I fear Julia Quinn. She is simultaneously a very good and very questionable author. The Bridgerton books have so many points where they start getting good and then miss Quinn just pulls out the strangest poorly disguised fetish thing or randomly very sexist thing or like disturbingly modern turn of phrase and like the whole emersion is ruined.

#idk man idk writing books is hard but like girl get a grip #overall the show is written so much better #we dont talk about some of the choices in season 3 and some of thr plotlines in season 1 thats a different story #im sorry i cant get over how dirty they did cressida in season 3 like her arc was going somewhere and they fully squashed the momentum #anyways this wasnt about the show it was about the books #bridgerton books be freaky #bridgerton #bridgerton books #i mean like all of these books are promising until the first kiss scene why cant julia quinn write a firsr kiss scene that isnt insane #bridgerton analysis #bridgerton series #bridgerton family #also like JQ recycles so many of her characters personalities #and their dynamics #and it just gets kinda weird that all the bridgerton siblings found themselves in VERY similar relationships #and also its weird to me that they all like flirt the same and kiss the same and find the same things attractive and I JUST FIND THAT WEIRD.#thanks for coming to my ted talk
