i have slept and I'm now just gonna Yapp about this design cus I can

also LOOK AT MY HARD WORK pliss

the most obvious is the inspo of insects and carnivorous plants. balancing them and how many plants to take into the design was a challenge and I just decided to go whit the venus flytrap.

in turms of the acual outfit i still wanted the main shapes from yuris original design to still be there so the shoulder gems were replaced by sholderpad-like things that's just a venus flytrap. the original gems was turned into one and placed in the flytrap on the chest that's mostly a decorative piece. the leaf pieces were just baist of leafs I found when I was researching carnivorous plants

now the othere aspects of the outfit mimic the original design I still changed the style of it and making it feel more 1800 fantasy-like (cus that's the whole point of this au). the pants are meant to be simple and to break up the complexity and make sure the main point is the plants and the shape of the legs to mimic how skinny bug legs can be, its the same reason I gave yuri heels to for that effect. the top of the pants has been made to look like the mouth of a flytrap its to do 2 things continuing the sharp paters and being on them but also being on the stomach being a little reference to starving as in starving venom.

the bug wings being on the inside of the cape were made to seem like its an already trapt bug ( how much I like them is debaidebal)

when i was coloring i wanted the green to be used as an acsent color only being uset for the outside of the flytrap elements and complementing the purple and pinks and braking up the space between yuris hair and the rest of the purple. the white of the undershirt just felt right and just helps give a better see what parts of chlodes are what

some of this mait have been ovius and this is what I remember thinking when I made it
