my (super)ordinary life!

as some might know its about two college boys renting an apartment together(by chance) and dealing with the ghost of a Victorian boy who was murdered by his nanny. the story follows the protagonist Xavier who is a "realist" and skeptic and doesnt believe in ghosts at all. his roommate on the other hand dallas is a firm believer and a medium. the little Victorian kid Arch whos trying to get the attention of xavier due to him looking so much like his best friend in life falls short in doing so through little antics. The two go through college with unexplainable things happening(well dallas tries to tell xavier its the ghost with xavier not believing him) until xavier has enough of bad things happening and finally folds and lets dallas do whatever he needed. they go through alot to finally talk to arch(buying equipment is hard when your in college) and THEN try to solve the mystery of who killed arch, to let him feel at peace and not restless anymore

Government kids??? no name yet- haeaawdjhnThree kids (17 yr old girl, 14 yr old boy and 10 yr old boy) who are all siblings to this last group of people with magical powers end up loosing their parents due to the new government that was implemented recently. But the world for like more then a hundred years now have passed their reign over magic. now magic is only within their brightly colored hair and eyes(bald ppl dont exist). Along with some people having animalistic qualities and other- fanstay qualities. they are still so very human in the aspects of no one has magical powers but they have some extra points towards things like strength if they were a werewolf or something. (they dont change under a full moon they are stuck in the half furry state). anyways. the three kids end up trying to not get captured by the government running all over the place. they go to highschool for a time, then make friends and go to the friends house. a friend dies. some within family drama happens and the oldest sibling fights with the middle child. the oldest gets captured first. the two other siblings go with their owl caretaker(who barely shows up within the story). the youngest seems not to happy with this and escapes to a village somehow untouched by the government and learn about his herritage(somewhat hes like 10). oldest goes through hell to escape and find the middle child and the youngest. turns out hte owl turned the middle kid into the government and winter finding out oliver isnt with the middle she saves the middle and then says a brisk apology as she is on the hunt to find her baby brother. tension between winter and rodger rise but winter is preoccupied with saving oliver. oliver makes frineds with this young girl and her dad and those two help oliver go into the biggest city to try and find winter and rodger. winter and rodger are one step behind as they get into the village. rodger finds out about their family but winter couldnt care less as she is tiredlessly trying to find oliver. its way to much i know and i left out funny goofy government villans that are clear ripoffs of team rocket but in my own funny way...

(the mom sees how influcened he is to do crime but wants the best life for him. she wants him to choose after also being influenced by what their society deems as noble and good) Zero(protag) dorms with a girl(filing mess up) who is the daughter of number 1 heroic(hero system is different here too) bull's eye. on the news they find out the 3rd heroic on the ranking chart gets kidnapped by zero's mom??? and zero goes to talk with her about it as hes grown attached to the girl he dorms with and saw how upset she'd become. the mom denies it and says this was all a publicity stunt from bull's eye to gain more money and fame. zero says to out them. the mom cant. because no one will ever trust the villains. even if they did what would it do. strike fear into people that even hero's are corrupt and evil will always win? they needed to do something. zero tried to tell the girl but she couldnt believe him. they have a fight. zero ends up trying to do everything in his power to make it up to her. humiliating himself infront of the whole school(but he doesnt care). she accepts his apology and makes sure he isnt injured. he does get in trouble but thats not the point. she hears him out and admits to things shes seen as a kid ever since her parents divorced due to money problems. the premise is they have to take down the two top heroics from inside their ogranization or making them quit by them messing up every save. (prank them so hard they quit). (i dont know the ending yet akjwdnajkw) -

The Moon's craters

a bunch of billionares go to the moon(or a planet that looks like the moon whatever man) and colonize there. hundreds of years pass and the world is sci-fi and dystopian esk?? the poor live in slums and the rich live near the sky!. people who live on the moon have adapted to look different. and the story follows one poor boy on the moon. hes loved the moon but hated the system. classic. so one day he sneaks on a ship that travel's to earth. there he's traversing through earth to see if it was better then the moon. in fact it is not. its more- kingdom esk?? ever since a war that happened long ago.(they still have tech and use alot of it they just enjoy the structural build of kingdoms) protag finds a prince(after getting a job as a servant) and tells him about the moon and stuff. the prince is grossed out but interested in the rich people's fashion sense and taste. he agrees to go with. he litterally just runs away with like a shit ton of money and buys himself a ticket to the moon. goes to the moon they find out theres a war gonna happen cause they cauiught the protag "kidnapping" a prince??? protag is wanted. best friend sidekick doesnt give a fuck????:? so they get a trip to a different planet to escape it all. find out they are super underdeveloped and the moon have been taking that planet's orphans for testing!>?!?>! they rescue one orphan from a new shipment of orphans about to be sent out. (thats all i have so far lmao) -

this follows like a ground of people going about space. spaceboots SB(hes got big ass boots), SpaceGloves SG(shes got big ass gloves), Chat(robot guy who talks like zane from lego ninjao but has the brain compacity of a twitch chat), Hat(he wears hats idfk), Shirt(wears beeeeeeg shirt. the hyper cute person of the group). First of all thank you for asking🩵🩵this is gonna be a biiiiit long

My dad has this tendency to completely ignore me/stop listening and engage in another conversation while I’m talking to him (literally in the middle of a sentence)/not even try to work on things that I tell him hurt me deeply (literal confessions to him while sobbing). So basically we we’re all out to dinner yesterday (5 of us;mom dad two other sisters and I), and when we were in the car ride back home, my sister and I were joking around, and it got kinda loud. Somehow that turned into my dad starting to yell at me (bc my older sisters are never the cause of issues apparently). The gist of what he said was, “you don’t need to talk so loud and talk over ppl” I acknowledged what he said and apologized for getting loud. After I tried to explain that in general I usually do that because it feels like I’m being not listened to or talked over. Thought it would end right there, but instead he decided to make the excuse that I talk too much and no one wants to listen to me (ouch)?? Which I really don’t understand what that has to do with you blatantly looking at me while I’m talking to you and then just starting a convo in the middle of that. But that got me really mad so I was basically reiterating my point but pointing out the fact that I have NEVER been listened to my whole life whether that’s in simple conversations or big ones. I could (and have) pour my heart out to my dad and he still will do the same problems. So then my older sister (bc she likes to pretend to be my mom) interrupts me (bruh) to tell me to calm down. I was already pissed and was saying stuff like girl ur proving my point😭😭 and somewhere between all of that I started crying and my sisters started laughing at me which made it worse bc what kind of sisters laugh at their sister when she’s clearly upset?? AND WE WE’RE ALL SITTING IN THE BACKSEAT RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER. Like they couldn’t hide their loud ass laughs. Anyways my dad keeps trying to interrupt (so he can try and compare me to some radical extremist republican bc he HAS to insult his teenage daughter when he’s bordering 70…petty grown ass man) and at that point I start just proving him right by talking over him and telling him that I don’t want to talk anymore and I don’t want to hear it. The whole time my mom was trying to get them to stop talking over me but she’s only one woman so🥲🥲. Anyways idk this whole “being the youngest means ur spoiled” is soooo subjective to every family bc in mine it means ur under parented with the same expectations. It also means ur the dummy for ridiculing. Sorry for talking so much👁️👅👁️

If you really wanna know I can complain about my half brother as well who I didn’t grow up with but currently lives in the house (at 40 something years old cuz he’s an absolute asshole loser), and has made my dads attitude worse😭😭

Random newsies headcanons i haven’t gotten the chance to use in my fics or rant abt (Albert edition). This is really family relationship oriented but some are just my boy albo being albo.

Some are fluffy some are angsty. I’ll put trigger warnings in the tags. Enjoy:)

Canonically, Albert has two older brothers. I have affectionately named the first one Nathaniel and the second one Theodore

The DaSilva household strictly uses each other’s nicknames. Nathan, Theo, and Al. By simply calling their full first name means they’re in trouble or made someone mad.

So we all know it’s only the three boys and their father because their mother had died from cancer. Albert was only 10, Theodore 14, and Nathaniel 17.

Their father pretty much closed up for a good few days after the funeral, so the boys only had each other for the most part.

Mr. DaSilva (lord knows what his first name is, not me. Don’t @ me for that lolz:D) bounced back eventually bcs he is their father. And he knows the three can’t run the house on their own.

With his wife gone, the family loses another source of income. Fortunately, Mr. DaSilva was graduating law school around the time Mrs. DaSilva died.

He’s a veteran. He left the Air Force when they found out they were having Al. He worked his way up to get a law degree so he can be a law consultant. He was luckily hired in a law firm that allowed him to work from home for the most part, which means he’ll have time to look out for the kids.

Mrs. DaSilva used to work from home. She was a health consultant after not making the cut to get into any desirable pre med majors. But she still found her dream life. A loving husband and three kids.

Albert loves to reminisce on his parents relationship. It was like being in a romcom movie. Al wld never admit it out loud, but it’s his dream to find something like what they had.

Even after getting that law consultant position, Mr. DaSilva opened up a burger joint with all of his homemade recipes to make sure their income would be enough for him and his sons. And it’s always been a dream for him to open up his own restaurant.

Nathan helps out as well being his father’s business partner. He first joined the air force, following his dad’s footsteps, but left when he found out his wife (affectionately named Olivia) is pregnant with their second child. He went to business school to further his knowledge.

The DaSilva brothers handled the grief of their mother’s death in different ways. Nathan kept himself busy. Too busy sometimes. Theo got addicted to drugs. He doesn’t usually get easily persuaded to do anything he doesn’t want to, even by his own friends, but that grief really struck him pretty bad. As for our boy Al, he pretty much concealed all of his feelings. Thinking that if he didn’t feel it, he won’t have to deal with it.

