I was listening to eliquorice's Brave was a Disappointment again and just thinking about multiple ways it could go and thought how funny it was how it was kinda like an inverse of the first httyd book, in Brave, Diplomacy and Grace reigns as supreme power and the toxic masculinity still existed but was clearly inferior.

But Brave's world also promotes its own stagnation, where its just an endless cycle of the past, prejudice and bigotry of the clans against each other even if they are "united" or at "peace" rn and Elinor is far too focused on the tradition continuing, thinking marriage is just the slap solution to continue the peace and unity when its not.

Merida got the idea to rebel within the framework of society and still play by her mother's rules, but she had a lonnnggg way to go before she ever reached her level, tho that doesnt mean she has to be exactly like her either. I think Hiccup would be a nice mentor and relate to that maybe? (Ill give u a guess where i got this pose from)

Oh hey, the story for those brothers and the kingdom falling apart with the use of a chess board sounds a bit familiar huh

And if we really have to do the magical parts of this, ive heard that in a previous script that each of the clan had a signature heirloom item that represented them as a whole, and it was a part of the magical spell. (Its also stitched into the tapestry and was kept all the way till the final movie) And theres a quick cut storyboard scene showing Merida collecting em possibly to prevent the magical spell so like, more bonus points on the two Collecting RelicsTM

So... you want a Change of Fate, huh?

Just thought it would be a fun crossover to think about... especially since there were some similarities (in those first 30 minutes of the movie)
