im sure im not the only one but paranatural is set so firmly in 2011 in my head i refuse to even consider that it could be later. every time a middle schooler uses a smart phone im just like ah yes. they come from money

#isaac whipped out a smartphone on may 20 2016 and my response was just ah ha. hes rich i understand now #anyway yeah i went to private school and all the kids had iphones and went to hawaii or europe for vacations #and meanwhile i didnt have a phone bc it ‘wasnt feasible’ and when i did get one in hs it was a shitty slider that i used until i was 20 #paranatural #i mean. adults to tbh. its not ‘they come from money’ and more of ‘they can afford that’ bc my parents didnt get smartphones until 2015/2016
