Denki Kaminari as a Boyfriend
Pairing: Denki Kaminari x F!Reader
Summary: t   h   e   t   i   t   l   e
Warnings: a pinch of angst, fluff, kaminari being a memelord
BF Scenarios Masterlist
BF Scenarios Tag List: @thedreadthreadanomaly , @seiiblue , @bean-queen-606
Tumblr media
im sorry but this is the gayest and hottest thing i’ve ever seen
LOOK AT THAT FLOOF
--
Love-at-first-sight kind of guy → he saw you and knew he’d found the princess of his dreams
Denki is a morning person; he wakes up super early gets dressed for school, then shakes you awake because he has so much to tell you even though he’s only been awake for 10 minutes
It’s rather nice to wake up to his happy grin every single day and then proceeded to be peppered with kisses until you finally roll out of bed
During the night, Denki moves around a lot in bed which makes a lot of static and mornings are usually filled with shocking each other and giggling until Bakugou bangs on the wall and yells at you guys to shut up
His hair is so fluffy and cute AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
HUGE procrastinator
“Come on babe, just one more round before we study/ start a project we’ve had three months to do/ be productive!” Your boyfriend begged, pushing his headset around his neck to talk to you. When you shake your head, in come the puppy eyes and you can’t resist.
“Fine. But only one!” You blush, pinching the bridge of your nose.
*six rounds later*
You’re asleep on the floor next to him and Kirishima, Sero, Tokoyami, and a few other randos were patiently waiting for him to join the game. Denki didn’t want to wake you soooooooo…
“Alright guys, let’s demolish this course!”
“YEAH!!”
Denki makes fun of himself to amuse his friends; self-deprecating jokes for laughs, but wonders if his friends actually like him or if they just tolerate him
Cloud watching from the classroom
Likes to zone out and live in his thoughts for a little while (usually during one of Aizawa’s lectures)
VERY affectionate
He just loves being around you! You make him comfortable in his own skin, make him smile, you tell him that he should stop making those mean jokes, how smart he really is, and how handsome and compassionate he is
Lots of cuddles, hand-holding, bad puns, zap battles (see who can generate the biggest shock to the other person using nothing but static), and piggyback rides, except Denki is usually on the receiving end
He is tactile and respects boundaries; Denki flirts with literally everyone, but if he sees that it makes them uncomfortable, he’ll stop
Is super proud to have such a beautiful woman as his girlfriend
You teach him how to be comfortable in silence, he doesn’t always need to be talking and trying to make people like him because he is well-liked! Denki tries way too hard! Your presence allows him to relax and be himself!
Arguments… just… don’t… happen. He’s too easygoing and he would never cheat on you. Plus, he just can’t keep a straight face when he tries to be serious
That being said, he can be serious. I won’t name circumstances, but it is a possibility
Very in tune with his emotions, gets attached to things easily, and is very emotional and clingy once he knows he can trust you
You can’t judge him. You’re the one who agreed to be his girlfriend so you can’t start judging his adorable quirky ways
Denki struggles with his confidence since he has lost many battles (sports festival with Shiozaki, final exams, etc, plus, Jirou is always making fun of him)
Your affirmation is more than enough to make him feel like the most loved person on this planet. You’re always there to cheer him on, encourage him, and comfort him when he’s at his low
It’s hard for him to fall asleep, so he talks to you until he does
Denki is actually pretty self-conscious because when he first developed his quirk he couldn’t control it so people stayed away from him in fear of getting zapped or having their phone fried
If you guys walk or drive through an area with a lot of radio/electric/transmission towers and/or signals, he gets a little nauseous
Denki is surprisingly good at math, doing division/multiplication/addition/subtraction equations quickly and correctly
Denki is also flexible; one day he was being dumb and he tripped, landing in a perfect split that made everyone cringe in wait of a scream from the blonde. When he got up and brushed himself off, linking arms with you, everyone was surprised he wasn’t screeching in pain
Writes you love notes that are really cheesy and dumb
Dearest Y/N,
Your boobs are the best
XOXO,
Denki
--
I found this corn flake and it reminded me of you
Love,
Denki
(enclosed was a heart-shaped corn flake)
April Fool’s Day prank wars
You two trade memes like baseball cards
“Hmm… I dunno… My meme is pretty fire Y/N, you got anything better?”
Denki likes to be read to because it helps him calm down a little bit and he enjoys discussing characters and possible relationships and outcomes with you
The waiter outfit from Two Heroes gets me every. single. time.
I’m sorry Kaminari, but you are the only “high-voltage hottie” I can see right now 😋😘

Secrets//Bakugou x Reader
Tumblr media
A/N: This fanfic is inspired by Sketchbiscuit on Tik Tok. So if you have Tik Tok then I recommend following them! They make really cool content and they also have a series that has inspired me to make this Oneshot! So it's all thanks to Sketchbiscuit! The quirk and idea with Bakugou is taken from Sketchbiscuit so credit goes to them!  Also thank you to everyone who waited for me to make this, and Sketchbiscuit you are awesome! <3
Also this story is more of a platonic relationship between Y/n and Bakugou.
