The monarchs do not take them seriously bc they are tiny and also charisma is their dump stat so they're shit at intimidation

The party knows that they absolutely would do this and in fact that they have a necklace with one of Quackity's teeth and one of Wilburs teeth on it bc they've knocked one out of both of them and keep it as a little trophy of 'I can't blow up or burn down the monarchies because my parents party won't let me but hey at least I can hurt those fuckers' and Spooky is currently holding onto their shoulder in a death grip so that they don't launch themself at 5 of the most power people because they absolutely would lose that fight

And the party has tried just not bringing them to any of the monarchs before because they tend to run their mouth and or try to kill someone but the one time they did that and they were left to their own devices while the adults did politics there was a mysterious fire in Wilbur's castle that was put out rather quickly but was there none the less there, Cryptid didn't confess to starting it but their deception roll certainly wasn't the highest and absolutely no one believes they didn't.

They just really hate Wilbur because 1, he's a monarch, 2 he's an asshole in their opinion, and 3 they don't like how he treats Cala. So yeah so what if they tried to burn his room down? The fucker deserves it their eyes.

Anyway yeah they are a mess and need to stop picking fights when they feel the slightest bit threatened, they get better at it evetually, but wisdom is not their highest stat let me tell you T-T

I would say though spooky would be completely on board and let them do the crimes as long as they don’t get caught bc she hates those motherfuckers too you have no ideaHDJSSKSK Fundy would be the only one more hesitant (but not condemning bc god he’s so tired) and Dream would just be dark Kermit like “fuckin do it”

Cala would be the only one not condoning it bc she doesn’t want all of them to get executed but she’s doing her best

Also those are very valid reasons not to trust/like King Wilbur bc god he’s the worst but I love him and Cala is doing her best to see the good in people especially that guy who smells like ozone and keeps flirting with her in front of Fundy for some reason

Cala and Dream will defintiely go through the wringer a lot and they would both cope with it in different ways to be honest— especially since after seeing Dream she does want to fulfill her promise to Tommy so she tries to go home but uh-/ Dream really doesn’t let her HEDKD

I was thinking back and forth on how long it’s been since Dre died when the events of the Ghost AU start— so I decided when basically Cala summons him it’s probably right around a year/a little after. And then Dre stays in Cala’s world for like… 8-9 months before they both hop into the DSMP. And then Cala’s stay til his revival would be like 3-4 months.

So I would say Dream has been dead for a little over 2 years!

As for how long Dream has spent in limbo- it’s actually part of the reason why he’s more unhinged tbh

When Dream died, he knew it was gonna take a small bit til Punz revived him. So he was very patient. He has to be in this situation— so he was honestly expecting to be there for at least a month or two real time til Punz brought him back. So Dream waited around 5 years in limbo time patiently—

And he started to slowly lose his nerve after that.

He was getting impatient, he was getting paranoid; why wasn’t he alive by now? He should have been! The only thing really keeping him sane was him counting the days and it honestly felt like the prison all over again but more lonely.

So he kept counting. And counting.

Until the years began to turn to decades in his point of view. And he was really doubting everything.

Meanwhile uh— there’s a reason why Punz couldn’t revive Dream! The main one being after Dream’s death, Quackity and Sam tracked him down and basically took the book from him.

Everyone in the server knows Dream had died by that point- because Quackity told everyone what happened:

That Dream apparently killed himself trying to escape and his plan fell through.

And majority of people believe it!

So really by that point everyone really moved on… until Dre popped up and was basically ‘hidden’ from Q and Sam.

But back in limbo Dream was just waiting. And I figured out the math I think

Dream has been in limbo for 60 years until he came back!

The longest he has ever been in limbo— not as long as Wilbur or Schlatt but long enough for him.

And Dream is not happy about that at all.

I always think that dnd!XD is just “I only keep Cala around and give her cool shit because I think it’s hilarious I don’t have any attachment to her I swear” and then it cuts to him genuinely fucking helping her when things go wrong and him being so conflicted when she dies from Q bc he’s not supposed to feel attachment to mortals he already is attached to George then this creature comes in- he’s like the dad that doesn’t want the cat and it’s his now

Meanwhile he outright bullies the rest of the party with no hesitation as long as it keeps Cala away from it HDJS

So the thing is— it will happen at some point. But probably not for a LONG time. And for obvious reasons too! They both have very different beliefs and mindsets, and even though Cala understands why Quackity does what he does she doesn’t agree to it at all. That and she does have that grudge against him for the hell he put to Dream. That will never go away, and she honestly won’t ever excuse or forgive him for it. But she does see that he can at least change. And it will take a long time.

But when it happens oh boy

Cala’s greatest strength and greatest flaw is her curiosity. She’s always curious with anything happening, and she would get an answer one way or another. So obviously she would ask Quackity 80 million things about his casino and well— eating a god damn heart. And I feel like they both would bond over the more fucked up stuff she likes to talk about. But as well as that, she’s always a good listener. She does her best to listen to everyone’s problems and gives advice- but she will put her foot down if he does something that she knows is wrong. Like- she won’t let it slide that he did fucked up stuff. She won’t remind him of it cruelly she’s just “we both know that’s not true Q.” And she doesn’t LIKE saying that- but she would put her voice in when it comes to Quackity’s bullshit.

