything, he gets more turned on by the looks of it. He really should have noticed the signs sooner, he wanted to make her happy after all.
Seeing how good it felt for her, he decided to enter another finger, scissoring them to get her more stretched out. And at her reaction, it looks like she enjoys that a lot.
He kept pumping them in and out, while also paying attention to her clit. He could feel her tighten up a little, what he thinks means she is going to reach her climax soon.
"Wait, stop", she said, making him stop immediately and looking at her.
"Did I do something wrong? I'm so sorry if-"
She just reached up and kissed him while shaking her head.
"You didn't do anything wrong, trust me. I just wanna finish with you", she said while catching her breath.
He tried his best to understand it, and luckily he did.
"Bare with me, I don't have experience in this…", he said as she placed himself between her legs and grabbed a condom together with some lube.
She helped him with everything, as she is more experienced in the matter. She made that very obvious.
After putting the condom on and lubricating both of them, she guided him in her vagina.
He gripped the sheets himself, not used to this at all. "So t-tight..!", He hissed out. Yet he didn't complain about it. How pleasurable that it felt! Now he really wishes he saw her hints sooner.
[Name] herself was arching her back, feeling him pushing into her until he was all the way in. And they stayed like this for a while, having to get used to each other.
If anything, it looked like Yusuke was holding himself back not to thrust. It was obvious that he waited for her sign to move.
"It's okay, you can move now", she whispered, and moaned when he started to move a little. Most likely experimenting with what they both like.
"My muse..I wanna go faster…Please, can I?", He said, trying to hold himself back. If he knew that sex would be this good, he would have wondered about it much earlier.
"Go as fast as she can, I want to feel all of you!", She moaned, completely loving this feeling. She has been craving for this for so long, and now she finally has it.
He didn't had to be told twice as she practically pounded in her, totally forgetting how to make it feel good for her too and is just letting himself go. But she didn't complain, this is what she wanted after all.
"It feels so good..I'm so sorry that I didn't understand it, I wish we could have done this sooner!", he groaned out, losing himself in the pleasure.
If she wanted to say something, she wouldn't have been able to with the amount of pleasure she is getting. For someone who was a virgin 2 minutes ago, he is a natural at this. Hitting her in just the right places.
He knew it too that he was doing things right, especially as he could feel her tighten up. He knew that this meant she was close to her orgasm again.
He was close too, but he wanted to make her feel even more good. He rubbed her clit once more and and it did enough for her to cum on his dick. At the same time, he climaxed in the condom while breathing heavily, trying to catch his breath.
"I'm gonna pull out now..", he said as he then undid the condom and threw it in the garbage.
"I love you, don't forget that", she said as she grabbed his hand and pulled him in the bed, wanting to be close to him.
He chuckled and stroke her hair.
"I love you too"

I just rediscovered this blog, which has been completely inactive since 2017. If you're still following me, I'm so incredibly grateful that you've stuck with it through the long silence. Truthfully, I'd forgotten about my dear Sandi in the rush of life, you know how these things go. But I have so many fond memories from running this blog, at the peak of the daily pokemon hype! I truly hope all the folks from back in the day are doing well.
After losing both the email and password to for this blog, I managed to crack the code to get back in. I don't really know what I'm going to do with it now, but rest assured, I won't be deleting anything.
The last post on this blog was about getting to know me, so I figure it's about time for a life update. Pardon me for getting sentimental for a moment.
Since this blog went on hiatus, I have entered and graduated from my university with a Bachelor's in Marine Biology, with honors, and a minor in Chemistry. I traveled abroad and swam through coral reefs, rescued stranded sea life, and cleaned up beaches. Out of everything, I'm proudest of the time I spent building oyster reefs and restoring our shoreline habitats. I've met so many amazing people, and we've made a real difference in this world. Through working with oysters, I discovered a deep love of the little things, the tiny humble creatures living in crevices, within mud, and on rocks of the seafloor. There are miniature worlds of infinite wonder there, if you take the time to look.
I met the love of my life, nearly got engaged after five truly divine years, and was promptly dumped before I could propose. I still have the ring. At the same time, I moved across the country to an unfamiliar city, where I thought I would be with my love, but instead was completely on my own. Things have been hard. Things have been very, very hard. There are good days and bad days, but I am picking myself up, pulling myself out of the dark. I am building myself a home here, and it is so worth living in. There is so much beauty in this world. There is so much love in the hearts of the people around us.
Art has settled into a pleasant supporter in the background of my life. I don't draw nearly as much as I used to, and my sense of creativity has changed a lot over the years. But I always know that the art will be there for me whenever I decide to pick up pencil and paper again. This blog from years ago taught me the joy of silly little doodles, and I'm so so so grateful for that!
I go by Frankie, these days. They/them or xe/xem pronouns. Currently, I'm in graduate school, preparing to get my PhD in Marine Science. I study little marine worms - how they move, how they affect their environment, and how important they are to the whole ocean. Ask me about my polychaete pictures, I think they're really cute! Honestly, I wish I could go back and tell my 2017-self just how much we've accomplished. Back then, I never thought I'd make it this far. I could never have imagined the breadth of experiences life had waiting for me.
There's still so much more out there to experience. If you followed me in 2017 and you're reading this now - I hope life has treated you well. I hope you've had so many good days since the last time you saw my dear Sandi. And I hope you have so many more good days for years to come!
Some of you may notice that when I went on hiatus, I left some loose ends unresolved. Unanswered messages and asks, comic ideas, that kind of thing. I promise that I didn't do it on purpose at the time! I was a lot younger, didn't understand exactly how to handle my blog getting this big. But I hope you will respect my decision to leave these things alone and not reopen a bunch of threads from seven years ago. Thank you <3

WARNING: groomer in the SFW vore community (serious)
Content/Trigger warning: discussions of grooming, mention of incest, and sexual and fatal vore
I am posting to tags to try to keep people safe!
This specifically occured in the Owl House corner of this community, but everyone should be warned
I will put the rest of the post below keep reading, but for now the person I'm accussing is known as "les-the-mess" on here and "LesTheMessy" on DeviantArt (I do not remember the discord name) and she is 23/24 years of age
And lastly that a real minor has been contacted by said person and made very uncomfortable (url will not be stated for their safety)
Remember to check everything I say for yourself, if you don't believe me; I would not accuse this person publicly if I didn't consider them a real threat All except the minor's statement are available online
I am feeling sick to my stomach that this happened and I don't know how to handle this. I'm going to tell this a bit more like a story so I can get it out easier
I was on DA (DeviantArt) when I saw something odd pop up; a vore edit of Catra and Adora with Luz and Amity as prey. I looked at it, because I am always up to find more sfw safe vore creators, but it was neither safe or non-sexual
There were clearly comments engaging with the art in a sexual way and the creator didn't discourage or delete said comments and the description itself mentioned how the vore was going to end with both prey characters dying.
This person had an identical avatar and near identical username to their URL here on tumblr and I was horrified as I knew that this person had interacted with a minor despite having "minors DNI" and that already gave me a slight prickling suspicion something was wrong (later learned she has even DMed them on discord...)
They had both minors and NSFW in her DNI so I didn't have anything to go after, as they didn't have any post with suspicious stuff here or followed any weird blogs and I brushed it off initially
Her posts on DA however... Very fucking damning: almost all their edits are of minors and adults in vore or of the character The Collector (Which is a child who is also a god; he is immortal, but at the point we last see them is mentally an 8-10 year old)
Now I didn't pick the most damning thing to screenshot, as it was too gross (unbirth incest between Luz the main character, her girlfriend and Luz's mother Camila) but here is one example of one of their posts:
Odalia/nickname Mamadalia is an antagonist of the show and an adult woman
Here is a screenshot of her account on tumblr:
Very lousily taken, but I was too distraught to care
I contacted the minor (who I am already friendly with, since I wanted to support the growth of their blog) as soon as I deemed this person to be a threat and the minor has told me that she has indeed acted weird towards them, but it only clicked now after I shared what I did...
The minors own words when I asked for details:
"I can't remeber what we talked about exactly since I deleted my discord in a panic-
But it was first of with the collector, at first it seemed harmless, but I started getting uncomfortable when it entered into the vore Stuff, like, I dont why but it rubbed me the wrong way but I didnt say anything since it sorta felt…uneasy to say the least, and i feel stupid because i never said anything about it
She also talked a lot about digestion aswell, and when I brought up the no minors thing- she said it was because she managed and 18+ discord server and it was okay for us to talk, and I feel this is extremely important to mention- she reposted your art to me without credit, I cant remeber everything but i hope this is enough"
Now the last thing I will say I don't have much of an opinion on, because of how severe the situation is, but I wanted to include the full message (Split up into paragraphs for easier reading)
I might have forgotten some stuff, but this is all I can think of right now
Please just stay safe, stay away and block/report this person!

