—
Today was, for lack of a better word, a crappy day. You woke up on the wrong side of bed, were so late to your job that you were reprimanded by your boss, and, to make matters worse, left your umbrella at home when you knew it was going to rain later today. Onigiri sounded really good for you right now, but stopping by your favorite Onigiri Miya’s tiny shop sounded impossible for someone without a car, as it was several miles from where you resided.
And so now you were stuck at home, sitting on the floor of the kitchen in your apartment, still not completely dried off from the heavy rain pouring outside. It also probably didn’t help that the sound of your stomach grumbling filled the empty silence every couple of minutes, along with the mindless noise that came from whatever you were doing on your phone. Some fifteen minutes ago you had texted the better twin Osamu Miya (you’d call him your boyfriend, but that’d be pushing it a little much; he and you were sort of teetering between the “talking phase” and the “dating phase”) about your troubles, but didn’t press the topic. At the time you had texted him, Osamu was responding back during his work hours, as he’d probably slipped out the door at the back of the kitchen despite it being the slow hour of the day.
Having nothing else to stare at the dim screen of your phone, you reviewed your conversation with him again:
y/n
>> :(((
>> i’m in the mood for onigiri!!!
>> but i only want ur onigiri
>> & ur v far from where i am
osamu miya
>> do u want me to do anything about it?
y/n
>> yes duh,
>> steal sum onigiri from yo kitchen!
osamu miya
>> no????
>> theyre for my customers???
y/n
>> am i not a customer??gimme
osamu miya
>> cant i just getchu sum pizza
>> Attachment: 1 Image
You opened up the image Osamu sent you and it was an extremely distorted image of his brother Atsumu holding a box of pizza. You stifled a laugh, then let it all out. You laughed, despite several tears escaping your eyes. Sure, you’ve had your share of bad days in the past, and this one could definitely compare to many, but the build-up of stress that led up to this day can really bring you down sometimes. You groaned, bringing your knees to your chest. There was no doubt that stress was one day going to be the end of you.
You stayed in that position for what felt like an hour, and it seemed to you that you had fallen asleep around twenty minutes into that hour, for you had woken up due to a startling knock that came from the door of your apartment. You paid some attention to it at first, thinking that it was most likely due to post-nap hallucination; however, a second knock, then a third knock came in. Getting up in fear, you speed-walked your way towards the door and looked through the peephole that would provide the fish-eye image of the figure who interrupted your nap. It was a sopping-wet Osamu, still clad in his attire from work, looking down at the puddle he was creating at the doorstep. You opened the door, and he looked into your eyes with a smirk that rested lazily on his face, holding up a plastic bag with his left hand. There was another in his right hand.
“Pizza?”
Selfishly, you whined out loud, “I wanted onigiri.”
“I didn’t get soaked wet through walking to your house for you to say no to pizza. I have beer too. I know you’re sad, so let me in,” Osamu explained.
As you began to raise a hand to protest his explanation, Osamu held up the other bag, saying, “I also have onigiri. So now ya gotta let me in.”
Flustered from defeat, you stepped out of the way and opened the door wider for Osamu to walk in. He took off his soaked shoes, so he was standing in uncomfortably wet socks. You allowed him to take off his socks as well if it made him slightly more comfortable. You took the two plastic bags from him, and set them and yourself on the kitchen floor, where you previously were. Beckoning the man to come sit with you on the floor, the two of you sat in silence as you began eating.
“You know,” with food stuffed in his mouth, Osamu began, “they say that silence while eating means that the food’s really good.”
Finishing your first onigiri, you scoffed. “Nah, that’s probably wrong. That jus’ means everyone’s eating and they’re bein’ polite. Who ever said that?”
“I did,” Osamu stated. You smacked him on the arm as you rolled your eyes, and he chuckled at your aggression. “Anyways,” he continued, “tell me how your day went. I can tell you were pretty sad.”
You hummed, before taking a sip of your beer. Setting the can down, you explained how for the past several days you had been building up a lot of stress and that this day was your “breaking point.” Osamu listened on without interruption, though he nodded occasionally to show he’s listening. Once you’ve finished explaining, or, at this point, ranting, Osamu placed a hand over yours that’s resting on your thigh. You glanced at him, and he’s got his usual blank expression on his face.
“At least I got you your onigiri.”
Maybe it was the beer, or the fact that you’ve come to terms with the feelings you’ve begun to harbor for him, but the warmth in your cheeks started to show itself. Lacing your fingers between his, your other hand found its way to your can of beer, which you raised. Osamu raised his own, and the two of you clinked your cans together. Laughter rang in the air, as it would for several hours more that evening.

Torrential (3/3)
Dean Winchester x Reader
Warnings: more cursing, more fluff, more Dean being totally in love and not knowing what to do
Summary: Deans tries to keep his feelings buried, but its extremely hard when Y/N is just so damn perfect.
A/n: I’m sorry this took so long to finish, i currently have the worst case of writers block and it feels like I've been stuck in an endless loop of zero inspiration. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy and feedback is always appreciated!
It was like some sort of weird drug.
That was one of the only ways Dean could describe his feelings. Everything was fine one second, and the next? You’d just waltz into the room and his palms would get sweaty and he would suddenly be stumbling on his words.
Okay- so more accurately you were like a drug, and Dean was addicted. He partially blamed Sam for this. He was the one that had helped him realize his feelings towards you. His little brother had got him hooked on the drug that was Y/N Y/L/N.
For a moment he also blamed the damn thunderstorm still raging outside. It hadn’t let up and with each passing day Dean swore that he was falling deeper in love with you. You would still sit with the door open while you read and every once and awhile you would just patter into the room drenched to the bone with a smile that out shined the sun smeared across your face.
You were addicted to the rain just like the older Winchester was addicted to you. You came in drenched with water and Dean stayed drenched in love. It was somehow poetic, and the hunter had no idea what to do with it. He’d never felt this way about anyone before.
You had gotten up from your armchair awhile ago, disappearing into the confines of the bunker to do knows what, leaving him to steep in silence as he tried to come to terms with the truth. Even if it had been days, he still found it hard to believe. Should he tell you? Or should he just keep it buried as his little secret until eventually time ran out?
So caught up in his thoughts, He almost didn’t notice your return until you were siding up next to where he was seated, the laptop in front of him going unnoticed as he stayed locked in the zone.
“Grilled cheese for your thoughts?” You smiled, offering over the delicacy you had balanced on a plate, earning his attention as he turned to look at you.
“You made me grilled cheese?”
“Uh, yeah? You seemed a bit out of it earlier so I thought what better way to gain your attention than to bribe you with cheese and bread?” You grinned, sticking the plate out for him to take.
“You know me so well.”
“I know.” Sinking down into the chair besides him, you crossed your arms. “You wanna tell me why you’ve been acting so off lately?”