(Boy that was angsty. In my head that fits well so again don’t @ me)

But Albert actually grew to learn that his way of grieving isn’t healthy. He learned that from his friends, albeit not the most well informed ppl in the world since they are still kids. It mostly went like ‘i think it’s better for you to talk abt it’

Bcs like, he fell into a depressive period months after his mother’s funeral. He went to therapy to help him out.

Racer was the one who actually convinced him to get help. They met in the third grade and have been inseparable ever since

His family had noticed the change after Al went to therapy. Bcs when he was still numbing himself from after the funeral, he lost the light of joy in him. Which is odd bcs between the four of them Albert was always the most cheerful one, since he is the youngest.

The family was more than glad they got the old Albert back. Puberty might have rocked with his emotions but he still has the tiniest naive nature that brings the family together.

Always reminiscing on the days they shared with their mother, smiling at all the things that reminded him of her, and frequently getting the family to visit her grave.

Not even his dad wanted to visit for awhile, not wanting to cry in front of his boys. Despite all three of his boys knows full well how much he feels abt it

Mr. DaSilva never got married again. He’s content with the life he had when their mother was alive and what comes after that. Especially when he got around to actually handling that grief with a proper therapist.

He also got that push from when he found out Theodore fell into addiction. He overdosed and Albert found him just in time and it shook him real good.

(Idk why i think this is all so fitting for the family but yeah don’t question too much into it lol)

So through grief of his mother’s passing and guilt of his brother’s addiction, it’s safe to say Albert isn’t in a good place for quite awhile. Especially seeing that he’s growing to be a teen yaknow. He ended up continuing therapy for more than just that grief.

Luckily he’s got great friends. As mentioned before, he met Racetrack in the third grade. But he also met Hotshot and Spot in middle school. That was when his family had to move to Brooklyn for a year to stay at a relatives’ house, seeing that they weren’t really financially stable.

But by the time high school came around, he was back in Manhattan and met the rest of the newsies there. Albert is still close friends with Spot and Hotshot though.

The new friend group he gained in high school helped him out a lot. He’s got a bit of a low self esteem yknow, but his friends are great help.

They’re also a great support system seeing that his home life isn’t entirely rainbows and sunshine for a good while. The older he got, the more he understood things, and the more depressing things just seems

Theodore isn’t necessarily doing great either. After that OD, he struggled to stay clean despite his promises to the family. It sorta ripped the family apart, with Nathaniel and their father fighting with him over it.

It wasn’t pretty with Nathaniel and his wife Olivia either. Nathan likes to be kept busy. Whether it’s the family owned restaurant, the Air Force, family shit, or his business school. She felt a bit neglected and had to raise their first born daughter on her own, so yeah that’s fucking stressful.

So this gives a reason for Albert to get out of the house and go to their house. As a way to escape the shitshow and to also play with his niece. He’s a great uncle yall. He was surprised by himself that he even likes kids in the first place.

Olivia also became like an actual sister. Or how Albert would call her, Via. They grew quite close. Maybe because Albert misses his mother, or that he misses having a family that got along.

In Olivia’s place, he could just pretend that the family he had there was the only family he got. A loving older sister and a cute baby sister. You could imagine how overjoyed he was when he found out another baby was coming.

Out of all of his friends, Racetrack was the only one who knew the most abt his home life. In competition with Hotshot and Spot, and he got the upper hand because Race lives a lot closer.

Race wonders often why Albert just never said anything about his true feelings to the family. Which he could, seeing that he doesn’t like taking other ppl’s shit. Albert knows if he joins in the fight, it’d just get worse. And it already is seeing that the family still sees him as a baby brother.

He keeps himself busy for the most part. Doing regular teenager things. Getting okay-ish grades and joining his school’s basketball team. His father wanted him to join the football team, but Albert despises football with a passion.

Every year for the NFL, Albert’s family hosts a big get together. He always makes an exaggerated point of how much he doesn’t care abt the damn sport but still goes for the food. And also the rest of his family will find it rude if he isn’t there.

His immediate family knows and doesn’t mind ofc regarding his hate for football. They think it’s quite funny how he pisses off a lot of the uncles by doing absolutely anything else other than watching the NFL during those get togethers.

So yeah, Albert still deeply loves his family. It’s partly bcs of his mom. She was very family oriented. Loved freely and unapologetically.

He’s definitely a mother’s boy compared to his brothers. But obv he still loves his father dearly.

It’s even on his face. Nathan and Theo look more like their father whilst Albert, though shares the same face genes as Mr. Dasilva, carries the soft shapes and edges of his mother. He even inherited his mother’s acne prone skin which he found out when he hit puberty.

His father told him it’s natural to get acne, seeing that he’s in his hormonal teen phase. Yet Albert still feels insecure. His face is ridden with a lot more acne than most of his school friends when he was in middle school and sometimes get made fun of for it.

So he grew to learn about skincare for that sole reason. He’s always trying new brands to see what goes well for his skin.

Al has always been close with his brothers, but notably Theo. Nathan always felt a bit absent since he’s always keeping himself busy. His wife can tell him that (dw they eventually work things out hehe).

Which is why it was earth shattering when he OD’d. It’s a lot worse when Al found out Theo didn’t have any intentions in staying clean after going through rehab.

Ever since they found out about his addiction, as mention before, it kinda tore their family up. Especially his relationship with Nathan.

Nathan is known to be more strict and bu the rule type of guy and Theo felt like he was being controlled by him after being released from rehab.

But he did end up getting clean. Slowly but surely with his own method by slowly phasing it out. His father and Al were really supportive, but Nathan isn’t entirely on board after him rebelling against him.

Theo ended up going to college and getting a degree in statistics and became a data analyst. He works remotely and lives in a van because he likes to travel and go on roadtrips.

Albert likes Theo the most for those reasons, and also because he is around the most. He thinks he’s so cool and has always been by his side the most.

Albert also ended up convincing hus dad to adopt two big dobermans before he entered high school. Two girls, Zoe and Zara, and they started out as small pups.

Then they turn into two big dogs in no time. He and his father trained them together and they became very well behave dogs. He loves them dearly.

We still dropping drama?

Cause there is only one thing stronger then my aunt’s contempt of my father, and that is the deep seeded obligation to family she was raised with.

When I was 12, one of my brothers (not rlly, but that’s what we called each other, one of those close fam friends situations) died. He drowned in a canal after getting stuck in the muck at the bottom during a police chase, apparently he and his friends broke into a house, they were all on suspension from school, and this is the catalyst for me questioning disciplinary systems.

Cause out of school suspension as a disciplinary action doesn’t make sense, and is often just the school pushing the problem to the side. It also puts an unnecessary burden on parents who work full time, and doesn’t really address the problem.

He was also dark skinned, so there is a part of me that sees what happened as the end result of a collection of actions executed by a system not built to help but to hurt.

But that’s not what this is about.

This is about the shit my dad pulled after the funeral.

My Aunt T, is my father’s youngest sister. There’s an eleven year difference between them. My father also has a narcissistic streak at least as long as my lifetime, prob longer, seeing as my mom’s cat hated him.

Aunt T was the adult closest to my brother, I didn’t really see what happened, cause I was 12 at the time and basically crashed after the service. She was real messed up over the whole thing, I mean that side of the family bottles everything up until they can’t anymore but even to ppl who didn’t rlly know her she was obviously falling apart.

Anyway, we’re at her apartment, it’s supposed to be all of us comforting each other, specifically her getting support from the rest of us. But, eventually my dad says smth to the effect of, “Is this what you’ll do when [Note] gets older? Just drop them for some younger cuter kid?”

Obviously this is fucked up on multiple levels.

This man is berating his emotionally compromised and grieving baby sister.

He’s accusing her of filling in a void of childlessness. Both just down right demeaning, and prodding at the fact my Aunt T can’t have biological children

I was woken up a bit after this happened by my mom and her sisters and shuffled out of the apartment not rlly understanding what was going on. But I eventually noticed that Aunt T and dad would avoid each other like the plague.

They’ve seen each other since, they’ve even gone to family events at the same time. She obviously grins and bears his presence, and while I play nice for my own monetary gain, the day he goes, is the day a new public restroom opens.

(Also I 1000% agree with you regarding out of school suspension. There isn’t really a good way to “punish” kids in school imo, you’re either kicking them out of class which means they don’t learn or keeping them after class (or making them come in before class) which is inconvenient if not impossible for parents vis a vis providing transportation that would otherwise be taken care of. Idk education in the US sucks. Also acab)

TRIGGER WARNINGS : DOMESTIC ABUSE, CHILD ABUSE, LOSS OF A SIBLING, ANGER ISSUES, BODY PERCEPTION ISSUES.

Natsuo is loyal.  Literally he loves his family so much. like between natsuo and fuyumi, fuyumi has the stronger quirk 100%. Natsuo HAS an ice quirk but he can only freeze things that fit into the palm of his hand...so all he does is make the cola nice and cold before his siblings drink it.

So Natsuo wants to be a family practice doctor and he wants to do outreach work. Pretty much his coping mechanism with being ignored and hating being home is he threw himself really hard into studies, and just did his HW all night in his room. To tune out the yelling anf the negligence. He got good enough grades where he got into University of Tokyo which is good but like basically he almost didn't go bc like. 

his relationship w enji is nonexistent. He was an immediate failure in his eyes, he literally SAID enji didn't look him in the eye ever until recently....he never rly saw him or hung around him. and then like. by the time touya was starting to rly get shit / by the time he was "dead" and shouto got burned and rei got sent away natsuo was only five or so. So to Natsuo? enji was just the guy who lived in his house and ruined his life basically. he hated him. he didn't love him at all. He’s hated him since he was a small child. NATSUO WILL NEVER FORGIVE ENJI AND HAS NO DESIRE TO.

Me and Inad have discussed it but  because  fuyumi is the only girl, Natsuo is the true middle child. The one who was never looked at or spoken to by Enji. And FUCK ENDEAVOR STANS for saying otherwise, but natsuo ISN’T “the only child who wasn’t abused” or the one who “should be the least angry”. Negligence IS child abuse. 