Info!
Hey! I'm Vance, a transmasc guy who likes to draw and listen to music. I use he/him pronouns. I AM A MINOR! I'm 13, so I'm allowed to be on here, but I'm still young and kinda stupid. I don't interact with stuff 18+ because I'm savouring my childhood innocence before it gets shipwrecked through health class this year ^^. If you're accounts a minor dni account but a normal post, like fanart that's not dirty, of yours shows up on my home page and I interact with it, I probably didn't click into your account and see that, so don't block me or do block me, idc, just don't yell at me or smth. Idk, anyways- this is just some info about my account and what I plan to do here. Sorry if my grammar is bad, I'm a reader, not a writer. I also type very fast.
As a little summary if you don't want to read all this,
I draw (horribly), listen to music religiously, talk about my opinions on things and my hyperfixations. I'm currently pretty into Rick and Morty, Gravity Falls, and RTC.
Now for the essay of details. Yay!

I mainly draw my hyperfixations, which I'll talk about next. I only draw people because I suck at drawing animals and objects. I'm still learning since I literally just picked up drawing again after not drawing since I was 10-ish. I can't really draw anatomy and hair is so complicated! I try though, and if you have any art tips, please share! They all help! I mainly do traditional since my tablet is small and I have little to no experience with digital art. I've been trying to save up for a drawing table but money's tight :<

Ah yes, my hyperfixations. I'm in quite a lot of fandoms, so here's a list of the main one's that I'm into right now:
Rick and Morty
The Outsiders
Bully SE (yes, I know it's a video game from 2008, I don't care, it's fun to play)
South Park
Heartstopper
Astronomy (yes, I count astronomy as a fandom, sue me)
Good Omens (NOT NEIL GAIMAN)
RTC (Ride The Cyclone)
And many more! I take requests for these fandoms.

I'm heavily indulged in music, and I'm not exaggerating, I have a 70+ hour playlist. Speaking of which, is on Spotify and is called, A Transmasc Guy's Favorite Songs 💫. It has a meme as the cover. Very funny. If you're interested in finding new music or playlists that can go from Hozier to Ghost to David Bowie, then this is your playlist! Just a warning though, I've had this playlist since I was 11, so some songs might get outdated. I'm too lazy to go through it and remove songs. Maybe one day I will. I welcome music requests with open arms! I love finding new music. Also, French music is soooo good.
Link: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5vH1LV9iBSPWgoe9sOxSMs?si=UuVuFMwmSkeqlx-5fp1a-A

Last, but certainly not least, is questions and requests! I'm open to answering questions about myself and opinions on fandoms, music, games, and stuff like that! Please don't ask anything political or be rude (transphobic, homophobic, racist, etc.). For requests, I accept art and music requests! As I stated under fandoms, I draw my hyperfixations listed, but I draw others aswell, depending on the fandom. Feel free to leave a request for any fandom and I'll do it if I can. Requests might be slow, but I promise I'll get to it! You can also state if you just want line art, a colouring, shoulders and up, full body (might take a long while) and if you want traditional or digital! Just a heads up if you do, my drawing skills aren't the best, especially with anatomy and hair, so be aware. I also have limited colouring supplies for traditional and ability for digital, but I'll try my hardest!
And remember, I am a MINOR.
Thank you for reading all this and if you're interested, then follow, if you'd like of course. I know basically no one is going to see this, but for those who do, I hope you stick around. Obviously just don't be rude it disrespectful. Have a lovely day! - Vance, aka StarmanGeek

As a distraction to Sad Thoughts™, yesterday I drew a concept design for Little Helper.
For context it's a shiny Chandelure for a pokemon story I'm crafting as a pick me up. Just scroll on if you aren't interested in me rambling about that and world building lol
Light and dark background for clarity. They're supposed to look like they have little fangs both above and below the lip... Thingy, but it didn't translate well in the end I suppose.
I like the overall design even though I'm not the biggest fan of shiny chandlure's color scheme. Went for 'expensive chandelier your grandmother paid a professional to clean instead of getting a Swiffer'. Don't get me wrong, I see what they were going for, but I think it could have been a bit more interesting. Like silver metal as well as the flame and body color? Idk, it IS better than Lucario's shiny though.
Why the hell they chose yellow I'll never understand. I'll die a hater for that one.
Anyway! I figured it would make sense that a professional breeder, breeding their own pokemon to assist in their business, would go out of their way to 'create' a stunning specimen. A sort of flex. And I liked the idea of stained glass. Might redraw this to lean more into that and maybe play with the colors more. But I wanted a basic design first, which I did! Hopefully it's cohesive before I start playing with the colors lol
Since I don't have such plebian concerns like budget or complicated pixel designs to translate into workable 3D art or whatever, I can just... Make it a Thing™ that Pokemon actually have some damn variety. I mean, we get that every so often in the anime, but it's a notable exception to the norm. And I get why, don't come at me, I promise I'm not bullying the 90s anime for not handcrafting hundreds of subtly unique designs for every instance of a species we ever see.
The point is that I don't have that problem. So if I want minccino to have different fur colors aside from Normal and Shiny, I can do that. Easily. Same with everything else. I doubt I'll go so deep into the weeds it's stuff like, this is a mixed breed Squirtle with lovedisc or magikarp in there. They'll generally still follow Pokemon logic of favoring a specific parent with maybe moves or abilities passed down if they're different species. Common, out in the wild Pokemon will look pretty typical usually. But once you get into domesticated Pokemon, they tend to look notably different. You can always tell if a pokemon was wild caught instead of carefully bred.
Just different color or fur/scale/claw shape. Minor adjustments depending on how bred they are for traits. IV bred pokemon will likely have unique traits that make it easy to spot deliberate breeding. Even if it's not that big of a difference. Like Sneasel having tufted ear... Feather things instead of a smooth leaf shape. Or spots in their fur. Stuff like that.
It seems like a fun detail.
Also decided where Edna, the main OC is from as well as some little details like being really used to having Pokemon groom her from a young age. Her parents have minccinos that are pair bonded and groomed her every morning. So Yolky, and eventually the rest of her team, tend to play with her hair.
Gets a little dangerous with Toxitricity, Danny (short for Cadenza), cause he puts down poison in her hair but she gets a bit immune after a while as well as the rest of the team lol. It was either poison braids or static frizz everywhere. Gotta compromise somehow!
It'll be fun to play around with established designs for a more unique look!
#mittens rambles#pokemon fanfiction#pokemon oc#i really enjoy the creative fan designs but it would be A LOT to keep up with so ill limit to mostly aesthetic lol

6, 10, 24 for the asks :))
(link to ask game; send me an ask about AVA!)
6: something you see in art a lot and love
i think some of my favorite things are The Dark Lord's fan designs resembling a spider (which admittedly i'm also guilty of), the various hairstyles i see, and SC being short (which is canon but it's so funny to me... 🤝 we are both short)
my favorite hair designs are probably King and Purple with braids and Green with dreads :]
10: a blog (mutual or one you follow) that has made your fandom experience brighter
i COULD say Mystic made my experience better simply by tolerating my nonsense but i have a feeling that's not what this ask is supposed to be about lol--
if i had to pick, karmesean probably would be my main decision! runaway au is heartbreaking and also unbearably cute and like, I'm not a huge fan of a lot of the ships since i imagine familial bonds for much of the main cast so it's very nice to have someone who creates content outside of that.
no shade to shippers i just personally can't stand shipping content sometimes considering how much shipping content gets shoved down my throat in any fandom at any given moment (<- aromantic)
honorable mention to @wtfgaylittlezooid tho for dragging me into ava and also having GREAT human designs for the hollowheads as well as good start au :]
25: how has fandom positively impacted your life?
i mean. i can't say much for ava in particular (other than it sends my animation nerd brain bark bark woof bark crazy) but in general? fandom literally saved my life. it helped me find some of my best friends ever when i was completely isolated due to mental illness when i was going through an extremely traumatic part of my life.
this isn't to say that fandom is always a healthy escape-- i was in a pretty small fandom in the time and larger fandoms have a case of being much more dangerous, and escapism can fuck up your brain pretty bad, but it's definitely changed my life for the better.
however you should probably take care to keep fandom separate from your real life, unless you don't have a real life like me 👍
all this to say like. fandom is great but practice healthy distancing, and try not to burn yourself out by doing stuff just for the attention of your peers. just have fun and chill
also either way like. disclaimer im not a professional on fandom spaces so please practice reasonable safety in fandom spaces. especially if you're a minor. i didn't and got preyed upon pretty bad in larger fandoms without realizing it so it is a genuine concern.

