To Move On
Fandom: Lucifer (TV show) Genres: grief, denial, friendship
Summary: After the death of his brother, Lucifer can’t pull himself back together, even if he tries to deny it. His attitude becomes problematic when you and Chloe try to catch a murderer, but he is your friend and you can’t leave it like that.
Word count: 2,250

The bodies were being photographed by three men. You were surprised that none of them had stepped into one of the big pools of blood yet, given how much of it was splattered everywhere around. Ella seemed to be thinking the same thing, with a very impressed look.
“I should have gone to those ballet classes,” she mumbled, chewing her sandwich. Both of you had to wait for the men to finish before starting your part of the job. Chloe was circling around them impatiently, already pumped up with adrenaline and probably more than a hundred theories to check out.
“My mother wanted me to be a chef,” you said, taking a big bite from her sandwich. She always ate the good, expensive ones. “I guess I wouldn’t be able to hold the food in my stomach if I became one and then saw something like this.”
“Yup. And they say that life as an investigator is easy and doesn’t require any special skills. Look at Joe – poor guy is as green as the grass around him.”
You nodded, glancing at one of your colleagues, who tried to regain his composure on the back of the crime scene and pretending that he had nothing to do with the fresh puddle of vomit to his left. It wasn’t really his fault – he usually worked behind the desk and only packed or checked the papers from the investigations. If your bureau had more free officers, he would have been left in his cozy, corner office, but because most of them were occupied with another murder on the other side of the city, someone had to help with this one. If it was up to you, you would let him go home and rest, but unfortunately you weren’t the one in charge.
Watching Joe, you noticed another man heading in your direction from behind him. A very well-known man, not only because of his (rather interesting) looks.
You frowned. Lucifer looked quite… disheveled, which was unheard of for him.
“Hello,” he welcomed both of you rather terse after approaching you. Although he was smiling, he seemed different and uneasy.
“Are you drunk?” Ella asked him directly, eyeing him suspiciously.
“Or high?” you added, leaning in to smell him.
“No and no – unfortunately, but I’m working on it,” Lucifer flashed a wide smile, which was obviously not entirely honest.
He passed by you, moving to the table with all kinds of food and drinks. The murder took place at a wedding, so there was still plenty of it left over. The guests were also asked to stay until all of their testimony were taken, so now some of them were observing Lucifer moping up the fancy cake, completely uncaring about a tragedy that had happened here just a half an hour ago.
“Is he even serious?” Ella’s eyes went wide, just like yours. “I mean, he was always a bit weird and stand-offish, but this is weird even for him…”
“Yeah… I’ll take care of him, you go to Chloe, it looks like the boys are finished,” you muttered, leaving her side and pulling a plate from Lucifer’s hands.
“What do you think you’re doing?” you hissed.
He looked at you with pure surprise on his face.
“I thought eating was a rather normal action for a human…”
“Lucifer, for… whoever’s sake, you are at a crime scene and eating possible evidence!”
“You’re exaggerating as always, there’s no need to…”
“First, you don’t know, and neither do we, if it isn’t poisoned, because, guess what, it wouldn’t be such a surprise since we already have dead bodies. Second, it’s not up to you to decide what goes where and what can be thrown out or eaten! What’s wrong with you? It’s not your first ride, Luci,” you said, trying to look at him directly, but Lucifer didn’t want to catch your gaze and avoided it. From so close you could see that he was indeed a walking mess and looked like a completely different person. There was almost nothing left of the man you’d come to know.
“Whatever,” he murmured before trying to go somewhere else.
You wanted to stop him, but before you grabbed his arm, you heard Chloe calling for you. You let out a small groan, noticing Lucifer approaching a group of the witnesses, still shaking and sobbing. It was an easy way to cause a disaster, but you noticed a few officers standing nearby, so you hoped they would eventually stop Lucifer before it was too late for whatever he had in mind. You had no idea what had shaken him up so much, but it had to be something big. If you knew anything about this man, it was that he had built walls around him so tall that only something extreme could pass them. You definitely considered yourself one of his few friends and you decided to make him talk about it sometime later. You just couldn’t watch him in this state.
With a sorry feeling still clouding your thoughts, you turned around and approached Chloe and Ella crouching nearby the massacred body.
“Any ideas?” you asked, trying to sound normal, but Chloe had seen through you immediately, frowning.