As a kid, Natsuo had a stutter. He acted like a baby for a long time. He was also chubby as a kid -- ate a lot to cope. He was always bigger than Touya, and it continues into adulthood --- Natsuo is now. thick / buff. He was a chubby kid growing up, but now he works out and has muscle however he still also stress eats bc premed is hard and gains like 15 pounds during the school year, then loses it during breaks. it's just the way his body is. This is relevant because Natsuo does have extremely low self esteem -- he thinks he’s very plain looking, that his body is big and awkward and ugly (I have him as growing to be 6′6″ at his full height, taller than Enji), and it all stems from Enji’s negligence. At his core, because of his father, Natsuo believes there is absolutely nothing special about him and that physically and personally he is a worthless person.

Natsuo has anger issues unfortunately (as we’ve seen) but does judo to let it out. tbh he storms out of the house a lot because he doesn’t want fuyumi to see him fucking lose it.

me and inad discussed this but but natsuo HAS put a hole in the wall before and Like he was maybe 15 when that happened. it scared the shit out of fuyumi and he felt so upset he literally like. ran away for two days and when he came back he cried rly hard and promised she would never see him lose his temper like that again, so he storms out so she doesn't see him angry.  It was the summer before he started high school and as soon as he got into high school he started getting into judo and joined the club for it and that's been his outlet ever since. And whenever he storms out of the house it’s to go do that.  He's ashamed of reminding her of endeavor somehow. he knows he’s got enji’s hairstyle and body type, and that contributes to why he hates his appearance so much.

The reason he never brings his S/O around his house is honestly that... he doesn’t like himself when he’s home. ppl love 2 say natsuo has the least right to be mad because enji didn't "abuse him" but don't realize negligence is abuse. it's literally classified as abuse. he was literally born thinking his dad felt he was a disappointment to the point where he didn't talk to him or let him talk to his youngest brother and it HAS an effect on him. natsuo has a lot of self perception issues, he thinks he's ugly and he panics if he doesn't do things perfectly in school and just. is very easily made to feel inferior and puts himself down. he doesn't consider himself special at all. He believes he lacks intrinsic worth as a human being.

Natsuo only went to college after his sister told him to go and do what he wanted to do…I promise you he was going to not go at all and was going to stay home with her until she told him she wanted him to go. BECAUSE natsuo doesn't rly consider enji a member of the family at all, natsuo has this goofy lil quirk where he thinks he's the "man of the house" even tho he asks fuyumi for help with basic things!!! most of the time it's funny but it's honestly just him being protective of her. And natsuo does cope with some perceptions of toxic masculinity --- he’s NOT abusive at all himself, but he’s goofy in the sense that he thinks he has to be the New man of the house, has to take care of his sister, has to never cry or show weakness, all because he’s male.

ENJI TAKES NO PART IN PAYING FOR NATSUO’S TUITION. He doesn’t even agree to go until Fuyumi insists she will use her own money to pay for it, and Natsuo works and studies because he wants to pay her back for every cent someday. Endeavor DOES NOT EVEN KNOW natsuo’s current address or which exact school he attends. natsuo wants it that way, but it’s also important to note that Enji never bothered asking.

Honestly Natsuo and Fuyumi probably argue a lot about endeavor, But that’s okay because they still love each other. Natsuo knows fuyumi puts everyone above herself and rly wants her to be happy, which is why.......frankly.....he’s glad kenta barreled into their lives. Because he’s like this is something Just For Her and I hope she likes him and it works out.

continuing on natsuo hates heroes and he hates his dad and frankly if he had a strong enough quirk he would have probably become like dabi. he really would have and he truly hates endeavor that much.

Natsuo doesn't forgive endeavor, doesn't fuck with him, and blames him for everything that went wrong in his family. He honestly wants him to die! and he HATES the hero industry bc a literal monster like his father is praised and rewarded and they HELPED COVER UP TOUYA'S DEATH!!!!

and like with natsuo + touya.... time for pain. “Touya told me everything” / “I still hear his voice constantly” ... i think about those quotes always every time i think of natsuo. natsuo was the closest with touya and I truly believe that. He loved him more than anything . He really loved touya so much and he never got over losing him. 

kinda like inad hcs fuyumi saw shouto in the kitchen, i think natsuo saw touya last bc the way he describes touya telling him.... natsuo is shaking when he says it like. That shit traumatized him. And he’s just so angry. He did not leave touya. They had to PRY NATSUO OFF OF HIM. Because natsuo is loyal. 

like me and inad hc that fuyumi wouldn’t tell Natsuo where rei was for years because she knew even at 9 years old, he would have snuck on a bus to see her. Natsuo is so loyal to his family he loves them so much. He would have done anything for them. He wouldn’t have left Touya. He wouldn't have let touya go without him there. Not anywhere he couldn’t follow. Not even as a child.

and natsuo would NEVER be able to juxtapose that dabi isn't touya. I think the first time he saw Touya he would know but it wouldn’t be like. An instant look. He’s probably seen clips of some of the shit he’s done on tape and it’s always given him this unsettling feeling. But then he looks in his eyes...and he knows his eyes.

I always picture it like Natsuo forgetting however dangerous the surrounding is and chasing after him, he doesn’t even know why he’s running; he knows he wouldn’t stand a chance against him. But he sounds like a child again when he says “Touya?”. He sounds like the annoying, chubby little brother that followed him everywhere. And yeah, he would simply need that confirmation that Touya is alive to take his side because he knows more than fuyumi did. Simply seeing him alive again, and I think he’d know EXACTLY what Dabi wanted to do with Enji.

Dabi trying to scare Natsuo and Natsuo just “Touya cut it out talk to me” / “Touya I’m on your side” and it’s because Natsuo could never EVER see Dabi as a monster once he knows it’s Touya.  I don’t think he could ever feel fear based simply on the fact that he loved him that much. Touya was his favorite sibling he followed him around like a puppy and copied everything he did. 

Touya is the sibling he was closest to and i think the same in reverse since Natsuo is the one Touya vented to. I think fuyumi was probably really shocked when they were kids and Natsuo would suddenly say he hated enji. that he wished he was dead. She’d gasp and be like "Natsuo!"

But he’s HATED HIS GUTS since he was a little kid. He didn’t grow to resent him either. He basically didn’t care about him/was afraid of him when he was super super young, but the moment touya’s quirk didn’t work out and he was like what, 7-10? I’d say like 7 or 8 when shit started just Not Working. Natsuo was probably 4 or 5 when his own quirk manifested and was weak. Had this initial “why doesn’t dad like me” phase, but Touya just told him once something endeavor did to him or why his skin is starting to scar, and Natsuo instantly went from fear to hate. There was no build he simply hated him from that moment on. That’s how loyal he is!

He said he hated endeavor for the first time when he was five, but anyway i think a lot abt how natsuo like.... has the least ties w them all. That's why I say he’s a true middle child because he doesn’t have anything he’s good at that binds him to the family or makes him especially important to anyone. Like...he CARES about and loves shouto of course but i think if fuyumi weren't there natsuo wouldnt be in the picture at all. He just wouldn’t talk to them. Especially before he started talking to shouto? Absolutely. After now that he talks to him he would definitely stay to hang around him but before?

unfortunately because enji KEPT SHOUTO AWAY FROM THEM i think about how natsuo probably had what inasa felt where he saw shouto's eyes and saw endeavor and like. kept up that distance because of the trauma (tm) and i think when shouto got some friends and got out the house he tried talking to natsuo and natsuo was like "wait...me? you're...talking to me?" and like as soon as shouto started trying to talk to him he was rly receptive and was like shit i have 15 yrs of info to catch up on. 

but i rly think that's their relationship bc he literally didn't even know what kinda food shouto liked until now?? but he loves himand has become instantly very protective of him and once again things that because he’s the big brother he HAS to teach him things and be his “positive figure” and frankly I think shouto feels a little thrill whenever natsuo openly shittalks their father because out of all of them natsuo IS the one who hates him the most openly.

New Fic - Right Where You Belong

Summary: Based on Twitter ramblings from Keelywolfe, Nanenna, myself, and many others!

Edge is the older brother here, only a teenager himself and living on the streets with Red when he's invited by Rus to stay at his place with his dad and younger brother. He can watch the kids while Rus goes to work at the lab with Gaster! It's perfect! And it is, for a while, until one day the kids get into a fight and Blue gets hurt.

As much as Edge wants to comfort the kids and make sure everything is okay, he can't help but wonder what's going to happen when Rus and Gaster get home. Will he and his brother lose their warm, safe home?

Notes: This has been stuck in my head ever since this morning when it was talked about on Twitter. It had to be written!

One quick note here, Edge and Rus are the same age, about sixteen or so. Rus can't do much at the lab, but enough to earn a bit of cash to help out with the bills.

Stars, he was tired. He hadn’t slept well the night before because his baby brother hadn’t slept well, and all Edge wanted was a damn nap that he wasn’t likely to get anytime soon seeing as how he was the only one in the house to watch the two younger kids.

Which, admittedly, he wasn’t doing a very good job of at the moment. But they were fine; they were in Blue’s room playing while Edge attempted to keep his sockets open in the living room. He was listening, though, and they seemed to be playing some sort of superhero game, both of them being the heroes while several of Blue’s stuffed animals played the bad guys. It was honestly cute, even if they were both a bit grouchy today.

To top it off, neither of the toddlers had taken a nap. Edge had honestly expected Red to pass right the heck out since he’d barely slept the night before, but no, he was chattering to himself the whole hour while Blue sang himself lullabies.

It wasn’t much of a surprise when their play turned a bit sour, their gentle squabbling over which villain was going to get their butt handed to them next turning into an all-out argument complete with raised voices and name-calling.

Edge really should have gotten up to check on them and help them calm down fifteen minutes ago. He shouldn’t have let it go on so long, but he was so tired!