Talk Hockey to Me
tagged by @giirlinterrupted 🤍💙
Tell me about:
1. The thing that got you hooked on hockey
I grew up in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, about an hour south of Hershey, PA. My dad grew up going to watch the Hershey Bears play minor league hockey in the American Hockey League, and he continued the tradition with me (and my sister sometimes.) At first, I only really liked to go to the games for an opportunity to spend time with my dad, which was rare sometimes, but in middle school I somehow ended up being really good at floor hockey when we played it in gym class. One day I managed to score a hat trick, even though I was terrible at every other sport. (I also had a crush on one of the players on my school's hockey team at that point.) So I just kinda thought hockey was fun at that point and started enjoying the actual games more. Then I picked a favorite player from the Bears independently for the first time, and it was Mike Green. I didn't know much about him, just thought he was cool. He turned out to be really good, and when he got called up to the NHL to play for the Capitals, I started watching the Caps games on TV. (I was also lucky that we got the sports channel from Washington DC, despite not being all that close to there.)
2. Your first ever fandom friend
I'm not too established in the hockey fandom on here. I have a personal blog that I rarely use anymore that I used to post occasional Caps stuff on and follow a few Capitals people, but that's on a different account that I rarely use. I know hockey has become a lot more popular on footieblr over the years. I remember a few years back when it was more unusual for these fandoms to overlap that I sent a message or two to people who were in both fandoms that I thought it was cool that they liked both sports like I do. Basically my only hockey friend on here is @giirlinterrupted (and I'm so grateful that she doesn't put Sidney Crosby on my dash like so many other footieblr hockey fans seem to do.) IRL I have been surrounded by hockey fans most of my life though, because it's pretty big in my state in general, so the main time I felt a little more alone on that was the 2 1/2 years I was living in San Francisco. Unfortunately I am currently surrounded by Penguins fans :( as I am living in Pittsburgh. My IRL best friend is also into hockey, but she is a Sabres fan since she is from Buffalo and now lives in Rochester, NY.
3. The jersey you would most like to own
I wish I had an old Mike Green or Jay Beagle Caps jersey. Mike Green is now retired, and Jay Beagle, I don't even know.
4. YOUR player (you only get ONE so choose wisely)
I still have an unhealthy attachment to Jay Beagle even though he's been off the Caps for years. None of the current players can live up to that.
5. A pairing that deserves more fic
Don't really read fic much, but Ovi/Backstrom (I'm so out of the loop that I don't even know if they have a ship name) are adorable together, and idk how popular they are, at least outside of Caps fans.
6. Your favourite on-ice moment
6/7/18. What else? I still cry when I think about it sometimes, and I can barely listen to "I Will Wait" by Mumford and Sons without crying due to that "Worth the Wait" video the Caps put out on social media after the Cup win.
link someone else's art/fic/etc that you love & think everyone should check out
He's here on Tumblr (@mxgicdave) but I could only find my favorite pic of his on Twitter:

link something you made & are proud of & want people to see
Got nothing. I tried to write a few things about hockey in the past, but not since I was like 13. I was writing a story about a minor league hockey player whose playing got impacted by past trauma. Didn't get very far, then I was also trying to write a murder mystery featuring the Capitals, and I got even less far with that.
no pressure tagging:
I have no one to tag! :(