“I haven’t been acting off.”
Raising an eyebrow, you swiped half of the sandwich. “Try again cowboy. You’ve been awfully quiet these past few days.”
Shit. Had he really been that off? He thought he had been covering it up just fine. Clearly that was not the case.
Dean let out a sigh, picking off little pieces of crust from his portion of the sandwich. He just had to try and cover it up again. Throw you off so you didn’t poke anymore. He was afraid that if you did he wouldn’t be able to hold anything back.
“Do you wanna go on a walk?”
and there went that plan. . .
“A walk? Dean, it’s raining.” You shot him a quizzed look, his question catching you even more off guard. “And no offense but I thought you hated the rain.”
“I don’t hate it!” He fired back, standing up and reaching for his coat. “It’s just not- my ideal weather.”
Watching him walk towards the stairs, you tried to piece together what was going on with him, only to come up blank. You couldn’t for the life of you pin point why he was acting so weird.
“You coming or not?”
“Sheesh, calm down. Let me put on my jacket.” Tugging the canvas material over you body you let your feet carry you quickly across the room and up the stairs, Dean grabbing the lone umbrella that stayed propped against the railing most days.
Holding the door open for you, you stepped out into what felt like a never ending downpour. Rain beaded down the paintwork of the impala, bouncing off of every hard surface. The sound coming from every direction except down and the storm drains bubbling with brown runoff from the lonely dirt road. There was a subtle swoosh sound from behind you and a moment later the feeling of water dripping onto your head ceased, Dean standing besides you with the open umbrella:
“You know, you’re probably the last person I ever expected to just get up and go on a walk with. You shun exercise.”
“Oh shut up. This isn’t exercise.” Stepping up the stone stairs side by side, Dean adjusted his grip on the umbrella, making sure you were both protected from the downpour- not that you cared though. “This is- this is a leisurely stroll.”
“Ah. Got it. . . Still not like you at all.” You shot him an amused grin before linking your arm with his and pulling yourself closer to the Winchester. Thankfully for Dean, you hadn’t noticed his surprised look when you did it, the tender action catching him off guard as he looked down at your linked arms. Everything in him was telling him to pull away, to sever the connection before he fell even further. . . But he couldn’t. It was like a magnet kept him close to you, making it impossible for him to do anything rationally.
The two of you walked in silence for a few minutes, the sounds of your boots hitting the shallow puddles almost being drowned out by the droplets smacking against the material of the umbrella.
“Why do you like the rain so much?” He suddenly questioned, shifting to stick his free hand into his pocket. “You never told me.”
And like so many times before, Dena watched as your eyes lit up, a soft smile pulling at your lips and making the corners of your eyes crinkle. “Why do you want to know?”
“Just wondering.”
“You want the long answer or the sort one?”
Dean shrugged, doing his best to act casual in the whole situation. “I don’t care. Whatever you want.”
You smile grew at his response, taking in the hunter as you did so. How could someone be so complicated and so simple at the same time?
“I love the rain. I always have. It brings life and fills the earth. It smells good too- it smells fresh. Clean.” You paused. “And the sound? People always explain it as a steady pitter patter but I always compared it to the crackle of an old radio coming to life. The rain has always made me feel safe and secure. kind of like you.”
You paused once more, looking over the hunter you still linked arms with, taken back by his expression.
“What? Why are you looking at me like that? Is it really that cheesy?”
“No,no.” Dean quickly interjected, the soft smile on his lips slowly growing, eyes full as he gave you his attention. “I just like hearing you talk about things you love. You get excited.”
At that your grin grew, eyes almost as bright as his. “And what about you, Dean Winchester?”
“What about me?”
“What things do you love? What things make you happy? Besides double bacon cheeseburgers and your car of course.”
Dean tried to hide the falter in his steps, almost soaking his foot in a puddle with the action. So. . . He may have dug himself into a small hole with that one small comment.
Quick, Dean. Give her an answer. . . Preferably not the first thing that comes to mind.
“Y/N, you already know the things I love.”
“I know some things. I doubt I know everything.” You corrected him, giving his bicep a squeeze as you did.
“I love hunting, and classic rock.”
“Dean, I already know those things!”
The hunter shrugged in defense, practically white knuckling the umbrella handle in a futile attempt to keep himself in check. “I don’t know what to tell you Y/N! You know everything about me!”
“Oh c’mon. There has to be something. Give me something that will surprise me.”
“Y/n, I’m telling you. You already know what I love. I can’t surprise you.”
With a groan you un-linked your arm from his, once again stepping out into the downpour, tilting your face skyward. “And I’m telling you: I sincerely doubt that.”
“You do know if you do that your gonna have to walk back in wet clothes, right?” Dean grinned, watching as you hopped into a puddle, the childish part of you shining through with the small action as you got distracted.
“Does it look like I care?”
And then before the older Winchester even had a chance to react to ripped the umbrella from his grasp and snapped it shut, successful drenching him in a similar fashion to yourself.
“Y/N! What the hell?!”
“It’s just water, silly.” You laughed, suddenly choosing to hop from puddle to puddle momentarily. “Sure, it doesn’t look partially nice from under the umbrella, but once you’re out in it, it ain’t so bad.”
Squinting through the sheet of rain dividing you, Dean took in your features. tiny rivulets of water slid down your face, dripping of the top of your nose and collecting on your lips. Your hair at this point slicked back by the amount of water it had collected as well.
God, you were beautiful.
“You.”
Your childish antics quickly ceased, your figure spinning around to face him. “What?”
“You asked me what do I love. That’s my answer.” He swallowed, suddenly finding it difficult to do so. “You. I’m- im in love with you.”
It was almost painful to stand there and watch you. Your eyes widened and you froze in the middle of a particularly big puddle, the last of the ripples you had made slowly beginning to fade. You blinked. Once. Twice.
“Okay, you gonna say something or you just gonna stand there and make me feel even more uncomfortable than I already am?”
You stayed silent for another minute, successfully stunned to silence by his words. Dean Winchester. . . In love with you?
“Me?”
“Yes, You.”
“Are you sure? I’m fucking crazy.”
“Yes, I’m damn sure. Why do you think I’ve been so quiet lately?” He paused, drawing in a breath.
“That’s why you were so quiet?! I thought you were mad at me!”
“I wasn’t mad at you!” Stomping through the small puddles, Dean came to a halt in front of you, wiping the rain from his vision, even if it only lasted a moment. “I just- I didn’t know what to do. I love you- I’ve been in love with you Y/N. Probably long before I even realized I was.” It was like the rain was a whole different kind of liquid courage, because like a switch being flicked the words just flowed out easily.
There was silence from your end again as you took in his words and then slowly but surely a smile spread across your face. “Dean.”
“What?”
“Well, I thought we were saying things we loved, right?”
