Cale Cooking!

So, this a canon I have always imagined. It’s mentioned in the TCF that Cale knows how to cook Korean food from his Kim Rok Soo days. But I imagine Cale to be an excellent cook because he always undermines himself.

It’s not always that Beacrox is ill but even he fell ill after the strenuous fighting season was over. The children wished to cook something for him and were creating a mess in the kitchen, so Cale decided to shoo them out and take over the cooking while Rosalyn and CH cleans the mess and Ron runs an errand in the village. 

So, Cale decides to take matters into his own hands. 

Cale: Enough! All children out of the kitchen, now.

Roan: Human NOOOOOO!

Hong: Yess we want to cook Beacrox Uncle!!!

On: We would really love to give him something homemade.

Cale sighs. 

Cale: Okay I will cook, and you all will help when I tell you too.

Cale got to work, he thought that a quick soup with some fresh bread and some hot coco would be enough. So he got to work, he kneaded the bread out of the left-over flour. He asked Roan and Hong to slowly control the heat around the melting chocolate, Choi Han to cut the vegetables and meat, Rosalyn to pre heat the oven with magic and On to get run to the underground house and bring some spice they got from the east. 

Over the course of the next 1 hour he collected all the food in enough quantities to fulfill the small town they house at here at the Black Castle. The loaves were baking, soup was simmering, the hot coco was being filled in glasses for everyone's easy access. 

Eventually he prepared one plate with all the food and told the children to give it to Beacrox. 

Roan: You are not coming with us Human?

Cale: No, I don’t want to get catch whatever bug he has.

He then turned and left the kitchen. But everyone knew that despite that rude response how carefully he has made each item. 

When Ron tasted the food, he knew instantly it wasn’t someone who has cooked for the first time. But the food was so healing, the rich but light taste of soup, the airy and slightly sour bread and the subtly sweet hot coco, that he didn’t question it much. He never knew his tiger young master could cook so well. 

But the fact brings him peace that when he is gone and someone forgets to feed his Young Master, he can cook for himself.

The Children enjoyed the food so much that they ran again and again to the kitchen to sneak multiple helpings even late after dinner was over. Choi Han was almost nostalgic for a second remembering the young, malnourished Kim Rok Soo. 

Cale after years of eating just enough actually ate more than necessary for once, enjoying the taste of his own food after years and getting a little lost in olden days.

IT WAS INCREDIBLE!!! ateez are so naturally funny it’s crazy! this show on a whole felt more natural than txt, i mean ateez had translators so they could go into korean whenever they wanted or needed. like jongho was backstage after dazzling light but they finished everything they had planned to say, so wooyoung asked san in korean what song he wished was on the set list (twilight, he sung like five seconds of it). they also sang a bit of pirate king since people said they wanted to hear it

so starting at the beginning, kq fellaz 2 (their junior group that hasn’t debuted yet) opened and did two songs, then ateez started with new world and it changed me as a person and i also don’t remember any of it because i was so excited

during their first ment, they talked about how the arena is usually a basketball arena, so yunho, wooyoung, and yeosang did some dunk shots. plus woo forgot what he was supposed to say, so he walked to the back of the stage giggling, then walked back and said what he needed to say

JONGHO IS INSANE LIKE I KNOW WE KNOW BUT HE IS CRAZY TALENTED also he was in a silly goofy mood, he did “jongho’s magic show” where he changed all the lightiny’s different colors. he said he was going to turn the lights red so he grabbed a water bottle and people started screaming, so he goes “this is water! this is water!” and walks over to wooyoung and says if you drink this the lights will turn red! and then made a comment about wooyoung adams apple 😂 so woo drank it (while the camera zoomed in on his throat) and the lights turned red. then jongho said i’m going to turn them yellow! so he grabbed a napkin (“this is napkin! this is napkin! napkin is fire!!!”) and goes over to seonghwa, who is very confused. jongho tried to explain to hwa what he was doing and he’s very cutely said “sorry??????” eventually jongho put the napkin over hwa’s face and then removed it and seonghwa was making a face and the lights turned yellow. i still don’t completely know what was happening hahaha

BUT THEN yeosang made us start chanting sexy seonghwa (i have video of this if anyone wants to see lol) and seonghwa did some of the inception choreo lol then he dragged yunho in (also have this on video) and yunho did some sexy poses and hongjoong goes “ok we need to finish the sexy time!!”

seeing win live changed my life too lol i love their pirate concept so much. also guerrilla, wave, say my name, and cyberpunk changed me

This is a devastating, disheartened year for you as you just broke up with your ex-boyfriend. He cheated you on another woman and they even get married. The weird thing is, he still sending you text messages asking how are you and such, disgusting yourself. You cried for a few days, and you are thankful for the emotional support from your friend and, you decide to tell D.O. and Kai about it too.

One night, you and Kai made a video call, asking about each other lives. “Kai!! How are you? Have you got vaccinated?” All of a sudden, Kai cries. You stunned. “I miss you Y/N! Come back here!!” And you can only laugh seeing his behaviour. “Y/N! I have been vaccinated too! The pandemic situation over here is worst now. Plus, with the new variants and all that….” You heard another voice, and soon after you see D.O. joining the conversation.

“I know right! It’s hard to predict when will all this ends…. Gosh, Y/N! How are you?” And you sigh hearing D.O.’s questions. Both of them sense your trouble, and ask you to share the troubles with them. You finally break down and cry while sharing the story with them. Kai and D.O. shake their head and try to comfort you the best they can. “Oh, wait. You got cheated. He got cheated too, right hyung?” Kai instantly raises a question, and you stop crying straight away. “Who got cheated?” you ask.

D.O. sighs. “Y/N, do you still remember last time we saw Baekhyun holding hands with a girl? Yeah, well, they got into a relationship around earlier in 2019. But, they also broke up towards the end of the same year.” You are shocked to hear the news and ask D.O. to tell you further. “The girl cheated on him. She still connecting with her ex-boyfriend and from what I heard and understand, she said she is not happy with Baekhyun because of his busy schedules and all that, and many more…. But yeah, that made Baekhyun feel so small since he’s a sensitive person. He’s like, he’s having trust issues with everyone right now.” D.O. continues. Kai added. “It’s called fate Y/N! You got cheated, Baekhyun hyung got cheated, that just means you are just meant to be together and the Heaven wanted you two to be together,” Kai continues, before D.O. smacks him on his shoulder.