Red screeching in anger got Edge to his feet in a hurry. He made it to the doorway of Blue’s room just in time to see Red throw a toy at Blue. It hit him square in the face with enough force to knock him down and smack the back of his head on another toy.

Blue was immediately in tears, screaming in both pain and anger as Edge rushed over to check him. Edge’s soul began to pound as Blue sat up and marrow dripped from nasal aperture. There was the tiniest of cracks on the left side, close to his socket.  

Edge’s mind began to race at the sight of the crack. He could only barely remember how he’d gotten the vast majority of his scars, but he knew they all hurt when they were fresh.

“i didn’t mean to!” Red hollered, running up to them.

Blue kicked at him, screaming again and barely missing his knee by a few inches.

Edge pulled his little brother back, away from potential harm by Blue’s flailing feet. “I know, Red, but you can’t throw things like that!”  He turned his attention back to Blue. “Shhh, it’s okay, Blue,” he said softly. “You’re okay; let’s get you cleaned up, okay?” He helped Blue to his feet. “Red, I want you to stay here and think about what you’ve done while I help Blue.”

Red sniffled and nodded, his gaze on his feet. Edge so wanted to scoop him up and remind him that these things happened but he needed to try to control himself a little better. He didn’t have time; he had to get Blue at least cleaned up before Rus and Gaster got home.

Thinking of Rus and Gaster only made his soul pound harder. Gaster was a great father, very kind and attentive to his two boys, and Rus was the kind of older brother Edge so wished he could be. The fact that Gaster even let Edge and Red stay in their home spoke to the kind of man he was, even if Edge did work for his stay. He cooked and cleaned and cared for the children, but he’d do it all four times over if Gaster asked it of him.

He set a still-sobbing Blue on the counter by the kitchen sink and turned on the faucet to wet a paper towel. After wringing it out one-handed, he tried to gently wipe at Blue’s face. Blue screeched louder and pushed Edge’s hand away.

“Hey, hey, it’s okay, Blue,” he said gently. “I’m not going to hurt you, buddy, but I need to get you cleaned up so I can see if you need a healer.” Stars, he hoped Blue wouldn’t need a healer.

Blue whined and looked up at Edge with bright, starry eye lights, but he nodded and let Edge do what had to be done. Gently dabbing the smeared marrow away, Edge could finally see the extent of the crack. It didn’t go through his bone like the one in Edge’s socket, thank goodness. It was only on the outer surface of the bone, but that surely didn’t mean it hurt any less.

It had stopped bleeding finally and soon Edge had the little guy all cleaned up. He took him to change his clothes and then set the boys in different rooms for time out, which only resulted in more screaming from children who were adamant that they were okay now and wanted to play. Red even kicked at him just before he shut the door to their shared room.

Both kids in time out, their muffled cries still echoing through the house, Edge found himself in the bathroom and locked the door. Sitting on the floor by the bathtub, he drew his knees up and let his head fall between them. He tried to wrap his arms around his head to block out the sound, but it was hopeless. Even among the cries from frustrated children, Edge could hear the memory of Blue’s painful screaming.

He was going to have a bruise, that was certain. Even if the crack were somehow miraculously healed by the time Blue’s father and older brother came home, there was no way to hide what had happened.

Guilt twisted in Edge’s soul. Would he really have tried to hide it? What kind of person was he? Gaster trusted him with his youngest child, and that was how he was going to repay his kindness? No, he had to be honest and let the chips fall as they may.

A tight sob forced its way out of Edge’s chest. He knew exactly how the chips were going to fall. This was all his fault, and if Gaster was even a fraction as smart as Edge knew him to be, he and his brother would be back out on the streets by tonight.

If it were only Edge himself, he could handle that. He’d made a mistake and he’d pay the price. What was killing him now wasn’t what he was going to lose. No, it was that his baby brother was going to have to pay that price right along with him. Red didn’t belong on the streets. He deserved to have a filling meal each night and a warm, safe place to sleep.

If there was a way to ask Gaster to please keep Red here, he’d do it, but he couldn’t. He didn’t know if it was selfishness or the knowledge that Red could be a handful, but he would not ask Gaster to care for his brother.

The sudden vibration of his phone in his pocket made him jump. He hurried to his feet and pulled out to silence the blaring alarm.

He swore under his breath and went to the sink to try to clean up. Rus and Gaster would be home within the hour, and he hadn’t even started anything for dinner.

Splashing some water on his face only marginally helped, but it was enough to calm the panic still aching in his chest. A few deep breaths later, he opened the door and went to let the kids know they could be free from time out.

Except both their doors were open and the two were playing quietly together in Blue’s room. He stood in the doorway and folded his arms across his chest.

“What are you two doing out of time out?” he asked, eyeing the both of them. The discoloration of a bruise was already starting to bloom around Blue’s left eye.

“You were in the bathroom crying for a long time,” Blue said sadly. “Are you okay?”

Stars, he was going to miss that kid.

“Yeah, I’m okay. Are you both going to be good now or do I need to separate you again?”

This time it was Red who answered. “we’re being good. i even said i was sorry.”

Well, that was something, at least. “Good. I’m going to start dinner.”  Hopefully he’d have enough time to at least enjoy it with the family.

Learning to cook had been an experience Edge would never forget. He loved being able to craft tasty dinners and treats, and having a stocked kitchen like he did here made it easy to decide on something to make. At least, most of the time. Now, as Edge surveyed the cupboards, he couldn’t think of a single thing. Nothing seemed good enough. The kids, and probably Rus, would go for something simple like chili dogs or chicken strips, but if this was going to be the last real dinner Red was going to have for a while, Edge wanted to make it count.

He still hadn’t been able to decide on anything by the time the door opened. Edge closed his eyes and gripped the side of the counter behind him to keep his balance as Blue shrieked in joy and went running down the hall.

“Daddy!” he cried, just like every day when Gaster and Rus got home, and Edge could imagine Gaster scooping him up just like always.

“Hello, there!” Gaster’s voice called out happily. “How are--oh my! What happened to your socket?”

“Red threw a toy at me.”

Edge hurried out to the living room to try to explain.

Gaster looked up at him, concern on his scarred features. “Hello, Edge,” he said calmly.

“It was my fault,” Edge admitted. “I wasn’t watching them as carefully as I should have. I promise you, Red has been punished.” He wouldn’t say that all he’d gotten was time out. He swallowed, suddenly hoping neither Gaster nor Rus would ask.

Red peeked around the corner, and Edge’s soul hurt at the expression on his tiny face. He had hoped and prayed so many times that Red wouldn’t remember what they’d been through before living on the streets, but that expression told him otherwise. Even if he didn’t remember specifics, he knew enough.

“i said i was sorry,” Red said softly, more a confession than a defiant statement.

To Edge’s surprise, Rus went over and kneeled down by Red. “of course you’re sorry, buddy. we don’t mean to hurt our friends, but sometimes we get cranky and it happens, right?”

Red nodded and reached out with both arms, a silent request for a hug. Rus scooped him up and hugged him tightly.

“are you okay?” Rus asked, bouncing Red lightly in his arms.

Red nodded, and the urge to pull him out of Rus’ arms was nearly overwhelming. Edge forced himself to stay where he was.

“And you?” Gaster asked, looking at Edge. “Are you okay?”

Him? “I--”

“He cried for a long time,” Blue said sadly. “But I couldn’t hug him because the door was locked.”

Edge swallowed thickly, his cheekbones heating up.

“Which door was locked?” Gaster asked curiously, an undertone of something perhaps more serious.

“The bathroom,” Blue replied. “He was in the bathroom.”

Tattletale.

Edge sucked in a breath and let it out slowly. He had to clear his throat before he could speak. “They weren’t alone for too long, Sir--I mean, Gaster.”

In truth, Edge had no idea how long they were alone. Probably more than an hour, which was entirely too long.

Gaster bent to put Blue down and then settled a hand on Rus’ shoulder. “Will you take the little ones to play for a moment? I’d like to have a word with Edge.”

Rus must have agreed because he coaxed the kids down the hall with promises of the best blanket fort in the world.

“Edge? Come sit down with me.”

Gaster didn’t touch him, not exactly. He reached out and almost set a hand on his shoulder like he did with his own son, stopping just before making contact. Edge only nodded and went with him to the living room. He knew what was going to happen next, and while he wasn’t prepared, he knew it was inevitable. It had been from the beginning.

They sat on the couch together, Gaster folding his hands in his lap.

“First and foremost, I want to assure you that I understand how you feel. Maybe not exactly, but close enough. I understand that bad days happen, especially when children are cranky. I can tell from Blue’s eyes that he didn’t nap today, and I’d say from what I saw of Red’s face that it was the same with him?”

Edge nodded, his gaze kept firmly on his knees.

“You’ve handled them so well, Edge, that I have no doubts you handled the situation today with care and love.”

That time Edge shook his head. He had to be honest. “No, I didn’t. They were alone in the bedroom and I didn’t even get up to check on them until they started arguing.”

“Why is that a bad thing?” Gaster asked.

Edge looked at him then, a little surprised. “Because I know how Red is. He’s got a temper when he’s well-rested, and today he was not.”

But Gaster smiled. “You’re right, he does have a temper. But that doesn’t mean you have to be there every moment to stop him from lashing out. What he needs is to learn that his actions have consequences and to understand that only he can control his anger.”

“But Blue--”

“Got hurt. Yes, he did, but that’s not your fault either. Not entirely. What I’m saying, Edge, is that I’m not going to kick you out or ask you to leave. Red needs a stable environment to learn how to control his temper, and you need a safe place to help teach him.”

Edge felt the tears begin to form in his sockets and tried to blink them away. He looked at Gaster for a moment before he could ask his next question.

“Why are you being so kind to us?”