It took a minute for the gears to click into place in his brain but you could pinpoint the moment they aligned, Deans eyes widening at the realization. “Wait- you-“ he never finished because you quickly flung your arms around him, and sweetly pressed your lips against his.
And then the bastard slipped. He fucking slipped. You don’t know how but all off a sudden his arms were around you, and his feet went out from underneath him, and Dean Winchester successfully pulled you to the muddy earth with him, your heads bonking during the decent as you let out a yell.
Except this time the hunter softened your fall as you landed on his chest, earning a harsh oof from him.
“Oh god, I’m sorry-“ bracing your hands on either side of his head, you pushed most of your body weight off him, your face hovering bunches from his own.
“You okay?”
“I’m okay. Are you? I think I crushed your lungs.” The words slowly fading on your lips as you quickly lost yourself in his eyes.
“Y/N.”
“Dean.” His name left your lips breathlessly, and then his arms snakes around your waist and pulled you flush against him, and you were kissing again. Dean swore he could taste the rainwater on your lips, and they were even more lush then they looked. His hands curled along your back, tracing your shape as he did.
Okay- so maybe you were right. The real thing wasn’t so bad once you stepped out into the downpour. It might be unsettling at first- but the feeling soon melts away.

Maybe love is like rain. Sometimes gentle, sometimes torrential, flooding, eroding, joyful, steady, filling the earth, collecting in underground springs. When it rains, when we love, life grows. - Carol Gilligan

First Rain
I made this a while ago and I keep forgetting to post it essentially its just when the slinkies first experience with rain, its kinda long so I put it under a read more.
Somehow you wake up well before your two bedmates, which is definitely rare on your days off but their probably still tuckered out from your guys outing at funland yesterday. Somehow they managed not to destroy anything, but that might’ve because you told them no kisses if they break something this time. You decide to get a start to the day seeing that it’s 9 but also mainly because your hungry, but to do that you have to get out of their grip first. Ever since Spinel and Spince started sleeping with you, you realized that they have a habit of wrapping you up in their limbs with you sandwiched between them. You didn’t mind one bit, in fact ever since they’ve started doing that your sleep has been amazing, only issue you have with it is when you have to get up. When you finally manage to get up and out of bed as your stretching you notice that they immediately snuggle into each other bringing a smile to your face, you decide to take a picture on your phone to save the moment ( and to tease em later but they don’t need to know that).
On your way to the kitchen you look outside and notice the dark grey sky and realize it's going to rain at some point in the day, declaring today an inside cuddle day you move to get some breakfast started for the three of you. As your finishing up you feel a pair of arms wrap around your middle and a body and gem press into you from behind
“Morning” Spince whispers into your ear with his accent heavy from having just woken up
“Morning sleepy head, she still sleeping” You ask him
“Nah she’s up, should be out in a bit though” he replies before yawning
“Good, now set up the table for me will you” giving him a peck on the cheek before moving back to get everything off the stove
“Sure thing sweets” he replies before giving you a peck back and moving to set the table, right as he lets go of you Spinel walks in yawning before moving to hug you from behind just like Spince was not long again and nuzzling into your neck
“Good morning to you too sleepy head” you tell her while turning in her arms to hug her back
“Morning” you feel her mumble into your neck
“Alright sleepy head I made pancakes and I wanna cuddle today so let me go so we can eat” you tell her, she immediately perks up because she fuckin loves cuddles and pancakes
“Yeah Spins stop hogging y/n” Spince calls out from his place at the table
“Shush let me love em” She hisses while tightening her arms around you making him laugh
“Alright you two no fighting I’m hungry and I wanna cuddle and if you two start fighting I’m leaving this house to go find someone else to cuddle with” your warning shuts them both up immediately making you snicker. You give Spinel a peck on the cheek as you drag her to the table to sit.
After breakfast they help you wash the dishes before you drag them to the couch proclaiming “Since today is so cloudy im making today a movie and cuddle day since this weather makes me sluggish” you say as you push em down on the couch before running off to gather blankets and snacks
“Doll are ya actually making today a cuddle day or are ya just messing with us” Spinel questions when your halfway to the bedroom
“Yup, weathers gloomy so I wanna cuddle with you two all day while watching movies” You call back “Alright sweets, I am loving today already” You hear Spince cheer once you make it back to your shared room making you snicker, you gather up the blankets from bed before making your way back to the living room. You dump the blankets on top of them earning you a grunt from Spince and a yelp from Spinel before moving again to get snacks from the kitchen, no sweets though because your trying to keep them in one spot today.
By the time you make it back to the living room they’ve both already covered themselves in blankets while leaving a space for you between them as well as set up the TV to watch movies. You set the snacks on the table in front of the couch before squirming your way under the blankets and snuggling up between them. “Alright what are you two in the mood to watch” you ask them as you grab the remote from Spince’s lap.
“Can we watch some animated movies I really liked those” Spinel perks up “Yeah! I love those they always have pretty colors” Spince adds on
“Alright animated it is then” you say as you snuggle in between them while scrolling through your playlist.
Halfway into the fourth movie your falling asleep with your head on Spinels lap and your feet on Spince’s lap. You honestly didn’t want to fall asleep but with Spinel running her hands through your hair and surrounded by their warmth it's impossible to not fall asleep.
Although not long after you fall asleep you wake up to Spinel shaking your shoulder and whispering nervously
“Doll wake up somethings wrong” she tells you while looking around
“What, whats wrong” you ask her as you sit up and rub your eyes
“Cant you hear it its so loud” Spince whispers from his crouched position next to the couch. As you start listening closely you realize that its raining, and its raining hard. Instead of answering them you decide to have a little fun with them and stand up from the couch. As your making your way to the door you can hear Spinel whisper shouting to you. “Y/n, where the fuck are you going, don’t go to the door we don’t know whats out there” As you reach out to open the door you hear both Spince and Spinel shout out your name. You decide this is to much fun and continue to just pull the door open and step out onto the porch. As your walking out you hear both of them running towards you to pull you back in. When you hear them reach the door you turn around and meet their panicked faces with a grin.
“DOLL/SWEETS WHAT THE FUCK” They both yell out at the same time while pulling you into their arms. At that point your just laughing so hard your wheezing while their giving you the most concerned yet confused look.
