It was Christmas time, and snow had just begun to fall, you were walking with Astoria, through the shops of Hogsmeade.

"Everyone knows what it means to ask a 'friend' to Hogsmeade," says Astoria. Her brown hair hung over the sides of her face and she looked down at the ground.

"I know! He might be an introvert, but Teddy isn't stupid that's why I'm upset. Pansy even thought Teddy liked me, and then he turned around and asked her on a date." I said.

Theo and I were really close, and jokes about our friendship were often made by our other friends, due to how close we were. I'd liked Teddy for ages, but recently he had started asking me to hang out individually, and sitting next to me at meals in the great hall. He even switched with Blaise to be my potions partner, and I suck at potions. Of course, I didn't mind the extra time spent with him, and I loved his company, but now I regretted it, I felt like I had let him lead me on.

"I'm sure he does like you, Y/N. I haven't seen Theo spend this much time with anyone since, well, never." Astoria reassured me. I'm not sure how she could say such a thing when Theo was literally on a date with another girl right now. We walked into Weasley's Wizard Wheezes and looked to see what new ideas the twins had come up with. Astoria wandered to a display table towards the left wall, "You could buy this, and Theo won't even remember Pansy's name." She held up a glass with a sparkly, heart-shaped label that read, "Love Potion". I smiled and gave her a look of disapproval.

"Too soon?" she asked.

I opened my mouth to say something, but I heard the door open, and a cold breeze made the hair stick up on my arms. I turned to the door and saw Pansy walking in, but rather than Theo behind her, it was Enzo. He scanned the store and waved at Astoria and I.

"Y/N, Astoria! Hey guys what are you doing here?" Enzo asked as he was on our side of the store in a few strides, Pansy following close behind him.

"Hey guys," Astoria gave them both a quick hug, "we're just shopping around, y'know?" Astoria holds up the love potion so that Enzo and Pansy can see it.

"What're you buying that for?" Pansy asks reaching for the glass.

"I'm not buying it, y/n is!" Astoria joked.

"I am not buying that, put it back!" I told Astoria, quickly taking it from Pansy and putting it back on the shelf we got it from.

"Trust me y/n if you're buying it for 'you-know-who' then you do not need it," Enzo said raising his eyebrows, exaggerating his tone on certain words. I punched Enzo in the arm,

"I'm not buying it," I said sternly, I knew they were all just joking, but now was a bad time, especially since Pansy was literally right next to me. "besides, Teddy and I already get along just fine, why would I need a love potion? We're just friends."

"So if me and Draco share a bed, you wouldn't think that was a little bit weird?" Enzo asked with a quirked eyebrow.

"Well, not if you guys were both cold, and one of your beds was all the way down the hall," I told them, understanding the message they were trying to send.

The topic of the discussion changed many times before we got back to the comfort of the fireplace, surrounded by green couches, and various books. I sat in an armchair closest to the fireplace, before getting up to use the restroom. When I walked down the hallway I could hear the laughter of my friends, and faintly hear their voices. When I finished up, I looked in the mirror and ran my fingers through my hair, the hat I had taken off messed it up, and no one had thought to tell me. I walked back into the common room and saw that Teddy had returned from wherever he had been, and taken the seat I was sitting in before I got up. Without much thought, I sat down on the arm of Theo's chair and ruffled his hair.

"Hi Teddy," I sang, and seeing him for the first time today, I had almost forgotten I was mad at him, "where have you been?"

The room had gone silent and our friends all watched our interaction. I quickly noticed our proximity and moved to an empty spot on a couch, near his chair so I could still listen for his answer.

"Just around," He spoke softly, "nowhere special."

I was surprised by his answer and looked over at Pansy to see if her expression would show that she knew anything more than he let on, but she had turned back around and was talking with Mattheo about who was the better quidditch player. Theo obviously didn't have much to say, and by the bags under his eyes I could tell wherever he had been, had left him exhausted, so I let him be, and decided that I should get some rest myself.

Morning came, and despite being under water I could tell the sun had risen by the dim rays shining through the windows. I showered, and got ready for breakfast, putting on a jumper and some trousers I'd pulled from a drawer. When I left my dorm and walked into the common room, I could see Draco and Astoria waiting on the couch, tossing a hair tie back and forth as they continued in conversation.

"Good Morning!" I said as I approached the couple.

"It's about time," Draco said as he pretended to be annoyed, "If you took any longer I might've died of hunger."

"I'm actually early today, Malfoy so maybe save your starvation for another day." I laughed.

We made our way down to the great hall, and the rest of our friends made space for us at the table. Pansy was in her normal seat between Blaise and Enzo, rather than next to Theo, which confused me since I thought they liked each other, but I didn't think much of it.

As I took my usual seat next to Theo, an owl flew above our heads and dropped a letter down right in front of me.

"Y/N, you have mail!" Mattheo yelled from a few seats down, as if I couldn't see the envelope land in front of me. Blaise hit him on his had and mocked him for stating the obvious.

"Open it." Theo nudged my arm urging me on.

I turned the paper over in my hands and didn't see a name, other than my own so I ripped open the envelope. A piece of parchment was folded inside it,

'Hogsmeade? 2:00 - Harry Potter'

"Harry Potter, as in the Chosen One, you've got to be kidding me, mate." Draco sighed as he shoved his face into his hands.

I laughed and looked across the room at Harry who was already looking at me, I nodded at him, and he smiled in return, turning back around and saying something to Hermione and Ron.

"You're going to go?" Theo said to me, shocked that i assented to the idea of a date with Harry.

"Yeah, why not? He's cute and popular, he probably just needs a favor anyway," I said "Plus, you can go on dates why can't I?"

Theo's jaw dropped, and then closed again, and he got up and left.

"He deserved that," said Pansy, "I told him no, by the way, I wouldn't go out with him because I know you like him."

I wanted to curse Pansy at this moment for announcing to everyone around us that I liked Theo but decided I would appreciate her rare kindness.

Time passed quickly, and before I knew it, I was dressed up to meet Harry. I zipped up my snow boots and heard a knock at my door, "Come in!" I called whoever it was.

I quickly kicked the clothes next to my bed, under it, in hopes whoever it was, wasn't a professor, or Harry. The door opened, and when I looked up it was Theo.

"Hey Teddy, what's up?" I asked, wondering what he was here for, I had barely seen him the past few days and assumed he was done with his attitude.

He didn't say anything, he took the chair from under my desk and sat down, looking at the ground. I stared at him waiting to see if he was going to say anything.

"You can't go on that date," he said finally meeting my eyes.

"Are you kidding me, Theo? That's what this is about because I'm going out with another guy, you want to show up in my dorm and act all possessive?" I shot at him. He had rarely talked to me in two days, and this is what he came to say.

"Please, you just- you can't go," he stood up, moving in front of me to hold my hands in his.

"So, let me get this straight, we've been just friends for months, and when you decide to ask Pansy on a date it's okay, but when I get asked out on a date you can just come to my dorm, demanding me not go?" I reiterated. I was hurt that Theo genuinely thought I would be okay with this.