“Is everything okay?” she asked the question you had no answer to. “And what about Lucifer?”
“He said… he was going to check something first,” you stuttered, but fortunately she didn’t push. Ella was unusually silent.
“The shooter must have had some training,” was the first thing she said, not even looking in your direction. “Or it was a very lucky shot. Either way, no ambulance could have saved this girl, even if the medics started to work on bringing her back right in the moment she got shot.”
“So he shot to kill, efficiently and without second-thoughts,” Chloe murmured to herself.
“You think it was some kind of a revenge?” you asked. “You know, it’s pretty symbolic here – the wedding, the bride killed right before she entered a new chapter in her life…”
Chloe opened her mouth to say something, but the three of you stopped when you heard a sudden fuss behind you.
Well, if you hoped for the officers to have a close watch on Lucifer and his actions, you probably should have told them that face to face. Or do it yourself.
“What do you think you’re doing?!” Chloe almost teared Lucifer from one of the female witnesses he was heavily making out with on one of the tables.
He looked at her rather unfocused, definitely not seeing anything bad in his latest actions.
“Just helping the poor lady come back to her senses!” he exclaimed with passion. “You are a detective, detective! You should know what she’s been through. She needs to calm down and think about something less drastic and relax…”
“So you think it’s just fine to screw her in the middle of an open-field investigation?” Chloe corrected him with disbelief. You’ve never seen her so angry but you felt the same way.
“Well, it’s not like she wasn’t up to some fun…” Lucifer purred over his shoulder into the woman’s direction with a sly smile.
Chloe grabbed his arm, turning him back and tried to reason with him, but you could clearly see it wasn’t working. You were standing a few feet behind her, watching them with a heavy weight on your shoulders. The Detective had also noticed the drastic change in Lucifer’s attitude and tried to convince him to let her help if he couldn’t handle whatever has happened, but he ignored her.
A few minutes later you watched Lucifer’s back as he left the crime scene, not even once looking back at you. You worried if he was able to get back to the Lux on his own, but you had work to do. You decided to pay him a quick visit on your way back home and check on him.
“So, um… Do we have any witnesses who had seen the murderer?” you asked Chloe, getting back to the body.
She rubbed her face tiredly.
“I’m not sure, I have to ask the officer…”
“I’ll do it! You don’t move and just help Ella,” you offered quickly, giving her a warm smile.
“Thanks,” she agreed gladly.
A few hours later, you entered the Lux quite surprised at how many people had already been there as the parties usually started late in the evening. The music was blasting from the speakers, almost deafening. The crowd flowed through the colorful space. A few waiters were maneuvering with experience, never spilling a drop of champagne. It wasn’t anything new for this place. Parties at Lucifer’s were always of the best sort.
It took you some time before you pushed your way to the bar in the hopes of finding Maze and asking her about Lucifer, but when you got there, it became clear you didn’t need any help with that.
Dancing like a true devil with three barely clothed girls, downing glass after glass, it was a miracle Lucifer hadn’t already fallen down. You sighed. You should have probably guessed how Lucifer would choose to deal with whatever was bothering him. Alcohol, girls, and endless partying – just another night at Lux.
“Lucifer!” you shouted after approaching him, trying to outshout the noise.
He reacted immediately, turning around so fast he almost hit you.
“What a surprise!” he mumbled barely understandable, visibly unsteady on his feet. Two girls in heavy makeup were hanging on his shoulders lustfully, but it didn’t stop him from coming closer to you with a strange look in his darkened eyes.
“We need to talk.”
“Sure, honey, whatever you want,” he whispered, leaning in close to you. His charm would work better if he didn’t stink like a distillery.
“Not here,” you quickly moved away, but grabbed his arm and forced him to follow you, completely ignoring his unusual wandering hands.
You almost pushed him into the elevator, tearing his hands off you angrily.
“Just stop it!” you growled and he raised his hands in a defensive gesture.
“Whatever…,” he murmured.
Before he could do anything else, the elevator stopped and you moved him outside, earning a surprised look from him.
“What-…”
You slapped him hard, not bothering to restrain yourself. At that point you were too angry to hold on.
“What is wrong with you?!” you yelled at him before he could regain himself and do anything. The pure shock on his face was a rare view. “First that bullshit on the crime scene, now this? Lucifer, I’m scared of you!”
He blinked a few times, still speechless. It was clear he never expected such an action from you.