Shadow's 2024 Games List
idk i thought this would be a cool thing i could do where i go through all the games that i played for the first time in <current year> (side note: i would have put this up last year but there was a latecomer so i delayed it a couple days). It wont include *every* game i played for the first time this year, just games that i started playing this year and played a somewhat decent amount of (not necessarily finished), and going through them all and what I liked and/or didn't like about them. Also a lot of these will be older games, not necessarily games that *released* this year since that would bring the total down to 3.
Also this contains spoilers for basically all the games I played, but I will mention some games specifically in case people haven't played them and wish to, since they may be better going in blind:
Superhot trilogy (Minor stuff from the ending of the third game) Inscryption (Go into this one blind, trust me) I'm sticking a keep reading cut in there. Seriously, go play Inscryption if you haven't already.
So, in a particular order (the order i got them in mostly):
Turnip Boy Robs a Bank
Having played the first game turnip boy commits tax evasion relatively close to launch, I was following the development of this one quite closely, getting to try out the demo, and then getting the game day 1 (in fact this is the only game I have ever purchased day 1), and had a blast. It's a relatively short game, I 100%ed it for the first time in around 11 hours, there is some potential replay value though I cannot deny there is less than other roguelites. The main layout is not random, however some item placement is, and the elevator rooms are random. Still, I had a lot of fun with it, and I can also confidently say I am the only player to ever legitimately reach 1B cash in the game which is something normal to want to achieve.
Lethal Company
Didn't try this one out until about 3 months after release, but was playing it very regularly once I did. Still pick it up every update or so for a few days, the reason I don't play it more is because its a very multiplayer-centric game and requires me to have friends online to play (yes I am aware it can be played solo but its not as fun that way). Very much enjoyed this one, and am eager to see where the developer goes with future updates
Celeste
Playing this gave me a sudden urge to put on a skirt. I'm sure its nothing
Superliminal
Messing around with perspective to solve puzzles, I really enjoyed this one. Puzzle mechanics were very intuitive, and I believe this was the mechanic that would have been used in a canned sequel to portal. It isn't in the portal/hl universe obviously, but I did still have a good time with it
Manifold Garden
Absolutely stunning visuals, it feels more like an art piece made into a videogame and- *searches something up* oh wait it was. Really enjoyed this one, definitely worth giving it a go if you haven't yet
The Pedestrian
Puzzle game involving moving a character across street signs, and the puzzles themselves are good as well. It's the first game on this list I haven't actually finished yet (not 100%ed, that would go to celeste since I have basically just climbed the mountain on that), but what I have played I have thoroughly enjoyed.
Buckshot Roulette
This one was a lot of fun i love gambling. Multiplayer was a great addition but I *wish* the developers let you use it on the itch.io version, but still I'm happy that it exists at all. It's a good game to just pick up and play a round or two for.
Dead Cells
Had a lot of fun with this one, haven't beat it yet but I have played a lot, reached the final boss (I think) once but died to them. It's a great one for my steam deck as its something I can just pick up for a run or two while I'm waiting for something.
Superhot Trilogy
So I first picked up Superhot VR for the PSVR in a cex, since I'd heard about it in passing (well, Superhot as a franchise) and the points on the back of the box sold me enough to drop £8 on this second hand copy. Insanely fun. Best of all three of them, It feels like the concept of the game was made specifically for VR. If you have any VR headset that has the option to buy it, definitely buy it. One of the best games I picked up this year.
After beating and enjoying Superhot VR, I noticed the bundle of the two non-VR games (I believe the first and third in release order) on GOG was on sale, and, well, I enjoyed the VR game so I thought I'd pick up the bundle. The original Superhot was enjoyable, basically the VR game but not in VR and you can move about (Well you could move in the VR game but only as much as you had physical space). Had my fun with that, and then moved onto the third game.
Superhot: Mind Control Delete starts off strong but near the end I was struggling to get through it. A roguelite Superhot? Marketed as more Superhot? Why wouldn't I like it, having liked the first two? Well, I did like it, to begin with. The hacks were a neat mechanic, giving you special abilities, and the health was nice, somewhat counteracting the fact that unlike the other games, you can't "learn" each level, since enemy spawns are procedural (In the first two it was partially a puzzle game in the sense that you needed to work out how to defeat the same set of enemies spawning in the same locations each retry). Cores were interesting, but I mostly avoided them. The whole gimmick of roguelite Superhot was starting to wear a bit halfway through. And then the unkillable enemies started showing up. Basically, the three cores you unlock (you start with one that gives an extra HP for a total of three) all have an unkillable enemy associated with them, and later levels will always have one of these (not related to the core equipped, so you cannot avoid them by only using the default core). You cannot kill them, you must avoid them, and the most annoying one can teleport into you. I was so glad when I found out you can give up the cores to stop them spawning, but that is basically at the end of the game. The ending itself.... you have to wait two and a half hours. With the game running. It does not save your wait time progress.
SH:MCD starts off alright but really isn't that fun later on.
Inscryption
Well, back to games i thoroughly enjoyed. Inscryption is a game that you should go into completely blind. You saw the spoiler warning at the top, right? Go play it if you haven't already. I'm serious. You can read my review later. Go play it then come back. Now, where should I start...
I love this game. A lot. All I knew about it going in was two offhanded mentions in a Pyrocynical video, where he says the ourobouros card can be buffed to like 10k if you waste enough time on it, and also the game looks at your files (if you know of Pyrocynical, you'll be able to guess why he brought that up), the latter of which I forgot about until the moment happened. Also a bundle on steam it had with Buckshot Roulette called "basically the same game". I did not buy that bundle, instead I bought it with a coupon code from the GOG newsletter that, upon looking at SteamDB and GogDB, would put the game down to an even lower price than anyone else would get (seriously do not sleep on GOG's newsletter, it gives out free games and coupons on some pretty decent games, I got Shotgun King: The Last Checkmate on a discount from there last year), and since I knew it was kinda similar to buckshot roulette, I bit the bullet and bought the game.
Started out with Leshy's Act I. I died a lot but had a lot of fun, solving most of the puzzles (on my first playthrough I didn't unlock the ring, nor the bee statue to replace squirrels), and beating the moon on the first attempt that I actually got that far on (so it wasn't until later I found out that you get a champion card on the door instead of a deathcard when you win, also I didn't encounter any death card nodes despite dying enough to. I do kind of wish I beat the moon once before getting the film roll to experience that, but still), and then got confused for 3 minutes after picking up the new game button, not realising I had to actually exit out and start a new game.
Act II was slightly disappointing at first, but it definitely grew on me, and I have replayed it standalone a handful of times with some challenges (e.g. 4 runs where I only use one class of cards, and a run where I use every card I acquire in a run since the only requirement is at least 20 cards, and there didn't appear to be an upper limit. The answer is yes, it's possible, but *very* RNG heavy).
I did enjoy Act III, I wish a few more of the mechanics were brought over to Kaycee's Mod (more on that later, also I do wish there was an option to do an act 3 kaycee's mod run but I do get why that's not there in the vanilla game for lore reasons. I'll get to mods later), but it is a decent act and I like Lonely Wizbot and the fisherman. The Archivist boss fight was fun cause i gave it Daily TV #69 which it put on as a face, and then /dev/core from my pc which was 128TiB. I wish Golly had the ability to interface with GOG Galaxy like it does with Steam to show friends there, but still a good concept.
The Finale was.... certainly interesting. Saying goodbye to all the scrybes, Grimora's interesting concept of the chessboard, Leshy's "One more game" (I did shed a tear when he insisted we kept playing and didn't need to keep score), and Magnificus' "All style no substance" battle (seriously is there anyone who has tried to win at that? I cannot find a single result online for that). All culminating with finding the OLD_DATA and then the final video... and Magnificus' act 2 theme is perfect for credits music.
Kaycee's Mod is great, Basically Act I but with a few mechanics removed (I do miss deathcards but yeah, balancing, same with ouroborous not keeping stat bonuses between runs and some unlocks like the bee statue, squirrel totem, dagger, boons before the final fight, etc., though I wish there were more escape-roomy stuff like act 1 had). Loved (most of) the challenges, Royal's boss fight is a fun alternative if you are bored of the moon (boss totems make no changes since none of Royal's cards have tribes)
Overall I would easily say this is one of the best games I played [for the first time] this year.
Webfishing
Imagine club penguin but instead of a whole island you can only go fishing and you don't get banned for saying fuck. Also gay as hell (positive). It's great, you can, if you want, never use online and exclusively play a singleplayer (or coop with friends only) fishing game where you collect a lot of fish, alternatively you could only use it as an online chatroom, or some mix of fishing and chatting, anything's possible. Good fun, better with friends imo but I like multiplayer with friends if I can. Also you can get drunk.
Balatro
The latecomer I mentioned in the first paragraph (feels like a while ago, I don't know how long it takes to read all this but I started making this post like 2 months ago), I got this one as a gift on christmas (well, a day or two after but it was a christmas present). This one has been a blast, this combined with inscryption being some of the most fun games I played this year is leading me to probably check out some more roguelike deckbuilders next year (well this year since this is going up on jan 1st). It is a very popular recent release so you may have heard about it, but the general gist of the game is you play poker hands to score points, and you get jokers which have effects to increase your score and you progress through the rounds. There's other mechanics that can add or remove or modify cards in your deck (adding 3 new poker hands being five of a kind, flush house (combo of flush and full house), and flush 5 (being 5 of a kind and a flush)). Very fun game and a perfect one for steam deck where I mostly pick games up to play a few rounds of something at a time. Also I found a tool to create an apk from a steam install to play on phone which is neat.
So that was my wrap-up of games this year, overall positive, see you again next year when I do the same thing (hopefully I get enough new games...)
#im probably not tagging the games since i dont really want the attention from that#this is more for people who actually care enough to read it#i dont think a random tumblr user browsing a games tag will particularly be interested in this

About Me (Kind of)
Doing this Drawing My Reads challenge this last year, made me realize there's a lot people don't know about me. You don't have to know anything about me, of course. But since I've had an uptick in followers, I thought I'd share a few things anyway. For context.
I'm a librarian! Technically a Library Clerk because I don't have my Master's. But this last year I got promoted to Programming Clerk. And I specifically run my library's Makerspace. Which means I get to play with cool, creative machines all day. This also means that I sometimes get to just vibe to audiobooks and draw stupid stuff (it's ideal). My primary focus at the moment is our laser printer. So I will 1000% be adding those creations into my rotation soon. Expect to see some SVG files and wooden bookmarks and things on my Etsy shop soon.
2. That being said, it's important to note that I hardly ever pay for books. I have access to a full library 40 hours a week. So please don't think I'm out here spending hundreds of dollars on these books. I very rarely pay for them.
3. My education is in books. I have a degree in English and Literature. I minored in Journalism. I didn't get to go to art school because there just weren't a lot of options for me back then. So I am a self-taught artist. And I'm lucky to have found a job that combines both of my passions.
4. I am a fully adult woman. I read a lot of very adult books. I'm closer to 40 than 20 and I have a teenage son. Please keep that in mind when interacting with me.
5. My reading tastes can sometimes seem contradictory. I love romances but I tend to stick to fantasy and scifi. I don't do contemporaries very often. And I don't read classics because chances are, I've already read it, analyzed it, wrote an essay on it, and read it again. I did my time and now I'm in debt for classic literature. I'm just trying to have fun. So sometimes I might diss a popular book and be very critical about it. And then turn around and wax poetic about alien smut. I don't expect much from the alien smut. I do expect more from serious books.
6. I pick my reads with a randomizer! This is why I sometimes take a long time getting to a sequel. I have made exceptions for a series I wanted to continue right away. And sometimes I roll again if I'm not in the mood for the book I got. I'm going to try to be a little stricter on this in 2024 though. With the exception of the audio books I listen to at work. I always search Libby for what's available now so I'm not wasting my work time, searching every book on my TBR to see if it's in.
7. You are more than welcome to send me suggestions! I'll probably just stick them on my TBR so I can't guarantee I'll read it quickly. But if you think I'll like it, feel free to recommend it. I'm also happy to talk books with you if you need someone to vent to about a book you know I've read.
8. You are also welcome to add me on Storygraph (beautawn) or TikTok (NineLivesArt). I'm stepping away from Goodreads, so you probably won't see a lot of updates on there. But I post drawing videos on TikTok and I update my Storygraph pretty regularly.
9. However, I don't do reviews! Why? They make me uncomfy! Sometimes I really need to marinate with a book before I decide if I like it or not. Rating systems make me anxious. And my mood alters my decisions. I also don't like being mean. I'm fine talking about my feelings with other readers, but I don't like leaving reviews. Especially if I plan to make art for it. Don't want to draw a lovely portrait and then bash the book.
10. I do plan to continue this project into the new year. But I am planning on doing it a little different. I have some other (non book related) projects I want to work on, and I want to push myself to focus more on the things I need to improve. I really want to focus on environments this year, so I'll be drawing scenes from the book instead. Which means I may not draw a book even if I loved it.
Thank you for following my reading/art journey! I didn't expect this silly little project to have such a positive response. I love when people talk books with me and I actually made friends with a few authors this year! So overall, it's been a very positive experience and I'm ready to jump into the New Year and see what it brings!
#frequently asked questions#that weren't actually asked#just thought i'd provide some context#for why i am the way that I am#and why i read what i read

