the whole caribert quest gave me immense nier replicant vibes
#me? looking for nier vibes wherever i go? what about it#genshin spoilers#maybe? sorta#caribert reminded me so much of emil's fate#they were both just kids going through a traumatic transformation#and then having a hard time accepting their new bodies and appearances#although emil made it through because he had his friends to support and accept them#and new gained powers he literally needed and used to free kainé#but god. caribert's story really hits hard.#maybe because it really did remind me of emil's fate#it's simply unjust and cruel. for a child to be put through that.#and it just really hits right.