"My door was unlocked," he whispered.

"What?" I asked. I felt like I had asked him so many things and hadn't gotten one response.

"I waited for you to see if you would try to talk me out of going, and ask me to stay with you instead." Theo said

"Teddy why would I talk you out of doing something that you obviously wanted to do, I want you to be happy," I told him. I was extremely confused by his intentions.

"Just please don't go y/n I'll take you to Hogsmeade myself, just don't go on a date with Harry Potter of all people." He begged me.

"But why, Theo?"

"You know why." Theo insisted.

"Say it."

"Because I love you y/n, I'm in love with you, and if you go on that date with Harry, you might start to like him, and then I'll have to move to be alone," he confessed.

I was speechless. Not because I didn't reciprocate his feelings, but because I didn't understand.

"So what about Pansy? You just asked her out to see if I would come knocking on your door?" I scoffed.

"It was her idea, I'd ask her to Hogsmeade, so you'd get jealous, but we didn't go by ourselves, Enzo and Blaise came along, that's why Astoria went with you, to make sure you didn't run into us as a group." He explained

Theo was standing so close to me that it felt like his tall figure was hovering. I could feel his breath on my face and looked up at him. He took my face in his hands and crashed his lips into mine. His hands moved down to my waist, and I kissed him back, moving my hands to his hair, pulling at the roots.

"You're really good at that," I said when we finally separated for air, moving my hands to the back of his neck.

Theo smiled down at me, "better than Potter?" he asked with a smirk. I jokingly pushed him away and sat down to write Harry a letter about how I'd be canceling our date last minute.

I spent a great deal of time learning about various scripts, however this has been to the detriment of my ability to create new original ones as they have been too closely associated with existing ones.

I heard from them you may have advice, and i thank you wether you do or do not as long as you answer.

Hi! So to introduce myself briefly I do type design & calligraphy and something I do often is learn historic scripts and styles from manuscripts etc and thats how I get feels for things. I think if you learn more about different styles of the scripts and notice patterns it'd help u make more original looking scripts. In any case, here are some of my general advices on creating & learning scripts:

1. scripts have rhythm, visually and in stylus movement

Scripts tend to have repeated elements. strokes, joints, spacing, etc. For example, lowercase latin has vertical weight between the baseline and the x height, and this is its natural resting space. Occasionally letters have ascenders and descenders. horizontally, letters have semi-evenly spaced downstrokes (see letters like m and n) with the writing pattern of ↓→↓→ etc.

2. "Intermediate stage" does not exist.

Something that people do commonly while evolving a script is that they create intermediate stages that do not have patterns or rhythms, but these intermediate scripts should be on their own self contained systems

3. Scripts have multiple styles simultaneously that influence each other.

Scripts don't simply evolve linearly. Modern latin has so many styles and that is the case for most scripts. Modern Greek letterforms are a fusion of original Greek minuscule forms and forms evolved from uncial (sigma has both, with the final form deriving from uncial)

4. Consider the motion of the pen

Some nib shapes make it harder to draw strokes in certain directions, and in general strokes going from left to right and top to bottom are more common because generally it is easier to pull than push. some writing utensils allow you to write in any direction, and often from switching from the former systems to the latter, scripts gain seeminglt redundant and complex looking connective strokes. (think javanese and copperplate calligraphy) Limiting stroke directions also helps with consistent writing rhythm. (try drawing a square multiple times with one stroke in one direction, you will find that it is significantly harder to keep it square than breaking it up into multiple strokes) (Note: Contrary to popular belief writing on leaves isnt what makes indic scripts look loopy and geometric, it is the unfamiliarity with the various scripts by people who perpetuate this myth)

5. Different styles with different quirks may be used for different purposes

Short titles and signs may use bold and ornate styles (black letter, lombardic capitals, aksar mul, bold cleric script, kanteiryu, kufic) or archaic styles (roman capitals, seal script).

Formal body text may use either space-efficient blocky styles (black letter, uncial, cleric script, jain nagari style) or more balanced organic styles (humanist, regular script, etc).

Informal body text may use semicursive (italic, bâtarde, running script, etc) or cursive (grass script, etc)

6. Don't trust online sources on script evolution

study your manuscripts and form ur own perception of things cause so many people are Wrong on the internet

Now for a more practical example, this is how i made Ekavathian:

I came up with this asemic sketch, borrowing the rhythm from Javanese and the diagonals from Lontara.

We felt that this was too visually cluttered, so I simplified the shapes and picked letters.

I iterated on it, writing text to see how it feels and making the letters feel more natural to write

I began working on the font, and I started with the square thing and expanded from there. I wanted it to have an indic pen angle with some stroke modulation

I settled on this for the stroke pattern. Feels natural for the kind of shapes i have.

This is my handwriting after making the font (brainstorming cursive idea) and its kinda funny how I got better at writing a completely made up script lol

Yeah RWBY'S very empowering, like when Miles and Kerry stated how they didn't see them as four women or female but awkward teenagers and then Miles made the Tweet about Tifa vs Yang "my money's on the hot one." Or the Ruby rose body pillow, 15 year old girl on a body pillow.

The things you're telling me goes without saying, however Jaune is a stigma of doing ensemble cast WRONG, because Miles latched onto him he got way more screen-time and writing than the actual proatgonist do, Look at the Hbomberguy, video, the JelloApocoypes one, Fatmanalling, Sickslickproductions even ew...hero hei... so many people coming to the exact same conclusion of ruby and the others barely getting the time they need.

Jaune's growth is explained my my last post, if you didn't pay attention that's not my fault, but anyone who can read or watch the crappy show, Jaune's a lazy asshole , a hypocrite and a creepy stalker- the show doesn't NEED that type of character

Regarding "Strong male aliies." Which jaune isn't btw. I mentioned in my last post the many media that have strong supporting male characters, another thing that goes without saying, Jaune however adds nothing for the series another characters like ruby or some other guy could add, he's just a sad white guy they wanted to make cool and it annoys me you people latch onto like you do.

My POINT here is that first off having the fairy tale inspirations didn't amount to anything, and weather or not they made it 1 to 1 they still used a real person then gender swapped them into the worst character ever. My point is no matter who- I don't care if you're the best writer on the planet, stay away from adapting real people, and I've held this stance since I saw Anime girl Ben franklin.

And my other point is that the series could of worked exactly the same if Jaune was Joan or Joann - I mean you just said the show needed strong ensemble cast members so Jaune as a woman could of still worked.

No he's not an underdog, that's how Miles described him, he's a Incel. People ROOT for underdogs, even sokka his inspiration,was a kinda shit person, but Sokka gets funny jokes, he loves learning, he cares about his friends and is fiercely loyal, he gets called out and so on. You seem to be under the impression I dislike Jaune because he has flaws, and I hate Jaune cause his flaws grow, the series barely addresses them then he piles on more flaws and his behavior that would get a real person's ass beat is never grown out out. Pyrrha babies him and does all the emotional and psychical labor for this manchild.