You can only chuckle. “Guys, who will be discharged next year?” You immediately ask. D.O. almost answering you when Kai jumps and screams. “Yay!!!!!! Y/N will come next year!!!! Oh, no but I also get into the military next year? Oh, noooooo I can’t meet Y/N, my friend,” Kai’s mood changed in a split second. D.O. just shakes his head. “If I’m not mistaken, it will be Suho, Chen and Chanyeol? Yeah. Because Baekhyun hyung will be discharged in the year 2023. Why?” D.O. asks. “I’m thinking of visiting you all…. Or, good news I say? Next year, I will be an examiner at one of the universities in Seoul. I mean, if the pandemic subdues.”

You could see D.O. and Kai are delighted to see you again. However, this is too early to confirm; with the pandemic going on, it’s hard to travel even to Seoul. Thankfully you have completed your vaccination, and travelling to Seoul would be a step easier than before. You ask them to keep this from everyone first, and they agree to seal their lips. Despite being unsure about your decisions, you still ask him. “Kai? Can you help me with something?”

2022….

“It’s almost December….” Baekhyun sighs heavily while looking outside the base camp dorm window.

“Yup, and it’s almost time you discharge from military, hyung,” another voice replied him. He turns and sees Kai coming towards him. Baekhyun flashes a fake smile towards Kai. “Can’t believe it’s 2023 soon,” Kai continues, but Baekhyun keeps silent. “Hyung??” Kai calls and Baekhyun is surprised. “Hyung, you look miserable,” Kai continues. “I just…. miss her very much. Will she return….?” Baekhyun questioned in a weak voice, sighing while tears fell from his eyes. “I know she always keeps her promise. She will return, don’t worry hyung.”

Baekhyun chuckles. “Why all of you sounds so confident when talking about Y/N? Well, I know you may be excited since you have just released another album, but…. I also feel like, all of you talking to her every day”, Kai didn’t answer him, instead of taking out a letter and give to Baekhyun. “It’s for you”, then Kai leaves the room. Baekhyun closes the door, and start reading….

Dear Baekhyun,

Have you got vaccinated? Don’t forget to eat. Don’t forget to sleep. Go to the military properly. Discharge properly. Oops, you’re in the public service division, right? I don’t know how is the military life there. Do you need to return to the base camp?

If you receive this letter, that would be awesome. Because I thought Kai would be forgotten to give to you after a year later since he was also too excited hearing from me, ha-ha. Well, I purposely send it earlier. The nostalgia of sending letters, sending snail mails, waiting for the letter to get dusty…. Hmm, what am I talking about? Oh well, never mind.

It’s 2022. What’s your wish for this Christmas? I hope it all comes true.

See you again, Baekhyun. When I say I will return, I will usually return. You do know that I never break any promises I made since you were still a trainee.

Baekhyun’s heart is full of hope instantly. Are you coming this Christmas? Why are you making him wish for Christmas? Baekhyun overthinks, but silently wishes and prays for your return this Christmas since he knows that he will be taking off day during that time. “God, please let me see her again…. I miss her so, so, much. Please let me see her smile, please let me see her beautiful face, please let me see her hearty and cute giggles, please let me see her romantic side, please, allow us to feel love for each other again.”

One day….

“Tsk, yah! Hang that properly!” Xiumin scold Sehun for not doing the job as he asked. Chen tries to calm them down, while D.O., Chanyeol and you are in the kitchen dorm preparing meals for Christmas. “Are you excited to see him again?” Chanyeol suddenly asks you. D.O. looks at you too, making you anxious. “I don’t know. I feel weird and nervous somehow.” Both of them just smile. “I told you! It’s fate! It’s fate! Angels wanted you two to get together, as we all wish from day one!” Kai enters the kitchen, making a fuss over there. Right away, the three of you seem to think of a similar, so-call-evil plan. Kai tries to run seeing your reactions, but it’s too late.

They heard a bell ring at the door. “It’s Baekhyun! Baekhyun is coming! Hurry up! Hide Y/N, go!” Suho alerted the members. You followed Kai to the room, while everyone gathers in front of the door to celebrate Baekhyun’s entrance. “Guys, you celebrate me as I’ve just returned from the war…. Wow! Lay!! Gosh, wow, thank you for being able to spend Christmas with us,” Baekhyun flabbergasted seeing them and Lay as well, but they don’t care, as long as Baekhyun hasn’t seen you. They greeted each other, hugging each other. D.O. and Chanyeol place a meal at their big dining table, and they keep Baekhyun busy so that he won’t sense anything.

Meanwhile in the room….

“Okay, Y/N, I’ll do some tricks and small performance first, then when Lay and a few of the members standing, you go behind Lay, okay?” Kai instructs you, and you give a thumbs up. You two heard Suho’s voice from the dining room calling for a performance. As Kai comes out in a Santa costume; the members laugh at his appearance. “Yah! Don’t laugh at me!” Kai pouts, but the members keep guffawing. Soon after, his dance performance and magic tricks start, while you get ready in costume too.

“Now, the final one. Does anyone want to see my last magic? It’s really, magical, I tell you.” Lay interrupts him. “I want, but let me go to the toilet first.” Kai’s mouth wides open seeing his reaction, but the members are cracking up again. Lay isn’t going to the toilet, instead, he goes to the room where you are and ask you to come out softly. Meanwhile, Kai continues with his magic show. “For my last trick, I want everyone to stand up.” All of the members stand up, and Lay quickly ask you to stand behind him along with the other members, since all of them are taller than you.

“Do you believe if that person really appears if I call their names three times?” Kai asks the members. “No.” Xiumin simply answers bluntly, and the members are cackling again. “Who do you want to call?” Baekhyun shows his interest. Kai is starting. “Xiumin hyung, Xiumin hyung, Xiumin hyung, answer my call and come forward.” Xiumin refuse. “I won’t” Kai pouts. “Fine! Okay, Lay hyung, Lay hyung, Lay hyung, answer my call and come forward.” Luckily Lay cooperates with Kai and they hugged. Kai takes a deep breath. “Now. Y/N, Y/N, Y/N, answer my call and come forward.” You take a deep breath and goes next to Kai. “Yah! That is so lame. Next time, think of something else. I think I can do better tricks than you.” Kai lets out a big scoff. “Yah! Who dragged me just now? You, Chanyeol hyung, D.O. hyung. You ask me to do this” Kai pouts make you giggle; the view which Baekhyun missed so much.