Warnings: Angst, fluff, swearing, bullying, mentions of suicide, panic attack, depression.
--------------------
My name is y/n l/n, I attend UA in class 1A, I would like to say that I'm special but there are so many people in UA so I honestly don't think that I am that special. Though I do have a pretty rare quirk, its a healing quirk! I'm able to heal people by touching any part of their skin, the downside to this is that whilst I'm healing them I feel the pain too... I'm capable of healing pretty much anything, from Midoriyas broken bones all the way to Yaomomo getting a papercut! Luckily I have a really high pain tolerance so it's all good...
Except for the emotional pain, no one really knows the fact that I can also temporarily remove a person's emotional pain. The teachers know of course! But not anyone of my classmates, I'd rather that they wouldn't know. What if they found out and avoided being around me because they don't want to accidentally give me their pain? They know that I feel their physical pain but just accepted that it doesn't hurt too much due to my high pain tolerance, but if they knew about me being able to temporarily remove emotional pain? They could never get to know that, plus I suck at dealing with that type of pain. So that brings us to what's happening now...
---
Quiet sobs are heard from a dark dorm, looking closer, a girl is slightly visible her knees up to her chest, arms holding on to said knees for dear life. Her head is buried in her arms. Her h/c hair is a mess, her whole body shaking violently. Tears flowing down her face as the sobs get quieter, being replaced with rapid breathing as if she were barely breathing as she is crying. A soft knock is heard at her door. She stops in her tracks and starts to stand up, heading towards the door. She wipes her face from any leftover tears, hoping that her face isn't too puffy so it won't be obvious to whoever is knocking at her door that she has been frantically crying.
As she opens the door she sees a blonde with a black lightning streak in his hair. Yellow eyes looking at the door frame to keep him from looking at you.
-Hey, y/n I just wanted to thank you for comforting me during my panic attack, it really helped. Almost as if it just disappeared-
He looks up at you, seemingly confident enough to look at you. He stops mid-sentence looking a bit shocked as he sees your puffy eyes.
-Holy shit! D-did I make you cry after you helped me!? I'm so sorry!
He looks at you with a guilty face, how could he have made you cry and after you had been so kind and comforted him!? As if your mind is in another world you come back realising that he is seeing you post-panic attack due to you comforting him. You quickly try to come up with a lie not wanting him to put the pieces together that it was because of you removing his pain.
-Oh, what? I just got really allergic, ya know pollen... Yeah!
You exclaim, hoping he will believe you and luck seems to be on your side as he appears to relax, believing you.
-Oh really? For a second I thought it was my fault, you don't look too good. Maybe take an allergy pill?
He suggests and you nod in response, happy that he didn't catch on.

Movie marathon with the Bakusquad seemed like a good idea and honestly, it was (depending on how you see it). Movies where watched, food was eaten, popcorn and pillows were thrown, screams from Bakugou were heard. Perfect movie marathon for the Bakusquad! And now everyone had fallen asleep, you were the only one left awake but just barely. You were trying to find out if the girl in the movie was going to end up dating her crush or not! But you just couldn't handle it anymore and fell asleep.
You opened your eyes, you were on a stage, you could see hundreds if not thousands of people looking at you, your arms were restrained in what seemed like a big metal box, at the end of the box was a chain that kept you from moving from your spot on the stage. On your face there seemed to be a muzzle keeping you from speaking, it was extremely uncomfortable, to a point where your jaw was in pain.
-Kachhan!
You reacted, looking towards the source of the sound. "But wait my name isn't Kacchan? I'm not Bakugou!"  you thought but looked towards the source anyways. You could see Midoriya, he was at the edge of a roof, it looked as if he was about to jump off.
-Why did you do this to me Kacchan?
You heard Midoriya mumble. Tears were streaming down his face, his green eyes wide, crazed looking. They were staring into your soul as if they were immensely judging you. You were shocked, scared, horrified. What was going on? You tried to scream, to tell him not to jump, but all that came out were muffled screams. Moving towards him was also impossible, the chains linked to your restraints keeping you in place. You tried to move anyways, suddenly they came off with an explosion. "Wait, this isn't my quirk", you thought as you looked at your hands.
Suddenly shouting was heard and all of it was directed to you. As if everyone and everything was judging you with all the anger of the world.
-Monster! Villain! How is he a hero!? He's terrifying! He's not good enough! Bully! Unloveable! Evil!
You clutched your head, squeezing your eyes shut, desperately trying to block all the negative sounds and comments. Then everything goes silent and dark. You hesitantly open your eyes and look up, you see Allmight. He is in his weak form, blood everywhere, his hero costume is ripped, a visible frown and blue eyes piercing your soul.
-It's YOUR FAULT!
He screams, you feel extremely guilty. You start to gasp for air,  it feels as if your getting choked.  You feel more and more pain, your limbs starting to go numb. Vision getting distorted with black spots everywhere.
You wake up in a cold sweat, tears streaming down your face as you try to get your shallow breathing under control. You feel a weight on your side, you glance towards it.