I love that you constantly avoid his stalking btw, come on big man, point out your fave's real flaw with your chest.

As I said in my other Post it's not Jaune's fault, as we go on feels like you just skimmed it. But Jaune also doesn't help it either, Again you fail to realize, Miles projected and latched onto this character, and made him the focus on a show with four title characters. I'd agree he's not the root if there was ample screen-time for the other characters to point too, but there isn't.

I keep seeing "root" thrown around but people forget that roots have many points, Jaune is just one of the issues, that being Miles imprinting on him, it continues to go without saying that a better writer could make jaune likeable, work and not take up too much time- that's not what we got in the end. And the topic at hand was that the series could work without him despite someone else saying it wouldn't and I proved it could work, can't unprove it~ ^_^

NO IT DOESN'T

Jaune gets egged on constantly by Yang and Ruby that "one day you'll get her." despite constant prodding, it's not until Jaune sees her ask another guy to the dance he stops. But not before none of the girls ever tell a teacher, they never call Jaune out, none of his team ever do, Jaune just stops- you keep saying grow but I watched the show I can point to the stands and you don't show me where these measures of growth happen- remove the rose tinted glasses, your fave is terrible, creepy and the show doesn't address it in any way.

If I had to actually address it I'd have team rwby call him out, and then his own team approach him, maybe Pyrrha fall out of love with him, this behavior would of been addressed in a satisfying way. But Miles didn't see it as worth addressing, and all Jaune just is put on a dress and apologize to Pyrrha.

Dude this is dumb, you're talking down to me like I was born yesterday, I've grieved many of my friends deaths, family, other people and I never handled it by putting holes in people's walls cause you'd know how other humans would respond sir? They'd call me out, I'd have to pay for it, I'd get yelled at.

After all I watched avatar and they have very real human and emotional moments, they break down, lash out, and you don't see me having a problem with them, you know why? Cause they get resolved, people talk, the apologize, they grow, they make things better, the get called out etc!

Jaune and Miles seem allergic to even trying to say sorry, and that attitude will carry into people who like this shit show (Hell I talked to people it already has gotten that way with.) People who act like Jaune never did anything wrong ate dangerously stupid, not you them. But you see what I mean now. Accountability is what I want to see.

And if I put my hands on a child I'd get slapped some sense into, that's what should of happened. Also what are they grieving? All they learn ins their teacher is immortal and reincarnating (even though that's not reincarnation he's possessing them, there's no new birth but miles and kerry can't write and you're assuming they wrote it in the way your head thinks they did. When they didn't know what they were doing.) I'd be fine with Jaune lashing out at Oscar if again these "Imperfect humans" had an comeuppance to their actions. Oscar ends up looking up to his assaulter. There's never any fear, there's no apology, Oscar just leaves to go get new clothes and they assume he ran away like idiots- these are how people are written dude.

And many more talented people write these exact situations more believable and realistic.

I've talked with my friends, at this point in RWBy Jaune has already had these exact same themes explored from volume 1-5 and now it's just an older Jaune doing this exact same shit he did again- this point he's eating up screeentime.

I ran through a scenario with my friends that instead of Jaune falling in with team RWBY it should of been the newly turned sides, Emerald, that why she's bring tension and mistrust in a world of illusions and magic that already exist. We;d see they're being tailed by a hooded figure, too far to fully make either out. We wouldn't see Ruby for a long while; It just be Yang, Blake, Weiss and Emerald looking for Ruby. Eventually Emerald would earn their trust by taking a dangerous attack for one of the girls or even using an illusion to distract something dangerous. Thus earning their trust

Eventually the hooded figure would reveal a weathered and older Ruby who could finally articulate alot of the issues she's been having, Ruby replacing Jaune would not only be way more compelling and get rid of that creepy scene of weiss lusting after him. Keep it in your pants Kerry! But Ruby has suffered more than Jaune and consistently gets sidelined in this "female empowerment show" to show up nine seasons of repeated constant manpain. (btw I'm a dude as well.) It's time Ruby gets to talk about how she felt at the fall of beacon, how yang lashed out at her when they talked about blake during a quiet moment- all the pain and suffering she's been through.

And it could actually push the series forward cause they came to this stupid fairy tale to learn how to beat salem and learn of no ways to do anything, don't formulate a plan and don't learn any new techniques to help them. They got anime homework and didn't even take away that characters get abilities to fight bad guys with. Let her learn more silver eye bs, find a pot to shove salem's fat ass in, anything more than just more Jaune bitching an moaning.

I stand by him, ren and nora having the perfect exist in volume 6, RWBY fell off for many reasons, I have a list of them in my tag, I know what I'm talking about here pal XD But roots have many parts; tap roots, secondary roots and tertiary roots- and in those many points Jaune is one. Can he be fixed? Definitely! Make him Joan and don't let miles try making the show about him, hire actual writers and pay them, it all goes without saying and ti's all relative.

But when someone states that the series can't work without barf boy, oh ho ho do I call that a challenge~! Jaune's character is fascinating not because he lacks one, but because the writing of it is atrociously slap on the wrist writing. Jaune is barely challenged, barely has to listen to advice, or anyone tell him he's a piece of shit, he always gets the girl even if he doesn't want her. And as stated by the writers commentary in volume 4/5 that they write like idiots going "we gotta make jaune cool, we gotta make jaune cool" How about writing a decent plot and script? Jaune's too busy playing with his toys to realize that other people wanna play in the sandbox he shat in.

And Jaune would be more compelling, more interesting, more relatable if he got teared down by other characters and not by his on failures the characters constantly excuse or ignore. Let ruby tell Jaune that Pyyrha would be alive if he followed orders, Let ren speak up about his forge transcripts and how they'd be better off with another leader or how he took up a spot a real person worked hard for then slept in class. Let Jaune realize that if this is all he "ever wanted to be." Sleeping in class is freaking stupid.

You bet your ass when I got into creative writing I gave myself grey hairs paying attention so I didn't screw up and waste the money my poor ass family got me into college with. Jaune is handed most things and barely has to work for anything, and because of that- it just makes him less interesting to watch unlike a real underdog

Like Sokka or Ron stoppable, the Jaune done right! Hands down!

It's my joy and I'm not afraid to admit fanfiction is why I got on my high school's honour roll for English. I write for the Outlast fandom on this blog. On my AO3 [onwednesdayswemourn] I may delve into other fandoms, but this blog is strictly about Outlast and its many titles. I can write for anybody you wish, as long as the character themselves has:

I rely on the Outlast wikipedia, YouTube, and/or the games [I have all 4] to get a better idea of how the character acts, behaves and whatever else. This is so I write as accurately as humanly possible. In terms of requests, they're always open unless I state otherwise. If they're ever closed, it's because I'm either extremely busy IRL or if it's because I need to catch up and finish ones that have been sitting in my inbox.

She's also a prime asset, and does trials alongside Barbi.