Gaster smiled again, soft and comforting. “I know a thing or two about living on the streets, Edge. I never had a little brother to care for, though, and I can’t, in good conscience, let the two of you go back to that life.”

Edge nodded slowly, trying to wrap his mind around this new perspective. He and Red weren’t going to be homeless again. He sucked in a deep breath and let it out slowly.

“I didn’t start dinner,” he finally said.

“Well, that’s a different story then, isn’t it?” Gaster said, a tease in his voice. “I suppose punishment will have to be cooking with me.”

“Oh no,” Edge deadpanned, “please, not that.”

He couldn’t hide a smile in the face of Gaster’s laughter, and together they went to the kitchen to prepare dinner.

this is stinky, u all know her from her blog @stinkysuggest. naughty and loves to throw tantrums and beat up her family bc she get into moods. she follows me everywhere and is the BABY despite not being the youngest anymore. she cries if shes not allowed in a room im in & she is still jealous of fox and hates when other ppl touch me bc i am HER MOM and she will DEFEND. she lays on fox now, though if im laying w her and on my side. must be close to mom at all times

khoshekh is stinky’s brother from the litter before her. he is whiney and a cissy baby but is full of lov. he loves drinking water from the faucets and cries until u turn them on. he also loves playing string and will bring it to you and yell until u play with him. then when he’s done he’ll pull it out of ur hands and take his string elsewhere.also loves brunettes and likes going thru leg tunnels or behind ur back when ur leaning on something

this is bebe, she’s the oldest and everyones mom, even mine. shes also my familiar and is one of the last living cats from my first ever cat..shes unspayed so we can hopefully continue the lineage one day hbhbhbh. often found cuddling with khoshekh who thinks she is his gf

tempura is be’s great niece and nutmegs daughter. she is shy and nervous but loves to cuddle and be pet. im hoping the move to the new house will help her come out of her shell when everyone is on equal unfamiliar ground

Juno is tempy’s niece (pinecone’s daughter) and nutmegs granddaughter. she is a gremlin menace who only lives in my room bc shes a secret. she loves being held and cuddled but also knocking over everything you love. and eating shirts?? she also loves playing fetch w her crinkle ball and will sometimes just bring it to u and drop it on u if she wants to play and is bored

nutmeg is be’s niece and is the new mama cat. she is full of love and so friendly. she loves to lick and chew on hands and will claw u if u try to take ur hand away. she loves her babies and has been a surrogate mother twice.shes my baby and has the prettiest green eyes in the entire world

Cinnamon is one of nutmeg’s surrogate daughters and juno’s littermate. shes nutmegs actual grandaughter and tempy’s niece. only me and my grandma can touch her & she hisses as a greeting instead of meows akjhfkjasf. she loves her adoptive brother so much too.

one of my aunts found cloves tied up in a plastic bag in a dumpster. nutmeg is his adoptive mother and he loves his found family so much. hes very vocal about his love and also loves every human in the world despite one being so cruel to him. hes really the sweetest boy and a puffball with a still triangle kitten tail akshfaksjf. he also just looks like a little man which is great

mommom is also one of our mama cats. she showed up on our back porch one day and ended up having four kittens (roxy and khoshekh’s litter) then my mom put her back outside bc she “wasnt our problem” and she got pregnant again and had stinky’s litter, in our house akjsfhkjasf shes a mostly inside cat now AND spayed and spoiled. the orange kitties were all MINE but i couldnt take her when i moved, so she stayed at home & attached to my dad since i wasnt there anymore. she gets very confused when she hears me on calls and cant find me

roxy is khoshekh’s littermate and is chubby and stubby. shes sweet and round and loving, but had to be sent home due to her beating up tempy way too often and kinda traumatizing her hbhbhb i miss her every day though and i know khoshekh does too, she did the same thing mommom did after being seperated from me and latched onto my mother instead. they each follow theyre respective parents around and are very clingy kajhsfkas

i have 2 more but tumblr wouldnt let me add more pics bc its garbage but its blacky, one of mama cat’s first litters. hes large and IN CHARGE. hes between 15-17 yrs old but is immortal. he has shown no signs of getting old except for joint pain. blacky is eternal. he still stalks the other cats to prove he’s boss. the last is big gu, a stubby and round torti i got when i first moved to florida. she hates all otehr cats except blacky, but loves all humans unconditionally jkadhfka. shes a little strange though, so couldnt come with me when i moved bc we figured itd be too hard on her mentally

leo visited manhattan a lot but he drove his dad fcking crazy, his junior year of high school his mom kicked him out for shaving his youngest brother’s head in his sleep and he only stayed in manhattan for 6 months before setting fireworks off in the bathroom of the Prestigious School his dad sent him to thinking it wld help (it didn’t) and getting sent back to tallahassee (where he did the same thing bt his mom cares less so KSDHGKLHSDG)

then he lived there for a year when he was 21, he OD’ed and his mom couldn’t rly handle seeing him like that and his dad was convinced he could like . Fix Him but he put his pet snake into his dad’s wife’s purse knowing she was like fcking deathly afraid so finally he got kicked out fr good LKSDHGHDGKL

he cldnt go back to tallahassee bc he eventually had a warrant for his arrest in florida but he also cldnt afford living on his own and after his aunt and uncle lost their only child they happily took him in, they’d always been pretty weird themselves so they didn’t mind and leo stayed w them a lot during the summer

he never talks about it but the death of his cousin finn rly kinda fucked him up they were more brothers than he was w his actual siblings /:

they own Fowler’s Flowers, a pretty big flower store that also has an outlet on lockwood’s campus and one or two other small locations

he lowkey loves the job tbh like it’s better than nothing and it’s not some boring desk job that he wld rather drop dead than having plus it helps his aunt and uncle pay fr his schooling (definitely cldnt get a scholarship pats his somewhat dumb head)

Sorry about this Rant

OMG Covid is awful. I’m so sick right now and my family is in shambles for the Holiday. Especially my mom....she suffers from depression like my brothers and I and between her job and covid the holiday was a disaster.

She’s a nurse in a nursing home that is currently going through a surge of covid cases. She had dozens of coworkers out sick (1 died) and a whole wing of covid patients....people she loves and has cared for for years....and they’re understaffed so she’s been moved exclusivley to the covid wing. She’s watched several of these people die heartbreakingly unnecessary deaths and is so exhausted emotionally and physically. And the ONE thing that usually cheers her up was impossible this year. 

My mom is one of those people that ADORES Christmas. She always takes a week off in December to decorate our house and she’s accumulated so much stuff from tag sales and the Goodwill since before I was born that our house usually looks like a Christmas store. Christmas music and light are on all day and we always go big on presents no matter how broke we are....we’ll save all year if needed because it’s like the only thing my mom is so passionate about. She even trades all her other off holidays to her friends at her work to get Christmas off every year. It’s IMPORTANT to her....and it’s just not Christmas without it. 

But this year she had to give up her vacation to work extra shifts, watch people she loves die needlessly and in numbers she’s just not accustomed to, and when she was out of work she was too tired to shop or decorate....and then...

...She got sick. The last week before Christmas she came down with covid, gave it to my whole family...except for my brother Jeff who lives on his own....and thus we spent Christams sick in quarantine with out decorations or presents or cheer...without groceries or money (because my dad lost 3 jobs to ppl who canceled on him because of covid)...and we can’t even see my brother. Oh and my youngest two brothers have ADHD and are failing their classes because remote learning is just not good for them...they need hands on aid. 

But at least we’re all beating it...we were worried about my dad (he has diabetes and very high blood pressure problems) and my big brother (who smokes a pack and a half a day and has hep C) but they’re handling it. So I’m told I should be grateful....grateful that even though my mom and I know several people that died...it wasn’t us or our family....just people we loved. I should be grateful that at least we can be together for Christmas....presents and decorations aren’t important as long as we’re together....well we can’t see Jeff though but we facetimed him. 

But doesnt make my depressed mom who feels like she let us all down by getting us sick feel any better. I try to tell her it’s just material stuff...we can just postpone Christmas and it’ll be ok and none of us blame her...she was helping sick people and trying to save their lives...how could we blame her for catching it? But to a depressed person that holds onto hope for something they love and look forward to all year...that’s had the WORST year of their life....to lose that thing even temporarily is hard. IDK what to do or say to cheer her up at this point because everything is shit. ANd I’m SO depressed too...but mostly I’m worried about her.

And yes we’re healthy but her patients aren’t....one of MY coworkers died too and I only work at a bakery.This man DIED because he came to work at a BAKERY to earn a little money since his retirement funds had dried up. He was ONLY 70 and he died for such a stupid thing and I’m sad and pissed and I even feel guilty for not warning him away. 

SO I guess what I’m saying is....it seems like I’m being ungrateful...I should be happy we’re all doing well with the stupid virus and at least my mom and I have jobs that are paying us to be out sick...but I can’t. I can’t because the situation is miserable and it was avoidable and I just want my mom...who has worked so hard and sacrificed so much this year...and every year really...to be happy. If happiness comes from a nice Christmas than that’s what she deserves and the fact that we couldn’t give that to her hurts me. She’s been so stressed, overworked, and depresseed but she held out hope for a Christmas miracle and it didn’t happen. 

And that stimulus money...it WAS a slap in the face but it was better than nothing. I have a large family so 600$ each would’ve been 4800$ for my family. That IS nearly two months rent. It wouldve been better than nothing and now that’s out the window. 