Bakugou is lying on your shoulder, both of your arms touching each other. His eyebrows furrowed as always, a frown on his face, his eyes are shut tight, he looks extremely uncomfortable almost as if he were having a nightmare. He fell asleep and during his sleep started leaning on you. You quickly put two and two together and realise that you were feeling his emotions.
-You're feeling all of this?
You whisper, more to yourself than Bakugou, but you are shocked, "How can he bear all of this?" It's the only thing that you can think about. A tired sigh is heard from said male, his body starting to move from his slumber.
-The fucks going on?
The mumble is heard from him. He groggily opens his crimson eyes, looking straight at you.
-Oh shit-
You say, realising that he's looking at you and you looking at him with tears still streaming down your face. He stares at you trying to figure out what's happening, mind still foggy since he just woke up. You stare back at him not knowing what to do.  His eyes slightly widen realising that you've been crying this whole time.
-Oi, why the fuck are you crying?
He says quietly, not wanting to wake the others. His tone is aggressive but slight worry is evident.
-Ehm, i-its nothing important, seriously!
You stutter, partially giving away that it is an obvious lie. You wipe your tears and he shifts his body so that he can face you.
-Quit the bullshit, what is it?
He says. It sounds more like a threat than a request. This goes on for a while, Bakugou aggressively telling you to spill whatever is going on and you telling him not to worry about it.
-You're not gonna give up, are you?
You sigh, hoping that he actually decides to leave it.
-Hell no, just tell me already you dumbass.
He replies, crossing his arms. You sigh once again, knowing that you're just going to have to tell him the truth. Which sadly means that you have to tell him about the hidden part about your quirk.
-Fine, I'll tell you...
You say, he smirks.
-Fuckin finally.
He says triumphantly, prepared to finally know.
-You know how my quirk is able to heal people?
You say in a low voice. He nods.
-Yeah, but how the fuck does that relate to you crying?
He asks annoyed, you ignore him.
-Well, I'm also able to heal emotional pain but only temporarily, so like the person I heal won't feel the burden for a while, but it also means that I feel that pain. So during your sleep, you must've at some point have touched my skin so... I basically dreamt what you felt...
After your whole explanation, there's a silence between the two of you. The only sounds that are heard are the snoring and heavy breathing of some of your sleeping friends and the tv playing the credits to the film you were watching before you fell asleep.
-Oh fuck...
He says, breaking the silence between the two of you. You look at him, studying his facial features to somehow find out what he's thinking. It's his usual scowl, his eyes are looking off to the side, he looks slightly.... guilty and ashamed...
-Does you're quirk activate just by skin to skin or does it also activate through fabrics and shit too?
He asks, he looks at you once again. You wonder why he would be interested in that but decide to humour him anyways.
-Nah, it's just skin to skin, plus you have to be experiencing emotional pain at the moment my skin comes in contact with someones for it to activate.
You answer, still confused as to why he wants to know that. He then turns around, grabbing something. Confusion is visible on your face. He then turns around and suddenly grabs you, you feel something warm and fuzzy wrapping you plus a pair of arms wrapping tightly around you.
-Bakugou, what are you doing!?
You yelp. Then it clicks, he's hugging you and a blanket in-between the two of you so that your quirk doesn't activate.
-Shut up... It's my fucking fault that you were crying so don't complain, take this as an apology... You dumbass...
He mumbles the apology part, a slight blush is visible on his cheeks as he looks away from you, his grip slightly tightening. You smile and relax.
-Thanks, apology accepted.
You whisper.
---
The Bakusquad were walking to a café together for another after-school hangout. On the way, Mina and Jirou walk closer to you.
-Hey, n/n! What's going on with you and Bakugou? The two of you have gotten much closer lately. Come on, give me the tea!
Mina says very curiously, Jirou nods at Mina's request, also curious as to what's going on between you and Bakugou. You look towards Bakugou, his usual scowl on his face as Kirishima has an arm around his shoulder and Kaminari and Sero are talking to him. You smile, thinking about what to answer.
Ever since that night, when Bakugou found out about the second part of your quirk and you found out about his emotional wellbeing, the two of you had gotten closer. Bakugou would occasionally talk to you about his feelings and he would sometimes help you and try to comfort you when you had used your quirk to heal someone emotionally. You then got the perfect answer for your two curious friends, you smiled softly and replied.
-I guess it because we found out something personal about each other, that's all.

SasuHina- His Beauty and Her Beast - Chapter 5
Sasuke sat at the bar aiming to drink away his emotions; at least that had been the plan, instead he had failed to take a single swig of the golden liquid and found himself coming face to face with one conclusion about himself: he was an utter arse. Known fact!  Everyone knew it! Now, problem was that fact had never particularly bothered him before; until now that is. Actually until that damn Hyuga had come to live in his house he could be stubborn and say what ever he wanted without a care in the world, now all he could see was her hurt face! Hear her say his name in that hurt tone that only she can do. She made him feel emotions he hadn't felt since Naruto had had to beat them in to him! He laughed at the thought that Sakura should of made Hinata promise to bring him back, all those years Naruto had tried to bring him back to the village, all the years they'd fought each other. They had beat each other black and blue, nearly died in the process just so Naruto could knock some sense into him and make him feel emotions; emotions Hinata could make him feel just by saying his name a certain way!! Regret, guilt, hurt!