Baekhyun’s eyes, his mouth wide open too. He cannot believe what did he just see in front of his eyes. Suho nudges him. “Go, hug her. She’s here now.” Baekhyun slowly gets closer next to you. “Y/N…. Is, that…that…. You? Y/N?” He stammered, still in a daze. You simply nod. Baekhyun cannot help his excitement and quickly hugs you tightly. “Y/N! Oh my!! Y/N” He cries while hugging you.

The other members chat to each other, while you are standing outside, enjoying the night cool breeze when someone approaches and hugs you from behind. “Y/N….” and you know it’s Baekhyun. “Yes, Baekhyun?” you turn to him, still hugging each other. “You look nice in short hair” You compliment him. “You like it?” Baekhyun asks, and you nod. “I miss you, Y/N…. I miss you so much.” You let out a sigh though, making him uncomfortable. “Y/N, let me explain everything from the start?” You agree to hear him this once.

He told you how bad his decision before…. How immature of him to not be able to think deeply about the consequences of his own life and relationship. You heard how badly he got cheated by his ex-girlfriend, and making him feel very small, and he felt like that was his karma. The story told by D.O. and Kai were aligned with his explanations. You are sorry to hear his experiences, but instead, he is now happy because he has moved out from the negative connection and has moved on from his past. What’s more, you could see the maturity in him had grown over the years.

“Y/N, can we start again? This time, I really, wanted to make things right. I wanted to show the best version of myself, by understanding, loving and taking care of you. I don’t expect you to forgive me for my stupid, immature past. All I hope now is a second chance, and I hope you could give me that,” Baekhyun pleads. You look deep into his eyes and vice versa. “Baekhyun, do you still remember what I told you at the Han River?” Baekhyun sighs. “You want me to focus on my career….”

You let out a small laugh, raising a big question mark within him. “You really forget about it,” as you keep chortling. “Remind me, what is it?” Baekhyun asks you in a low voice while cupping your face, making you blush. “You know I’ll always be with you…. You are successful now, the world has recognised you, acknowledge you as a double million-seller. After this, you could be a triple million-seller, you could be anything big in this world, but…. no matter where you stand, no matter what you do, you should know by now, that I, Y/N, will always be with you. You may think that I’ll be close to you just in physical terms; but actually, it’s way more than that. I will always be with you, emotionally, spiritually, and now, right here, physically be with you.

He is impressed and moved by your words. He never knew those words brought deep meaning into his life. A tear of happiness fall from his eyes, currently thankful to the Heavens for giving him the biggest Christmas present; another chance to be with you. “I love you Y/N. I don’t think I can let you go anymore. Please stay here with me. Please don’t go….”. This time, you plant a lovely, soft kiss on his lips. He stops crying. “Can…. can we, do that again?” He asked, and you give a smile. He understood you, and kiss you passionately. You break the kiss. “When will you discharge from the military?”

He sniffles, thinking for a moment. “February 2023. But since the pandemic, the organisation always let us discharge a month early from the camp, but I had to stay quietly from the public until the actual date.” You hum. “You’ll be back to the camp tomorrow, right? Well, that doesn’t matter. Just a week left before you can return to your…….. House.” He gazes at you, then grins from ear to ear when he finally realises what you are trying to say.

“I’ll fetch you next week.”

I am an EXO-L. They are still my ults. The first loves of my K-pop life lol. The main group that can make me swoon and cry literally over nothing. I love them so much. But Seventeen and The Boyz fight it out for that second spot in my heart constantly. Depending on the day you just never know who wins.

Honestly I haven’t been into K-pop very long. I am very a very small eastern mountain town in the eastern US. No one here really talks about much other than country music, gospel music, and classic rock lol. But I have a friend I met online (where all great relationships start now) and she was like oh you should listen to the song Call Me Baby by EXO. I was like I sure!

That was about 5 years ago. I listened to only that song and was afraid to really go any further for a while. I had of course heard of BTS and Black Pink but my head was like K-pop is going to be something I don’t like. Then the pandemic hit and I was at home and was listening to Call Me Baby and was like why not.

My best friend and I listened to 100 song you should know and fell down a rabbit hole. So it has honestly only been since the lockdown really that I really got into K-pop but it really brightened my world and changed it for the better.

Sorry if these are too long. Lol I can talk about K-pop for ever. How long have you been into K-pop Yza? Was Seventeen your first group or did you have a first love other than them?

i grew up surrounded by koreans so u can say it's been around me since forever lol fdjkfdj but i only really GOT into it myself during '09-'10 when wg blew up <3 my first group was shinee and theyre still the lomls and they set the bar SOOO high for me so i kinda find it hard to get into groups tbh KJFDKJFD i was also pretty multi when i was younger?? but i'd always find myself just ulting a group and casually listening to others. since then, i unintentionally jump groups after a year or so 😭 that being said i've been into shinee, b.a.p, then b1a4!! after that i kinda quit kpop for a few years and just came back to it in 2019 bc of got7 <3 and then i got into the svteenies (which i've known abt since their 17tv era) in aug 2020 and here we are.... 2 YEARS LONG... i literally can't believe i stuck to something this long lol

noooooo eri, you flatter me way too much, i was rambling nonsense in those tags 😭😭 but yeah i think it's reductive to say that kpop is only for teenagers bc idols get older and so does their fans, bc as they get older, will want to tell different stories in their lyrics/songs and even they'll want to experiment with new (often more mature) visual/aesthetic no longer appeal to a younger audience

i can't control myself millie, when i see smart people i just have to compliment them and kiss them 😔 sfdsghjk anyways i totally agree with you!! it's so weird seeing underage fans saying that people in their 20s/30s are too old to listen to kpop when we're the ones closer to these idols' age 😭 and it really is so much fun seeing them experimenting new music/concepts, without having to worry if it's appealing for the younger audience (which yeah, it's so weird that adults have to worry about something like this,,,)! taemin's later discography is the perfect example!! ofc younger people can like it too, but the target audience is obviously not 14yo 😅 i honestly miss seeing more "adult/mature" concepts like his in kpop!! there are so many new groups where most members are like 15 years old and it's so sad. they're missing their teenage years and knowing how intense the korean entertainment industry is, i can't even imagine how hard it must be for them growing up in the spotlight!! they literally mold these kids into the "perfect idol" without worrying about what they actually want. and don't make me even started on all those sick people who sexualize minors or i'm going to snap 🥴

Oh wow Anon! Have you read my mind? Because I had just opened a new Google Doc to write a drabble about that exactly and then I saw this ask! Anyway I’ve now finished the drabble so here’s your answer: 

Killer and Dust sat on the sofa with Miracle on Killer’s lap. It was a day like any other and Killer was smiling down at his son, trying to do what any parent would do when their kid was approaching a year old.