SO Fuck Trump and his Republican Co-Conspirators...I blame him for most if not all our troubles. I hope he chokes on his own vomit and then burns in hell like the evil bastard he is.

dominic tiberius greengrass is the youngest of three waaaaay too rich children

his mother, brigid, was an herbologist better known for her best selling books. the estate’s gardens and greenhouse are her life’s work and joy, and all three greengrass boys share fond memories of spending time with her in them, learning about it all even when they didn’t care, being forced to nurture pots of plants in hopes to turn them into responsible people. she still has a small army of handpicked herbologists and gardeners working for her, making her greenhouse and gardens a true paradise and place of research, and focuses on that mostly nowadays

roland greengrass, his father, left his position as chief warlock of the wizengamot three years ago, and has been working on a book ever since, yet to be finished. he’s been considering looking for a high position in some wizarding school, maybe ilvermorny, but has not made up his mind yet. he truly instilled in his children a sense of hard work, strict planning and following the law. oh, and he’s got an order of merlin, first class. quite the legacy to live up to.

the elder brother, sebastian, is a diplomat. the middle child, nathaniel, a well traveled herbologist, who owns his own research center. they are all very busy, and the oldest two already well married, with a few children. the three try to keep in touch, reuniting monthly at the main family estate for a weekend or so, and they also send each other letters?? cute

the greengrass family doesn’t have a history of joining extremist groups, but they are well integrated into pureblood high society, and a part of the sacred 28. they’ve always held positions of power and rivers of money, and are especially skilled in the art of arranged marriages, something that has made their ties to the rest of the wizarding society so much stronger. marrying a greengrass or into the greengrasses means a life of family protection, luscious estates and travels, a name of power and a spot in the lovely grey area between blood purists and blood traitor families, appeasing both sides just enough

it came as no surprise for him when, a couple of years ago, they started looking for someone. it’s been a long process, dom usually only involved when they needed a final yes or no, and he said lots of no’s until jacqueline showed up. a quick conversation, a dinner the next day, and the choice felt pretty easy. after all, worked for generations, why wouldn’t it work on him? so he’s now betrothed to jacqueline nott !!!!

so far it’s been A Gift honestly?? he?? has so much in common with her and it’s been so fun and niCE it’s something so calming and certain?? the future doesn’t seem as scary anymore??? help

he was always told to not get in the way of blood purists, but to not shun them away, and he still lives by that. ignores the war away, and never encourages the D.E.s (extremists are never a good thing). the only thing he follows is the law, as closely as possible 

he was sorted into slytherin but honestly the hat took a few extra minutes because it was almost a tie between that and hufflepuff. 

has retinitis pigmentosa, which pretty much means that he started losing some sight as a child, like the ability to adjust to different lighting or walking around at night, and tunnel vision, and gradually has been losing more and more of it (he was officially diagnosed when he was 12). as of right now, he barely has any left, so he’s legally blind (mostly just notices light, it’s reflections, flames). doesn’t talk about it. ignore ur problems awaaay

he truly is a fan of ignoring everything that’s serious when it comes to him. things are never really dealt with but shh

hogwarts is not the most disability-friendly school, although it’s improving but also, it was the 60s, so as his eyesight diminished the school’s measures weren’t really enough. he BROKE his right leg in 6th year in a moving staircase and the greengrasses immediately SUED the school, forcing it to rush improvement. his disability could never be a stop on his path, the greengrasses always made sure of it. 

but also, even if it’s the 60s and wizard society is very separated from muggle technology, there needs to be some stuff available for visually impaired people so i'm just gonna fill in all the gaps canon left - there is a spell that turns any writing into braille, another that turns braille typing into writing. both are very very advanced spells, and don’t always work 100%. 

uses muggle things like braille typewriters (they were still super nosy in the 60s-80s so his was charmed to not make a lot of it) and talking calculators. his parents got him a mobility instructor as soon as his diagnostic was made and his lack of vision was enough to justify it, aka someone who taught him how to adapt, how to move without crashing into things, how to properly use a cane. that greengrass money also paid for the best braille tutors possible, which he started learning right after his diagnostic since they knew it would only get worse. a braille tutor followed him to hogwarts during the school months too, coming in for a bit every day to keep helping him with braille and later on just to print over his work, made in braille, so that teachers could read it and mark it. eventually the tutor stopped coming, as he perfected the spell that turned his work into regular writing.

doesn’t care for the war. he greengrass especially are a family of rich well connected people who don’t engage in the most extreme views of the rest, so he was never raised with a specific hatred

ppl at school couldn’t make him develop that view either. he nodded along in order to not start shit and tried to dissuade them from the more intense stuff

never starts shit. so self aware of his words and what they’ll do

will try to fix everything all the time???? always has. whenever a problem arises, he’s there, trying to make sure you don’t even need to think about it

he’s?? kind. he’s a kind person. he was always The Softer Friend, the one who gave silent hugs when all others did was act stoic, the one who never got any of the jokes and laughed for minutes after they were explained to him, the slightly socially awkward kind friend who had everyone’s backs but also gave them shit about their snobbier attitudes and mocked their speech patterns and was the jokingly asshole-ish slytherin friend you’d expect

has been rising the ranks inside of the ministry, usually in the offices nearer to the minister. just got a job at the wizengamot, being one of the youngest there !!

likes his job? quite a bit? he liked the administrative stuff before, and then the powerful political roles, but he finds the law much more interesting, and is very open about much needed reforms in the british magical judiciary system. he’s so far from the revolutionary type, he just wants,,,, soft changes. pls fix this broken system.

he’s also good at it?? homeboi gives Good Speeches when he needs to convince his fellow wizengamot ppl, and he always pays so much attention and notices tiny details and logic flaws, plotholes - u can’t escape dominic justice. 

people suspect he only has it because of his family’s influence, which kinda fucks him up mentally because he questions himself and his work and position in the world a lot. 

he loves music so much?? any type of music. muggle, wizard, british, international, even when he can’t understand the words. can often be seen dancing. it’s like awkward dad dancing but?? endearing. if he’s in a good mood, there’s loud music playing in his house and he’s grooving around

dom definitely enjoys the lavish lifestyle his family money and his own now can provide him. wears the best clothes, lives in an expensive but small house, enjoys his vacations in Style™, like my man has that greengrass trademark money and knows how to spend it

loves buying people gifts??? takes a long time picking them too

he’s the kind of person that would take in his friends in danger into his house and hide them, but have a serious lecture ready for them the next day. probably tell them they need to find somewhere else to stay since they’re there bc shady stuff. BUT HE’LL TAKE THEM IN

so!! the general gist of this whole series is several kpop groups all kinda find themselves broke af in high school and split up into different groups as a part of this huge babysitting conglomerate

initially, hoseok is the first one to find out about this cool group of fourteen other teenage guys who literally just go around town babysitting for dough

and hoseok knows no sane person would give them a serious job at this age so he’s like!!! hey guys let’s do babysitting for money!

which sounds like a pretty good idea to the guy cause i mean he likes kids and... hey.... it’s money. what could go wrong?

everything, hoseok. so many things 

at first, hoseok is kinda shy with the kiddos he first meets, but once he gets a nice idea of their personalities, he’s “all in” (pls laugh)

hoseok is so strong and flexible like??? the kids love hanging off him and using him to climb around on

he once asked kihyun if it was appropriate to benchpress the kids

kids love hoseok bc he’s very energetic

hoseok usually gets the energetic kids anyway when they work, because he’s got so much energy and excitement and he’s so fun that the kids with even the worst amounts of stamina pretty much wear themselves out at some point with him

kids also love him because he always lets them win

like most of the kids he babysits have older siblings who think their siblings are annoying bc of all the energy they have and usually won’t play with them at all

so hoseok is like??? why give them more grief when they barely get to work those chubby legs elsewhere

it’s almost kinda ridiculous the lengths he goes to to put a smile on a kid’s face

like they’ll be playing hide and seek or something and he’ll hide behind a water bottle or something

if it makes the kid proud they found him, then he doesn’t care :)

hoseok has to beware sitting down on the ground bc like,,, flocks of children will just come at him at once and pummel him to the ground

the last time that happened he got kicked in the head like four times

kids love getting picked up by babysitter hoseok ok

since he’s so strong and can basically juggle tons of kids at once

like a lil kiddo will hold their hands out to him bc they want to get picked up and he’ll just scoop em up in one arm without much thought and the other kids are like :O 

kid: you’re really strong!

hoseok: yeah? i’m strong like superman?

kid: *nodding enthusiastically*

hoseok: *leans in like he’s telling them a secret* that’s because... i am

kid: !!!!

he has this little inside “secret” among some of the kids that he’s superman so sometimes the kid will be talking to their friends at the park while hoseok is there and the kid will almost let slip that they know superman

and hoseok will make eye contact with them and put his finger up to his lips with a grin and the kid will wink at hoseok and turn back to their friend and be like anyway!! let’s go play on the slides 

it gets so bad that he gets a call from a parent one day like “hey uh... my son keeps saying he wants superman to fly up to his window and read him dr. seuss???”

and hoseok is like “tell him superman has to enter by the front door today, i’m on my way”

he’s always on call and always dependable like that bc these kids steadily become his pride and joy and he really just wants them to have that big brother figure that they can look back on as a happy memory

and in most people’s opinion, he’s doing a pretty great job

changkyun

this child is... help him

changkyun is very apprehensive when hoseok brings up the idea of them babysitting

it’s not that he doesn’t like children per se, it’s just that they tend to scare him... kind of

he finds their opinion of him reflects what kind of person he really is so if a kid is cold to him he’ll think “oh my god... i’m a terrible person... did i kill someone in my past life? i must have killed someone, the child knows”

but he’s also the youngest out of them all so most people think he might be better with kids?? lmao like that makes a difference

but when changkyun first babysits, the kids are kind of in their own world so he thinks he’ll just do the minimum and then stay out of their way

until he’s like watching the avengers on tv (bc that’s the highest movie rating he can watch around the children) and one of the kids just. climbs. into his lap.?.

and changkyun is like um

and the kid curls up against his chest and lays their head on him and wraps their little hands around his arm and is all comfortable

and changkyun awkwardly lays his arm across their lap and the kid snuggles into him and actually falls asleep on him!!!