“Well, you certainly don’t look scared…,” was the only thing he managed to mumble, moving away from you to lean on the counter on his left.
“But I am! This… This whole thing… It’s not you. It’s not the Lucifer that I know. I am your friend and that means if you ever have any problems, I will try to help you out with whatever is bothering you. But it also means that I will not allow this bullshit and you screwing up so badly in your life to the point there is no way back – and don’t even start saying that I’m exaggerating again, because let’s be honest, you don’t know where to stop once you start something. Lucifer, just tell me what happened. Just tell me what I can do to bring you back.”
You were looking straight into his eyes. The silence in his apartment was laying heavy around you, the dim light separating you from the rest of the world. At that moment you could clearly see that something deep inside Lucifer was tearing him apart and every one of his past actions was meant to hide it both from the outside world and from himself.
“What if I don’t want to bring back what I used to be?” Lucifer whispered barely audibly, finally tearing his gaze from you.
“Then at least explain it to me.”
“Why do you care so much?” he seemed not to understand your stubbornness.
“I told you. You are my friend. I don’t need any more reasons,” you lightly touched his hand, smiling encouragingly.
Hesitating a little, you closed your arms around his shoulders, embracing him in a rather awkward hug. At first he stiffened and you were almost sure he would move away from you, but he surprised you, hiding his face in your shoulder.
“But what if I’ve done something truly horrible and I don’t know if I can ever forgive myself?” Lucifer whispered into your hair.
“Forgiveness may come with time or it can never come, it rarely depends on us,” you said, gently stroking his disheveled hair. “The only thing we can do is to move on with that and live our lives the best way we can. Hurting yourself, you hurt people that care about you too. And that may cause you even more pain.”
“Life is more difficult than I thought,” Lucifer huffed, not moving a bit.
“But you’re not dealing with it alone,” you said. “No one is. And that’s what gives us strength to move on.”

[AA] Family Business
Logline: The youngest sibling in a family of smugglers is being forced into the family business, until he makes a wild and erratic decision on an assignment, forcing everyone’s hand.
____________
McFarland's is a family business; it's a smuggling company. They smuggle all kinds of things, drugs, money, stolen goods, and sometimes people. Blaine McFarland is the youngest of three brothers, his parents are pushing him into the family business, but instead, he'd like to pursue his creative side, enjoying his weekends of photography and painting. He has very little interest in the family business, but his parents don't give him a choice.
Today, his brother Bogdan is coming over with an assignment; they have to smuggle a person, a killer, to a safe house and then off to his new life, funded by the mob. It's like witness protection for criminals. Human cargo is especially tricky, it's unpredictable, there's usually a search involved, and any person that needs smuggling probably has committed a crime that is dangerous or unsettling. Bogdan arrives, and Blaine gets into the passenger seat.
"Are you ready for this?" Bogdan asks.
"Yeah, so we're chauffeuring this guy around for a little bit, what's the big deal?" Blaine says.
"Hey, be alert, this is the most dangerous type of job that we do in the family business," Bogdan reminds him.
The pickup site is a bus stop, right after the 10:10 bus departs. The person who needs smuggling shouldn't get on the bus, leaving him the only one at the stop after it moves, the MacFarlane Brothers will pick him up right after. They wait, the bus stop is full, the morning commute typically peaks at this time. The 10:10 bus arrives right on time; morning commuters file in one by one, one man remains, a tall man, with a scar on his face. He sits down on the bench and waits. The MacFarlane Brothers pull up,
"Are you the guy in need of the 795 special?" Bogdan asks.
"Yeah," the man says.
"Put your bags in the trunk and sit in the backseat," Bogdan said as he pops the trunk.
They're off, typically, when smuggling a person, they would go directly to the final destination, but in this case, they have to visit a safe house first while the last location for this person is not ready yet.
As they drive along to the safe house, Blaine notices that they are moving into the rural territory. Out of the city, where someone can go to hide. About a mile up, they see that there is a police checkpoint, possibly looking for the guy they're smuggling. Everything is compartmentalized, they don't know what he did, but sometimes you don't want to know.
"Hey guy, that back seat folds down there's a compartment where you can hide, that's a police checkpoint upcoming. The guy rolls the chair down and crawls into the secret chamber, and then returns the seats to its upright position.