CW: This AU has themes of cannibalism, murder and overall dark topics. It's Joker/Harley Quinn-esque excluding the abuse.

Reagent/You is the wife of Franco Barbi. Some fics/headcanons have you and him in Havana, some have you in Sinyala, still. Depends on the requests and ideas I get.

Same concept as the Maneater AU; the wife is totally kept vague.

Jessica Rabbit AU - Franco Barbi x Reader

An AU where you are like Jessica Rabbit; gorgeous and out of Barbi's league, and yet you've got Barbi at your side, his face full of your kiss marks.

Much like the other two, the character is kept vague. The only thing about her is she's tall and wears a glittery gown. It's like if you took Jessica and replaced her hair, gloves and facial features.

Vampiress AU - Franco Barbi x Reader

Based off of an anon user sticking Lady Dimitrescu and Franco Barbi [as well as Eddie Gluskin] into a room, this AU features a giantess vampire-esque MC/you and an obsessive Barbi who would literally shoot off his own foot for you. It's still in development and I'm getting some fic ideas in order. :D

I've been seeing a ton of proship/antiship discourse, and while I've only learned of those terms last year, let me get this out of the way;

I do not believe censorship in media is a good idea, but I also do not like or encourage the writing of some specific topics [such as underage, zoo, etc]. I do not believe in harassing others over things they've written, however; I use the block button and 'block tags' whenever I see fit.

I've seen many antiship individuals tell proship to kill themselves, that their "sexual abuse isn't real", and many other disgusting things that have soured my opinion about antiship.

At its core, antiship is harmful and was made to harass people; its origins made that clear. As a result, I do not want proclaimed antishippers onto this blog, nor do I want them interacting with my content. Enjoying Outlast whilst being anti is irony at its finest.

I don't consider myself proship, but antis are not welcome here if they wish to harass and wish death on people. That is disgusting. If you have "proship DNI", or worse, "proship KYS" on your blog, you'll not only be blocked, but reported if you have the latter anywhere on your profile. I don't care, telling somebody to end their life is so...vile? Like how do you sleep at night?

If you're anti? I wish you well, but people on this blog, proship or not, deserve to feel safe and not worry about being told to end their life because they find Eddie Gluskin or Franco Barbi hot. I assure you finding fake murderers attractive is the least of your worries.

Frankly, as a writer of over a decade, those terms do nothing but start wars. I don't believe in or identify with either. I write horror, that's it. There's nothing deeper about it. See someone proship? Block and move on, literally no reason to wish harm on people you don't even know.

I also block minors due to the fact that I write sexual content, and people who reblog harmful rhetorics toward any group [the amount of biphobia I see on here is horrifying].

Yuca reads 'The Rumic Theatre!!': Those Selfish Aliens

First up, Those Selfish Aliens (Kattena Yatsura)!! Oh my god, I love this one. Like, I love all of the Rumic World One-Shots but I have a special soft spot for this one because it really shows Rumiko's skill and potential. This work was judged by a couple of mangaka since it was an entry to Shonen Sunday's "newcomer contest", in quotes because I forgot the actual name of the contest and I'm too lazy to google it but it's basically what it says, and the judges comments were more or less like "art could improve a lot but it is a very fun and creative story". And yeah, they're right. The artstyle is cute and nostalgic but some drawings, expressions and stuff feel a bit weak. I've noticed this in early UY too btw, there's this one panel where Lum is sitting on branch in a tree and the size difference and proportion between Lum and the tree felt really off. Of course, these are all things Rumiko improves at while making UY, Her drawings and expressions looks a lot more alive and wonderful since then, her size and proportion game is incredible and her artstyle is literally iconic and it's really satisfying to see how much someone like Rumiko has improved and it's really inspirational too. The story also showed off Rumiko's potential perfectly when it comes to storytelling, it's so wonderfully wacky and creative, a literal example of thinking outside the box. Like, the whole concept of 'a newspaper delivery guy gets abducted by aliens and then fishmen and then humans, who all place bombs inside of him, while he wants to deliver the goddamned papers and also meets this cute, awesome girl who was the fishmen's pet, but then the universe is in peril because of the bomb planters stupidity and selfishness (thus the title) and they form a truce and make sure the guy delivers his papers as safely as possible while the guy doesn't know that he's a literal fucking explosive and the girl hangs out with him even though she knows' is absolutely insane, like oh my god (I had so much fun typing everything in the single quoted section lol). It's so entertaining and it shows that Rumiko Takahashi has a bunch of great ideas with this being one of them. It's charming, funny, the characters are likeable and it just such a fun and cozy read. Also, I hear many say that this is the blueprint to Urusei Yatsura but asides from the Sci-fi themes, dappyamen, the title, Akane's flirtatious behavior being a bit similar to Lum's; it's not really all that similar to UY lol. Anyways, Kei is a funny protagonist and the gag of him being dedicated to his newspaper deliveries is so damn funny (on a related note: He's dedicated to his job, and he respects women, 10/10 man) and Akane (Rumiko's first ever Akane) is a lovable, strong and supportive female lead.

They are both also really cute together btw, made for each other.

Anyway, really enjoyed this one: 8/10.

Info for writer in Thai series fandom : Chapter 19 Mythical creatures

As the title says, this chapter will be about mythical creatures, specifically Himmaphan's creatures. There are a lot of himmaphan's creatures, some more popular than others. In this chapter, I won't list all of them here, just some, and I will just do a quick introduction and some random points I can think of, not their full myth.

This mythology is pretty famous and known across many regions, so there are a lot of resources in English already. So I think, just after a short introduction, anyone who is interested will be able to get more information quite easily.

There may be some differences between each region's version of it, but from what I saw, the differences are not that great. Especially if we look at only the character characteristics and not the entire epic.😆👍

นาค  naga

Naga is, in short, a big fantasy snake. There are quite a few types or ranks of them. They have four ways that they can be born. Opapātika, born and grows up immediately. Sansetcha, born from ashes and accumulated matter. Chalapucha, born from the womb. And āṇṭhāca, born from an egg. Water is their element.

Personally, I suspect that some of Nega's tales are of different origins from Himmaphan's tale but got mixed up when cultures merged. And that is the reason why there are so many more tales about them than about other mythical beings. But right now, I'm too lazy to actually drive in and try to verify that theory.

ordain บวชนาค When a man wants to ordain, there will be a short period during the ordain ceremony when the will gets called naga. The story involved is that back then, when Gotama Buddha was still alive, there was a naga that wanted to be a monk, but, in the end, as one of its requirements was to be human, he couldn't. So we incorporated this into the ceremony to honor him. There is a step in the ceremony where the person who is ordain has to confirm that he is, in fact, a human, too.

Water amount There is a belief that rain and water come from nagas, and the amount of water we get each year is determined by how many nagas are in charge of giving it. The more naga, the less water, because when there are more nagas, they start to be unwilling to do the work and want to push the burden on others. The maximum number of naga is seven per year.

Nakee is a pretty iconic drama about Naga. I never fully watched it, but if you are interested in Naga, this drama might be a good choice.