and changkyun is literally ded like this is the cutest thing that has ever happened to him ever

he’s thinking the child trusts me!! they’re snuggling into me!! they’re drooling on- hey wait a minute

then the other shows up and curls against his other arm and falls asleep and he’s just :DDD

the three of them end up falling asleep like that and when the parents come home, changkyun is passed out on the couch with the kiddos laying every which way all over him and snoring into the atmosphere but it’s the cutest thing

from that day on, changkyun just gets so cute around kids

he practices their names before he babysits, he sets out special games in case they wanna play, and he even brings snacks for them too like he’s so serious about being prepared

bc his voice is naturally deep, he always has to make it sound softer so the kiddos don’t get disturbed by it

he can really only talk the way he usually does around the kids he’s known longer

but one time a kid he had babysat for a while had surprised him and when he yelled his voice was so much lower than the kid remembered and they were like UHHHH

but after that, the kids make him speak in a really low voice like darth vader bc they think it’s pretty cool

somehow always ends up with hair accessories in the weirdest places when he gets home

there’s like a pile on his desk and whenever people come over they’re like changkyun do you have something to say

and since changkyun is the youngest he can’t blame it on a sibling so he’s like,,, i can explain

tbh if any of the boys sit in on one of changkyun’s babysitting dates they’d have so much blackmail fodder it’s not even funny

but changkyun would pretty much do anything for his kids

if it means dressing up like harley quinn and getting his hair died with kool-aid, he’ll live

bc at the end of the day, he’s happy and the kids are happy and it’s probably the most fulfilling job to him so he can never really complain

this boy has been ready for fatherhood since he was born

but no really he was probably the happiest to start babysitting

he doesn’t even really care about the money like he’s just happy to be here

he just has this nice warm aura that makes kids so comfortable instantly

he has this v special voice for talking to kiddos and it literally just shocks ppl over the age of twenty when they hear him use it???

like he’s just hanging with hoseok and then he gets a call from the parents of one of the kids and they’re like “can you babysit this friday?? we’re having date night” and the kid jumps on the phone like “minnie!!”

and minhyuk immediately changes to Cute Voice Mode and hoseok is so like.... whoa... who is this man

minhyuk is the best with kids that are super young bc they literally just flock to this sweet childish man??? like older kids kind of roll their eyes at him but the babies see him as like an idol

when minhyuk can’t avoid babysitting the older kids, he tries his damn hardest to relate to them

“how do you do, fellow kids”

no but jokes aside, it’s not necessarily that it’s hard to relate, it’s just that the older kids kinda hate that they have a babysitter

especially this goofy dude who’s supposed not that much older than their older sibling??

but oh... they haven’t realized the power they have at their fingertips

if they ask if their friends can come over, he plays the cool older brother card

every one of their friends is always like!!! who’s this hot dude chilling in your living room???

minhyuk just laughs and is like “a friend of (insert sibling/relative that lives in the house that would seem the least suspicious), don’t mind me. do you guys wanna order a pizza or something?”

and no matter who, almost always those friends never find out minhyuk’s the babysitter

so the older kids end up opening up to minhyuk bc they realize that he’s actually pretty cool and he’s not just great with lil kids

and that minhyuk has a lot of cool, random talents

so he grows the title of cool older brother from most of the kids he regularly babysits and it warms his heart soooooo much he loves being a big brother figure to them

and he’s always there to give advice or even go the extra mile as to take them places if he’s free

like “you wanna go to the arcade and your mom said it was cool?? i’m on the way prepare to get your butt kicked in table hockey”

or “you need someone cool to drop you off at prom cause you didn’t get a date this year?? should i wear the blue tie or the red one”

i believe minhyuk doesn’t have siblings so being something of one to all these kiddos is really refreshing for him and it really just makes him feel like he’s needed which is what he loves

and a lot of people are pretty much certain he’ll be the best dad when the time comes because he’s literally great with kids of all shapes, sizes, and personalities and he can never not brighten up even the saddest child

was about as apprehensive as changkyun, but unlike changkyun, didn’t warm as fast to the idea of babysitting as changkyun

i mean he wanted to do it and he’s pretty much a dad to the boys already but like...... what if they don’t like him

that’s literally all he cares about

he frets about it every time he gets assigned a kid no matter how long he’s been babysitting because he just!!! wants to be liked by the children and he doesn’t want it to be awkward but he still makes it awkward 

but he can get away with it sometimes because he’s cute so

and minhyuk and hoseok are always like hyunwoo!! stop being tense! it makes the children tense

and hyunwoo is like “I WOULD IF I COULD I SWEAR TO GOD”

he literally has to start off suuuuuper small like he has to assist kihyun while he babysits bc he’s that bad

kihyun gives him one (1) task and it’s to put a diaper on the baby and like not even a minute after kihyun leaves him to it hyunwoo walks into the living room with the naked baby with this helpless look on his face

and kihyun is so done

while the other kids are laughing their asses off at this grown man who looks like he’s putting together a rubix cube when it’s just a baby’s diaper. hyunwoo. please

but he ends up finally learning all the basics at some point, so he’s allowed to start work with the first kid

but the kid is like?? crying??? not two seconds into meeting hyunwoo for the first time

so he just stands there all awkward and kinda heartbroken bc he really wanted to make a good impression and yet he already made the baby cry

even tho the mother assures him that the baby is just nervous bc it’s his first time being away from his parents hyunwoo is just like beating himself up over it and blaming himself and regretting everything

but eventually, the parents leave, and the kid quiets down

hyunwoo sets him down and the kid just kinda walks away and hyunwoo thinks he’s trying to run away from him but everywhere hyunwoo goes, the child is just quietly following behind

when hyunwoo goes to make lunch, the kid is just peeking around the corner at him with wide eyes, like he’s trying to figure out if hyunwoo is a threat

and at first hyunwoo is really confused abt it bc whenever he would walk up to the kid he’d sprint off in another direction, but if he just kept his distance and “ignored” him, the kid would follow him around, even chancing to stand or sit right next to hyunwoo if he did a particularly good job of ignoring him

so hyunwoo feels bad but he also knows that trying to initiate things on his own would probably result in a mess and maybe more crying so he just keeps to himself, watching tv on the couch and pretending he doesn’t even notice the child

and he tries his best not to grin in triumph when the kid clumsily climbs onto the couch and cuddles into hyunwoo’s side, laying up against him as they watch cartoons together

hyunwoo isn’t even really sure if he’s done a good job by the time his job is over??? like he’s utterly lost on what to say to the kid’s parents when they come back and ask how it was bc tbh he felt more like he was taking care of a cat instead of a child

but once they pay him and hyunwoo is about to take his leave, he feels something thud against his calf and he freezes, looking down to see what had just smacked into him

and it’s the kid, arms linked tight around hyunwoo’s leg with tears in his eyes and a pout on his lips “don’t go, please :(” 

hyunwoo can’t even hear the mother coo over her son because hyunwoo is on cloud nine now

and he’s so endeared when he crouches down to be face to face with the kid bc the kid doesn’t run off or cower under hyunwoo’s steady gaze like usual

“i can babysit again, if you want! but next time, you’re going to have to talk to me, you can’t just run away every time i look at you, okay?”

and the kid shyly nods and shocks hyunwoo even more when he throws his tiny arms around hyunwoo’s neck and yanks him into a tight hug. so tight that the mom actually has to pry him off so hyunwoo can get home before it gets too dark out, and the whole way home hyunwoo is just so proud of himself like “who said son hyunwoo couldn’t babysit? well, everyone, but i proved myself wrong so it doesn’t matter”

after that he just becomes a whiz with the quieter kids bc they find him to be just like him and they feel much more comfortable around him than the more intrusive babysitters and hyunwoo ends up finding his calling :”)

initially awkward like hyunwoo but not as bad as hyunwoo

the nervousness is just bc he’s never really taken care of other people’s kids before so he just needs to find his way

but it surprisingly comes very easy to him??

like he already kind of takes on the motherly role in his group of friends bc he’s literally the only one with any common sense (don’t get him started on last year’s impromptu boy’s trip to the skiing mountains. hyungwon got left behind at the bus stop, minhyuk lost his phone in the taxi to kihyun’s house, hoseok only brought earphones and a bottle of water, hyunwoo forgot to pack underwear, jooheon ended up getting there safely but left to go back home and sleep as soon as he saw the state of the other boys, and changkyun didn’t even bother bringing more than two sets of clothes because “it weighed too much”)

kihyun swore he’d never let that disaster repeat itself

so from then on he’s been kind of the one that takes care of everyone else, even if he does it with a snarky attitude and a scowl on his face (jooheon said his scowl is cute but kihyun almost drop kicked him for it)

when kihyun first gets assigned kids, he tends to fold up in on himself at first, liking to observe and see exactly what he was working with before he made any hasty moves

which usually works for kihyun bc he can really just look at a kid for three minutes and he instantly knows what he needs to tame and what he can work with

he also tends to adopt a very distinct stern tone that minhyuk affectionately calls the “mom voice”

which is startlingly nostalgic when you hear it bc it’s like shit. when did my mom get here?? oh wait nevermind it’s just kihyun yelling at hoseok again

it usually works on kihyun’s regular set of kids quite well so even though he’s more of a warden than a babysitter to them, he’s fine with that

until he meets his match, of course

he doesn’t even get a chance to check out this new kid bc she’s already checking him out

like instantly when she sees him she goes to her mom and is like “he looks like a killjoy”

and right off the bat kihyun is like “i’d take offense to that but i don’t accept insults from people 1/4 my size”

and the kid’s mom is almost appalled at kihyun but then the little girl is smirking to herself, telling her mom to head to work and that she and kihyun would get along just fine

which is a Lie

kihyun has never in his life met someone so stubborn in such a small body like does this kid eat anger for breakfast

no matter what he says to her, she insists on doing the exact opposite and his mom voice does not work on her at all

the kid probably threatens to call the police every time he tells her to finish her veggies

like it literally feels like god created this child just to test kihyun?? he’s almost convinced that maybe she’s being promised a later bedtime or a trip to disneyland with the way she sticks to her role of the ultimate brat

like kihyun is absolutely exhausted after the first time he babysits her, but he’s completely lost when the little girl’s mother tells kihyun that she wants him to babysit again, bc the kid “liked him a lot”

so the second time kihyun babysits, he’s a little more wary of the child and thinks to himself that maybe the kid actually had something up her sleeve bc why would she request him again when last time all they did was bicker?

