"You're being entitled!" These bitches are asking us to fund their Hollywood-quality content dreams like Walt Disney pleading a bank he was in debt to to give him another loan to finish Bambi, a movie that did not see any monetary success until it rereleased seven years later. I have to pay so much big money in medical expenses every month that I don't have any "treats" (a starbucks coffee, a different subscription, etc) I can go without. I'm not the entitled one here.

Blasting Walmart and other companies like them

It's bad enough that in the last 30 years we have cut and taken away more and more jobs from people.

First in the auto industry, then in manufacturing, then in phone service and now we are taking away jobs that regular people, millions of regular people could do. I am talking about the cashier jobs at Walmart and other big chains across the US.

I went grocery shopping last night to my neighborhood Walmart and mind you I was just there a week before and in one weeks time they took out all of the cashiers and put in a do it yourself checkout, there wasn't even one cashier left, just all do it yourself.

That means if before there were 6 lines and we all know they never have all six open but let's say there was 4 out of the 6 and there were 2 shifts, that means 8 people just lost their jobs in this one store alone. 

Everyone is so up in arms about people on unemployment but here is this billion dollar company and many like them cutting millions of jobs a day.

And yet they get all the incentives, they get big tax breaks, and we are mad at the 7.45 per hour workers? Give me a break! 

Even before this I refused to self check out, my girls would fight with me about it but I would not do it as I was taking a stand. Maybe one person taking a stand doesn't matter but if many do,  we can change the world. Besides I don't believe that as Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King and many others, by themselves made a change so we can too if we stand up for what we believe.

Getting back to my gripe, first I refuse to take someone's job and make Walmart richer. Are you giving us a discount for checking out our own groceries? You are obviously saving millions by firing all these employees so where is our savings for doing their jobs?

Second, I hate grocery shopping and now I have to check out and bag my own shit? You gotta be kidding?

I will go to another store or order it online from now on but I refuse to make a billion dollar company richer while the employees you fired can't put food on their tables.

What is wrong with us, as a country? As a society? We have lost compassion, we have killed people's dreams, we have made people not want to work or do a good job at it.

Years ago people worked hard and got paid enough to buy cars and homes. We didn't have credit cars or debts like we do now.

But then we decided it would be a great idea to send all of our jobs overseas because they would do it for half of what we were paying here.

If we wanted our country to be great again we should have never allowed companies to outsource their stuff. We should have made laws to keep it within the United States so we made all the money and the companies could continue to pay decent living wages. We are cutting out all customer service jobs and replacing them with robots that don't work! Come on, how many times have you screamed the same thing into the phone 10 times and heard, we don't understand your reply? 

This is beyond frustrating why? Because they didn't want to pay for a live person. How many times have you called a company only to get someone from India or China that you have to repeat yourself 20 times because you can't understand each other? Again, loss of our jobs for cheaper pay and these companies are getting incentives and huge tax breaks to literally put people out of work in our own country.

And then we ask why does no one want to work? It's because they are over used, underpaid and definitely under appreciated. No one cares about their employees anymore, you don't even get a gold watch for all the time you put in, hell most people don't even make it there as they fire them to put in someone younger for less money, this is US capitalism at its finest. 

Don't even try to clap back… we all know this is true. There are no more mom and pop business anymore because the big guys came in and took over, so tell me what do you want these people to do? 

These people who don't know how to do anything else, who are trying to put themselves through school or the older ones who would like to not have to choose medicine or eating and have to continue to work so they don't end up eating cat food? This is the reality of what's going on in this country.

So let me ask you how are we helping them? Don't just give lip service to them and say they don't want to work, come up with an idea. Make a change against these companies, take a stand, do something.

So today my friends, I am here writing about this injustice, I refuse to bag my own shit. I, in my own way, am taking a stand. So what are you doing to make a change? 

Don't blame people because of the system, change the system. We seem to forget we run the government not the other way around, so we need to change it, change laws, take out the politicians that aren't doing the right things, we need to make it better, we need to make the change.

And as I always say at the end of every blog…

Prevailing power of Prayer

The problem today is that people don't pray, you don't ask God's advice on all aspects of your life.

You only pray for things, you pray when you need help, but the rest of the time you think you got this, you think you don't need to pray in all areas of your life.

 What we need to do is to develop prayer not only in our finances, but in our home life as well. We need to develop in our faith walk with God and ever underestimate the power of prayer!

See prayer makes you totally dependent on God as it should be. Everyday you should get God involved in your daily decisions, and realize that when you're not winning it's because you're not praying.

You have to pray the word of God but first you need to know the word of God.

Especially during these times, pray that God will give you wisdom, to listen, to hold your tongue, to give you strength. Even when you don't know what to say and what to do, it is then you need to pray. It doesn't matter that you don't know what to say to God, he knows your heart, just talk to him, like you would talk to your friends. Talk to him in your car, at home, when you wake up or go to sleep. I pray to him all day, I give thanks when I wake up, I give him thanks when I am driving home from the gym watching the sunrise. I give thanks while I am driving my car and a song comes on that reminds me of where I once was and how far I have come only with his grace and mercy. 

When you don't have the answer to life challenges, that's when you need to pray.

It is easy, just say to God I need your help, I need your wisdom, whenever you're confronted with a problem that is when you need to pray.

You're stressed, so you talk about it to everyone but him and you magnify the problem. Some of you are talking about your problems to more people than you're talking to God.You can get from God anything you ask for, when he comes first, when you're in the will of God, you won't worry. I know that I no longer stress, I no longer worry, I just pray and I let God worry.

Pray about this epidemic, pray about your job, pray about your business, pray about your relationships, pray about a deal, pray about your money, pray about everything... then listen to God's words.

You can't handle what's going on in the world right now and you're frustrated. You're afraid for you and your family, will you get sick? How will you pay your bill's? How long will this last? Look, you can try to do this on your own or you can choose to pray and see the amazing things that God can and will do if you give it to him.

Are you feeling anxious? Do you feel stressed? Do you feel like you can't deal? Can't breath? Is all that is going on in these crazy times getting to you?

Find happiness in God, delight yourself in God, learn to take pleasure in God, find peace in God. Pray to have a gentle spirit because you need to be gracious and not selfish and self centered. You need compassion, a kind heart, you need to love one another especially in these times of crisis. No matter what our differences are, what our sexual preferences are, our religious beliefs or our political stands are, we need to show love to one another first and foremost.

I have to tell you that your faith is weakened everytime you don't pray.

I love the bible story of the man God told to go to the river to get healed. He was at the right place, at the right time, but with the wrong attitude. For 38 years, he kept missing his God miracle because of his attitude. He was there and saw all these others getting healed but yet he still sat there, missing his.

It's up to you to determine how quick your miracle will happen by how quick you respond to God's word.

To help you out, I will tell you that there are 5 types of prayers you need to pray:

1- If anyone amongst you is in trouble...pray.

2- Pray the prayer for the sick.

3- Pray the prayer of faith.

4- Pray the prayer of confession.

5- Pray the prayer of righteousness.

When you pray and God speaks to you, you can take that to the bank, don't think just because you hear a no that will be it, but if you pray and if you have faith, God will turn your no's into a yes but it is always on his time and not yours.

I remember when I started this business, I tried to get on Groupon and LivingSocial, but they turned me down, time and time again and so I prayed, I sowed a seed and I put a demand on it. I told God if this was what he wanted me to do let one of them call me and accept me and the very next day after months of hearing no, they said yes!

Know who you are, you are the child of the most high God, so start praying and stop talking, listen, pray, have faith, work the word, and see things change.

Prayer will prevail in your life, if you start praying today.
