I may love The Song of Achilles, but nothing is better than in The Illiad when Patroclus looks Hector dead on in the face and tells him that he isn’t worth shit.
#The Song of Achilles is a really good book#and i highly recomend it#but Patroclus in that book is severely ooc compared to Patroclus in The Illaid#yeah you're going to kill me#but it took two gods and one other mortal for you to actually be able to#and there's a chance Patroclus could've been just a regular guy#I was snooping around the internet and there is a chance Patroclus' dad could've been a titan#even if it isn't true that's my canon now#because after looking him up titan Menoetius defiantly fits the bill as Patroclus' father#mostly because I just can imagine Menoetius crawling up from the depths of Tartarus#and just joining the argonauts sounds like something only the father of Patroclus could do
