I think the worst thing that I've learned second hand about arcane is that the two characters I was rooting for kinda leave off with less than they started out with (not in terms of power, but in terms of in-universe support) and also those same characters are being hit with irl racism/misognoir dog whistles by a certain part of the fandom, like damn.

#i am not in the fandom nor have i watched the show btw #ppl who have pls dni just walk on by #yall are not my target audience pls overlook #but also calling a black character and the black va a monkey cause your fav got called a fascist is WILD work #“oh but shes not a fascist!!” its nice to know you think the proper response to that is racism like honey #its just soooo upsetting to know that in a series as diverse as arcane is fandom space is just... not safe for black ppl #and it really only takes one joke from minorities at the expense of your yt favs for yall to show yall asses #like are yall not ashamed?? a joke against a character is equivalent to being racist against an actual person???