She'd created a whole room based around him, knew what he would like down to a T and what had he done? He'd emotionally shut down cos he realised the room didn't remind him of his mummy anymore, he sneered at himself. He was joke, avenger? my arse!
But he didn't want to be known as 'The Avenger' anymore, he wanted the people of Konoha to see there was more to him than that. Than his past. He wanted Hinata to see there was more to him than walls of anger and a past that was very hard to leave in the past! He couldn't understand why he felt the need to show her in particular. Ever since the day he'd saw her run to her younger sister Hanabi, the day she'd reminded him what is was like to have a sibling to love, the day she reminded him of Itachi. He knew for certain it wasn't love he felt for Hinata, maybe admiration? Jealousy sometimes, she had what he wanted; a sibling to lean on and unconditional love.
Sasuke frowned at his thoughts and walked away from the bar without having a drink. He had to make things up to Hinata if they were to remain friends. Yes they were friends, in fact he'd actually say he was closer to her than even Sakura. He respected Hinata more that was for sure, her mere presence alone didn't bug him, she didn't tip toe around him like some people, she wasn't afraid of him, tolerated his mood swings and he'd even bet the whole Uchiha mansion that if he ever was to voice his concerns to her she would never tell a soul. He realised he'd have to show her his appreciation somehow for all her hard work, however he was nervous he'd never really shown his emotions to anyone before...well positive emotions anyway.
He looked up from his determined stride and realised he'd been so lost in his thoughts he'd already made it back to the mansion. He could see in to the kitchen window from the path and saw Hinata in there. Slowing his walk he watched her for a little while busying herself, every now and then she would brush her cheeks with the back of her hands and it dawned on him she was crying.
“God dammit Sasuke.” He muttered to himself as he walked up the path. “sort it out.”
“Hyuga!” He shouted as the slammed the front door shut with his foot. He beckoned her over to him as he walked in to the newly decorated sitting room and stood in front of the fire place. Hinata hesitantly stood in front of him, where he'd insisted she stand, and played with her thumbs.
“Hyuga,” Sasuke made her look from the wooden floor to meet his eye, “I'm only going to say this once so don't interrupt me like you usually do-”
“I don't usually..” Hinata brought her hand to mouth realising she done exactly what he's just asked her not to.
“Hinata,” Sasuke whispered her name, “I'm sorry.” He signed, “I'm sorry I walked out before.”
“I-”
“Shh not finished,” Sasuke smirked and using his thumb and index finger pinched Hinata's lips together. “ I....Thank you....For all this.” Sasuke felt the words jumble in his mouth, the words he formed in his mind were eloquent and articular but somehow they got lost on the way from his brain to his mouth. “I er like the room, all the...what did you call them?” Sasuke moved his fingers away from her lips to let her speak.
“Finishing touches?” Hinata offered.
“Yes, finishing touches.” Sasuke smirked looking around the room. “My dad's chair looks great.” He offered uncomfortably. He was terrible at this!!
“W-Why did you leave Sasuke?” Hinata asked shyly, not looking him in the eye.
“I...” He trailed off, he was going to tell her 'it was nothing, then he remembered he considered her a friend and wasn't part of friendship confiding in them? Making his decision he guided Hinata to sit next to him on the new couch. “What I'm about to tell you does not leave this room understood?”  He waited for Hinata's confirmation and continued, “I got...spooked. This room, this whole house has so many memories. Most of which I've tried my hardest to forget...and yet I looked around the room and realised it wasn't from my memories. Some of my happy childhood memories are from this room -”
“We can change it back.” Hinata interrupted him suddenly, “I'm sorry. I feel like I've rushed you into changing -”
“I like the room.” Sasuke told her. “I don't want you to change it back. I think this is good for me, these changes. A new start, a fresh start.” Sasuke tried to control the slight smile forming on his face at the thought, “I have happy memories in this room and a lot of painful ones too, but changing it doesn't make those memories go away.” Sasuke looked down at his lap then, suddenly becoming wary with his words. He felt very strange and yet entirely normal all at once telling Hinata his thoughts. He'd never really had a confidant; every plan, scheme, every bit of information he could get he kept to himself, unless the information needed to be told to another to get them to comply with his original plan. Basically unless if telling someone something didn't effect him the y way he wanted and when he wanted that information was his and remained his alone. He'd never really trusted another person fully enough to be able to confess any secret to. Trust was not something that came easy to Sasuke, trust was a luxury he couldn't afford after leaving the village. But now? Perhaps it was time to trust another?
“I think you're very brave.” Hinata's words came out shy and more whispered than she'd intended. “I-I can't even l-look at the door to Neji-Nee-San's room,” She confessed her words broken with her trying to hold back the emotions building within her,“W-When I have to leave my room, back at the compound, I jump out my bedroom window and go through the gardens just to get to the other side of the house. If my destination means I have to pass...h-his d-door...” Hinata sighed heavily and closed her eyes trying to control the tears threatening to spill over. The pair remained quite while both lost in their own thought's, at least until they heard the sound of a window smashing from a different room.