“Uhh y/n why are you laughing after running towards you know, danger” Spince questions you as both him and Spinel tighten their hold on you
“Because were not in danger, look” You say as you turn to look out towards the front porch
“Um y/n why is water falling from the sky” Spinel asks you while turning to face outwards as well “Its called rain and it happens when the clouds carry to much water and they need to drop some of it” you explain to them
“Sooo, were not being attacked then” Spince whispers into your ear making you giggle
“No, slinky we aren’t being attacked its just raining really hard” you respond while getting out of their arms. You start walking towards the edge of the porch and they start freaking out when you move to step into the rain
“Alright alright relax you two look its not gonna hurt me its just water see” you tell them while sticking your hand out into the rain “see perfectly fine” you turn to look at them and realize their both still tense and nervous. You think for a moment and come up with an idea that might make em both relax. “Alright slinkies give me your hands” You tell them while reaching out for them “What, Why?” they both question at the same time making you snicker “Just trust me alright this is gonna get you to both relax and i have a feeling your both gonna like it” you tell them while reaching to grab their hands. Once you start pulling them out into rain they seem nervous but when the first drops fall on them they start to relax and just get this look of pure amazement on their faces that just fill your chest with warmth and brings a soft smile to your face. Although its raining so hard your soaked in seconds, but you really don't care considering you love the rain and your too preoccupied looking at your slinkies being amazed by rain. You decide to get them a little more into the rain by running towards them and jumping in a puddle near them making them jump from surprise “Sweets what the hell” Spince asks while he and Spinel shake out some of the water from their loose hair
“Yeah doll what was that for” Spinel asks as well “Well ya see the point i brought you out here for was so you can see just how much fun you can have in the rain, and one of the things you can do is jump in puddles” you tell them while you stomp in the puddle your in “another is just a more intense way of playing tag” as you say that you stare at them before jumping at Spince and yelling out “TAG YOUR IT” before booking it “HEY I WASN’T READY Y/N” He yells out before chasing after you while spinel is just laughing but not before Spince turns around and tags her while she’s distracted
“HEY” She yells out before running after the two of you. The game goes on for about 20 minutes until they both decide to team up to catch you. They end up cornering you and as you try to get away they wrap their arms around you and smoosh you between them, Spinel behind you and Spince in the front
“Tag, we win” they whisper into your ear making you shiver in response “Hmm i guess you two did” You hum back. You would move to go back inside the house but honestly you feel too comfortable and safe just being hugged between the two of them, especially considering since they started humming and swaying. As this goes on you lay your head against Spinces, chest right above his gem, and he rests his head on top of yours while Spinel rest hers on your shoulder. Your starting to get really sleepy when you sneeze, scaring the shit out of both of em. “DOLL YOUR GONNA GET SICK CUZ YOUR COLD” Spinel yells out after recovering from her scare “OH FUCK YOUR RIGHT LETS GET HER INSIDE” Spince yells out while picking you up and running towards the house.
“Ill be fine you two ive spent time out in the rain before” you tell them while laughing from how much they over react. Although you think its sweet how concerned they are for you.. “Yeah right doll, we aint risking ya getting sick” Spinels snorts out as she closes the door behind her.
“Pft i dont get sick that easily” you huff out as Spince drys out your hair with a towel and Spinel is going through your drawers for some dry clothes “And plus we gotta get ya warmed up Sweets we really don't want you getting sick we heard that its not a nice feeling when humans get sick” Spince tells you.
“Fine, fine, but i want cuddles to get warmed up then” you give in “We can do that doll” Spinel tell you as she hands you dry clothes. After your changed you hop into bed and they follow right after you taking their place on either side of you before wrapping you up in their arms
“Good night slinkies i love you” you whisper after you get comfortable between them
“Good night love ya too y/n” you hear them whisper back as your falling asleep making you hum. Although, needless to say you ended up getting sick the next morning and lets just say they said “i told you so”.

“Don’t bring yourstuff… Just show up…”
Youremembered the smooth yet frightening vocals of the villain that approached youlast night in an alleyway. He came from the shadows. The bottom half of hisface and under his eyes were horribly disfigured by what you assumed was severeburns. His hair was as dark as the shadows, but his eyes shined a color thatcouldn’t be labeled as evil. If it wasn’t for his icy gaze, you would’vethought they were beautiful. You didn’t catch his name and you didn’t bother toask him. All you knew was he was the one who approached you before. He simplycame to tell you what to do without lingering any longer.
“And we’ll helpyou disappear without a trace.”
Youremembered he said those words last night. He approached you with an offer youcouldn’t deny. His words seduced you into saying yes and talked about the goalsyou could achieve if you joined them. He mentioned the location of him, and that was what sold you. You hadto find him even if it meantbetrayal. He wanted to give you time to consider his offer, but you told himthere was no need.
“I’m in.”
Yourwords were music to his ears. It made his lips curled up ever so slightly. You wouldn’tcall it a smile. It was just a look of satisfaction as if you fallen into histrap. A look that almost made you believe you were stupid to say yes. But youdidn’t care. You had to find him.Even if it meant falling into a trap to get to him.
“That was easy…Meet me here tomorrow night.”
So,you did as you were told and prepared to leave. You decided to skip school thenext day. You lied to your mother and said you weren’t feeling too well. Sheeasily allowed you to stay home and you spent the afternoon preparing todisappear. You were in your room, packing a few things away. You knew thevillain told you to leave your stuff but there were a few sentimental things thatyou couldn’t leave behind. You looked at the photograph on your table. Especially…
Yourphone lit up again and your eyes instantly went to it on your side table. Youreceived a text from your boyfriend, Iida. It was another among many. Yourphone was just flooded with his messages. You left them unanswered ever sinceyou met that villain. You decided it was for the best. Iida would never agree tothis. And as you stared at the incoming text messages from your boyfriend, agrave feeling came over you. You realized that there was a chance you’ll neversee him again. And if you do, you’ll be on the other side of the coin. Youcould imagine the pained expression on his face. He would probably question youright away, begging you to get away from the villains. But it’ll be too late bythen. You would be already heavily invested in finding him.
Yousighed softly, and your eyes flickered to the photograph sitting next to yourphone. It was a picture of you standing next to a man. Your arms were aroundhis midsection while your face was smushed against his chest and a large smilewas on your face. It was as bright as the sun that shined its rays through yourwindows. Your sheer curtains couldn’t hold back the strength of the sun’senergy, like your smile that withstood all your fears and angers because ofthat man standing beside you. He also had a smile like the sun, his arms were aroundyour shoulders and keeping you close. It was so pure and bright back then. Anexpression that held hope for the future.
Recently, that man’s smile had changed. When you saw his face in the news, it wasn’t thathopeful sun of a smile you once knew but a smile dripping with despair. Bloodwas splattered on his face, but he still held that smile like he was drenching himselfin red rain. The news didn’t show anymore footage due to it being very graphic butthat ten second video they showed was enough to have you and your mother shudderingin your seats. It was a cruel reminder of the day he left. It was a cruelreminder of that despair you felt.
Thatman was your older brother, and since he left his family to become a villain, you’ve been searching for him. You finally had a lead, and this was a chanceyou couldn’t miss. If that villain with those scars knows your brother, that’smore of a good reason to leave with him. If it ends up being a trick, you’llfight your way out.
Yourphone dinged as another message came through. You grabbed your phone off thetable and it was another text from Iida.