“Come on, Miracle, say ‘Mama’ I know you can do it!” Killer encouraged, hopefully. He had bet 60g that would be his son’s first word. Nightmare was not impressed about the betting, he never was. 

Miracle just looked blankly up at them though and stuck his thumb in his mouth. 

“No,” Killer said gently, taking his son’s wrist and pulling his thumb out of his mouth. “Say ‘Mama’”

“He’s not going to do it,” Dust said as he watched with his phone recording just in case Miracle said his first word.

“He will,” Killer argued. “I’m the best so he has to say ‘Mama’ first! Nothing would be better.”

“Well I’m trying something else,” Dust said as he waved to get Miracle’s attention and smiled once the baby looked at him. “Say ‘Dust’ Miracle. ‘Du-st.’” That had been his bet, while Horror had bet on Dada being the child’s first word just because he wasn’t expecting his or Dust’s name and Killer already bet on Mama. 

Miracle just blinked at him before he looked back to his mother. 

“See! He clearly doesn’t want to say that! Say ‘Mama.’ Mama is better that dumb Uncle Dust.”

“Don’t call me dumb! You’re dumb!”

“You’re the only dumb one here,” Killer shot back. He’d use a more explicit insult but he didn’t want Miracle to pick that up.  “Dumb Dustbin!”

“Grow up, Killer,” Dust sighed as he turned his attention back to Miracle. “Come on, say ‘Dust’ I’m sure you can!”

Miracle looked up at his uncle and tilted his head. “Du…” 

“Oh my god!” Dust said excitedly. “He almost did it! He almost said my name! Come on, ‘Du-st.’”

“That was just a normal baby noise!” Killer argued. “You can’t listen to the dumb one, say ‘Mama’”

Miracle just kept looking at Dust though and slowly he pointed up at him. Both Killer and Dust held their breath as they waited. Was he really about to say Dust?

“Dumb Dumb!” Miracle shouted and started clapping his hands as Killer burst out laughing, leaving Dust to look horrified. 

“NO!” Dust shouted. “I’m Dust not Dumb Dumb!”

“Dumb Dumb!” Miracle repeated. "Dumb Dumb! Dumb Dumb!”

Killer eventually managed to calm down. “I take it back this is way better than his first word being ‘Mama!’” 

“No, it’s not!” Dust said looking genuinely hurt that a baby was calling him dumb. “I’m not dumb, you’re dumb!”

“Nah, Miracle has spoken, you’re clearly the dumb one!”

“Dumb Dumb!”

Killer began to laugh again before he looked down to see Miracle pointing at him instead. It was Dust’s turn to laugh.

“You’re Dumb Dumb too!” Dust called out as he laughed. 

“No, Miracle, that’s Dumb Dumb. I’m Mama,” Killer said gently, hoping to change his mind.

Miracle looked like he was thinking carefully before he pointed at Killer again. “Mmm…”

“That’s it, ‘Mama.’”

“...Dumb Dumb!”

“Noooooo!” Killer whined as Miracle just laughed and clapped his hands again. 

“...Maybe he doesn’t know what it means?” Dust suggested. As funny as it was that he was calling Killer Dumb Dumb as well he wanted it to seem better for himself more.

“Maybe,” Killer agreed, “we do call each other dumb all the time. Maybe he just thinks it’s what you call people just generally?”

“Dumb Dumb!” Miracle said again as he clapped, only making Killer and Dust cringe. They really couldn’t believe they were being called dumb by a baby…

The door opened and shut again with a click and the two turned to see Nightmare walking in. “What’s going on here? I sensed some negativity.”

“Babe!” Killer whined as he picked Miracle up and stood. “You won’t believe this; Miracle said his first word!”

Nightmare looked rather happy at that and smiled at his boyfriend as he walked closer. “That’s great! So why the negativity?”

“Show him,” Dust said, with a pout, he really wasn’t happy about this at all. 

“Dumb Dumb!” Miracle said, pointing at Killer. “Dumb Dumb!” He said again, pointing at Dust. 

At that Nightmare burst out laughing. That only made Miracle giggle as well and clap again; if his Daddy thought something was funny then it really must be funny!

Nightmare reached out with a tentacle and pet his son’s head happily. “That’s my boy, not even a year old yet and already spreading such wonderful negativity! I’m so proud!”

“We don’t think he knows what it means,” Killer said. “Why else would my boy being calling his wonderful Mama, ‘Dumb Dumb!?’”

“It’s still funny and it’s still negativity,” Nightmare said as he kept petting his son who wiggled happily at the attention. 

“You won’t find it funny when he’s calling you Dumb Dumb!” Killer argued and looked back at his son. “Go on, Baby, tell Daddy that he’s also dumb.”

Miracle looked up at Killer again and blinked before he looked at Killer’s hand that was pointing at Nightmare. Miracle pointed at him too and opened his mouth… “D…”

“Dumb Dumb,” Killer encouraged. “He’s Dumb Dumb too!”

“D… D… Dada!”

“No!”

Nightmare burst into another fit of laughter. “Oh, I’m so proud of my Little Prince! Smart enough to know what dumb means and now he’s called me Dada!”

“...He really thinks we’re dumb…” Dust said, sounding really hurt by it.

“He won't call me Mama! I’ll forever be Dumb Dumb to him…” Killer complained dramatically as he handed the baby to Nightmare. 

“Don’t be so dramatic, Kills. He’ll call you Mama eventually.” Nightmare quickly turned his attention to his son as he hugged him and gave him more head pets. 

“My baby thinks I’m stupid!” Killer kept complaining which only made his boyfriend and son laugh even more.