Sasuke and Hinata immediately sprung up, both their instincts on high alert. Hinata had already activated her Byakugan by the time she was standing. Sasuke looked to her for guidance she was the one who could see through walls after all. Was it a bird? An enemy? What were they after? Who? Was it an attack for revenge? Why couldn't he sense their chakra? So many questions were swirling in his mind and yet both Hinata and himself remind as still and as silent as possible. They didn't want to give away their position.
Waiting for Hinata's instructions felt like an eternity, but in retrospect wasn't even half a second.
“I-I don't understand? She's running away?”
“Hn. Coward.” Sasuke muttered folding his arms. A fight might have been good for him, but he'd promised Kakashi if any trouble were to happen Sasuke would let him deal with it. “Probably some dumb arse kid on a dare.” He huffed in annoyance and went to go inspect the damage.
“Wait Sasuke. Something seems off.” Hinata grabbed a hold of Sasuke's shirt sleeve.
“Dumb arse kids.” Sasuke grumbled to himself ignoring Hinata's warning. He drew closer to the brick that lay on the floor with broken glass all around it.
“Sasuke wait!” Hinata shouted, but her warning came too late.
BANG!!!
Sasuke felt himself go flying back in the air until he hit something hard; the wall he could only guess. Having hit the wall so hard Sasuke felt his breath leave all too quickly. He was winded leaving him gasping and wheezing for air desperately. His lungs cried out for oxygen so much Sasuke fell to floor he could feel himself about to pass out any second. For a few beats of his heart he could hear nothing, see nothing, he could only feel the debit under his hands. Finally Sasuke took a wheezy breath and felt the blessed relief of his lungs filling once more, not only that but he could taste dust and even rubble on his tongue.
What the hell happened? Could this really be a dare? Or was something more sinister at work? Question after question flooded his mind, none however could move him but one; where is Hinata?
“Hinata?” Sasuke whispered to himself. He slowly pushed himself off the floor and stood unsteadily. Suddenly, like someone had pressed a switch in his mind Sasuke was able to hear even if it was only ringing. His vision too was returning, all be it a little blurry. He could smell the distinct scent of explosives in the air. After blinking a couple times Sasuke felt his eyes water from the dust, finally being able to look around he could see glass and rubble blown from one side of the room, where the brick that bitch had thrown through his window had been. Not only that, but where the window had one been, was now a large hole in the side of the building. Looking at the markings on the floor where the brick had once been to the destruction around him Sasuke could only draw one conclusion; a bomb.
“Hinata?!” He called out looking all around him in a circle, but he saw no movement, nothing to suggest Hinata could hear him. “Hinata!!” He shouted more desperately activating his sharingan at the same time. He might not be able to sense the enemies chakra but he knew Hinata's chakra signature.
There she was!! Sasuke frowned as Hinata wasn't even in the room, she was unconscious and being carried on someone's shoulder's by the looks of it. He had no idea who this idiot was but they'd just made themselves his enemy. They were playing a very dangerous game.
Sasuke stumbled through the debit, the blast from the explosion still having some effect on him. He tried not to think too much about his own injuries, if what he could feel sliding down the side of his face was sweat or blood.
luckily his ninja reflexes kicked in and by the time he jumped out the large hole through the side wall Sasuke was running after Hinata and whoever took her. With each passing second he could feel his strength returning, running faster and faster with each step. He silently thanked the Gods that this morning, and every morning in fact, he'd attached his kusanagi and holster; years of being classified as a rouge nin taught him to always carry your chosen weapon or at least have it close to hand when sleeping. Trust no one to have your back but yourself.
Hinata didn't know where she was or who was currently carrying her the only thing she could definitely tell you was she felt pain, radiating down her whole body. Her head throbbed and felt heavy, her wrists were bound together with a couple of cable ties, her ankles were bound too. That was when she knew something had to be wrong, for if Sasuke were to carry her away from the explosion what reason would he have to tie her up?
Very carefully she slightly opened her eyes just enough to peak through her lashes. She realised she was lay in the arms of the woman she had seen throw the brick through Sasuke's window. The woman looked almost unreal with her pale skin and white hair, which was strange in itself because there wasn't one wrinkle or marking on the her face. Her blank look only concentrating on what was in front of her reminded Hinata of her childhood doll, although the woman was more sinister and Hinata wouldn't be inviting her to any tea parties any time soon.
“Don't worry Lady Hinata, he will take care of you now.” The woman's voice matched her expression; emotionless. Hinata didn't know how the woman knew she was awake, but at least this meant she could open her eyes properly. If only her body would comply with her wises like her eyes, she thought to herself.
“He? Who's he?” Hinata questioned, try to gather as much information as possible.
“Our master of course.”
“I have no master.” Hinata spoke with confidence yet the woman only laughed at her response in a mocking and arrogant manor.
Hinata tried to think of a plan, anything that could help her get out of her current predicament. She knew she was still in the forest that surrounded the Uchiha district and wasn't far from the border of the village.