"Blaine, by your feet, there is fishing gear, a tackle box, and a fishing hat, put on the hat, toss the fishing gear in the back," Bogdan says. They drive up to the police checkpoint,
"Good afternoon guys, where are we heading today?" The police officer asks.
"Just a little fishing, heading up to Carolina Lake," Bogdan says.
"Oh yeah, what's biting up there?" The police officer follows up.
"We're hoping some striped bass," Bogdan replies, he's done his research.
"How about you, how many years you been fishing?" The police officer asks Blaine.
"I don't get to go that much, hoping to make this trip count," Blaine says to the cop.
"I hear that. Good luck, guys," the police officer says as he waves them along. Bogdan rolls up the window,
"Good answer," Bogdan says to Blaine. "Hey you, in the back, give it another minute, you can come out again," Bogdan says to the man in the secret compartment.
They drive another 45 minutes out to a log cabin on a lake, it's the safe house, just three men vacationing on campgrounds, in the middle of the week, with only enough supplies for one day, if anyone were paying attention, it would seem out of place.
As the McFarlane brothers and the mysterious man get out of the car, Blaine notices a gun tucked into the man's waistband; he almost forgot the danger involved in this mission.
"How long do I have to stay in this piece of garbage?" The guy asks.
"One night, then you're off to your permanent location," Bogdan answers.
"Well, if you need me I'll be in my room, don't bother me unless it's important," the man says as he grabs his bags, heads into a back room, and slams the door. Blaine and Bogdan are eating dinner, they would offer him some, but he can smell it. If he wants some, he'll just come out.
"Do you think you'll be ready to run one of these all by yourself?" Bogdan asks.
"Tell you the truth; I have no ambition for this job, the only reason why I'm here is that Mom and Dad are making me do it," Blaine says.
"It's easy money; when you do one of these by yourself; you can make upwards of $1,000 for a couple of nights work," Bogdan says.
"It's not about the money; I just want to do something else, anything else," Blaine says.
"Don't be an idiot, what are you going to do? Struggle so that you can say you had to struggle?" Bogdan says.
"It's not like this is one of the more upstanding jobs you can do, we are dealing with criminals," Blaine says.
"Look at little brother getting all high and mighty, criminals exist in all industries, they just haven't been caught yet," Bogdan says. They have the TV on in the background; a News Bulletin comes on. The news flashes the picture up of the mysterious man with the scar; they report that he killed an 11-year-old boy,
"If anyone sees this man, he goes by the name of Indiana Williamson, stay away, this man is dangerous," the news anchor says.
"See, we're transporting a child killer," Blaine says.
"Would you keep your voice down, he's going to hear you," Bogdan says.
"What is it going to kill us?" Blaine asks.
"Yeah, he'll kill us," Bogdan says.
In the middle of the night, Blaine goes into Bogdan's room and wakes him up,
"Hey, I need you to come outside, something's wrong," Blaine says as Bogdan gets up and follows him out. When they get outside, all of their bags are packed,
"Do you smell propane?" Bogdan asks.
"Yeah, I took the propane out of the heating tank, and I spread it all over the cabin," Blaine says as he holds up a match.
"No!" Bogdan shouts as Blaine lights the match and tosses it in the log cabin. The cabin goes up quick; the flames spread fast,
"Why would you do that?" Bogdan asks.
"Don't you see, we were helping a child murderer get away with it, I couldn't do it, I couldn't let him do that," Blaine says.
"You realize that this guy is in the mob, right? We're dead," Bogdan says.
"He was going to disappear anyway, this way, we can live with ourselves," Blaine says.
"I've been perfectly fine living with myself before," Bogdan says as Indiana Williamson, on fire, stumbles out of the log cabin, burning to death, takes out his cell phone, and begins making a call. Bogdan acts fast, taking a big rock and smashing it over his head; the cell phone goes flying, and Indiana Williamson is dead. The McFarland Brothers take his phone and speed away in their car.
"You know because of what we did, we can never go back," Bogdan says.
"I'm going to take the blame, I've been looking for an excuse to leave anyway," Blaine says. In comes a text on Indiana's cell phone, "Kill the Smugglers.” Looking at the text thread, they realize that when they arrived at their final destination, Indiana was going to kill them, anyway. Blaine took responsibility for killing the mob monster and disappeared. Bogdan returned to the city and told the story of his insane brother, who went wild and murdered a mafia hitman.
