#auntie/uncle in russian first name in german#auntie/uncle followed by their first name that is#i may be completely off about this because i never learnt russian politeness and etiquette beyond what a 5-year-old needs#but im fairly certain age difference based hierarchy is pretty important in russia so the aunt/uncle is also a title that acknowledges#the age difference at play and displays the due respect#in germany there's just much less family culture in general families tend to be smaller and dont come together as deliberately#and mandatorily to celebrate birthdays and holidays#like in germany one might go to a restaurant to celebrate a relative's birthday whereas in russia theres a commonly#known repertoire of homemade dishes (beetroot salad herring salad etc) and storebought ones (several cakes from a russian#confectioner's) that are appropriate for auch an occasion#so in germany theres not really a lot of strict rules about this kind of thing