ครุฑ  Garuda

Garuda's appearance is part bird, part human, with a human's torso and arms and a bird's head, wings, and legs.

Garuda is a sibling of a different mother of Naga and an enemy. Their mothers are also siblings and enemies. In fact, the reason why Garuda and Naga are enemies is because their mothers made it that way. There is a lot of family conflict in this story. Garuda also eats Naga.

Garuda is one of the king's symbols. Culturally, the king is an avatar of Narayana, and Garuda is Narayana's vehicle.

(I tried to translate the word for this concept, สมมุติเทพ, but it seems like there isn't any word in English that fits.)

Queen Kakati กากี

Garuda Is one of the important characters in a famous tale about Queen Kakati. The story is that Garuda disguises himself as a man and goes to play a game with a king, and when he sees the king's wife, Queen Kakati, he wants her. So then he kidnaps her and brings her to his Chimplee Palace.

He slept with her there, and then one other guy also slept with her there. So the name Chimplee occasionally got used to hint at sexual things.

The name of the heroine also gets used for slut-shaming.

Just a warning if you want to read the whole thing. The story is heavily victim-blaming. All the guys in this story are trash, at least in the Thai version.

กินนร kinnon

Kinnon is described as a half-bird, half-human creature, or a creature with a human-like body but with detachable wings and tail.

Kinnari and kinnara are words that are also used to refer to the same mythical creatures.

We have a lot of variant words for each Himmaphan's creatures, actually. I think it's for poetry.

Suthon and Manora

Suthon and Manora is one of the stories that features Kinnon. Manora, the female protagonist, is a kinnari. She got captured one day when she removed her wings and tail during her bath with her sisters. After that, she met and fell in love with Prince Suthon. But later, Prince Suthon's family wronged her, making her flee back home. This tale is linked to the other tale. It says that Suthon and Manora's past lives are Phra Rod and Meree.

ปลาอานนท์  Anon fish

A giant fish that can cause an earthquake when it turns over.

นารีผล  Nariphon

Naripon is composed of two words: Nari (woman) and Phon (fruit). It is a fruit that resembles a beautiful girl. They have 7 days before they rot away.

คนธรรพ์  Gandharvas

Heavenly musicians and singers. Servant of a greater deity. They are pretty flirtatious beings and like to take a ripe nariphon for themselves.

I feel like they are always the asshole in every tale they feature.

นกหัสดีลิงค์  Hatsadiling

It looks mostly like a bird, but its beak looks like an elephant's trunk. The Hatsadiling is often used for decoration in cremation ceremonies because it is believed that it can carry the soul of the deceased to heaven.

There is evidence of the use of the Hatsadiling-shaped crematorium in the Lanna and Lan Chang cultures. But in Ubon Ratchathani, there is a specific tradition where they will have a person act as Sita performs the traditional Hatsadiling bird-killing ceremony.

There are a few versions of the tale that influence this tradition, but the highlight is that the woman named Sita kills a hatsadiling that has been causing trouble via arrow.

มอม  mom

The Mom creature looks similar to a mixture of many animals, including dogs, cats, geckos, lizards, monkeys, tigers, etc. It has long arms and a long, stretched body similar to that of a reptile. The color of the body will vary depending on the artist. This creature is prominent in Lanna art.

มกร  Makorn or Makara

It's statue is usually in a state of spitting something out of its mouth. It's look pretty similar to Hera. Often got mixed up with Hera. Some sources say that it IS the same creature as Hera, just an alternative name. 

เหรา   Hera

A mix of naga and (Chinese?) dragon, or a crocodile-like creature. It has four feet, and its face has both fins and a crest. It is sometimes described as a different mix, like with Garuda or a horse.

It's tale is that it tries to eat a naga but fails....

There is a statue of Mom and Hera that went viral awhile ago. It's an amateur DIY cement stair railing by a monk. It came out looking very adorable. they even got fan art and goods.

สิงห์  lion

There are four types of lion-like creatures in the Himmaphan universe. (Not included the lion mix with other creatures.)

Kraisorn Rajasribody is white like conch shell. Mouth, belly, and feet are red like it is painted with cinnabar mixed with mercury and sulfur dissolved in lac water. Live in a gold or glass cave. It is faster than sound and has a voice as loud as thunder.

Kala Sriha is black and despises being a lion-like creature. It is an herbivore. Not that it is harmless, though.

Tinna Sriha has a red body like the legs of a pigeon and is as big as a bull. Also an herbivore. Tinna means grass.

Bantu Rajasribody is like the color of a yellow leaf. This one is carnivorous.

We use them in government logos, and some of the universities (4) have them as Faculty of Political Science logos. Each university uses a different one.

I found this website when I searched for the English spelling of Kraisorn Rajasri, and it is amazing. So this chapter ends here, lol.

Don’t think you’re the only one I confronted about this, and admittedly, most of the people in Fandom really are Criminals, they just follow the thought/trends of “Since there’s many people are doing it so it must be Legal” when it’s not, however, I do not believe that ALL the Fans of the franchise are bad people, Mostly Yes but not All, lastly, if the OC’s truly are Original, as in NOT “Inspired” by other Copyrighted Franchise then that’s okay, in terms of Laws and Legalization that is, now the only questions is the Intentions behind them.

Confirming you’re indeed not from the UK so that the Laws about Copyrights wouldn’t affect you aren’t Justified Reason enough? hunter kayo's "species" is actually called a fiend (a term i just stole from csm LMAO) which is a very rare set of humans that are able to successfully be transplanted with a demonic organ. yes, yui is technically a fiend too in this case.

i have a love-hate relationship with the game don't mind <3 i still think back to these three fondly and i'll talk about their lore for a bit cause this is probably the only time they'll see the light of day.

the two sisters are inazuman-mondstadter(?) in blood, but in nationality they're both inazuman, and their visions have inazuman casing. however, maya lives in fontaine and miya lives in sumeru.

Mikoshi Maya (Wandering Princess)

players complaining about too many sweet girls? here's another one!

from the last name, maya is a descendant of mikoshi nagamasa, the human son of the oni chiyo that served the raiden shogun. that part of her backstory doesn't matter to her as much as it matters to her older sister.

maya's a spoiled and lazy child of one of richest businesswomen of fontaine, and she's also a huge hermit. but she has the power to dream of the future, and it always involves someone needing help. even though she's spoiled, she's very kind in nature, so even as a hermit she often travels to help those she finds in her dreams. she's a dancer and has a very pretty appearance so 'wandering princess' is the title she got from traveling the other nations.

ironically, her nickname in fontaine is actually the rumored hermit, from her tendencies to almost never show up. people see her so little some are convinced that she doesn't actually exist.

her future dreams come into play in an interlude quest.