The last thing Blaine said to Bogdan before they parted ways,
"Everything's going to be alright; this is what I want, this line of work isn't for me, just because I follow a different direction, it doesn't mean I'm lost."

Disclaimer : Just to let you all know that this will be an on going update where I will continue to update this review as I continue to use the phone. So if you need me to test out any features or whatsoever feel free to do so in the comment, and I’ll get it tested out for you.
Introduction
For the last couple of weeks, my friend Joshua and I were researching on the possible types of phone we would get that can replace our current phone. During that time I was using the Redmi 4X phone and had no complaints or whatsoever about it. Was a good phone actually, but then I needed something that comes with a better camera instead. The P10 Plus came into consideration, considering the P20 just came out so the price definitely dropped. And unfortunately we missed out on the 11street sale the other day. Never the less, I told Josh that the next phone I get must at least have a decent camera as I need to take pictures of the products I intend to sell online. Long story short, we’ve decided to get Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 China variant, which 12MP camera uses f/1.9, 1.4 μm instead of the f/2.2, 1.25 μm.
Comes with a free case, Redmi Note 5, USB Cable and 5V=2.0A charger
So Malaysia just officially released this phone on the 24th of April, which also uses f/1.9, 1.4 μm. Currently they are offering 3GB & 4GB ram version. So Josh said we should go for future proof and get the 6GB version instead. So we went ahead as plan and got the China imported set instead. Knowing that it will use, China ROM that comes with tons of bloatware both of us got it from Shopee. Josh got his 3 days after the purchase, where as for me I got it 6 days later and that was with the help of Josh who went and self collected it on my behalf. So here it is, with all it’s majestic glory I’ve finally received the Redmi Note 5. And out of the box it comes with the free case, the phone, USB cable and 2 pin 5V=2.0A charger.
Specifications
The Snapdragon 636 did not fail me one bit, and considering how things runs better especially Mobile Legend and PUBG on this phone is way better as compared to my Redmi 4X previously. Multitasking on this variant is smoother with the help of the 6GB of RAM. Definitely this mid range phone really does wonders, and I really have no complaints with this. Well minus the fact it was running using China ROM, there were a few bloatware I couldn’t uninstall.
Camera
Meet Josh my partner in crime
Now this is probably the main reason why I decided to get this phone in the very first place. After numerous times being brainwashed by the Josh whom you can see here, and the price was irresistible. So this was probably the first picture I took when I had this phone. And it certainly did meet my expectation. I’ll post a couple more pictures but it’s being compressed. Never the less, you can be the judge on how this camera actually work. And so far, after taking a few shots with this my products started selling almost instantly. Wish I had this phone earlier, so would had taken better pictures during my Dad’s 70th birthday. Never the less, all is good.
I can’t really much say about low light though, probably it will turn out better if I had a tripod and maybe see how things goes from there. And as for the video, the EIS on this device really made a lot of difference when taking a video using handheld. Can’t say much on the audio, but on the range of 1-10 I would probably give it a 7. At least for now I think I’ll be able to take better and clearer videos whenever my kids are having performance. Unfortunately they don’t support 4K recording, but it can be easily rectified by installing Open Camera. So overall, I’m pretty happy with this phone and most likely I’ll stick to this for at least 3-4 years provided it doesn’t die out on me which pretty much would be a shame. Never the less, if you’re planning to get a phone and not willingly forking out over RM1000 I would recommend to at least get the 4GB of Ram variant instead of the 3GB. Please take note that I had to resize the following pictures, so quality may drop a little.

Conclusion
Clear as it can get in this low light setting
A friend of mine told me last time, so long as you can see what’s inside the picture when taking a photo is good enough already. We don’t need to spend so much, in getting super high quality cause once you’ve upload it onto social media you will end up losing all the qualities anyway. Because of that I sold of my Samsung S7 Edge and got the Redmi 4X back then. But boy was I wrong, I do miss out on taking good pictures of kids. For places that has sufficient lights, it was fine. But for places that had low light, I missed out a lot on those special moments.
Having said that, my brother once said “It’s only a phone, it’s not going to end wars or cure cancer”. And it got me thinking, on how much one should actually spend on a phone. So if a phone cost more than an i5 laptop, I think it would be over priced already. But the problem with budget and mid range phones, you hardly can find any good alternatives. But I seriously got to thank Xiaomi for keeping it real, considering how affordable they made their phones.