As they approached a beautiful waterfall Hinata didn't even know was part of the village or Uchiha district a plan formed in her mind. If she could distract the woman for just a second, she could use her chakra to control a small amount of water to cut the cable ties.
The woman began to jump on to the wet stepping stones that formed a path from one side of the large river to the other. Just as they were coming to the middle of the river and Hinata was getting ready to implement her plan, a strange sound came from the trees in the direction of where they had come from.
The woman stopped her progress wondering just as Hinata was what the sound could be. She couldn't place it; it sounded almost like a kunai having been thrown but louder. Within a second Hinata saw a flash of what could only be metal reflecting the sun, what ever was creating the sound was heading straight for them. The woman noted this too and realised quickly if she didn't release Hinata then she wouldn't have time to dodge whatever was heading their way.
Hinata felt herself being thrown into the air in such a way she was spinning making her want to vomit. Almost simultaneously she felt the arms of someone catch her again and the distinctive sound of something sharp and metal make contact with stone.
Hinata knew straight away who'd caught her, she even smiled and lent closer into his neck. She never knew his scent could have a calming effect on her, oh but it did now.
“Sasuke.” She whispered his name. She felt his hand grip her tighter, a sign that although he was still concentrating on the woman he was here. He had rescued her.
Sasuke stood on one of the stepping stones while holding up Hinata, staring down the woman who dared to try and take her. His kusanagi sword stood straight, still wobbling slightly where it landed  in the stepping stone between himself and the woman.
“Who are you?” Sasuke demanded the woman.
“I am of little importance. A mere puppet doing my master's work.” She answered without emotion.
“Who's your master? Orochimaru?” Hinata lifted her head and looked at Sasuke puzzled to the woman opposite. The woman however refused to answer Sasuke's question. “Why do you want Hinata?”
“I don't. My master does.” She answered matter of factly.
“Why?” Hinata asked.
“I am of little importance. A mere puppet. My master wouldn't tell a puppet his plans.”
Hinata jumped down from Sasuke's arms and took a step closer to woman, now she had freed herself from the cable ties.
“You must be of some importance for your master to trust you with this task.” Sasuke watched as Hinata tried to search for an emotion in the woman's face. He didn't like where this was heading, Hinata was far too kind. Always trying to see the best in people, himself included. Sasuke could tell when Hinata's words had sunk in and woman had realised Hinata was right.
Hinata had never been in a situation where she had had to call someone their 'master', Sasuke had. Of course he'd killed his to gain his power...oops. But there had been people like this woman in front of him that had worshipped Orochimaru, Kabuto for example. And now this crazy-master-worshipping weirdo was taking Hinata's words the wrong way! Instead of taking them as an ego booster which Hinata had intended, she was taking them as an affirmation that her master did believe her to be important and trusted her with his plan to kidnap Hinata.
With the crazy bitches mind drawing to it's conclusion Sasuke instantly jumped into the air pulling Hinata in to piggy back position, at the same time and with careful and swift precision Sasuke (and Hinata) landed on the handle of his Kusanagi. Sasuke watched as the woman's face went from emotionless to...not even human the next second. Her teeth turned pointed and mouth moved open like it was on a hinge. Her eye's turned yellow and instead of hands her fingers were now claws as razor-sharp as a new kunai.
As the woman brought back her hand ready at any moment to strike Hinata, Sasuke immediately took control of the situation. He knew he didn't have enough chakra to form Susano, but he did have enough to use the elements to his advantage. Sasuke immediately spun 180 degrees, while at the same time he shifted Hinata from piggy back position to facing him.
“Chidori.”
Hinata fell back with the force of Sasuke falling forward. She had seen him use his 'chidori' technique, knew that with the water on the stepping stones and around them the 'woman' would be hurt by it. She'd seen as 'woman' had raised her claw in the air and just as Sasuke had finished his jutsu she'd struck his back.
Hinata gingerly sat up from where she landed.
“Sasuke?” Hinata spoke his name with urgency as she shook his shoulder from where he'd landed on her legs.
“Mmmm.”Sasuke groggily answered.
Hinata glanced around her, where the 'woman' once stood was now a pile of black ash and what looked like burned logs.
“A puppet?” Hinata realised then, she hadn't been lying, the woman had in fact been a puppet! Not just mentally but physically too.
“Sasuke!” Hinata tried again to stir him only this time she noted the bright red slashes down his back and ripped shirt. “Sasuke you're bleeding.” She cried out and shifted her legs from under him she began applying pressure to the large gashes that covered his most of his back.
Before the war she had wished many times she could be more like Sakura so Naruto would notice her, now she wished she could be more like Sakura so she could heal Sasuke in a heart beat. With the little amount of chakra she had and basic knowledge of medicine Hinata was able to slow the bleeding down. Ripping the bottom of her own shirt Hinata made 3 make shift bandages and wrapped them around Sasuke's back and abdomen to keep the pressure on the gashes just in case.
