Not really a question but your opinions on the COTL fandom content is so true like I agree.

It's pretty much like the DCA (Daycare Attendant) from FNAF ruled over the FNAF tag around Tumblr for COTL: Everything is Narilamb. And for me, I have nothing against it. It's just everywhere. It's become only a breath of fresh air to find non-Narilamb content these days.

And the thing of nonbinary erasure is sooooo true also. Yeah, the devs said that technically the Lamb is up to interpretation but in a sense, they are still canonically nonbinary and it feels a little weird that people are sorta disregarding it reminds me of people disrespecting a character's nonbinary identity in another fandom I'm in.

Also the thing on topics that aren't pushed (ex: Lamb rightfully not getting into the Old Faith family drama and kicking both them and Narinder out) should be noticed more. There's so much people could weave into a story but it seems Narilamb is just the go-to, which sucks but what can you do.

Though regarding the Lambs gender my Lamb interpretation Solange uses She/They and I usually use feminine pronouns when talking abt them ( though if I’m just talking abt the Lamb in general I use they/them same goes for Goat ( my Goat interp technically uses any pronouns but usually uses they/them bc that’s what most people use for them ) )

My opinion on the Lambs gender discourse is I totally get why ppl would prefer to only use they/them for Lamb/Goat and I do agree that totally disregarding it is icky but I do think it’s a bit different than when people use non they/them pronouns for Frisk/Chara/Kris

Also I do agree that I feel like ppl should look more into stuff that isn’t tied to narilamb

I think abt Sozo and the fact he had a family ( one of his follower thoughts prerehab mentions someone named Mimi and I hope we get an answer on who they are ) and I don’t think the fandom delves into that enough along with the fact he’d be still struggling with shroom recovery even though the mushroom controlling him is gone

You know I wonder at some point if we're ever going to get seasons and cult of the Lamb

Like the lamb need to prepare for a firewood so their followers don't freeze or have to make a watering hole so for summertime so the followers can swim and not overheat

I love when it rains or is cloudy in the game and I want more of it

Dude I cannot express how excited I would be for a seasons update! I could see them doing something like that in later updates, but I think the mechanics for it would take a long time to put together; so if we do get one (unless they have it in the works already) it'll be pretty far out I think.

But the idea of seasons in game has so many possibilities for new content. Like home upgrades for making things more durable for colder/hotter weather, clothing upgrades for the followers (either an automatic shift through seasons that costs nothing, or you have to go through the tailor and make them yourself), and even a new line of doctrines related to stuff like cold/hot weather buffs, and rituals specific for certain seasons (like I could see something Halloween-esk with followers dressing up in random costumes for a day and playing pranks/giving sweets to each other). The idea of little vampire, ghost, pumpkin, witch, and zombie dressed up followers is so cute! And if you have the Bishops as followers, they dress up in their little Bishop outfits?

And they could even do something silly with the Purgatory function, in that every boss you fight has a different look in each season. Like I'm imagining Leshy in Spring would either be his normal look or it would be with camellia flowers scattered around his head, the leaves on his face could look like a holly bush in Winter with candy canes for branches, red/yellow/orange leaves for the Fall with webbing in his twigs (maybe a little tiny spider hanging from a string on it just for the funnies), and looking like a hibiscus bush in the Summer (maybe having a Hawaiian shirt pattern as the ribbon around his face too idk). Another fun little incentive for fighting the new Purgatory forms could be like unlocking different fleece based off the Bishops? Or earning specific seasonal decorations?

There are some complications time-wise I could see potentially having them hesitate though (outside of just how much work this would be to make). Big one being followers life spans vs speed of seasons changing. Either the seasons would be a day or two at a time to make for a realistic years passing, or we'd just have followers who last 1-2 seasons before kicking the bucket. If there is a seasons thing, they could also treat it as a different play-through style like they did with the Don't Starve collaboration. Like follower's life spans are extended, but keeping their loyalty high takes a lot more work because you have to be on top of making sure they stay warm/cool depending on the season.

Something I could see working pretty well though is if the Lamb controls the seasons as aesthetics in the same way they do the inside of the temple. And the way they upgrade the look of each season is collecting something akin to Sin like in the newest update? It might take away some of the fun of seeing seasons cycle naturally, but it gives the players better control of how things look in game.

I know this is probably waaaaaaaaaay more of a response than you were looking for, but I've thought about this concept for a hot minute now. I'll stop here though because the more I write down the more little details my brain comes up with, and I could really go on forever with this lol
