it would be really tempting to say 'yes'... but i think it's complicated! if you showed it to him, he would probably dismiss it offhand because he's from 2008 and it's some weird anime shit. but if you made it a decent novel and lied to him about its origins he'd eat that shit up. he'd read the entire anthology in a single night.

also I think he'd be a stickler about properly pronouncing everything in japanese and saying everyone's last name first cause i find that funny. it'd be jarring to hear him ranting about the series in ludicrously fast French only for his voice to drop a few tones every time he says 「弾丸の精査」 without skipping a beat