Meanwhile with Quackity’s end It’s very complicated for a number of reasons. And like- he does like having her around and in a way she’s a breath of fresh air from everyone else. But he knows how- timid she can be. She holds herself back a lot. And Dream would help with that but I feel like Quackity would be more forward about her letting out how she actually feels. He WANTS her to be more aggressive. even though he gets annoyed when it’s directed at him. Honestly he would help a lot with her confidence- which is something she needs.

They would be at each other’s throats half of the time and the other half they would get along and be fine-

And when they’re together they are a complete nightmare to be around because on one hand you have the baby and the other it’s well- Quackity HDJSJSJS

Everyone would be confused on how they are getting along- but it works!

She would 1000% ask him if he’s eaten more things than hearts tho HDJZSKSK

I don't super have very specific questions rn but just in general is Cala's dynamics with Q and Sam always just hatred or do they ever get to interact in anyway positively? (If not, fairrrr those two are bastards and don't deserve Cala being nice to them ever uwu)

Also how does Cala interact with revived!dream? I feel like you've probably talked about this but I honestly don't remember

Wait and actually how do Cala and Dre 'get together'? Is it just like slow building of friendship and closeness and then deciding "hey this is kinda romantic right" or is there like a specific moment

1. Cala with Sam and Q is extremely.. mixed. Honestly one of the most mixed out of my AUs to be honest. They do have positive interactions! In the beginning it’s actually neutral-positive since they both see she’s a new person and they want to know after Glatt basically said he found her around. It kinda.. dips afterwards. Cala is what I like to call a chameleon- she kinda blends in with the crowd when she needs to be very easily because she’s masked for so long. This causes Sam and Q to kinda be on edge about her actually- they think she has a secret motive or two faced when in reality Cala is just doing her best to not have any conflict

Meanwhile Cala is just more worried on why Dre gets very jumpy when she visits las Nevadas or interacts with anyone affiliated there. Dre never elaborates but he says he feels empty when he sees them and he says the empty feeling gets worse when he sees Cala interact with them- so she is very concerned.

It also kinda doesn’t help that Q reminds Cala of some old party friends she used to be with years ago- and it leads him to pressure her to ‘let go’ a bit whenever she visits so he could squeeze the info out of her. Cala- sadly is not immune to peer pressure. But she does her best.

When she finds out those two are the big reason for his death and torture though she immediately goes ballistic. Internally.

She’s just. “Oh. Okay 🙂”

Techno, Punz and Sapnap actually notice the literal rage boiling in her but she hides it deep down.

It comes out though at some point! And it’s not pretty!

I could ramble about their dynamics forever to be honest but at some point it does get positive again? Not in a “oh we’re friends” way but in a “I helped you, you helped me— try any shit again and I’ll inflict karma on you”- but also unfortunately do have moments of relating to each other. It’s.. extremely complicated. Cala never forgives the two of what they did to Dream (and her) and they don’t like her because of who she’s with and what she’s done as well (her burning down a section of Las Nevadas before knowing the reason of Dre’s death)

2. In earlier asks I reference their interactions are very.. controlled and awkward. And they are! Dream just got back and wants to literally start some shit because he’s just about had it, but he sees that Cala helped and he’s always one to pay back favors. But the way they interact is very.. controlled. Like he has to be the one controlling the setting and how he wants her to respond. It’s out of habit sadly. And it’s worse since there’s this nagging feeling that at some point they had a deeper connection somewhere but.. he just met this woman.

Cala meanwhile is very.. awkward and distant towards Dream. Not because it’s the big bad Dream but it’s because she’s kinda grieving over the fact she lost Dre and these are two completely different people. She does her best to get along with him and in time they do actually get along— albeit it’s more awkward and very messy and at times it doesn’t feel like it’s compatible- but they do! Cala is just.. sadly missing Dre but she feels selfish for feeling that way since it was Dre’s decision to be revived.

3. they do get actually together at some point! It’s kinda a mix of “oh there’s something there” in the friendship and a key moment where they both realize they’re in love. For Dre’s key moment it’s actually the first time he possesses her- it was scary for both of them and he knew that he was accidentally hurting her. After she recovered they talked about it and she was just so… nice. She was nice and understanding and she even told him that if he needed to hide then she wouldn’t mind if he did it again as long as it kept him safe.

It… reminded him of some people, he didn’t know what though or who. It was like a fogged mirror when he tried to remember the past, but it felt safe. And he fell for her because of that moment since he realized she genuinely cared about his well being even though he was a ghost.

As for Cala— this is a silly one but honestly on her birthday. Her family set up a surprise birthday party at her house so when she came home she was greeted with that- and it surprised her! She was worried about her family seeing Dre or saying her house was haunted but her family didn’t pay anything any mind albeit some footsteps and the occasional cabinet swinging open.

Once her family left late at night Drew gave her a gift!

He drew the two together with his ichor :)

It was a very sweet gift and he tried to draw them both nice but.. he’s not good at drawing faces. Everything else yes but specifically faces- mainly because he said that sometimes it’s hard to focus.

But Cala always keeps that drawing in her purse and that’s when she knew she loved that idiot

Dre doesn’t confess til like a month later after her birthday and they’re both together :) all of this is pre going back to the SMP since Dre stays over there for a while