she still remains a practically untamable brat but she does tend to chill at times, which kihyun is eteranlly grateful for bc he swears if he didn’t have that pastel pink hair, he’d be able to see a whole patch of grey strands on his head by now

yet she still keeps asking him to babysit

so one day he’s managed to get her to sit still for a movie, kihyun on his phone texting hyungwon about how much trouble the lil girl is when he gets an urge to pee so he leaves his phone on the couch and rushes off to the bathroom

and the lil girl is obv curious as heck so she reaches over and reads his texts

by the time kihyun comes back, he’s wide-eyed, looking at this kid whose only emotions seemed to be rage and slightly calmer rage, crying on the couch with his phone clutched in her tiny hands

immediately kihyun clicks into protective mode and rushes over to kneel before her, looking around her to see if maybe she had hurt herself or if she was feeling sick, but then she speaks through sniffles “do you... really hate me?”

and kihyun freezes, looking at the open conversation on his phone before looking back to the little girl who looks so heartbroken by what he said

and he isn’t really sure why she would care with the way she treats him, so he’s just like “well, don’t you hate me? I thought this was a mutual thing” and he tries to awkwardly laugh it off, but she shakes her head stubbornly as always, pouting down at him

“you’re the only babysitter that’s ever come back”

kihyun swore he might’ve burst into tears right then and there but instead he just pulled her into his arms and held her as she cried into him, patting her back and whispering “it’s alright, kiddo. i don’t actually hate you. i could never. who else could be as witty as you are with me?”

and she’s just like “really?” in a really vulnerable voice

and it becomes apparent to kihyun that her acting out was a call for attention, as she was an only child and her mom was always working so she rarely ever got to see anyone except the front door pouring in babysitter after babysitter that didn’t care about her, just the money they got for the job

so when her mom comes home late that night, she’s worried that maybe kihyun might’ve been mad for staying longer than he intended and would probably demand more money

but instead she sees kihyun passed out on the couch with the little girl curled up on his chest, snoring and drooling on kihyun’s hoodie

and the mom just sighs, her heart swelling and smile turning peaceful for the first time in a while

oh my god, he never knew this was his calling

usually when ppl would see him, they would never assume that he did babysitting on the side

i mean, maybe for money but not for fun?? or bc he actually likes it???

but like, contrary to how he appears, he actually loves being in the presence of kids bc they make everything so fun and exciting!! like you have no idea how refreshing it is to hang with a kid excited about stars after you’ve spent the better half of your week around angry and hormonal teenagers

like jooheon literally looks forward to just letting out his dorky and fun side with a bunch of kids who aren’t complaining about finals or upcoming college apps

because even tho he relates and all, sometimes it just puts a huge damper on his spirit and he needs to recharge around some tiny humans who just wanna play video games and get a stomach ache off pizza rolls

and sure it’s cute when the kids call him hyung or oppa but you know what he really loves? being called honey

that’s the name he gives the kids to call him so they’re literally just running around yelling “honey!!” all the time and it’s the sweetest thing

and sometimes the parents get confused cause the kids are like “i wanna see honey!” and the parents are like ??? whom

he always takes the kids to the park too bc he tends to have the more energetic kids, so they’re usually hanging off monkey bars or sliding down slides on their bellies and sometimes he’s running with them, having the time of his life on the playground like he’s a child as well

sometimes parents and nannies and older siblings at the park will see him in all black and with his resting bitch face while he sits on the bench or something and they’ll be kind of put off by it

but then one of his kids runs up to him yelling “honey!! i got a cut!” and his expression will morph into this cute sad look and he’ll pull the kid into his lap and pull his handy first aid kid out of his backpack while he’s like “ahh, it’s not that bad, kid. honey’ll fix it up in no time, you just gotta promise to be careful running around, alright?” and the kid nods really fast after he bandages up their cut and they run off and literally everyone around them is swooning

he’s also the cool babysitter bc he always gets the kids to do chores or whatever, but he promises to get them something cool in return

“if you sweep and mop the kitchen like your mom’s been telling you for the last three days, i’ll take you out for ice cream cones” “extra sprinkles too???” “you’re gonna have to make that kitchen sparkle if you want extra sprinkles, kid”

and parents love him bc he always somehow gets the kids to do things the parents can never get him to do?? bc jooheon knows how to make it fun

suddenly eating veggies is now the only way to keep monsters out of the closet or from under the bed at night bc “monsters love kids who eat lots of candy, but they hate a kid who eats veggies at dinner time. they think it’s yucky”

some people wonder if maybe jooheon encouraging wild imaginations is a good idea in the long run but he swears by it, bc he knows orking the imagination is a good sign of mental development and will really encourage them to do what they love in the future

and, okay, one of his kids found out he likes to rap in his spare time

so she was like “!! teach me how to rap for my talent show” 

and at first jooheon was rlly reluctant bc he didn’t know how that would go down, but the little girl looked so passionate about it so he helped her write a (v clean and appropriate) rap about why homework sucks

and she invited him to come to the talent show to watch

so he ditches his last class of the day to make it to her school, and when he arrives the girl’s parents are shuffling him to a seat and he’s nervously chatting with them, his nerves getting the best of him bc he knows this lil girl in particular is pretty shy

but then she comes out on stage dressed almost exactly like jooheon and he just 💘 he’s ded

and she starts doing her rap and even tho she stumbles over the pronunciation a bit, she sounds so cool and jooheon is so proud and as soon as she’s done and does a little bow and mic drop he shoots out of his seat clapping like crazy before her parents can even fathom what they’ve just witnessed

and even tho she only wins second place, you bet your ass jooheon is treating her like a superstar the whole time, so much so that she might as well have won first place after all

hyungwon

if kihyun wasn’t already completely worried about hyunwoo, he is about hyungwon

hyungwon kind of?? is sort of responsible??? but just barely?

he usually keeps to himself around new people and around kids it’s really the same

like he doesn’t know if he should approach them or if they should approach him

he’d much rather be at home catching z’s tbh

“hyungwon you have to talk to the children” “i’m fine” “hyungwon you’re babysitting you have to talk to them” “no thanks” “hyungwo-” “i’m good”

kihyun is completely convinced that they should just leave hyungwon out of the babysitting idea altogether but hoseok is like no!!! we do this as friends or we don’t do it at all!!!

hyungwon: if that’s the case, i don’t mind breaking off this friendship here and now

but then hoseok threatens that hyungwon was gonna make him cry and hyungwon gave in (not until after some pouting on his part tho)

hyungwon has to be eased into babysitting so he ends up going with jooheon to do it, but he stays in his own little world and only moves to get new diapers or something

never to make snacks bc jooheon does not want to get sued for hyungwon accidentally poisoning the children with his terrible cooking

in fact, it takes hyungwon a long time to warm up to the idea of babysitting, so much so that the others are starting to wonder if hyungwon is even really paying attention when he helps babysit with the others

but then jooheon unexpectedly gets sick and has to cancel on a babysitting job and the parents are pulling out their hair over the phone with kihyun bc it’s so last minute and they really have no other options

and the other boys are completely booked so hyungwon is just like *raises hand* “i’ll do it...?”

and all the boys are completely stunned into silence (that is until the parents on the other line are like “hey anybody home!!”)

so, they send hyungwon to do the job

and at first, hyungwon is really nervous bc, sure, he’s watched jooheon work with all kinds of kids plenty of times (save for the times he’d disappear into some remote part of the house and nap) but he’s never been left alone as the sole Adult over all the children so he’s just kind of

freaking out

so when he gets there, he’s expecting like a bunch of crazy high-energy kids bc kihyun was shoving hyungwon out of the door with the parents’ address before he even explained exactly who hyungwon was babysitting

but then the dad is handing over this sleepy kid on his shoulder and he’s like “he mainly sleeps and eats so hopefully you can handle that” and then they’re gone

and hyungwon is super surprised bc the kid instantly curls into him with zero complaints

he’s just quietly snoring in hyungwon’s ear and hyungwon is like.... wow... same

so for a few hours he’s just letting this kid cuddle him while hyungwon watches tv on low volume and he nearly clocks out himself but he also knows that if he actually falls asleep he might not wake up for hours so it’s best he just stays awake

and when the kid has finally finished drooling on hyungwon he rubs his eyes all cutely and the first words out of his mouth are “what’s for lunch”

hyungwon, internally: SAMEEEEEEEE

bc hyungwon cannot cook to save his life he takes the kid out to get pizza and hyungwon manages to get the kid to play some arcade games with him but overall the kid is just super quiet and laid back and hyungwon could almost kiss jooheon for picking this job, over all other jobs, to miss out on

hyungwon is actually shocked at himself for how easily he falls into the big brother role, but of course he’s used to having a younger brother so it just clicks with him after a while

and nearing the end of the babysitting job when the parents come back home, the kid is just chilling on hyungwon while they watch tv and the parents are like “we’re really sorry honey oppa couldn’t babysit you this time, buddy”

and the kid is super nonchalant and just goes “i like this babysitter better, anyway”

and hyungwon is !!!! ecstatic, happy, elated, wow who knew babysitting was this rewarding and nice

hyungwon is practically on cloud nine, all smug when he goes back home and calls kihyun telling him the babysitting job was over and he’s just bragging about how easy it was and how much of a piece of cake it ended up being and kihyun is just like “yeah that’s great and all, now i’ve got you booked for four kids next week. one of the kids likes to claw on things and the other is a loud newborn baby”