Arrrggghhh I've kept my mouth shut for so long, but I just can't anymore. >.< (and I'm a bit sorry for hijacking this post, because OP is so right about the hilariously nonspecific TV show mention... but that halfhearted attempt at filling print space actually ties in pretty well to my following rant, so.)
Apparently I'm in the minority, but I actually really dislike this cover. My background in graphic design (including some commercial book design) undoubtedly makes me more critical than the average fan, but this cover design is just so... incredibly... mediocre, and it is not going to sell this book.
The purpose of a book cover (for anything other than established classics, which get a pass because of name recognition and built-in demand) is to convey to a potential reader, in what is usually a less-than-one-second glance as they walk by an endcap or scroll down a web page, as much critical information about the story as it can (mainly the genre!), and hopefully get them interested enough to pick it up/click on it to read the blurb. The title of the book should also be clearly visible and should pop enough to be memorable, since a person is statistically more likely to buy a book if they encounter the title multiple times.
This cover fails on both of those counts. The art doesn't tell you anything except 1) there are two men in this book, and 2) it's a modern setting. Critically, the subtext in the artwork is only present if you're expecting it -- if I didn't already know these characters, I'd think they were just two guys who didn't get along and were posturing, which is what is most commonly conveyed by unsmiling eye-to-eye contact between men. (In fact, that's the very thought I had the first time I saw the cover art go by; only after I noticed the title and realized who the characters were did I realize that the leaning-staring thing was supposed to be conveying sexual tension rather than aggression.) There is nothing in the art that suggests romance or paranormal or mystery or reincarnation or anything that's actually relevant to the story. There is no genre, which is the single most important thing a cover conveys! Based on the art alone, it could be a coffeeshop romance, or a drama about two rival journalists, or a comedy about a funeral director and a serial killer, or a thriller about auto racing, or...
The layout doesn't reinforce the title, either; in fact, the lines in the art actually lead the eye away from the title (a mistake any 101-level design class teaches you to avoid). There are also issues with the typesetting: The hairlines don't read when reduced (especially important in the age of online sales and thumbnails), and the lack of contrast behind the G makes it disappear. At a casual glance -- the kind people browsing for books tend to give covers -- the only strong letters are "ARDIA," which looks more "ARDJA" because of the broken I/knife shape. Add in the 1 under the left half of the N, and there's enough visual interference that it's just not going to stick. I would guess most people walking past this book on a store shelf would not even register the title, much less remember it later.
And all of that is before you even get to the back cover copy, which is just... so, so bland. I realize it's the first book and you don't want to fill the blurb with spoilers, but this description is so generic, it doesn't even sound like the book has a plot. Even a formulaic "can they [desired outcome] before [threatened consequence]?" would be an improvement.
I do understand why a lot of fans like the cover -- and if I saw this art in context on my Tumblr dash, I'd probably think, "wow, really good Guardian fanart!" because at that point, I'm coming at it with an understanding of who the men are, what their backstory is, and why there's attraction-yet-friction between them. And yes, as an illustration of Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan, it works! But the purpose of a book cover is to sell the book to people who don't already know the story and characters, and if I were browsing in a bookstore and saw this sitting on the shelf, this cover would not make me pick it up.
Look, we all love the cover, and we're right to. We should love the cover. It's such a delightful contrast to the other (gorgeous, this is not a criticism) danmei covers they've been doing, the ones with swirling gossamer robes and blossoms falling gently from trees. No, this one lets you know from the start that you are in for the catastrophe romance of a bitey man who cannot work a cell phone and a disaster bisexual who makes instant noodles with coffee, neither of whom has a lick of respect for the other's personal space. Also, they fuck.
What I haven't stopped laughing about, though, is the little block of text right over Shen Wei's right armpit:
From the author of Sha Po Lang: Stars of Chaos and Faraway Wanderers comes Guardian, the hit novel series that inspired a live-action TV show.
It inspired a TV show. You know, just a show. No adjectives. You can't watch it anywhere. We're not going to tell you what it's called. It's just, you know, a show. There's some action. It was live. You should be enticed to read this book by knowing this fact, but you should feel no similar draw to the drama it inspired. It's the 'she's everything, he's just Ken' of media cross-promotion.
Guardian: truly one of the shows of all time.
#cover design#guardian#seven seas#probably going to make people mad with this criticism but i do cringe a little every time i see the book so at least it's honest#honestly if they'd just moved the title down an inch it would be so much more legible. yeah it'd break the rule of thirds but LEGIBILITY#and they could have included one of ZYL's supernatural gadgets or the ghost slayer in the bg or like ANY visual hint about the plot

not sure how it's possible but your work keeps getting prettier and prettier! can i ask what your process/method is for creation?
hello! sorry it's taken me a little to reply :S first of all, thank you!! that's very sweet ^-^ anyway, i'm not sure this will be particularly insightful :( but here goes nothing:
step 1: check the form for new submissions!
and then delete them all >:) ,,,but not without copying the information to a variety of spreadsheets. behold the madness:
in this one i copy the information that was submitted as it is.
these are where i rearrange the information so a) my brain can understand it and b) so that i can copy/paste stuff while making graphics and at the time of posting.
the first one is for the captions i attach to every tumblr post, and the second is the alt text for the images. there's a third one for twitter, but it's the same as the tumblr one.
and this one is where i keep track of all the steps i follow!
spreadsheet: copying the information from the forms
proofread: open the ao3 work to quickly check that someone didn't sneak explicit stuff or something like that
read and graphic: self-explanatory
captions and alt text: registering the information in the tables i showed before
twitter and tumblr: scheduling the posts to go up
(3 and 4 are inverted, but i'm too lazy to change it now x.x also, notice how they are (mostly) arranged in groups of three; before i even proofread things, i roughly decide the general aesthetic of the graphic: dark, pastel or colourful)
i do this almost every night. since people usually submit stuff in bulk, i often spend one or two hours simply sorting through the forms.
step 2: read the stories!
i usually read a story, then make the graphic immediately after. this is so i don't mix things up and the story is fresh in my very-forgetful mind~ while i read, i try to imagine things as they happen and pick at least one element i want to include in the graphic.
for instance, for this one (post), i wanted a duck somewhere. evidently, it ended up being a very minor detail but there they are! ducklings! :]
step 3: try to imagine the graphic
this is admittedly the hardest part tbh. i stick to my statement: i am not an artist. give me a minute and i will come up with a decently fleshed-out story idea. art or visual aspects are a different tale x.x some days my creativity leaves me altogether and i just stare into space for hours with absolutely no clue of how to make a graphic for one story.
hence why i rely so much on inspiration. some days i ravage my bookshelf, some days i google "spider book cover", some days i browse spotify and look at the album art and many days i end up scrolling through the canva templates section for hours until i see something that sparks an idea.
this one (post) is random. i was stumped on what to do and then i glanced at the video i had on the background and that was that.
i look at anything and everything for inspiration,,, again, i have no idea how artists do this x.x not to imply that they don't struggle (i'm sure they do), but i'm genuinely bad at this,,, especially since i try to make all the graphics as unique as possible; i like flowers, they are pretty and go well with most stories, but i think it'd be quite boring if everything i made had flowers :S
step 4: make the graphic
anyway, when i (finally) have an idea, i go on canva and get down the first element i had in mind, or the colour i want to use, or the general composition,,, anything. sometimes the only thing i've thought about is the text.
and then i just go from there, often with no plan or ending idea in mind :S
some graphics are simple and i can get them done in two hours, some are complex and i get them done in ten hours. perfectionism is how my brain is wired and i always feel like i need to bring things to perfection, so i tweak everything a lot even if i know i could get away with leaving some stuff as it is.
alas, i try to have fun during the process and sometimes i surprise myself with making something i am super proud of!
like this one! (post). as you can see, there are a bunch of layers and details. i went in with literally no plan but i kept adding stuff until it felt good :]
it's not as simple as just sticking some of canva's assets together, though. i often have to do a lot of editing. everything in that tunnel, for instance, was just lineart (?) with no option to give it a background colour, so i had to go in with my limited artsy knowledge and paint things until they looked the way i wanted.
these are all the different canva assets i used in that one + a finn silhouette. i'm trying not to use too many silhouettes because, like flowers, it's easy and i often gravitate to that but no >:( i shan't fall prey to the impulses.
speaking of silhouettes,,, there must be an easier way to do it, but the software i use (gimp; it's free x.x) is a little confusing to me so i just end up "tracing" over the outline of photos i like.
in the process, i tend to go all,,, frankenstein.

