I wish we had gotten to see more of daemon training jace. not bc I think it's relevant at all but simply bc I'm nosy
#hard to say exactly how invested he was in rhaenyra's children from her previous marriage#but jace would be the heir to the throne and i do think daemon would be invested in how worthy jace is#from that s1 scene with the fight at the banquet where he stop jace with a single raised finger#i think we can assume there was Some Sort of rapport there#there was an easy respect and authority there that makes me think daemon had at least some “parental” participation#and lbr even tho culture dictates that they refer to him as uncle and not father#as the closest male figure it would still fall to him to teach jace and luke some of the “man things”#all that to say this: i think daemon shared some of his philosophies with jace and jace picked up some of daemon's mannerisms#and i like to think about it....