___, I hope you’refeeling okay. You haven’t been replying to my messages and you missed schooltoday. You know as a UA student, missing school is against the rules unless youhave a valid reason for it!
Yourolled your eyes; a smile broke the frown that had settled in. It was just likeIida to lecture you about missing school. You expected him to be upset at youfor not texting back, but he was very understanding like he always was. Anothertext came shortly after.
And I’m at yourdoorstep. Please open up.
Youjumped out of your bed as fast as you can. Stumbling over air when you dashedto your closet. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no.You shouted in your mind, ripping your black hoodie off the hanger. You quicklyput it on and ran towards your window. You opened it and placed one leg on thewindowsill. You couldn’t be seen, not before you leave with that villaintonight and most importantly, seeing Iida would make you want to stay. Youlooked back and saw the stuff you wanted to pack but you didn’t have time. Onceyou heard the doorbell rang, you jumped out the window.
Witha grunt, you landed on your feet. It was only from the second floor, but youalready felt the pain in your knees. You hoped you didn’t make too much noise asyou were at the side of your house. You heard the sweet voice of your motherwhen the front door clicked open. Iida loudly greeted your mother, his backstraight in his bow to give her the highest respect. He was always so overlyformal with your mother. You told him to relax when he talked with her, but youknew it wasn’t in Iida’s nature to do so. He had to treat the mother of hisgirlfriend with utmost importance, and you loved that about him. And you’llmiss that about him.
Youswiftly climbed over the gate around your house and it alerted the dogs nextdoor. Their barks tore through air with aggression as if you were a burglar leavingthe scene. You tried to shush them as you threw your hood over your head. Theybegan to claw at the gate that was blocking them, foam boiling over their snouts, puffy like the gathering clouds over your head. What’s wrong with these dogs…?! You questioned their sanity butsome part of you wondered if they were trying to stop you from leaving. Wasthis fate trying to tell you something? These usually gentle dogs, now violentand aggressive? Did they not want you to leave too?
Stayinghere wouldn’t answer any of those questions that you felt in your gut. Youscurried away without looking back, ignoring the cries of the dogs.
Iidaturned his head to the commotion and he caught sight of a black figuresprinting down the street. That figure strangely reminded him of someone and hewould’ve stared longer if it wasn’t for your mother. He told her it was nothingwhen she asked what was wrong and he gladly accepted her hospitality when sheinvited him in.

12:48 AM
Dropsof water splashed against the black concrete, flooding it with various puddlesscattered around the alleyways. Shadows shielded the alleyway from sight, likea veil of darkness was being held over your eyes. But you walked through thenarrow walls with your head held high. You weren’t afraid. You couldn’t be.
Therewas a dim light on the wall where the two alleyways crossed. It was the exactspot where that villain appeared out of the shadows last time. You rememberedthe scars on his face, how frightened you were when the shadows revealed such ahorrifying face. You questioned how he came to be that way in your mind butfearing for your safety was more important to think about at the time.
Asyou were nearing the crossroad, your mind wandered to Iida. You realized thatwould be the last time you would ever see him, when you ran away from yourhouse while Iida was at your front door. He’s probably searching around thearea for you right now, the desperateness in his eyes, the unevenness in his breathing. He’s probably texting and calling your phone nonstop as he ran the streets, buthe would meet with disappointment as your phone would ring itself to yourcheerful voicemail. You threw your phone in the trash before coming here, youdidn’t want any unnecessary tracking because of it. You thought about Iida andhow you’ll miss him. You’ll miss his smile, his laughter, his leadership. You’ll miss those walks in the park together, those hugs at the end of thosewalks, and those kisses you shared at your doorstep.
Thinkingabout Iida made you think you were making a grave mistake. Thinking about Iidamade you want to turn around but your drive to find your brother was toostrong. You had to do this. You couldn’t back down now.
Justas before, it was like he appeared from thin air. The shadows revealed him whenhe stepped out into the dim light at the center of the crossroad. His hideousfeatures were being highlighted by the shadows while his beautiful blue eyesburned into yours. His dark hair was soaked in the rain but mysteriously, itstill held its spikiness. His expression held nothing as he looked at you. Itwas almost like he didn’t care if you came or not.
“I’mhere.” You couldn’t help the nervous chuckle that left you as you awkwardlyannounced yourself. You hated yourself for it. You didn’t want to make yourselfsound weak in front of a villain.
“Then, let’s go.” He didn’t move a muscle. He was waiting for you to step closer tohim. You found it weird how he was suddenly on the defensive. You moved to hisside, catching a closer view of his scars. How horrific they were. Who couldhave done this to him? Or was it himself?
“Lookslike you have company.” He announced, his icy gaze towards the direction youcame from. You looked towards the darkness, your eyes made out a figure moving withinit. It was walking closer to you two. You took on a defensive stance. You heldyour arms up, parallel to your chest as your hands rolled tightly into fists. You waited for the figure to be revealed by the dim lighting before attacking. And once you saw the darkness slowly melt away from its face, a gasp left you.You felt weak in your knees. Your mouth suddenly felt dry as a desert and yourfists that stood by your chest lowered to your sides.
“Tenya…how did you…” Your words died along with your heart when you saw his widenedeyes. He was completely soaked in the downpour, his hair lazily stuck againsthis forehead. He was still in his school uniform without the gray suit jacket. His white collared shirt was soaked all the way through where his skin could beseen. He quickly glanced between you andthe villain, and you could already tell his mind was being filled with multiplequestions. He stuttered to get them out.
“____,w-what are you doing? Get away from him!” The longer you stood next to him, themore anxious Iida became. He swatted his arm back as if to motion you to cometo him. But you stayed put and it only increased his fears.
“Whatare you doing here, Tenya? You shouldn’t have been able to find me.” You had toregain your composure which is why Iida jumped slightly to the calmness of yourvoice. You had a plan just in case this would happen. It’s the only way Iidawould let you go. You had to break him. “It’s pretty obvious what I’m doing, don’t you think?” Your mouth twitched up into a smile, a smile he never seenbefore on your face. It was like you didn’t care, or you were taunting him. Youhad the same look as the man standing next to you. Little did Iida know, youwere breaking inside.
“Th-thatguy… he’s the villain from—”
“Fromthe training camp, yes.” You finished Iida’s sentence, chuckling softly at him.The villain besides you gave you a curious look. “It’s when we met. He sparedme.” You looked at the villain with soft eyes and he looked back like he was ina daze. It wasn’t a lie that you met him back at the training camp. When thevillains attacked, you were found by him and spared because he recognized youas your brother’s sister. And then you met him again, when he approached you inan alleyway, a shortcut you take when walking home from school. But Iida didn’tknow that, and you knew you could use that to your advantage.