i chopped off finn's arm in the first one :( but then i gave him a jacket for the second one because his silhouette looked cold ^-^ (also gave noah will-hair). third one i just,,, mirrored the other arm x.x 1st story || 2nd story || 3rd story
other minor changes i often have to do is recolouring stuff and the like
again, these are edited with gimp and i'm sure there are weird errors, but i felt the story needed something softer (post).
some elements i actually find from other free source (?) websites, but it's rare.
last, but not least, sometimes i do try my hand at art x.x i'm not sure i'm good in the slightest, but it's been somewhat fun to try. i tend to look at artists i like, mainly for colour palettes because i never struggle with the graphics but i get stuck when trying to draw :S
for instance, the colours in this one (post) are all inspired by the second artwork in the tweet.
step 5: double check before posting
confession: yesterday i forgot to add the author's name to a graphic. there are at least three graphics in this account that are missing the "ratings" altogether. sometimes, there are minuscule mistakes that could've been easily spotted and fixed and i just,,, didn't see them.
i often catch a million things like that while making the graphics, but things do slip at times and i end up thinking about them for weeks x.x so i double and triple check everything and i never catch everything, but i try :S
i try to get my brother to help me a little, but the dingus always says everything is okei and goes back to his shenanigans >:( he is an actual artist so it's all the more frustrating but alas, there's nothing i can do about it x.x
step 6: schedule things for posting
uh,, not much to say about this. i just add the graphics, copy the information from the spreadsheets i showed you, then add all the links and tags and leave things be :]
except,,, i don't. i move on to something else and then i go back to check for mistakes and i keep looking for errors and i sometimes change things last minute x.x
the little detail in the corner where mike is screaming? that was added a minute the thing went up,,, (post)
it's uh,, overwhelming. i know i overthink way too much (about my writing, too), but it's been ten years of getting anxious about these things so i'm not sure it'll stop anytime soon :(
the little comments you guys leave really help though! so thank you for that :]
step 7: post the thing and "rest"
again, i continue to search for errors after i post, but unless it's a big thing (like the aforementioned "i forgot to add the author's name" moment from yesterday) i force myself to leave the post as it is. my brain hates me for it, but it's the one thing i manage to do to ease my anxiety x.x
so, with the post up and big errors mended, i get to rest! for a bit! and then i have to do it all over again!
this entire process (step 1 excluded) takes around 4-6 hours (or more) so by the time i post something, i'm already late at making the next graphic :S hence why i usually take a couple free days every few graphics.
i've also been really sick lately (covid + randomly passing out because of overarching health issues) so things take a bit longer :(
it's fun though! i'd never tried my hand at any visual stuff and some graphics are admittedly lackluster, but sometimes i surprise myself with some very pretty things i make :]
in addition to the ones i've already shared, i'm quite proud of these graphics~ 1st story || 2nd story || 3rd story || 4th story || 5th story || 6th story
plus, i get to talk to a lot of nice people, read/share wonderful stories, and more importantly, do something nice for authors! so it's all worth it, i think :]
random, but i'm not sure i'll ever get to use this little guy so i want to share him :D
anyway, i could continue to procrastinate for quite a while but i have to (gues what!) go make today's graphics x.x shoutout to all the authors whose stories i randomly featured here; please check all their stories as they are all amazing.
@itsromeowrites, @ghoulsanderson, @wiseatom, @eggo-owl, @smoosnoom, @byeler, @bookinit02, @lilacline001, @astrobei, @voulezvulcan, @sevensided
i'm going to take a nap now. apologies if, after all this, i didn't even answer your question.

For your event, maybe Lester with 6 please 😁😁
Road Trips & Something More
age in bio when interacting. minors do not interact.
Word Count: 1,170 / Read it on AO3 / Wattpad | Event List

"You wanna go somewhere?" Lester asked as he stood with his hands on the back of his truck.
His eyes looked into yours.
"Where to?"
"I don't know, just an idea. Somewhere out of this town, there's one nearby?"
"Like a vacation?"
"Yeah, I'm not looking to move anytime soon. Kinda like it here in town. Just need a break from taking care of this all the time." He said as he gestured over towards the kill pile.
When you first came to the city, you met him first. He was nothing but nice to you and very welcoming.
He had found you a place at a hotel to stay in. Very quickly did you realize the town was abandoned, and it was just you and him.
Not wanting him to be alone, you moved into the tiny hotel and stayed. After several months, you fell in love and moved in with him.
After many more months, he showed you the only other people living in the city, Bo and Vincent.
Vincent never spoke a word to you, but gave a little wave here and there when he saw you.
Bo was a friendly southern boy and proud of his brother for finding himself a partner.
Lester was the oldest brother, having the same mom as the twins but different fathers. He had grown up and moved out by the time the twins were born.
The three of them got along great, but they didn't talk much, and Lester continued to live in the same house he had bought all those years ago.
Lester liked art but didn't care much about making it himself, so his mother supported him until he moved away.
She found a new man, and together, they had twins. When Vincent picked up on the same artistic talent and desires she had, she was overjoyed.
However, she never mentioned to Bo or Vincent her previous life and child.
It wasn't until the city shut down, and the twins decided to finish what their mother had started, that they discovered they had an older brother.
Lester had always known about the twins, but never really reached out until they did first. He didn't want to interrupt or bother them.
Lester didn't want to leave the city and decided to stay. When they discovered they were related, he agreed to help them out.
Vincent would make the art, Bo would take care of the electrical things, cars, and other various projects, and Lester volunteered to keep the city clean.
Despite his smell, he did shower daily; when he would take you on a date, he would scrub the absolute hell out of his truck. Trying to make it nice and clean for you, he would apologize for the smell, which wasn't as bad as it could be.
He took better care of his hygiene rather than his truck's; after all, it would only get dirty again.
You did, eventually, get used to the smell and helped point out various animals to Lester during the trips around town.
However, you wouldn't touch them, which he understood and was fine with it.
It was a bright sunny day, the clouds were nowhere to be seen, and there you stood.
"Y'know, just something different for Valentine's day." He said as he looked around before looking at you.
"I'd love to." You said, smiling as your hand reached out to grab the door handle of the truck.
Since living in the empty town, you had never visited other cities nearby.
You didn't want to get lost, and you didn't want to accidentally pick up a few strangers.
Lester's truck was broken when you had first met, his air conditioner didn't work, his passenger door wouldn't open from the inside, and he still had yet to get it fixed.
You did try many times to surprise him by getting it fixed for him, but by the time you woke up, he was gone about his day.
You slid into the seat of his truck and he followed not long afterward.
"I'll clean the truck if you can pack the stuff?"
He asked, looking at you as he started it up.
"Yeah, I can do that."
You looked out the window. It was always the same trees, grass, and dirt. Still, you looked out the open window, watching as the waves of heat rose from the gravel road.
It wasn't long before the both of you arrived home. He lived just outside town. It was a small formerly white house. The dirt and dust had changed the color over time.
Lester got out and walked to your side to open the door for you.
You got out and headed in, ready to pack two bags while Lester went to work on his truck.
It had been a long while since he had cleaned it, but he knew exactly what he needed to do and what would get it cleaned and somewhat sparkly.
The bags packed, you headed out and Lester was still working on some spots.
When he finished, he grabbed both bags and put them in the truck.
Neither one of you had booked a hotel and only hoped a place would be open.
It was late in the night. You weren't tired yet, but you laid your head on Lester's shoulder. With your hand on his thigh, he looked over at you, seeing you were still awake.
He continued to drive until your hand slid further up and stopped.
He pulled over to an empty spot out of the way of traffic and somewhere no one would see what might happen.
He turned the car off and cracked the window, his arm resting on the seat, the other on the window ledge.
He looked at you, waiting to see what you would do. You looked at him, seeing what he wanted to do.
He spoke first. "You can continue."
You moved to straddle his hips, your lips meeting his neck as your hands worked to undo his belt and then his pants.
His hands lifted your shirt, and he tossed it to the passenger seat.
You slid his brown, unbuttoned shirt off before working to take the gray shirt off.
He often wore two shirts, one as a jacket of sorts, the other as, well, a shirt.
His hands were at your hips, holding onto you as you ground your hips against his bulge.
You stopped to remove your pants, and his hand slid your underwear to the side and began to slowly stroke/rub you.
You bit your lip and tilted your head back as you continued to rock your hips back and forth.
His lips met your neck as he freed himself and moved your hips to align with his cock.
You slid down on him, letting out a moan as you tightened around him.
You waited a moment to get comfortable and slowly began to move up and down.
Lester's hands are on your hips to help your movements.