Mikoshi Miya (Transient Swordsman)

mommy. her name's miya bc i wanted it to match with maya

on the surface, she's a kshahrewar graduate who specializes in mechanics, and she specifically works on machines that can bridge the gap between vision holders and non-vision holders. she's pretty relaxed and sisterly, but at first she seems almost drawn in on herself.

in her past, she was trained as a swordsman by her father, a mikoshi himself. she was considered the greatest prodigy for her time, and she was 'destined for great things'. this was for a specific job that would need way too long to explain but related to this job is the fact that they're a bit of a problem for the fatui. this, and her mother's relationship to the fatui, culminated in someone attempting to subdue her mother with a very special fire made from delusions. however, they mistimed the mission, and instead caught a young miya and her father in the crossfire, which lead to her father's death and miya's hatred for the fatui and for visions.

no matter how much people told her that she was a once in a lifetime swordsman, and how her skill was almost completely unmatched, miya gave up swordsmanship. her skill never saved her father.

miya is intelligent, and always liked making gadgets (her first creation was a mechanical train set at the age of seven), so she instead focused her efforts on helping non-vision holders, including herself, by studying at the akademiya.

miya only gets her electro vision in her story quest, where she confronts her father's killer. she also decides to take up a sword again because of the quest :D

Irina (Witch of Thorns)

mother. that's my name yes but it kind of fits her. i go by yna anyway so i don't really see myself in her JFKJFSD if miya's past seems like a lot this woman has a whole document just about her lore......

to summarize, she's actually gold/rhinedottir's "accidental" creation, something too long to talk about but trust me on this. she's her first child in that regard, and rhine actually tried to raise her like a regular daughter.

they got separated in the cataclysm and irina ended up in mondstadt, which lead to her considering herself a mondstadter. fatui shenanigans happen with dottore and she changes her original appearance to become the witch of thorns, a witch specializing in an artificial flower with medicinal properties. she changes appearances every other decade and pretends she's the daughter of the last witch of thorns, all the way to the present.

miya and maya are her very real daughters though. maya resembles her true appearance more, while miya resembles how she was when she was younger.

(i also have two men who work under irina, yuuya and a runaway adeptus but their lore is like wayyy shorter than the three and these gi ocs are already taking up way too much of the post...)

Lunar Clan

the descendants of lilith's eldest, nyx.

while all demons are descendants of lilith, there is one uninterrupted line of daughters that are genetically clones of lilith herself. while their appearances do have variation, they all one defining trait: pure white hair. in my lore, white hair is a trait impossible to have if you're a pure founder. the only founders to naturally have this hair color are these clones, who are called lilith's avatars. makes you wonder how carla has white hair, though not purely white. doesn't that make him special?

there can only be one avatar born from a previous one in every generation, and any other child ends up as a regular founder. back then, this line of daughters were the royal family of the founder clan, then known as the lunar kingdom when all kingdoms were comprised of founders rather than the subspecies that arose from evolution.

they were overthrown in an event known as the fall of lunacy, a coup d'état arranged by the final queen, scylla's adviser. despite being overthrown, their connection to lilith and scylla's own sacrifices continued to keep them in an important noble position. their estate is located the closest to lilith's tomb, lilith's resting place, a garden of forget-me-nots the size of a town.

another special trait of the avatars is the ability to control and summon butterfly familiars, all with a unique appearance. they can also take up the butterfly's form.

all avatars are assigned epithets at one point in their lives. in their time as royal family, they were usually assigned their titles post-mortem, but afterwards their epithets tend to be assigned some time within their lives.

in order of appearance and birth.

Lilith ; Queen of the Night ; Lilith herself wasn't technically part of the Lunar Clan, as it only began upon the establishment of the Lunar Kingdom, long after her supposed death. Still, she was given the epithet due to her reign on Old Eden, characterized by her absolute control over all territories, like the all-encompassing embrace of night.

Queen Nyx ; Lunacy's Founder, the founder of the Lunar Kingdom and the first to take on the last name Lune. Lilith's eldest.

Queen Raikou ; The Silent Queen, the longest-reigning queen, second to only Lilith herself, ruling for 700 years compared to an average of 100 years. Her rule was characterized by its stability, though quickly overturned when the event known as the War of the Fallen occurred.

Queen Scylla ; The Children's Princess, the shortest-reigning queen, Raikou's daughter, and the final ruler of the Lunatic Dynasty. Becoming queen at a young age after her mother's death, she followed her adviser's ill-meaning advice due to the widespread famine in neighboring kingdoms, earning the peoples' ire and contributing to the successful coup d'état. That adviser's family became the reigning royal family up until Giesbach.

Zarya and Krone Lune ; The Dawn and the Dusk, a pair of identical twins. They are the first and only case of two avatars being born in one generation. Due to magic being the focus of the Demon World, Zarya's interest in medicine and biology was seen as a disgrace, especially compared to her twin sister, who excelled in magic and swordsmanship. Zarya was later exiled from the kingdom, though was reluctantly brought back upon the beginning of the spread of Endzeit. She managed to quell the disease's spread all the way until her disappearance, just before the War of Prophecy occurred, which trapped all Founders within the Pandemonium and allowed Endzeit to spread rampantly.

Cecilia Lune ; The Spring Bloom ; Zarya's daughter, the end to the line of avatars. Founders' eyes don't reflect light, and merely glow. Cecilia's eyes sparkled like stars. Hated, then loved by the people, who grieved her death for centuries.

She was known as the human among demons.

extra fact: the divider icon is the lunar clan's family emblem:3 it used to represent the lunar kingdom as a whole, but upon the fall of the dynasty it became associated with the former royal family instead.

The Jill Valentine Problem

Okay so I know how the title sounds but please hear me out because I am a HUGE fan of Jill and thinks she deserves so much better than what shes been given.

It feels like in a lot of more recent pieces of media with Jill in Capcom seems to be completely forgetting who she is.

The main culprit that I'm thinking of when I write this is death island. Don't get me wrong I really enjoy the movie, and am re-watching it as I type this but there are so many issues that I have with it.

Namely the fact that they use Jill's RE3 model. The reason she was wearing the tank top was because she was caught off guard in her apartment and was not able to get into more appropriate gear. You have Chris there constantly in his uniform and Jill just wearing casual clothes.

She isn't the only culprit of this, with Claire also falling under the same trap but arguably it isn't the same issue as Claire was never really a soldier on the same level that they want to be portraying Jill as.

Also they talk about her Wesker mind control time. So its set after that. So my question is where is the scar? It would be visible if she was wearing the tank top but they simply didn't put it in despite them drawing attention to that plot point very early on.

In my opinion Capcom is too scared to change her. Largely because she is a woman and people are attracted to RE3 Jill. They have no issues changing Chris and Leon's models to make them older or give them different hair or facial hair. But Jill always looks the same. Same outfit, same hairstyle same everything.

Sure they have the thing where she doesn't age but that doesn't mean that she wouldn't change. After Wesker her hair is blonde, not dyed but permanent. I get she would likely dye her hair brown to reclaim the person she used to be, and that she would probably cut her hair again. But before Wesker her hair was longer anyway, so its not just that being an issue.