“Whatare you talking about…?” His eyes were flickering from you and the villain, hiseyes intense and unlike him. He was visibly shaking from anger or the cold, youweren’t sure, but it hurt you to see him slowly fall apart by your words.
“Isn’tit obvious?” You moved closer and grasped the villain’s hand. The feeling of hisscabby skin against your palm and wrist made your stomach turn. You also felthim try to jerk his hand away from your grip, but you firmly held it. You shothim the fastest glare you could. “It’s expected, isn’t it, Tenya?” You weresmiling at Iida. It wasn’t that beautiful smile he loved seeing, it was twistedand full of despair. It reminded him of someone, but he didn’t want to admitwho it was. “My father and brother became villains. It’s only expected. Youshouldn’t be shocked.”
Iidalooked away when you mentioned your family. His teeth were grinding againsteach other, grunts leaving him as it was difficult for him to speak. You justcontinued, laughing as you did. Your eyes burning because of the built-uptears. “It’s who I’m meant to be. It’s my destiny. It’s not a surprised Iturned out this way. You should have expected it. You should have expected it.” It was like you weretrying to convince yourself, like you were trying to believe all the horriblewords people have said to you in your past. Like you were trying to deny allthe past comforting words from Iida, telling you you’re not like your father orbrother.
Youdidn’t notice that the villain’s hand slipped out of yours. He placed it onyour shoulder, and you shuddered. “Come on, let’s go.”
“No.”It was hard to hear through the sound of the rain slapping against the pavement, but you couldn’t miss Iida’s rejection. It was a low mumble but somehow youheard it as clear as the skies above the dark clouds. “It’s not expected…”
Heapproached, a little faster than you would have liked. His heavy, wet handswere on your shoulders and it shoved away the touch of the scabby villain. Helooked you straight in your eyes as if he was staring directly into your soul. His eyebrows were raised and pushed together, his gritted teeth were showing ashe frowned. His next words pierced through and shattered your soul like abullet hitting a window.
“It’s not expected at all!!” Iidascreamed his words, his voice as loud as that window shattering. He shook youas he yelled, and you gulped, stunned by his reaction. “It’s not expected! You’re not a villain!! You’re not like your father or brother! You’redifferent!! You’re different… and I loveyou!”
Iida’svoice cracked at the end, his entire body shaking with fear. Fear of losingyou. Your mouth shook slightly, and your mind was blank. Iida’s passiontemporarily muted you, but you snapped out of it when you heard a soft chucklefrom behind. It was the villain and he was holding an amused expression on hisface, like he was enjoying the scene in front of him. It made your heart sickto your stomach. You wanted to hurt him for laughing at Iida’s pain, butunfortunately, he wasn’t the one to hurt. Iida was.
Youshoved Iida as hard as you could. And like a broken doll, he collapsed onto theground, splashing a puddle of water on his way down. His white collared shirtbecame stained with brown blotches of dirt and he looked as filthy as he lookedmiserable. His head was hanged low, his eyes were staring at your feet. Theylooked dead. You were happy he wasn’t looking at you because you knew thoseeyes would break you. You were happy it was raining because you knew your tearsand lies would be revealed if it wasn’t.
“Don’ttouch me with your filthy hands. I don’t want to be touched by the likes ofyou.” By the likes of you heroes. Yourvoice was like venom, like poison in his blood stream, killing him slowly. Youlooked to the villain. You no longer wanted to see Iida like this. “Let’s go.”You spoke softly, grabbing his arm and turning away from Iida. This is how it should be. This is how itshould be. This is for the best. This is for the best. You chanted in yourmind like it was a rhythm to a song. You walked away from the broken Iida, armin arm with the villain. Once you turned down one of the alleyways and were outof sight, you pulled yourself away from him. His lingering touch ghosting overyour skin. There was a sudden portal of darkness that appeared in front of youtwo and you heard the villain laugh, a cruel smile directed towards you.
“You’reexactly like your brother, aren’t you?” You heard those words often, but itfelt different coming from him. It felt like the truth, and it was a hard pillto shallow. You remembered your brother did the exact same thing. Saying he waslike your father, shoving your mother to the ground, and storming off as heleft you and your mother’s hearts broken. “The name’s Dabi, by the way.”
Andhere you were, doing the same thing as him.
I’m like mybrother.
I’m like mybrother.
Itchanted in your mind like a melody. Despair was greeting you like an oldfriend. Dabi’s smirk grew wider as he guided you closer to the swirlingdarkness.
I’m like mybrother.
I’m like mybrother.

Aint Such A Bad Guy
Fandom: IT Character: Belch – Reginald Huggins Relationship: Belch/reader Request: I LOVE YOU! WILL YOU PLEASE WRITE MORE FOR BELCH??? Idk, him and the reader both have detention and he offers to driver her home but they end up on a date or something? I know you’ll do great! Leaning back in your chair, you signed loudly. This was completely unfair. You should be stuck in detention because of some jackass who couldn’t drive. The door to the room opened and in walked Reginald Huggins, also known as Belch. You thought you had been the only on in detention today, but when the teacher told him to take a seat, you knew it was going to be the two of you. You honestly didn’t know him well enough to have a proper opinion of him. You stayed out of the bad books of most of the people at school so you never really needed to deal with him or the rest of the bowers gang. Belch took a seat in the same row as you but three chairs away. You saw the surprised expression on his face when his eyes fell on you, but just assumed it was for the same reason you were surprised to see him. the teacher rose to his feet and said he had to go get something from his office at that neither of you were to leave. He walked out the door, leaving it open as he did so. Signing, you leaned back in your chair and looked out the window. It was raining heavily in Derry today. You had already got drenched running to school tomorrow, and now you were going to get drenched running home. You lived just outside of town, which was the main reason you had a car. No busses went by your house and your parents were often away for work so you were pretty independent. “What you in for?” A voice pulled you from your self pity, making you jump. “huh?” You turned to him, not fully catching what he had said. “Why do you have detention?” he clarified, thinking you hadn’t understood his question. “Oh, I was late.” You tell him, wondering why he was making small talk with you. Maybe it was because his friends weren’t here. “don’t you have a car? Did yah sleep in or something?” he frowned. “No, I was in an accident on my way this morning. I had to abandon my car just outside of derry and run in this morning. I was soaked when I got it. I explained everything to Mr Robertson but he said I still had detention.” You growled the last bit, annoyed that you hadn’t been given a little leeway considering you had never been late before. “That’s shit.” Belch agreed. “Why didn’t you just go home?” “I was half way between both. And my parents are away so I would have still had to walk back in.” You shrugged. “Still, if you were in an accident. How bad?” He asked. You couldn’t help but smile. He seemed genuinely concerned for you. “I wasn’t harmed. Some guy lost control in the rain and skidded. He scraped the side of my car and as I tried to avoid him, my tire blew. He drove away and I didn’t get his licence plate. I don’t really know how to change a tire in the pouring rain.” You leaned forward on the desk, dreading trying to get home. “I can give you a lift.” He offered, making you shoot up and stare at him. This was risky. You didn’t know if you could trust him at all, let alone in a car. But his friends were always in with him and he hadn’t killed them yet. Plus they were always hanging out the window and doing stupid shit without anything happening to them. But you knew he adored his car and spent every penny he had on it. You saw him lean back in his chair, as if he wanted the floor to swallow him. And, unless you were mistaken, there was a slight blush on his cheeks. “That would be great.” You smiled, surprised he was being so nice to you but deciding to give him a chance. The teacher came back just a moment later with papers to grade and the two of you fell back into silence. But this time, it was more conformable than before. Eventually, he told you both to go home and you gathered your things. Belch waited for you at the door and you both walked through the deserted corridors and out into the rain. You used your coat to cover your hair while Belch had on a hoodie so he pulled the hood up. It was obvious which one was his car because there was only a handful of cars in