“I really am so proud,” Nightmare said as he kissed Miracle’s cheek. “So much negativity being spread by someone so small.”

Killer and Dust just looked at each other and sighed. They’d just have to accept the name ‘Dumb Dumb’ until Miracle started calling them by the correct name. 

“Anyway,” Nightmare said as he adjusted his hold on his son. “Horror asked me to tell you two that dinner’s ready. We better get going before it gets cold.”

“Right!” Killer said suddenly perking up. “Miracle is sure to call Horror ‘Dumb Dumb’ too!” 

“Yeah!” Dust agreed as he began to walk towards the door. The more people Miracle called ‘Dumb Dumb’ the better they’d feel.

“Hey, Horror,” Killer said as he walked into the dinning room seeing some really good looking Korean food set out on the table. Killer couldn’t identify what the dishes were called but he could tell by the look on Dust’s face that he was very happy. “Figures, Horror’s still trying to get into his pants,” Killer thought as he took his place. 

Dust took his eyes off of the food to look at Miracle again. “So, Miracle, who’s that?” He almost felt bad for encouraging Miracle to call Horror dumb after he made all this food but he didn’t want to be lumped with Killer alone. 

Miracle looked up at Horror who waved at the baby. The big guy didn’t really know what was going on but he guessed they wanted him to speak. 

“Come on, call him ‘Dumb Dumb’ too,” Killer encouraged as Nightmare just rolled his eye. 

Slowly Miracle’s little hand lifted and he pointed to Horror and looked up at his mother who nodded. With a head tilt and a bit of thought Miracle opened his mouth again… “Nom Nom!” 

“No!” Killer and Dust shouted in unison and Nightmare just laughed again.

Horror took a minute to process what just happened but the second he did his eyes went wide and he went running to the baby. “Aww! He called me ‘Nom Nom!’” He said happily as he pet Miracle’s head. He was clearly happy with his nickname. 

Miracle just accepted the head pets feeling like he’d done so well. 

“...So what about the bet?” Killer asked as they sat down to eat. “His first word is dumb so no one wins…”

Nightmare sighed and shook his head. “It’s a tie so wouldn’t the logical thing be that you all get your money back?”

The three of them shrugged they supposed that did make sense. That really was an unexpected outcome though.

Also, this chapter was a good reminder he has massive trauma and flaws too. I did not like how Jungkook snapped at Isabella this chapter. Props to her handling him and his confusing communication well. And for getting hers. 😉

Yes! His arrest was what set off Eomma obtaining a divorce and elimination of Yoo Ki-jung's parental rights so they could move to America and start over. While it took another couple years for the actual trial and conviction, he was able to get "credit" for time already served in prison, hence why the time served starts from then.

It was actually interesting reading about how Korean laws and sentencing are done. There's actually still a law on the books that murdering yours or someone else's parents leads to a heavier sentence! Anyway, of course there will be more information in the future about Yoo Ki-jung's crimes.

The endearing thing is that JK and Isabella had both just lost their fathers (albeit in very different ways) but they didn't understand that shared experience immediately, not until they could better communicate. But they were both in a painful place when they found each other, and I genuinely believe that sort of "child ally through trauma" forged a deep bond between them in understanding each other.

The following days were hectic as ever. They were spent at broadcasting stations for the nightly music shows, going to other short events in between rehearsals for the shows, and the boys squeezing in practice whenever they could. It was like we barely had time to breath.

The fan reception and general reaction to BTS so far wasn’t bad at all, but unsurprisingly their lack of popularity didn’t win them any awards on the music shows. We weren’t disappointed, we had fully expected that in all honesty. Winning the shows wasn’t our goal, but rather getting them more publicity was.

After about two weeks of moving almost nonstop, we finally got a day where we could all rest. Sejin and I worked a little extra on whatever else we needed to do during the times we weren’t as needed at the boys’ schedules, in order to make sure we would be able to take this day to relax with them.

By the time I woke up, it was already 11 am. I looked in disbelief at my phone, wondering how I managed to sleep in that late – even if I was completely exhausted when I went to sleep the night before. While I was eating breakfast, I got a notification from the group chat.

Hobi: Noona~ You’re stopping by today right?

Taetae: You can’t hide in your apartment all day just because you have the day off. 😋

Jimin: Yeah, noona! We haven’t gotten to properly hang out at all since we’ve been so busy 😟

Yoongi: Sorry for them, noona. You do what you want today, don’t mind them.

Kookie: Noooooo. Noona, please? Pretty please come over? 🥺

Jimin: Why isn’t she responding?

Hobi: Noona are you okay?

Jin: She’s probably still sleeping. She was just as exhausted as we were, you know.

Joonie: Yeah guys, stop it. You’re probably going to wake her up from all the messages.

Taetae: Well, you’re texting in the chat too, hyung 😋

Joonie: Only one time.

Jimin: Well now it’s twice.

Jin: Guys, come on. Just leave it be. She’ll reply when she can.

Me: You guys live together and are probably all sitting next to each other. Why on earth are you talking to each other via text?

Taetae: Noona! You’re awake! :D

Me: Yes, I am. You guys sent the messages so fast I couldn’t keep up, haha.

Jin: Did you sleep well, darling? 🤗

Me: Yes I did, sweetie. 😘 How about you guys?

Joonie: Not having an alarm to wake up to was amazing.

Jimin: Noona~ When are you coming over~?

Yoongi: You don’t need to come over, noona. Just relax today.

Me: Oh okay, I see how it is Min Yoongi. You don’t want to see me. I understand. 😔

Yoongi: What? No. That’s not what I meant.

Taetae: HYUNG HOW COULD YOU? YOU’RE SO MEAN! 😭

Kookie: Wow, hyung.

Jimin: Yoongi hyung, why would you hurt noona like that?😟

Yoongi: -_-

Me: Don’t worry, I’m coming over lol. I’ll be there in like half an hour, okay?

Hobi: Yay! See you soon noona! 💓

I chuckled to myself. They were all such dorks and I loved them for it.

I finished breakfast and dressed in something comfy but presentable before walking across the hall and knocking on their door.

Jungkook greeted me with his soft smile as I walked into their house. I sat down in the living room next to Yoongi and Kookie sat next to me.

Suga peeled his eyes off of his phone to glance at me. “Oh, you’re here?”