I really desperately want a new Jill design that moves her forward to where the other characters are because it feels so lazy despite whatever story reasons they give for it. It feels like capcom don't want to change her appearance so they're making up ridiculous plot contrivances to mean that she doesn't have to change.

I really want to see more from her, new looks.

I would honestly just settle for one new canon outfit, not just a skin in games. They give Ada outfits, hell she even got a redesign for RE8 (which was scrapped but they still did something with her look to show how much things have changed and hos she has matured).

I'm really hoping that we get to see more of Jill. Not just have her in more games but see more of her as a character, what she chooses and learn about her through her design. But at the moment its so lacking for such an important character that Capcom claim to be a main character.

They clearly aren't afraid of updating character models since they've done it before for every other character. I'm so tired of them being lazy with Jill. She deserves so much better for what an interesting character she is written to be. Its like they put effort into everything but her looks.

But that's just my personal rant about her character design because I love her so much and really want to see more of her.

An (incomplete) BG3 guide to AO3

I'm seeing a lot of folks in the Baldur's Gate 3 community who were inspired to start writing fic for the first time (or after a long hiatus), and this is wonderful! I'm so happy for everyone who has been motivated to create new art (fic, drawings, playlists, edits, crafts, etc.) by this game.

Since many of the folks now writing fic are perhaps unfamiliar with posting their work to AO3, I wanted to provide some basic advice. This isn't a step-by-step guide to making an account or posting your first fic (there are plenty of those already). Rather, it is a quick rundown of some unspoken rules or common practices on AO3, based on what I've noticed so far. I'm not here to tell anyone that they are formatting their fic "wrong", and standards will differ between fandoms anyway, but I have seen enough notes asking for feedback on formatting, tagging, etc. that I just wanted to offer this as a resource.

First, the summary box on your AO3 work is for just what it says: a summary (or sometimes an excerpt). This does not have to be exhaustive, especially for longer fics. It is there to give readers some idea of the content and tone of your work. The summary might contain a few sentences about the premise of the fic and/or an informative excerpt to hook the reader.

What the summary box is (typically) NOT for is author notes, links to the original prompt, disclaimers about how bad your writing is, etc. These can all go in the separate "notes" section when posting a work, before or after the main text (there are checkboxes to specify if you want notes at the beginning and/or end). If you are especially concerned that something about the content of your fic needs to be advertised upfront, you can put that at the end of the summary, but typically the tags and author's notes will take care of such warnings. A thoughtful, concise summary or excerpt will go a long way towards convincing folks to actually click on your work.

AO3 will display title, tags, warnings, author's notes, etc. that you include when posting your work, so you do not need to also put these in the main text of the fic. There's nothing really wrong with it, but it does make fics a bit harder to read if there is a bunch of extra text before the story starts in a place where your reader doesn't expect it. Likewise, there is no real reason to change the font type, font size, etc. on your fic from the AO3 default unless the special formatting is part of your storytelling. If you are (for example), writing an epistolary or chat message fic, you can use a work skin or other formatting to show your reader different font sizes, spacing, images, etc. This usually isn't necessary or expected for your average fic, and it may be hidden anyway if your reader is using their own site skin.

While you are obviously free to say anything you want in your tags or author's note, too many disclaimers about how bad your writing is or how lazy you were when putting together the fic will discourage most people from reading it. I do understand the urge to be self-effacing, especially if you haven't written much before, but a quick author's note saying something like "This is my first fic on AO3!" or "I'm trying to get back into writing" is far less of a turn-off than a tag or note reading "lol i suck at writing this is so lame". Consider before posting such a note that self-criticism often just makes other people uncomfortable or bummed out. If you actually want to share your work with other fans, avoid repeatedly insisting that your fic is no good because they might take you at your word. Conversely, if you are honest about your inexperience or the parts you struggled with but remain positive about sharing your work, other fans will be more excited to read it and leave their feedback, helping you to grow in the fandom!

Next, let's talk about tags. Honestly, I haven't seen too many issues with tagging so far, but I just wanted to point out a couple things that are somewhat specific to bg3 with its large cast and flexible romance options. Character tags should be included for major characters in the fic even if they are already part of a relationship tag. For example, if I tag a fic for Astarion/Wyll as a relationship, I should still include the character tags for Astarion and Wyll. This helps folks to find fics with a specific character, rather than a specific pairing. Maybe I really want to read fics about Wyll, but I actually don't care who he is paired with. If I search for Wyll's character tag, I might miss fics in which he is the main character but he was only tagged as part of the relationship. This is especially important because of all the different ways that Tav and Durge can be tagged. Even if I only want to read about Wyll/Tav, searching the Wyll/Tav tag might exclude fics that were tagged instead with Wyll/Reader or Wyll/Original Male Character, whereas searching the Wyll Ravenguard character tag should bring up all these options as long as the authors remembered to include his character tag in their fics.

To this second point, it is okay to tag your fic with multiple relationship tags, as long as they are all accurate and distinct. For example, Astarion/Tav (Baldur's Gate), Astarion (Baldur's Gate)/Reader, and Astarion (Baldur's Gate)/Original Female Character(s) are all different tags, and all three might apply to your fic.

Unlike on tumblr, tags on AO3 are managed by the Archive's army of volunteers, who combine tags with different spelling or wording but the same meaning. You should check that tags you are including are not actually synonyms of each other. You can do this by clicking on the tag, which will typically take you to a list of works with that tag, then clicking on the name of the tag again where it appears as the header of the page. This will show you information about the tag itself, including whether it is nested under (i.e., a more specific version of) another tag, and which tags might be synonyms.

The relationship tags Astarion (Baldur's Gate)/Reader and Astarion (Baldur's Gate)/Original Character(s) are different tags, but Astarion (Baldur's Gate)/Original Character(s) contains the tags Astarion (Baldur's Gate)/Original Female Character(s), Astarion (Baldur's Gate)/Original Male Character(s), and Astarion (Baldur's Gate)/Original Non-Binary Character(s) nested under it, so anyone searching or filtering on the broader tag would also turn up works tagged with any of those more specific tags. Sometimes you will be surprised by which tags are and are not synonyms or nested versions of each other.

AO3 makes it easy to add/delete tags on an existing fic without otherwise editing it, so if you've left out an important tag (or included multiple synonymous tags that you want gone), this is an easy fix!