the lot. You followed him and waited at the passenger side till he unlocked the room and you both hurried in. “Where abouts to do you live?” belch asked as he started the engine. “Its hard to explain, ill give you directions.” You tell him and he starts driving. “Tell me when we’re near your car and I’ll pull over.” He changes the gear a little early and the car judders a little. If you didn’t know any better, you could have sworn he was nervous. Maybe it was the first time he had had a girl in his car. As he turned a corner, you saw a group of kids walked dangerously close to a puddle. “Don’t even think about it.” You look at him out the corner of your eyes and saw a smirk form on his lips. You let out a laugh, knowing he knew exactly what you were thinking and confirming it had been his plan. But he did avoid the puddle, to his credit. From that moment on, things loosened up between you two. He started joking with you and you laughed with him. He was actually incredibly funny and at one point, he had to guess the way because you were laughing too hard to talk. Soon you were leaving derry and on the way to your house. “Oh, its just up here.” You pointed out your car, which was sitting in a layby and Belch pulled in in front of it. The two of you get out the car and walk over to yours, the rain not as bad here because of the trees sheltering the two of you apart from the odd drops. Belch hissed when he saw the scratch on your car and he squatted down at the passenger side tire which was blown. “You got a spare?” He asked. “yeah, it came with the car, but I looked at it and it doesn’t look in good condition.” You opened your car and went to the boot. Opening it and pulling out the bottom, you showed him the tire. “Yeah, that looks in bad condition.” He agrees, leaning in to inspect it a little more. “I think ive got a tire that’ll fit your car at mine. Plus I know how to fix up those scratches.” Belch walked back to the scratches, his fingers running over them to check the depth. You stood for a moment, debating in your mind. But your pause was not unnoticed. “Look, I aint-“ He signed, walking over to you, looking defeated but you interrupted him. “Im sorry. Its just it took me so long to save up and get my car. I don’t know you that well.” You hated yourself as you looked at him. “I know. I aint that bad a guy.” He tried to defend himself, shoving his hands in his pockets and looking embarrassed. “I know.” You smile, seeing him perk up a little. You walked over to him, examining the damage as you did so. “My parents are away till Saturday and I cant get into school without my car. Do you think its possible to have the tire on before tomorrow or is that too soon?” “Nah, I can get it done tonight. I’ll drop you off and get the tire.” Belch couldn’t help but smile at you. Not many people gave him a chance. “Great. Here.” You held out the keys for your car to him. Belch stared at your keys before taking them like they were a lifeline. “Do you need me to come back out and help?” “no, its fine, I’ll not be back out for another hour.” He waved you off and walked back to his car. You followed him, smiling. -------------------time skip -------------------- You leaned against the bumper of your car, resting the bag on top the car. You didn’t want to put it on the floor because it was pretty muddy. The umbrella was resting on your shoulder as you saw the trans-am coming up the path. Smiling, you pushed yourself off your car as Belch pulled in in front of you. “You didn’t have to walk back.” He smiled as he got out his car. “I felt guilty. So I brought an umbrella so you don’t get wet and also some food in case you were hungry.” You took the bag over and rested on his bumper, opening it to show a good selection of pickings. You raised the umbrella higher to accommodate his height as you followed him to his boot and he got out a tire. It was almost identical to your original ones so no one could really tell unless they were inspecting them. He rolled it over to your car and used the repair kit in the back of your car to change the tire. You stood over him with the umbrella the whole time, protecting him from the rain as the two of you talked. It was so strange because the two of you got on like a house on fire, and yet you never noticed how much you had in common until now. “I’ll need a couple of days to get the right stuff to fix the scratches.” Belch dusted his hands as he got to his feet but it was little use, so he wiped it on his jeans. “Thank you so much. Here.” You dug into your pocket and pulled out some money. You knew how much tires cost and also wanted to give him something for the labour. “Let me know how much the starch stuff is.” “No.” he shook his head, turned, and walked out from under the umbrella. “Wait!” you laughed and ran after him, thrusting the money out again. “Just take it.” “I already told you. No.” he smiled at the way out laughed, but refused to take the money. “Take it.” “No.” “Fine, I’ll put it in your car.” You said with triumph and moved past him towards his car. Arms wrapped around your waist and you were pulled into the air, playfully. “Hey!” You laughed, the umbrella dropping to the ground as he lifted you off the ground and away from his car. “Im not taking your money, [y/n].” He was so close to you now, his mouth only inches away from your ear. But you played along. “Why not?” you giggle as he set you nearer your car. You turn around the second your feet touch the ground and before Belch had retracted his hands. There was a moment of silence as you stared at each other. Was it possible to fall in love with someone in an evening? You didn’t know. You did know that you had had a crush on belch when you were younger. A massive crush. But you pushed it to the back of your mind with thoughts it would never happen. You thought you were over it. But you weren’t. “Cause I aint such a bad guy.” He breathes, his eyes darting to your lips and back to your eyes. Droplets of rain ran down both your faces, but burning cheeks stopped them from being noticed. “I know. You breathed and leaned up, pressing your lips to his. belch moved his hands from your waist to wrapped right around you, engulfing you. Your hands rested on his broad shoulders, gently moving them up and down as you enjoyed the kiss. Sure, you had been kissed a couple of times before. But not like this. Maybe it was the rain and how it made everything just that much more romantic, or maybe it was the way he kissed you back, like it was the best thing that had ever happened to him. He let out a mixture of a growl and a moan into the kiss which made you knees weak. Part of you wondered if he felt the same way. Had he only noticed you recently? Even just today? No, you knew that much. You had heard the teasing when you walked by, his friends saying he was in love with you. But that’s just what guys do, right? It just happened to be you. But maybe there was something more in the teasing? You felt the money in your hand which was now pressed against his shirt. Smirking, you got an idea and ever so gently slid your hand down and to his breast pocket before slipping the money in there before he had a chance to notice. In that moment, the heavens completely opened and the downpour made you jump, pulling back from his lips. Looking up at the sky, you couldn’t help but laugh to yourself. He seemed to understand the silent joke and chuckled along with you. “Wanna go for a drive?” He asks, nodding to his car. “Absolutely.” You giggle. “Let me grab my bag.” Running over to your car, you saw him walk over and pick up the umbrella, collapse it and put it in his car. As you grabbed your bag, you heard footsteps behind you so you closed and locked the door. But before you could say anything, you were being lifted up and carried to his car. “Why?” You laughed, loving how easily he picked you up. “if youre gonna insist on giving me that money, im taking you dinner and a movie.” He smirks as he opens the door and places you in the passenger seat. You took the moment to kiss him quickly before he left to walk around the car and to the drivers side. “Oh so it some sort of date?” You giggled, batting your eyelashes at him which dripped with water. He smiled. “Could call it that. Theres towels in the back seat.” He reaches back and pulls one forward to toss it at you playfully. “At least you’ll have something to brag about.” You giggled as you used it to try dry your hair a little. “Eh?” “Getting a girl all wet with one kiss.” You giggled as you winked at him. Belch had just been about to pull off, and your comment made him miss the bite of the car and it staled with a violent jerk forward. You let out laughter at his flustered face before crawling over to him and kiss him to calm him down. His hands instantly went for your wet hair, seeming to enjoy the feeling of it running through his fingertips. “Thank you. For everything.” You breath against his lips as he looked in your eyes. You wanted him to know you were genuinely thankful for everything and you weren’t just kissing him because you fixed your car. “Told yah. I aint a bad guy.” He smiled as you leaned back into your seat, pulling on the seatbelt as you smiled at him. “I know.”