For the price I paid about less than 1/3 of the price of Huawei P20 Pro. I’m actually getting good quality pictures that doesn’t lags when taking pictures. And everything works just perfectly as it should, with the bigger screen it’s indeed a bonus. Having said that, the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 that has similar specs does sell cheaper as compared to Redmi Note 5 but its more of a gaming phone instead of photography. So if you’re someone who’s like me that are only interested in taking good photographs, I would highly recommend this phone to all of you. But I do believe maybe in future updates, the Redmi Note 5 should be able to better optimize their apps so that games will run better. Not that I can tell much since PUBG and Mobile Legend still run perfectly fine for me.
Anyhow, if you’ve gotten a China ROM version and would like to flash to the global ROM do continue reading below and I’ve been using the “leaked” ROM for a few days already and it’s been fantastic!
Flashing to Global Rom Oreo 8.1
Josh told me someone managed to flash their China Variant phone to the latest Global Oreo ROM, as the current firmware on Xiaomi’s website is running on 7.1 that had problems with the camera. But unfortunately, the original poster got taken down but that didn’t stopped us from trying to obtain the leaked ROM. With the thanks of Google Cache we were able to download the ROM and successfully flash the global ROM onto our China Variant devices. So Google works right out of the box, and everything works just the way it is. From what I understand from Josh was that, network download speed seems to improved a lot. I didn’t do the test before I flashed to the new rom so I wouldn’t know.
If you would like to try and flash this ROM, here are the steps. And please take note that I will not be held responsible in the event if your phone get bricked or no longer work. So if you’re not too sure what you’re doing I suggest you get someone else who knows to help you out. Please do a full backup of your phone as this will wipe entirely everything from your phone. I’ll break this into few parts :-
Files Required
XiaoMiTools – https://xiaomitool.com/
TWRP Image File – https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=673956719939832671
ADB & Fastboot Installer – https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
Redmi Note 5 Oreo Global Rom – http://bigota.d.miui.com/V9.5.6.0.OEIMIFA/miui_HMNote5HMNote5ProGlobal_V9.5.6.0.OEIMIFA_3b50aa3537_8.1.zip
Unlock Your Phone Boot loader
By default, your phone boot loader is locked. Because we are required to flash an unapproved firmware by Xiaomi, we need to unlock it by sending a request here http://en.miui.com/unlock/. You need to sign into your Mi Account (I suggest using your phone number), and once you are in it would ask you why you need to unlock your boot loader. Just let them know you want to flash to a global rom which requires it to be unlocked. Now for me it took about 20 minutes for them to approved, where as Josh got his unlock in less than 5 minutes. Probably the main reason is that they were working that time, hence didn’t need to wait as long as other stated. So once you received the text message stated your account has been given permission to unlock the boot loader. Follow the instruction from the website, and your phone will be unlocked after that.
Downgrade to Nougat
To do this I had to use XiaoMiTool, which pretty much is automated. But before you run this program, you need to make sure that you enabled USB Debugging under the developer option. To access developer option you need to go into Settings –> About Phone –> Tap MIUI version 7 times to enable Developer Options –> Press Back one time –> Additional settings (Under System & Device) –> Developer Options –> Enable USB debugging.
Once you enable USB Debugging, connect your phone to your PC and run the XiaoMiTool. Please take note that it will prompt you to trust the device on your phone, just tap OK. The software will then prompt you to select your device, so select your Redmi Note 5. Here it will do some standard checking to see if your boot loader is unlocked and etc. So don’t worry when your phone reboots a few times, as it’s perfectly fine. Because the phone got restarted, you may need to approve the access on your phone once again before proceeding to flash your phone.
Select Global Rom
Once it prompts you to select the ROM you want to install, choose the first one Global ROM Version 9.2.7.0 NEIMIEK. Then click on Select and you should be downloading the firmware and it will prompt you once again that it will flash your phone. Now in the event once Xiaomi officially release the Global ROM version 9.5.6.0 OEIMIFA, select that ROM instead and you don’t have to proceed anymore.
After you completed flashing your phone. Do a quick setup on your phone, so that you can get into the main home screen. Don’t have to connect to wifi or set up your MI account for now. Once you’re in, just copy the Oreo ROM onto the phone internal storage. Once you’ve done that, it’s time to flash your phone.
Flashing Oreo Global ROM