But Why Don't You Want To Be Popular?: A Vent Essay
Because it means not having time to just exist any more. When you're making stuff for yourself, you can afford to not create. Spend time reading and relaxing, mulling ideas for other projects. But not when you're popular. Any time taken for yourself, the slightest breather, is time you could be rushing out Content for the Content mills. You published a three hour long YouTube essay last week, and you're doing anything else than shoving your face against the grindstone? Look forward to people making memes about how slow you are and comparisons to A Song of Ice and Fire or Duke Nukem Forever.
Because it means no longer being human in people's eyes. As a regular schlub, you eat, sleep, shit, fill out forms, catch colds, and occasionally get your favourite takeout. You get to be messy, imperfect, a person. When you're popular, you're an untouchable god, a genius without peer. Quintuply so if you're some kind of minority, in which case you're an Upstanding Ambassador For Our Community. Which means that if you slip up in any way, or even simply appear to slip up when your words are twisted into the least charitable interpretation possible, you are lower than scum. You betrayed us, after all.
Because you're always a disappointment. If you write something with multiple installments, when you're popular it's always under scrutiny. When you write the sixth episode, people complain it's going downhill and it's just not what I signed up for. When you write the twentieth, people wax lyrical about how good the first dozen episodes were and how the newer stuff just doesn't compare. When you write the forty-third, people are in agreement that the golden age of the show ended at episode 30 and you've really been coasting on your earlier success ever since. When you finally end the show with the fifty-second installment, everyone complains about this great show that kept up the quality right to the end is ending and when's the continuation/reboot happening?
Because it means having to ignore people. You start out with the odd bit of fan art here and there, which you excitedly retweet/reblog/etc to your followers. Then you get more. And more. And more. People complain about the flood of art retweets, and your own stuff gets more and more lost in the shuffle. You sag in your seat at the avalanche of stuff you Must Share. Eventually you have to pick your battles, creating discourse over why that person got a retweet and I didn't. You're saying I'm a shit artist and I should give up, aren't you? Eventually you throw in the towel, unable to keep up with all the great things your fans are making. Your fans bemoan how remote and uncaring you are to them now.
Because you're not just telling a story with your characters any more. People write their own fanfics, tell their own stories. Which is all fine and good, until you go in directions people don't want you to. You introduce a romance between the two characters you always intended, and people who read fanfics about a different pairing all day send you death threats. If you could go back in time and rewrite your entire story so that what the fandom has declared The Correct Ship is endgame, you get death threats from the fans of the pairing you originally intended. There is no winning move in The Discourse.
Because you become a juicy target. All kinds of political chancers can and will use you as a punching bag to sic their audiences on and spread their ideology by attempting to start feuds with you. Defending yourself means giving them the attention and publicity they need and plays directly into their hands. So, to avoid the situation entirely, you spend most of your creative time asking yourself how to discourseproof your work. You fail anyway when these people find ways to latch onto your work elsewhere.
Because that means you're a vector for commerce. Your ideas and creations are ripe to be plucked by the lowliest TikTok reuploader to the biggest corporations. The former will just make beer money plastering an upload of your work with ads. The latter will see that your work is popular with the correct lucrative demographics, strip it of anything that might offend the sensibilities of a far right helicopter mom in rural Utah, and then repackage the remaining elements to print money for people whose wealth is incomprehensible. If you complain about your ideas being blatantly stolen to prop up bland corporate product, the full weight of the most expensive legal teams in the world will crush you with libel claims.
Because, because, because.

