It's too bad "female rage" is a corny marketing trend now because holy hell does Gillian do good job of making you feel the red hot rage in her passages. Like many have tried copying her but it always come off as cheap imitations

#i think my biggest problem woth the female rage post gone girl genre is that none of it is female rage #its just....rage #gone girl and sharp objects coudnt be abkut men because it is directly commenting on women's role in society #a lot of the post gone girl books and movies just have angry women #which isnt female rage when its not directly centered on womanhood #there isnt anything special or unqiue about women being angry lmao #like go through the taag and you see a bunch of female characters being called female rage when none of their rage #is centered on their womanhood #i watched a good video essay that gone into thiz idk the name #but its very telling when you pick up a book and you get like THEE monologue and the main character is like #brad expcts me to be pretty i ahte makeup or whatever #and itt comes off as forced for markering purposes