“Yes, I’m here. Although I’m sure you’re not happy to see me,” I teased.

Yoongi huffed and shook his head, turning his attention back to the device in his hand.

“It’s okay, noona. I want you here,” Jungkook said as he placed his head on my shoulder.

“Thank you Kook-ah, I appreciate that.” I chuckles and placed a hand on his head.

Taehyung walked out from their bedroom. Once he noticed I was there, he rushed over yelling, “Noona!” and forced himself in between me and Yoongi.

Yoongi groaned in annoyance as he moved over so his brother wasn’t sitting on him. “Yah, can’t you sit somewhere else?”

“What?” Tae asked. “It’s not like you wanted to see noona anyway.”

“Why do you guys keep putting words in my mouth?” Yoongi asked. “I never once said that.”

“Whatever,” Tae said as he hugged me from the side.

I returned the embrace as best I could without making Jungkook move. “Why are you guys so excited to see me anyway? We’ve literally been spending entire days together for the past two weeks.”

“Yeah, but we haven’t really been able to talk or just hang out,” Hoseok said as he entered the room, sitting across from us. “Any downtime we had was basically spent catching up on sleep.”

“That is true,” I said with a chuckle.

I wasn’t used to being social before I met BTS. I would spend most of my time on my own, relaxing and just enjoying the quiet. It was a huge change for me once I started to spend most of my time with them rather than by myself, and it took some getting used to. But I had to admit that by now, I was used to the company and spending too much time alone made me actually feel lonely more than anything now.

We sat in silence for a little while, just being content with each other’s company and relaxing. Despite how much energy the boys usually had, they couldn’t run at 100% all day every day so I had a feeling today was going to be calmer than usual. They were completely exhausted but I could see how happy they were as well, being able to start living their dream even if it may not be perfect. I thought about how lucky we were to be here right now, no longer concerned about if they’d be able to debut or not.

When I was called up to Mrs. Choi’s office that day, she was fully honest with me about what had happened. They originally canceled on us because there was another group from a different company that was more promising. They ended up prioritizing them over our boys, which was also why they weren’t budging on giving us a date again at first. But the other group’s company decided to postpone their debut, so the date opened back up. That had happened just a couple days before I sent her the dance video, and with the date being so close her boss decided we would be good enough to fill the spot after all.

Although of course I told Sejin about it later, I hadn’t mentioned that to the boys, worried that it would make them feel worse. They already knew how much of underdogs they were, and I didn’t want one more thing to rub that in their faces.

“Noona,” Jungkook broke me out of me thoughts.

“Yes, Jungkook?” I asked, turning towards him.

“Is it going to be this busy every comeback?” He lifted his head off of my shoulder.

“Hmm, I can’t say for sure,” I said. “But probably. I know it sucks, but you know how busy this industry is. There’s so many other groups, we have to do what we can to help get your guys’ name out there.”

“It’s not like we didn’t know what we were getting into,” Namjoon said. He had entered the room at some point while I was lost in my thoughts.

“I wish I could make it easier on you guys,” I said. “I don’t like making you so busy. I want you to be able to rest more.”

“Don’t worry about it, noona,” Tae chimed in next to me. ��Like hyung said, we already knew what we were getting into. Besides, if we work hard now, then hopefully it’ll all pay off later.”

“Yeah,” Jungkook said. “I’d rather work as hard as I can now than regret not having tried my best later.”

I ruffled both boys’ hair. “You guys never cease to amaze me.”

“We love you too, noona,” Jimin suddenly said from behind me, making me jump.

“Don’t sneak up on me like that!” I said as the boys laughed at my reaction.

“You’re so easy to scare,” Hoseok said, laughing.

“Says the biggest scaredy cat out of all of us,” Jin retorted from the kitchen, earning more laughter from us.

I decided I wanted to cook for everyone today, partially so Seokjin could get a break from being the main chef and relax. But also because I had been practicing my Korean cooking skills over the months and wanted the boys to tell me what they thought. There weren’t too many groceries in our fridges since there hadn’t been much home cooking happening recently, so I ventured out to the grocery store. Jungkook decided to come with me so he can help me carry the bags.

Of course Jungkook had had a mask covering his face to make sure he didn’t draw any attention, but I didn’t bother with one. Face masks were just constricting and hard to breathe through (and I felt so bad for celebrities who needed to wear them all the time), and no one knew me so there really wasn’t a point.

As I was browsing through the different types of noodles to find what I was looking for, Jungkook went to the snack aisle to stock up on their dwindling stash. I found what I needed and went to look for Kook so we could finish up with the shopping and get going back to the house. When I turned into the aisle he was in, I noticed he was rather oblivious to the stares of a few girls who were watching him very closely.

As I walked past them, I heard one of them whisper, “Yeah, I’m sure that’s him. It has to be Jeon Jungkook.”

Great. This is wonderful. I was worried for a moment, but they did seem to be keeping their distance so I pushed it aside, thinking that they seemed like they wouldn’t cause any trouble. All we needed to do was get home.

“Hey,” I said as I approached Kook but made sure not to address him by name, just to be safe. “Almost ready to get going?”

He turned to me, holding a huge armful of snacks to place in my basket. “Yup! I got all the hyungs’ favorites and this should last us a while.” He noticed the girls staring, quickly turning away once he saw them. “Do you think they know me?” he asked me quietly as we walked the opposite direction down the aisle.

“Yeah, I heard them saying they thought it was you as I walked past them,” I responded just as quietly.

“That’s crazy, I’m getting recognized at the store,” he said, partially excited but mostly nervous.

“Not to be rude, but I think it’s better to not intentionally approach them,” I said.

“I know. Don’t worry, I’ll be careful,” Jungkook assured me.

We made it through the checkout and divided the bags between us to carry back to the dorm. Without making it obvious, I paid attention and listened carefully to see if the girls were going to follow us out of the store.

Unfortunately, they did. We couldn’t go home if they were following us because then they’d find out where we lived and that was the last thing we needed. They stayed probably about 10 feet behind us, and I could hear them giggling. I would feel so much more at ease if they just approached us to ask if he’s Jungkook and maybe for an autograph and just walk away. But it didn’t seem like they were going to.

I grabbed my phone to text one of the other boys to let them know we were running late so they wouldn’t worry. But in the middle of typing the message, my phone died. I cursed at myself for forgetting to charge it earlier today.

