while i’m on the topic of discourse i will never understand people on twitter who see one rival fan saying “son is good” and quote retweeting them saying “see tottenham fans you don’t deserve son you don’t appreciate him like rival fans do” like you couldn’t find millions of rival fans saying he’s shit in the same breath 😭

#not denying that there are parts of our fanbase who are genuinely weird about him but they’re in the minority #and i know that for a fact lol bc every big spurs acc on twt will sing sonny’s praises to the moon and back #and most importantly every spurs fan you meet irl will defend him to the death #you’ve only got to watch the vid of him returning from the asian cup this yr to understand the love spurs fans have for him #said tweet literally was by a pool fan and had other pool fans in the replies like #yeah he’s cooked in the buildup but sure a 1 yr contract would be fine #🗿 be serious. you think that’s praise #also saying this abt pool fans is mad when a LOT of their fanbase wanted and still want salah sold.
