I know OP is never gonna be a cop again (and I'm fine with that because I think IDW Coptimus works well only within the specific continuity and the themes that were written in it) but like it's actually so infuriating that it's apparently Hasbro's mandate to make him an archivist/data clerk/etc from now until the end of time because I'm so fucking sick of it already it's been done like 5 times. We could have dockworker OP again (G1) or firefighter OP (TFA) or sports athlete OP (Marvel G1 I think) but NO it's going to be boring ass paper pusher OP from now until forever.

#squiggposting #but then again expecting innovation from hasbro WRT OP is a futile hope #he's the face of the brand he can never be interesting or revolutionary or edgy or complicated lol #like with those new toys that came out they couldn't even put 'inspired by the idw comics'#on the toys with one character who only exists in the idw comics (sen SW)#like how pathetic is that man. the idw toys can't even be called idw toys #having optimus as your fave sucks because he's too much of a brand name and cultural icon #and like the average hasbro executive/writer is not creative enough to make him interesting within the boundaries set for him #pretty sure the executive view of OP is just 'if he exists and has some slight variation of the g1 design he's good enough'