“Jungkook, can you let someone know we’re on our way home but running a bit late?” I quietly asked him.

“Okay.” He reached into his pocket, but seemed confused when he didn’t find his phone there. He felt around his other pockets, but was unsuccessful in finding it. He took a moment to think before a look of realization lit his eyes. “I forgot my phone at the dorm.”

“Darn,” I said. “Well I guess we’ll just have some explaining to do when we get back.”

I started to feel more and more nervous as we walked, not necessarily heading towards the dorm but rather just in any direction to wait until they stopped following us. I decided we should cross the street, hoping that if they stayed back far enough we could lose them after the light turned. We jogged across the street when the light was close to changing to make it hard for them to be able to follow.

I subtly glanced back to make sure the attempt to lose them was successful, and luckily they were unable to cross with us. We kept moving quickly, making sure to make a few turns before they could fully catch up to us just in case they kept trying to follow. When I felt sure there was no way they could have kept following us, I finally relaxed.

“Think we lost them, noona?” Jungkook asked.

“I’d be shocked if they were able to keep up with us,” I said. “Come on, let’s actually get home now.”

On top of the time we already spent to throw them off, it took us another extra 15 minutes to get back home. I kept looking behind us to make sure they hadn’t managed to find us again, and luckily it seemed we had shaken them off.

When Jungkook used his key to open the door, we were immediately bombarded with a worried BTS.

“What took you guys so long?” Jin asked, almost yelling. “We were worried something happened to you!” Before I could react, he pulled me into a hug. He must have been really worried because he held me really tight as if he was scared to let me go.

“Are you guys okay?” Namjoon asked as he examined Jungkook, who nodded in response while taking his mask off. “We tried calling you, but noona’s phone went right to voicemail and Jungkook you left your phone here.”

“Sorry guys,” I said. “My phone died.” Jin loosened his grip on me.

“What happened?” Jimin asked. “Grocery shopping shouldn’t take that long.”

“Some girls recognized me,” Jungkook said. “They kept following us and we had to walk around to try to lose them before heading home.”

“Did you take your mask off?” Yoongi asked.

“No, he was careful,” I said. “I have no idea how they could tell so easily.”

“Well, we’re just glad you guys are okay,” Hoseok said as he helped me take the ingredients out of the bags. “Oohhh, you got a lot of stuff, noona. What are you making?”

“You’ll just have to wait and see,” I teased.

“Can I help?” Tae said, shuffling over to me in the kitchen.

“No!” Jin and I said in unison.

Taehyung was a little taken back at our reaction.

“No, Taehyung,” Seokjin said. “You are not going to be making the kitchen a mess, nor are you going to sabotage the first meal noona is cooking for us.”

“Sabotage?” Tae said with a pout.

I placed a hand on his shoulder. “Taetae, there are many wonderful things about you. But cooking is not one of your strong points.” He frowned, but nodded in agreement. “Just leave it to me,” I said with a smile.

Everyone left me to my own devices while I worked on our meal, except Jin who occasionally came to see what I was doing. But he didn’t ask to help, knowing I was adamant about doing this on my own for them. While I stood at the stove waiting for the last bit of the food to finish cooking, he came up behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist and leaning down to rest his chin on my shoulder.

“You know, we were all super worried about you guys,” he said.

“I’m sorry, Jinnie,” I apologized sincerely. “I tried to let you know but that’s when my phone died.”

“It’s okay,” he said. “Just don’t do that again. You’re lucky it was just a few fangirls and not someone who wanted to hurt you.”

“It was irresponsible of me to not have my phone charged,” I said. “I’ll be much more careful from now on, I promise.”

“Good,” he said as he let go of me and placed a kiss on top of my head. “Looks like the food’s done. Can I help plate it?”

“Yeah, of course,” I smiled at him.

I watched everyone as they took their first bites of the meal I made for them, anxious of what they’d think.

I saw Jin’s eyes grow big after chewing a piece of meat. “Wow, this is really good, (Y/n)!” he said. “The seasoning is just right!”

“Oh my gosh,” Jimin exclaimed after finishing his bite. “Noona, you really should cook for us more often.”

“I agree!” Taehyung said. “This is up to par with Jin hyung’s cooking.”

“Well, he was my teacher for the most part,” I said while rubbing the back of my neck, shy from the compliments. Everyone seemed to agree that they enjoyed my cooking, which made me really happy. I was nervous with it being a style of food they grew up with but I was new to. “Thanks, guys. I’m glad you like it.” I smiled, watching them enjoy it.

“Noona, aren’t you hungry too?” Jungkook asked. “You haven’t eaten anything yet.”

“Oh yeah.” I was too busy watching everyone else I forgot about eating. I started to dig in, pleasantly surprised with myself for how much I liked the food as well.

By the time everyone was full, there wasn’t a single piece of food left. I didn’t know why I was surprised because despite having cooked a lot of food, there were seven of them and they also tended to have bigger appetites.

We all worked together to get everything cleaned up to make quick work of it.

“Thanks for the meal, noona. It was amazing,” Joon said.

“I’m glad you guys liked it,” I said. I looked at my (now charged) phone and saw that it was getting pretty late. “I’d better get going back home. We don’t want to stay up too late, we all have to get back to work tomorrow.”

As I got ready to leave, Jungkook came up to me, looking nervous.

“Is everything okay, Kook?” I asked. He nodded and then slowly wrapped his arms around me in a hug. “What’s this for?” I asked.

“Thank you for being smart about the situation earlier,” he said. “I would have just thought to go straight home, but that would have been bad.”

“Of course,” I said as I stroked his hair. “It’s my job to be responsible for you guys. That’s what I’m here for.”

He let go of me and smiled. “Good night noona.”

“Good night, Kookie,” I said, ruffling his hair. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”

Kimchi kalguksu

I’m here to review a O!Noodle brand noodle - kimchi kalguksu!

Kalguksu is knife-hand noodle in Korean & I really like the chewy texture of it - to the point where I’ve made it from scratch a few times. But. .. you know, 1. I’m lazy lol & 2. I like trying new products from Hmart!

I saw this kalguksu at Hmart, & it is a brand I really like. I’ve purchased the black bean noodles & jjambbong many times, but it was my 1st time seeing this kalguksu.

