"We need more complex female characters"

Well, what a odd thing to say when you are not even prepared to deal with Crystal Palace. Like, she's complex as hell, but her arcs are pretty easy to understand, and yet I still see people villainizing her. You want complex female characters, but you're not ready for them, especially if there's an m/m couple, canon or not, in the mix.

#I don't usually get into this kind of discussion #but I ended up reading some shit and couldn't help myself #I love Crystal and the construction of her character in the first season #and my biggest disappointment about the cancellation was precisely about not seeing her development in the series #and I love Paineland with my heart but not at the expense of purposefully interpreting Crystal's arc wrong to have some reason to hate her #you can not like the kind of character she is or the kind of arc they're giving her #but if you have paneland in your justification for not liking her then you're talking shit #sorry i needed to get this out #dead boy detectives #crystal palace surname von hoverkraft #crystal palace
