okay. so if i was having, random example, kadhi and masoor dal and rice and roti with them, what would be the entree in this classification of oral consumption of nutrients. pictures not attached
I'm not sure if Chef John has any specifically gluten-free recipes outside of dishes that just don't have gluten because of the ingredients.

I would say the kadhi and masoor dal combined would be the entree -- usually an entree is also the most complex thing (in flavor and/or prep), and the sides are more basic (American example: a hamburger is more complex than french fries even if no one would ever actually call a hamburger a complex meal to cook).
Otherwise, the distinction is very vibes-based, admittedly.

Usually I roast them in the oven so I have the stove free for everything else. Sometimes I'll get those "steam in a bag" veggies where you just pop them in the microwave for like 3-5 minutes, but I really only do that with green beans.

#other tags I don't really have any commentary for. I think I've only eaten butter chicken once as a hello fresh meal. wasn't a huge fan#but obviously thats different from going to an actual indian place and getting it