Well, I log onto tumblr for the first time in a few months to rewrite some posts and I see this shit on my timeline. I'm going to go on a tirade right now because this just pisses me the fuck off. I thought we were done with this, and this seems to be from months ago too, but nope. You posted this literal days after the whole debacle of you being unable to handle criticism. If you respond to this or try to drag it on, I'm blocking you Jay.
I am autistic as well, I understand it can make you blunt but that's not a fucking excuse to post a screenshot with my uncensored username to then bitch about me and make false claims. I personally use strong words, but it was nothing more than my personal opinion. I was unaware at the time that you were a porn artist, but that doesn't mean I can't have an opinion. This was posted on fucking reddit, dude. I also find it really weird how you found the post within only like 3 hours, what were you name searching yourself or some shit? I honestly wonder how you found it so quickly, and how you found it at all at that. Are you just name searching yourself all the time to try and act pissed at anyone criticizing you? This is the Internet, dude, I expect more from an adult.
Can I also say how you are harassing me and allowing your followers to witch-hunt me if they so please, when you are 35 and I'm 17? Are you fucking serious? You're an ADULT, act like one.
I pointed out how you drew "lesbians turning straight" art, but you rebutted and insisted a lesbian commissioned that. I'll believe that, sure. But you STILL fetishize lesbians, because you have MULTIPLE pieces of art like this. And don't tell me they're all commissions. This is only one example, there are more than just this
Censored so this doesn't get taken down. But you know what else? You LITERALLY PUT THAT YOU "LIKE" LESBIANS IN YOUR FURSONA SHEET along with incest, noncon and dubcon
Don't fucking tell me that it was "just a commission" when this is cold hard evidence that you have a weird obsession with lesbians, as a MAN.
My second complaint is that you accused me of cherry-picking, giving Brandy, "washboard flat" as an example. However, you still find other ways to sexualize this character, talking about her ass in posts.
I'm not saying you can't be horny, I'm saying don't try to say she isn't sexualized just because she has a small chest unlike the others. I'll give you the pass on Cybil though, her design is fine actually.
On AI art, I stand by my claim. Ai only hurts artists, nothing it produces is original. I understand you have rheumatoid arthritis, but you brag about making a shit ton of money from your art, why don't you hire a background artist? Using ai literally only makes your art look worse because ai backgrounds are easy to spot, it looks cheap and lazy then. Companies are now using ai to make movie posters and advertisements instead of hiring real artists now. And can we talk about how ai is evolving to make fucking DEEPFAKE PORN OF MINORS?? The toby fox arguement doesn't even work, he still made the entire song, wrote it, did the sound design, he didn't just type a bunch of words into a computer to generate it FOR him, like ai "artists" do. I don't have a problem with ai helping art, I have a problem with generative ai stealing art and shitting out terrible pictures so lazy assholes can claim to be artists.
The last thing I want to cover: the other user you harassed. I'm not in contact with this user since then, but because of something I did, you harass them and assume we are the same person. Why? Because I quoted them, saying "I" instead of "someone" or "they". This was a mistake, I don't quote people often. But, I DID notice this before you even pointed it out, however I kept it because when you found the post I thought "hey, maybe if he thinks I said that, they'll stay out of trouble or something" and that fucking backfired I guess. By the way the comments weren't deleted, I blocked you. You sent me some dm, which I ignored and can no longer bring up unfortunately, about how you "caught" me, because my reddit account features otherkin posts, and you said the other user does aswell, which I'm literally failing to find other than one joke post with otherkin tags??? Seriously dude, grow up. You also claimed we have similar diction, or spelling or whatever. I don't use proper grammar sometimes when I'm not trying to be serious about something. Accusing me of being another person over text-speak is fucking insane dude. You also made THIS comment, saying how you didn't care and whatever, and yet this was posted I think about a WEEK after the whole thing
"I woke up and chose violence" No dude, that term is used about being aggressive and getting shit done finally, or standing up to someone. Stuff like that. NOT harassing a MINOR for disliking your art.
I fully meant it when I said I originally had no ill will towards you, I just personally don't like your specific artstyle. But who gives a shit, huh? But now after seeing this, fuck that, FULL ill will. Seriously dude, you are an asshole. When the person with bpd tells you to fucking chill, you KNOW it's bad. In case you forgot from the top of the post, if you respond or try to drag it on beyond this, OR screenshot this and bitch about me to your followers, I am BLOCKING YOU.
See ya.
Edit: Yeah I'd also like to go on a little note to say you're also a racist scumbag. I don't fucking care if you have "black friends who let you say it" or "don't mean it in a racist way" you don't fucking get to say ANY varient of the N word, you are a WHITE MAN. It does not affect you, you cannot reclaim it, little white boy here has never heard of a micro aggression I guess. It is not possible for you to say it in a "non-racist" context because YOU'RE NOT BLACK. I never wanted you to "lose your job" you fucking made that up. Perpetual Victim Complex Jay I guess. Yeah fuck you, grown ass man.
I just woke up and I chose violence let's go.
Look all I'm sayin' is
If you're gonna attack AI generative art
You should, for the same reason, attack Toby Fox.
The reason I've seen the most for people not liking AI is that it's not "Real art" and that it "Takes jobs from artists" and that it "Steals from other artists"
Well, then, let's talk about how Hopes and Dreams by Toby Fox uses fake Violins to mimic a symphony orchestra. Toby could have hired a real orchestra but he used a fake one and y'all came in your drawers over it.
Why'd nobody ever lift a finger to cover social media in how Toby Fox doesn't deserve to make money because his song "Undertale" uses a fake guitar that sounds just like a real one? He could have hired a musician to play guitar but he didn't! That cost a REAL guitar player a job, didn't it?
And how come when it was found out that Toby Fox stole entire lietmotifs from other games like Kirby n shit, y'all had like 600,000,000 excuses to defend him?
I don't dislike Toby I think he's amazing, like 100/10, one'a the brightest examples of a success story of all time and one of the nicest most pure-hearted people on earth who made two of my favorite games of all time and a ton of my favorite music. Spider Dance has been my ring tone for like 8 years.
I'm just saying, the literal same reasons I see people attacking AI gen art is shit that Toby does, all of it, and y'all worship Toby for it but attack artists.
And neither here nor there, but hear me out?
Y'all will say you're in defense of artists keeping their jobs and their livelihoods which is so very noble of you, but if an artist draws shortstacks that are just a little too short, or if an artist utilizes AI, or if an artist draws Rose Quartz skinny, or if an artist draws Sans and Frisk getting a little too Frisky, or if an artist votes for Trump, or if an artist says a dirty word you don't like, or if an artist draws a black person that looks just a little bit too stereotypical, or if an artist draws a lesbian character getting fucked, or if an artist doesn't believe in gender identities, or if an artist doesn't put trans characters in their graphic novel, or if an artist makes a sexy character with butt-jiggle the protagonist of their video game; Y'ALL ARE COMPLETELY OKAY WITH SAYING THAT ARTIST SHOULDN'T BE MAKING MONEY, AND BANDWAGONING A HATEMONGERING BRIGADE AGAINST THEM.
Or in the Sans and Frisk case: PUT SEWING NEEDLES INSIDE OF COOKIES AND GIVE THEM TO THE ARTIST WHO DREW IT, PUTTING THEM IN THE HOSPITAL.
Listen
Spare me this "We hate AI because we care about the jobs of artists" shit, you lying scoundrels. You don't care about my job! You've tried to cancel me like 500 goddamn times, got my Patreon frozen twice, got my PayPal frozen over 100 times even right in the middle of conventions, flooded my stream chat and spammed the N-word in chat trying to get my Twitch banned, flooded my Discord multiple times with links to CP trying to get my Discord banned, and you have entire Discord servers literally called things like "Jay is an asshole" and "The We Hate Jay Society" (YEAH I KNOW YOU FUCKERS EXIST, HI, HAVE FUN SCREENCAPPING THIS).
My artistic career has been under fire for the past 12 years because I draw things y'all disagree with, have opinions you don't like, and have family members who vote for politicians you think are the boogeyman that's the cause of all your problems (and haven't disowned those family members). With all due respect, when I hear "We hate AI because we believe in fair wages for artists and want to protect the jobs of artists" I just wanna strangle your lying ass.
You hate AI because it's popular to hate AI.
AI is like a prosthetic robot arm that helps you carry the groceries, and disabled people like myself (rheumatoid arthritis) benefit from its uses greatly (such as being able to draw backgrounds much easier which has greatly improved my art and INCREASED MY COMMISSION REVENUE DUE TO MY ART QUALITY IMPROVING [But y'all don't care that AI helps artists earn more money, you hate AI because you claim it's hurting artists' ability to earn money]), but you're so hung up on people using the robot arm instead of their real arms that you think you're some crusader against injustice.
You aren't.
You're just looking for reasons to attack people, it's what you do. I've been dealing with y'all looking for any goddamn reason to attack someone that you can muster for the last 12 years, hell even before that I dealt with you types. You just want to hate, you want to be prejudiced so fucking bad that you look for literally any reason you can possibly find to make some vaguepost about how much you hate an artist and post it to Reddit, and then when you get called out, get so surprised that I found your bitch ass that you start pretending you didn't mean any ill will, and start pretending that you're someone else in the most pathetic attempt to dodge blame I've ever seen.
[Context: The OP of this post accidentally revealed who they are on Tumblr, and then when I called them out on Tumblr, they pretended they were someone else because they were scared I was gonna out them on Tumblr and they tried pathetically to cover their ass, and even politely said "I never wanted to garner hate against you" when they literally posted "I hate the way he draws women" on r/mendrawingwomen and flooded the comment section (mostly now deleted) with how "disgusting of a person" I am, while I was in the comments politely giving context to the shit he was saying about me, and he started getting furious when other people were liking my art and agreeing with me instead of him. I have like 600 screencaps of all the cringe this guy spewed, but I'm not gonna post it all because it's tangential anyway. Case in point? This guy's blog is absolutely covered with how much he hates artists for drawing things he doesn't like, and he regularly posts about how AI is taking jobs from artists. Not gonna out his blog, but that's who he is. A shining example of exactly what I'm talking about. "I hate AI because it takes jobs from artists!" "THIS MAN-THING DRAWS WOMEN IN A WAY I DON'T LIKE AND HE'S A DISGUSTING PERSON, EVERYONE JOIN ME IN HATING HIM AND TRYING TO RUIN HIS REPUTATION AND THEN WE CAN CELEBRATE WHEN HE LOSES HIS JOB!!!"]
Like, y'all can sit there and act like you're defending me and artists like me all you want, you're liars. You're boldfaced fucking liars. You are disgusting. It's completely pathetic watching you attack a tool that can be used to improve our art, and claim it's in defense of the authenticity of our art and the continued financial stability of our artistic careers. Fucking give me a break.
You're looking for people who say positive things about AI art so you can attack them and feel justified because it's popular to attack them.
All while sitting there and gladly swallowing the cum of any musician who makes amazing music with synths, fake symphony instruments and autotune.
"We care about the jobs of artists."
Yeah.
Long as those artists fall in line with your opinions and only draw things that agree with said opinions, right?
Wouldn't wanna care about the jobs of "problematic" artists who draw "offensive" stuff or vote for politicians you don't like.
Final note: This isn't even an attack against any political opinions or activism or anything like that, but I'm being realistic here because these are the people I see brigading against AI art. It's not me saying those people are dumb for having their opinions or political standpoints or being activists for their beliefs, it's me saying those people are the ones who are constantly attacking AI art in "defense of artists," while in the same breath attacking artists for not sharing their political standpoints or also being activists for the same causes. If you truly, truly cared about the livelihood of artists, you'd stop attacking artists' livelihood for disagreeing with you. Or for that matter: Any reason. Stop attacking artists' livelihood, or stop pretending you care about it. Be consistent, at least.
#I'm honestly thinking about deleting all my other posts except this one and then changing the username#I don't want my work associated with this shit
