I’ll never get over how koku you campaign ends with ri boku going ‘okay, so I lost a close friend and trusted subordinate, but at least I found out kan ki’s secret weakness that will 100% allow me to defeat him’, and then that secret weakness remains a secret for years and years, and then as they’re getting going in northern zhao he reveals that it’s literally just ‘kan ki is stupid and he doesn’t even know basic tactics’, and then he still spends this whole fucking campaign losing to kan ki’s stupid made-up tactics

#ri boku is so so so Much as a character I have been overwhelmed just thinking abt him lately #he’s so serious and measured and generally humble as like the core of his character #that when he does have his moments of Striking Arrogance it’s always so …………………..#my fav scene ever of his is when sei refuses his peace terms and he has a Genuine Tantrum in the qin court #and literally storms out yelling abt how he’s the smartest man in the world #but god. how badly he’s fucking himself over here is becoming my fav sequence/arc for him. lol #contingent upon him not dying here though mr hara please have mercy #txt #kingdomposting #urgh also the ka scene falls into this category i think. he’s so cold there and for what #trying to save face about how devastated he himself is but the way ka just becomes entirely collateral to him as a consequence…#argh.