“Come...On, Sasuke.” Hinata struggled moved one of his arms over her shoulder and tried shifting him to stand. “Let's...Get you...To the...Hos-pital.”
“Nononono, no hosssspitallll..Hommme.” Sasuke slurred from the blood loss.
“But you need-”
“Hommme. Pleassse Hi-nata.”
Hinata smiled softly at the man who only yesterday she thought was as cold as ice sculpture, now she could see why Naruto was so loyal to him. Sasuke had stood up for her, fought for her when no one else had even known she was in trouble. Standing so close to him she could even see why girls thought him handsome.
“Let's get you home and fixed up.” Hinata wrapped an arm around his waist, allowing him to lean on her and slowly they began to walk back to the mansion.

Asky Lulu back again! How much space is given to Lara's and Kurtis' approach to alcohol in your headcon? Core planned to make Lara an alcoholic after the events in Egypt. It's one of the few things I don't agree with them about. Yes, she's deeply depressed/hurt and a bottle of sth may seem to be the only solution; and she's too proud to seek professional help. BUT Lara is smart enough to know it's only temporary. I see your Kurtis more prone to alcoholism than Lara, to be honest...Thank you💗
Hi Lulu! :) Well, it’s always a pleasure to answer your well-thought, researched asks. Though you’ve already read chapter 2 from The Legacy and a glimpse of my idea concerning this is hinted here, it will be a honor to develop this a little more for you! :)
Tumblr media
First time I read about Core’s idea of making Lara an alcoholic after the events of Egypt, I rejected it immediately. I didn’t like it. Lara had been always to me like the prototype of strong woman, and - in general, this is not an universal statement - people who drinks excessively tries to drown their sorrows in alcohol to avoid facing their reality. They are weak, and Lara’s not weak.
Then, after a while, I realized it wasn’t totally a bad idea. I like to see human beings in all their perfection and flaws, the complexity of the human psyche. I just love that. They were trying to make her more human - tho I think she was already human in some ways - so that’s why I don’t think people who have called her an “ice queen” have the slighest idea of what they’re talking about.
In the end, Core discarded the idea and I’m glad they did, for it was too extreme. For her, I mean, not for other kind of character. But she’s always been strong, she’s always being in-control of herself, and ok, I might accept she can take a drink or two when feeling a bit down, but not to the point of becoming an alcoholic. That marks a person per-life - even if you overcame the addiction, it will always be a delicate matter to you. You’ll try to avoid it forever. Seeing a glass or a bottle with alcohol will be always a painful memory, a constant temptation.
Not very Croftish. I’m glad they throw aside that idea, and that’s why I threw it aside too. My Lara’s not an alcoholic, she’s never been that. She might have drunk a little after Egypt, but not to the point of developing an addiction. If she didn’t drink after crashing into the Himalaya’s and being the only survivor, while would she do that now? Just, nah. Her way of escaping things is adventuring, and after Egypt, she might have drink more than usual, and hide herself from the world in her home, but nothing more. The Lara we met in TRAOD is not a drunk. She’s perfectly fine, she even trades with alcohol bottles through the Parisian guetto without taking a sip - correct me if I’m mistaken, but you can’t become an alcoholic and then in only two years grab a bottle and not feeling the slighest temptation of taking a sip. At least, it doesn’t sound logical to me, much less in Lara’s case.
And I can’t agree you more concerning the fact she’s too proud for seeking professional help. She wouldn’t. This is 100% Croft. Bravo. Thats why I laughed my ass when seeing Laraboot going to that psychiatrist btw
Other idea was hinted is that, in a rage or amidst a drunk crisis, she sets fire to Croft Manor. I hated this idea even more than the first one, and I’m glad they discarded it, and so I did. My Lara has never set fire to Croft Manor. It’s her home. She’s not uncomfortable there - “Welcome back to my humble abode” -, tho she prefers, obviously, to be somewhere else, adventuring.
It’s also Winston’s home, and the home of each one of her friends that might need to stop by for a while - and in my universe, it’s also Anna’s home, and even Kurtis’ home tho he doesn’t feel like he belongs there. Lara would never do that, specially for Winston, who’s taking care of the place while she’s travelling. Setting her aunt’s inheritance and Winston’s daily hard work on fire… no, just no. She won’t reach that limit. I rather see her injuring herself before injuring others, specially those who worried about her when her parents disowned her.
So in the end, Lara might have drunk a bit more than usual in her past, but she’s not an alcoholic and she’s not enthusiastic about alcohol. And here comes the headcanon: she will pretty much despise alcoholics - when not directly pity them. For her, alcohol is a resource for cowards, for people who doesn’t know how to face their problems. It’s a cruel approach, but I think seriously it will be hers. It’s Lara Croft. She can be really cruel and merciless, and in this case, she is.
Not that she thinks she is better for not being dependant of alcohol, of course. Not that she totally rejects it. It’s just, it’s not a healthy habit and she prefers to avoid unhealthy habits, tho she’ll drink in certain occasions if the circumstances requires it. But not against her own will or desire, of course.