Contents: dehydrated kimchi blocks, dried veggies pack & the seasoning powder, with the noodles, of course.

I was slightly disappoined bcos these noodles resemble udon noodles. .. not the same noodles from the jjambbong & black bean noodle kits........ Which was fine that it was different since I was expecting it to be different. Sadly, these noodles were like the udon noodles that are square-ish in noodle shape - the ones I dislike......... But you know what, maybe it’ll surprise it!

I added some green onion & tofu so it wasn’t too boring :P

The soup was well-flavoured; I really liked the (idea of) dehydrated kimchi! It’s so convenient, & a part of me wished that was a separate product on its own!

Anyway, the noodle was .. not good. It was very soft! MUCH softer than the frozen udon noodles that I had initially compared it to. I’m not a big fan of thick, soft noodles...... & being advertised/packaged as “kalguksu”, I was not anticipating this disappointment.

So would I buy again? NOOOOOO.

NCT AS DIMENSION 20

okay so firstly, this is very niche but its been on my mind for literally ages now. im mostly gonna be focusing on fantasy high characters because that’s the one im most familiar with(d20 release free episodes of crown of candy already ;-; ya girl is suffering) i think i might write a fic or a couple more posts based off this concept but im not sure yet lvfksdvsk let’s get startedddddddd:

so i believe that 2000 line would be the most accurate for fantasy high main characters. i WAS gonna have dream at first but there are 7 members and there are only 6 mcs. so 2000 liners are pretty much perfect for this.  

okay idk if it’s me or renjun gives off the extremely polite vibes at first? like thinking of early dream era where he seemed really quiet and chill. buuuuut then i also flashback to him putting chenle in a chokehold in like mfal era which makes me think of the cafeteria scene. i dont think renjun is as anxious as adaine. hes def more confident and more forceful but i think he has that ethereal factor adaine has. renjun would absolutely be a high elf because he would be NOTHING less and he deserves it. i think wizard class fits him really well! also his tiny little elf ear may have convinced me to make him adaine....

so jeno is literally the most like gorgug and it makes me wanna cry kjfnvlsdkl they’re both such loveable sweethearts that are too good for this world but then sometimes???? they just get super intense and fucking insane and it scares me sometimes holy shit. gorgug deals massive damage in battle and can fucking wreck people and jeno,,,,,,lets not talk about it. ALSO i do think jeno would absolutely act like gorgug does with zelda(probably more likely when he was gorgug’s age but oh well) gorgug can be very ditzy(himboish if that’s a better word) but he gives really good advice.and i feel like even though jeno is so foolish, he is supportive and is a wonderful friend. i just fucking love them so much

HAECAHN IS LITERALLY FIG I FUCKING SHIT YOU NOT: in this essay i will explain why lee haechan is actually fig in disguise. not ONLY does he give a lot of affection/flirt with basically everyone, he’s literally the perfect definition o f bard. like come onnnnnnn. also he’s VERY mischievous and gets the gang into 90% of the trouble and somehow gets them out of it. the “makes problems on purpose but solves them by accident” type. it’s not just because i wanna see him play a bass and jeno on drums bc that would be sexy of them noooooo absolutely not. if you ever see haechan in an outfit similar to fig’s, just know i’ll be literally laying in a grave just know this. STYLISTS PUT THIS MAN IN FISHNETS IMMEDIATELY FOR SCIENCE PURPOSES. bitches be emotional and then say theyre closed off,,,,, literally haechan at both the last dream show with mark and the dream show before they would have graduated

HES A JOCK DWEEB DO I NEED TO GO FURTHER?? okay so i know that jaemin is pretty introverted and quiet at times bc he likes to chill and im the same way, but when he’s out of his shell or with people who share his energy HES LEGIT LIKE FABIAN. my man’s was a SPEED SKATER, which is so fucking surprising but not the point. im saying that he’s also pretty lean and quick when he wants to be and that makes him good for the type of fighter fabian is. not to mention the weird relationship both fabian and gorgug have and also jaemin and jeno’s relationship. a l s o fabian straight up punched gorgug and then started becoming his friend after being spending time in detention and stuff. jeno and jaemin legit joined at the same time and were seatmates in school and stuff like that.... but this aint about those two. also jaemin’s intonation is fucking funny sometimes but other times i AM willing to fight him bc he wont talk normally (this is a joke vksjdkjs) but the same goes for fabian. the confidence they both have is literally unmatched, its actually kinda scary

first of all look at how spiffy they look, its actually adorable. second, look at my gremlin childrennnnnnnn i love themmmm(yes i know riz is a goblin no i dont care) okay shotaro is literally a child and he’s kinda still new so he’s a bit shy. but he ACTUALLY terrifies me with how talented he is. like in the recent relay when he learned the dance in like an hour. my guy is so quick at picking things up, he’s the perfect riz. also his korean has gotten so good in just like 3 and a half months so that just showssssss how hardworking he is. i dont know, i feel like shotaro is hiding some feral energy and we just need to wait it out and he’ll be foaming at the mouth or smth. shotaro is a liiiiiiitle too cool for the Ball but they both kinda have that dorky feeling to them. like the kid brother whose hair you ruffle all the time. but all in all i just think he’s neat :]

okay the photos dont match that well but thats because i was trying to find him in the pink takeoff outfit and i couldnt find a good screenshot but that’s not the point. now you’re probably thinking “helios, yangyang cant be kristen. make him the Ball or fig or anybody else.” ohoho quite the opposite my friend. i think  yangyang is the most like kristen purely bc of the untapped chaotic energy these two have. i literally remember both my first impression of kristen and yy were that they were mostly harmless and then somehow they started speaking and holy shit im terrified of them now. it also makes yangyang being a healer very interesting. they’re both really caring and outgoing, but some of the shit they say literally makes me head fucking spin bc it’s so ridiculous. 

Honorable mentions: 

Taeyong is Prinicpal Aguefort bc he is one of the only ones who has that chaotic yet majestic energy he has. 

Johnny is either Johnny Spells or Jawbone. Johnny Spells because he hangs out with the kiddos a lot and i just think of the “johnny spells fucks” bit and it makes me laugh so hard. but also Jawbone because he’s our emotional support werewolf basically. he also gives great advice. 

Doyoung is Sandra Lynn because of how much of fig/haechan’s shit they have to put up with. also i think the dynamic’s are really funny and similar