pretty amazing, phil
To: @amazingaliyah
Phil Lester liked coffee a lot, but if there was one thing he liked a more it would be the boy that always sat in the corner of his friend’s coffee shop. His name was Dan and he was a writer according to Megan, the owner of the shop and one of Phil’s best friends. Dan’s hair was a soft brown styled similar to Phil’s but his fringe was in the opposite direction. He had deep brown eyes that turned a light whiskey color when he looked out of the window and into the sun. Phil decided that he much preferred Dan’s eyes to his own strange mix of blue, green, and yellow.
It was a strange day in mid June as the rain was falling down so hard that Phil could still hear it through the music from his earbuds. However, it was even stranger as Dan wasn’t at his usual table. Instead, a large burly man was sitting there typing furiously on his laptop. Dan was sitting in the table nearest to the door, nervously tapping on the table. He quickly shot up from his seat and shuffled over to the counter where he ordered himself a coffee. Phil tried to avoid staring at Dan when he walked past him by hiding his face into his book. It was definitely creepy to stare at a stranger especially if they didn’t even know your name, it made it creepier if you knew their name too.
Once Phil heard the familiar sound of the coffee machines working away he looked up from his book to see Dan.
“I’m sorry but your friend told me to give you this.” Dan sputtered quietly, holding up some napkins, “She told me you were prone to spilling and your drink was on the end of a table.“
"Thank you Dan.” Phil responded, knowing full well what Megan was trying to do.
“How did you know my name?"Dan asked with a mix of curiosity and confusion and as to why the cute stranger he saw every day knew this information about him.
"Oh, um Megan told me."Phil responded internally cursing himself for making it obvious how creepy had been.
"Why?” Dan questioned surprised by the other boy’s slightly strange tone.
“Because I think you’re cute.“ Phil mumbled almost unintelligibly. Although, Dan must have good hearing as he looked surprised and he giggled, his dimple popping out, making Phil smile in return.
"Well, why didn’t you say anything?” Dan added cockily.
“I didn’t think you were interested.“ Phil pointed out, his tongue sticking out of the corner of his mouth as he smiled.
” Here’s my number text me and we can make plans, but we can make sure it’s not somewhere where you can spill, dont worry.“ Dan assured Phil as he walked back to his table with his coffee and sat back down, giving one last smile to Phil before returning to his writing.
__________ Dan Howell is late. What makes it worse is that it’s raining today, taking what his what was once neat, straight hair and making it into a curly mess. All he wanted to do was have a nice date with a nice boy at a nice art museum but apparently that’s too much to ask for. Dan walked quickly as to avoid staying in the rain any longer than necessary. He stopped for a second, just to look down at his phone to check the time. That was definitely not a good idea as he was suddenly knocked over into a fairly large puddle, ruining whatever tiny shred of confidence in his appearance he had left.
I don’t have to tell you that this wasn’t the best time for Phil to call, but, the universe decided to give Dan one last passive aggressive middle finger and have Phil do it anyway. Dan scrambled to answer the call with his shaking hands.
“Hello!” Phil exclaimed in an almost sickening false cheery voice “Is this Dan? Or is this the fake number I’ve been texting with for a week?”
“Phil…” Dan whispered pitifully. His day was now officially the shittiest it could be. Here he was sitting in a muddy puddle on a sidewalk, soaking wet, late for his date, and to top it all off, his date now aware of how useless he was at being human. Plus, be was still being rained on.
“Ph-Phil, I’m sor-” he started.
“My bad, are you busy?” Phil interrupted “, I wasn’t aware you had other plans.”
“Phil, I’m really sorry. I j-just I woke up late and it’s raining and I fell. Just, fuck, it hasn’t been a great day.”
“Oh.” Phil stated plainly. “Then maybe you would prefer to come over to my flat? We can play Mario Kart and eat pizza in pajamas?” He offered, his mood changing surprisingly quickly.
“That actually sounds amazing, Phil.” Dan muttered, sniffling quietly. “Please pick me up I’m a block away from the museum. Your house better be clean, Phil Lester.” he added a small smile working on to his face.
“Not to worry Daniel,” Phil responded, doing his best to sound like an old posh woman.“I’m never messy.”
“If you say so.” Dan conceded. After a short pause he added a bit uncomfortably “ Can you pick me up now?”
“Oh yeah, I’m on my way.” Phil rushed out. Dan’s smile grew more, his dimple making an appearance. Phil was pretty amazing at making him smile, he decided.
A silver ford pulled up directly beside Dan, who had been wringing out his t-shirt. Dan immediately walked over to the car and sat down in the passenger seat.
“Your hair is curly!” Phil announced excitedly.
“I am painfully aware, Philip” objected Dan, successfully ending the conversation.

“First of all, Philip Lester you are a nerd and second, where is your bathroom.” Dan declared.
“I am a nerd and my bathroom is down the hall, first door on your left.” Phil instructed, smiling as Dan made his way down the hall. Phil decided he definitely liked this boy more than coffee. Little did he know Dan was thinking along the same lines
