I have this headcanon that in the future, Damian Wayne is going to be unstoppable crime-fighting machine, absolutely undefeated by any supervillain. But any time he fights against like, regular gangsters, he can get absolutely thwarted, and that's becuase his one true weakness is monologuing.

He just NEEDS to tell how good his plan was, and how much better he is at all this. And supervillains - they respect a good speech. They can see craft of love (and love of craft) in those speeches, and they know how vital a good speech is. It's a sign of repect, in supervillain terms, to be monologued at. Being monologued at gives a blanket permission to monologue back, and that is something no supervillain is going to ignore. Supervillains get sucked in those monologues... while others just punch Damian in the face after 2 sentences of his speech, or make their escape, or their back-up arrives... And his intricate plans, wonderful gambits, all of this goes down the drain.

So yeah, Darkseid and Lex Luthor have banded together to take control over universe? Justice League just points Damian Wayne at them, and waits for his inevitable success while doing as he orders, no questions asked. Non-Gotham mafia is trying to get a foothold in Gotham docks? Damian is officially mandated to take backup, make regular check-ins, and provide a bulletpoint draft of the plan, because someone needs to stop him from making elaborate set-ups just to be able to explain his intricate plans to the mafia boss and thus screw the whole thing up.
