the fact that we get descriptions and covers for idw sonic issues a while before they come out to the point where we'll have information from several issues ahead of where we actually are in the story makes things so confusing sometimes. like i thought the true identity of the phantom rider was gonna be a mystery at first but no the ending of the most recent issue makes it very obvious that its gonna be sonic. similarly i thought it was gonna be a big plot twist that duo was mimic but no it was revealed immediately so it was barely a mystery at all

#i know its not the writers' fault though im not blaming them for any of this #honestly have to wonder if people would be so mad at lanolin all the time if it wasnt immediately revealed that duo was mimic #because a lot of the complaints are basically just''why is she trusting mimic'' when. she doenst Know that its mimic #and mimic is deliberately not showing any sign of bad intentions around her #basically i wonder what would have happened if they left it more ambiguous if duo was evil or not #though idk how well that would have worked with the story theyre trying to tell right now #of a bunch of the already existing villains infiltrating the restoration #idw sonic spoilers #iguess