Shelooked down at the champagne glass, still half full. In Dubai shariawas strict: no alcohol, but these laws weren’t made for foreigners andcertainly not for the hotels where they were entertained. Still, she had nodesire to drink. In fact, all she wanted was to get out of there.

Now, what about Kurtis? He’s absolutely different to Lara. He’s been through serious shit during all his life - that doesn’t mean Lara hasn’t, but she has a different way to face things. Not Kurtis. He’ll drink. A lot.
Murti never mentioned something like this but he describes him as a “tough customer”. After knowing a little about his biography - the son of a Lux Veritatis and a Navajo woman, harshly trained in the ways of the Order - you can only imagine how much suffering that training could have meant to him, and how sick he got of the Shadow War, so that he decides to betray his people and run away… to seek refuge in the Foreign Legion. The freaking Foreing Legion, which is reputed to be one of the harshest armies in the world, with a really brutal training, composed by ex-convicts and criminals who seek to have their reports expunged, turning their former crimes into military services. A living hell. And he went in there being only 19 years old. Wow.
Of course he only stays there until he achieves French citizenship, then he quits. But even in there he’s chased by demons, to the point his own partners nickname him Demon Hunter after he fights a defeats a djinn in the Arabian desert. This is all Murti’s canon, not mine. It is there when my own headcanon starts.
Taking into account his background story - a warrior, a soldier, a Legionnaire, a hardened fighter - I wanted to develop Kurtis as a tragic character, a tortured soul. Being alcoholic suited him perfectly after that. My idea is that he drank - and drank a lot - during his years in the Legion, together with his partners, and he even won drinking competitions. It’s there when Kurtis develops a tolerance for alcohol. He might haven been punished by his superiors for drinking too much and not be in top form for the military service - and hell, in the Foreing Legion punishments are harsh, even to the point of physical injure, but, what’s that compared with his Lux Veritatis training?
He can take it, and he takes it. After winning several drinking contest, instead of dying of alcohol intoxication or turning his liver into a can of foie gras, he develops an extreme tolerance for alcohol. Just like Marion Ravenwood in Raiders of the Lost Ark, by the way.
Tumblr media
This is one of my earliest headcanons, if you remember :) He even uses his alcohol tolerance as a resource to get information, according to his will of always keeping a low profile, his past as a double agent and his choice of not using violence is he can achieve something in a more discreet way.
In fact, Kurtis still had his first glass half full while his partnerwas on his twelfth. He’d only wet his lips twice. “I can’t overdo.” He replied with a calm smile.“I recently had stomach surgery and shouldn’t be playing with this.”
At least, that wasn’t a lie. In fact, he had really good alcohol tolerance - when the fellow right there wouldbe on the floor Kurtis would feel onlya slight tingling; but it wasn’t time to get drunk, not even to sound moreconvincing.
- THE GOLDEN SEAL, chapter 17, This man will survive
So, we can say Kurtis does not become a drunk in the strict sense of the word - he could have not survived too long to that, no matter the Gift - but he obviously will drink without problem most of the time, and of course, he’ll totally drink when feeling down and depressed.
And I mean, really down and really depressed, for he will need a lot of alcohol to really lost conciousness. And he won’t achieve  it most of the times - unless he intends to make his own liver explode. And as we said previosuly, he has not a suicide impulse. He just wants to fade away. For a while. To drown his sorrows with alcohol.
That’s why he has a different approach of alcohol that Lara has - he’s no problem with it, and he doesn’t exactly  despise drunk people - he pities them at most, and they will remind him of himself most of the time.
Of course, I’ve always meaning high-grade beverages, and he will only resource to them in extreme situations. If you recall Café Metro, what was he drinking in there?
Tumblr media
Exactly. He’s drinking red wine, as far as I know, provided he’d ordered it and it’s not just a tempation dropped there by Pierre, lmao.
I am not an expert in alcoholic beverages - you know I don’t usually drink and when I do, I easily get drunk at the first shot lmao - but I think it takes a bit of taste to prefer red wine over whisky - for example. He’s just there enjoying a glass of French red wine - isn’t that cute, please - because it’s duty day. He’s not renouncing to a bit of alcohol, but definitely he’s not drinking bourbon or something like that.
Ok, this answer is again long af, isn’t it? Time to shut up. Just, long story short: no, Lara’s not and has never been an alcoholic, she might have drink a little more than usual in the past, but definitely that didn’t leave a mark in her. She’ll pretty much despise alcohol as a way of solving things. She’ll have her own ways to deal with problems.
Kurtis, on the opposite, while not being a drunk in the strict sense of the word, has drunk a lot in the past, to he point of developing alcohol tolerance. Most of the time, he’s in control, except when having a disturbing experience or feeling particularly weak, down and depressed.
But, what is a disturbing experience for a war hero, a lonely wolf who has dealt all his life with disturbing, disgusting and unpleasant situations? Obviously, every person, no matter how tough, has their limits and their buttons to be pushed. And he’ll react badly if having his feelings hurt or his soft spots touched. That’s why he used to conceal those feelings from everyone.
Of course, there’s a single exception for that rule, and this person can really push his buttons. And this is all I can say, for now.
Enough of this. Ana out