When in doubt, take a look at the formatting and standards used by other fics, especially those from established authors. There are a LOT of resources on tumblr and on AO3 itself for navigating the Archive, so I tried to keep this post specific to things I was seeing in the bg3 fandom. I encourage experienced AO3 users (readers and writers!) to add to this post with your own observations and respond to questions in the comments.

gotcha gotcha. i hope you don't mind me answering this publicly, i've had this question come up a few times before! bee tee dubs this thing is gonna be image heavy, so you have been warned. also ignore my tabs i was too lazy to crop everything properly. just avert your gaze.

you can do this in a number of ways, but i'm going to use the basic "buttons" option to start!!!

here's my stinky example page. so impossible to navigate. i put my sections, so i have my things. idk i think i'm silly sometimes.

we're going to click the plus sign, and click 'button'.

when you do so, it'll put your standard button on your screen and it'll expand your customization bar (i'm going to assume you're familiar with that already!!!!) where you can first add how many buttons you want.

each button has it's own drop down where you can change your title/label, add your link, change colors and all of that. you can go ahead and change your label to whatever you want. i'll be calling mine "about me" for funsies.

second, when linking your pages in any format, you do NOT have to type the whole url of your carrd site; all you need to do is [hashtag]sectiontitle. so mine will be #page1. if you're linking to other websites, you'll need to use the full https://domain url or else it may not work. but to reiterate, you just need to link the exact section name.

my button options will look something like this!

once that's done, you can continue adding your buttons and changing the labels and URLs. to do that, all you need to do is collapse your button's options, selecting "add", and adding as many buttons as you'd like. rinse and repeat.

I've been going back and forth about how I want to adapt this guy in my AU, from the fire of FallFest to his inclusion in Help Wanted 2 in this universe. I have not really talked about Help Wanted 2 in this universe either so this is the perfect excuse to as well.

This is the first animatronic for Fazbear Entertainment. It was meant to be partnered up with another animatronic but that animatronic was slightly delayed so Carnie was just sent to FallFest. He originally didn't have legs and was given to them later. He was one of the few things salvaged in the FallFest incident of 1979 (which depending on SOTM, may or may not be a completely different thing now). He was brought back to Fazbear Entertainment's Warehouse and would slowly be picked apart until he was found by the Six Flags corporation and brought to their Texas location, which just so happened to be the home of Fazbear's Fright. Repairs were made and legs were given and Carnie was back in order working at the Fazer Blast booth, he originally didn't work there so they had to get someone to record new lines. The Fazbear's Fright fire burnt down an entire six flags and Carnie went with it, he was salvaged... what was remaining of him. He was brought to another horror attraction, but that one didn't even open.

Help Wanted 2 in this universe is an evaluation test. Fazbear Enterprises is hiring for many, many different positions across many different locations, and they need to find out what suits you best. You could be hired for other things like social media management, IT, or other technical stuff, but if you want to get a big job, you are going through an evaluation test with the fancy VR headgear. Carnie was added as into the Fazer Blast portions of the simulation as a way for people to deal with hecklers in a crowd. The simulation barely worked and people with qualities towards other attributes were given jobs that they did very poorly in. Surprisingly, despite there being code taken from the VR game, there seemed to be no incidents of a body swapping unlike the one time.

Carnie will be sticking around, but will probably be a background Fazbear character... like a lot of characters Fazbear owns.

Blogging

Is blogging still a thing? Do people still make blogs about their niche, about what they love, outside of what gives them notoriety?

I'm not sure. I feel like I always have so much to give creatively - so many ideas about things that would be cool, fun, or meaningful... if only I had the time. If only it brought in income. If only someone other than myself cared.

I have had so many ideas of things that I could imagine other people enjoying. I love to garden, it could be fun to document my gardening journey. I love to sew, I could document my journey learning how to do it well. I love my pets, and with 8 mammals... I could see people enjoying that content.

I don't do any hobbies or creative outlets for clout or other people's enjoyment. It's for me. But with how the internet, society, whatever you want to blame, is now, I can't help but always think: "What am I going to get out of this?"

I've never been good at journaling. I hate writing with my hands... I guess that makes me a true child of the internet. I love hand-writing cards and letters, but I hate hand-writing journal entries. I do love the aesthetic - I love the look of decorated pages, the scribbles, the experience of sitting down and writing in a journal... but I hate writing! It's too slow. I have too many thoughts moving too quickly - the pencil can't keep up. I type at the speed I think, it makes it so easy, so fluid, to write everything on my mind and heart.

Even though I know this is something I enjoy, I always think, what's the purpose? Why bother writing blog entries, who cares? When I was younger I'd start books. I'd have an idea for a princess book, so I'd open our family PC (and old windows computer... I want to say Windows XP by this point) and I'd open up Microsoft Word. I'd start with a title page, much like the image on this post. I'd make it a fun color or font, always 'by: me'.

And I'd start writing. I'd write a couple pages, lots of quotes and dialog. Then I'd get lazy. I would be too lazy to type out the full names. I'd always try to name the characters something that could be abbreviated, so Alexandria would be called 'A'. I'm not sure why. I'm not sure why it was so much work back then to type the extra characters. Nowadays I just do it. I type and type and type and it is nothing to me. An extra sentence in something that comes naturally is no extra effort. Isn't that odd? I even collect keyboards now, fancy thocky keyboards that feel so nice under my fingers, and are so cute. I enjoy the process. I wonder why that is what stopped me as a kid. I wonder where I'd be if life circumstances were different, and I kept writing like I so enjoyed.

I like being creative, I always have. I've never stuck to it. Even this, I will probably not stick to. I wonder why that is. Probably mental health stuff, life, so many things it could be, but it sucks all the same. This year I'm trying to stick to things more. I've started trying to vlog more, work on making videos. I want to look back at things I've made and see how I was at 24. I want to see what I cared about, who I cared about, and what my dreams are.

Somewhere along the way I think I've lost the ability to dream. I have this life I want, but I can't get there right now. I guess that's a dream. It's hard to not have it yet. I guess I should learn to enjoy the anticipation. But man, I want it now. I want to live that fantasy. I know the pining will make me enjoy it more, but I want it now. I have my plan to get there, and I will get there, I am just impatient.

I was always told I'm impatient growing up. I heard it countless times. I always thought it was a negative trait... honestly, I still do to some extent. I am an impatient girl. I want what I want and I want it now. I think that can be negative in a lot of situations. Does that cancel out the fire it can light in others? I'm not sure. I have this impatience to be something great. I thought I'd make a great famous person growing up - isn't that odd? I don't think I'd like to be famous anymore. But I want to be something people care about. I want to inspire, I want people to enjoy what I bring into the world. Do I have anything particularly unique to bring? I doubt it. But I have so much I want to do. I'm impatient to be great. I want to be the best at making videos and the best at gardening and the best at everything. I want to be the best me, right now. I want it right now. I am impatient for it. I just have to channel that impatience into practice. I have to channel it into drive and desire. It's not there quite yet, but it's getting there.

So, why start a blog with no niche? Why start a blog with no audience? Why not? Why not do that? Even if there isn't someone on the other end to enjoy it, I do. I like writing. I like feeling like people care about what I have to say. (Who doesn't?) Is tumblr a great place for this? I don't know. What defines a great place for it. Is a great place somewhere I will get recognition? I don't know. Maybe there are better places. Maybe it won't be here forever. It's here right now. My niche is me, my journey, my experience. Maybe no one cares, that's fine. I do. When I'm in my 80s and looking back, how would it feel to read my ramblings at 24, sitting on my couch with my two dogs. Will I remember the sensations, the weather? Probably not. It's so fleeting, this.
