oh my god I fucking hate my writing class so much
#the class is almost all 3rd/4th years in college#and mostly everyone is graduating at the end of the quarter#and we really have to sit through a god damned lecture on what a sentence fragment is?#you REALLY want us to follow an extremely specific format for an outline that basically forces you to write the whole paper already?#and you want us to submit the final draft with a 24 hour turnaround in the middle of the week?#thats just not fucking realistic#also. youre making us get peer reviews for an OUTLINE????? what the fuck are they gonna say? ‘it needs more development’ YEAH. its an OUTLIN#it not even a draft of the paper#i dont fucking have time to do multiple drafts of every fucking assignment we have and yet. here i fucking am.#god the outline format is so fucking far away from how i draft that its extremely frustrating and unhelpful#why cant we just fucking submit bullet points#all of this is just making me never want to have a career in a field i otherwise love#because of all of this stupid fucking busy work that i realistically wouldnt have to do#this isnt even haha stem major cant write!! i was an english/writing tutor for 3 goddamned years#almost all of my electives have been writing credits#i KNOW how to write and i KNOW how i write#and it is nothing like this formulaic bullshit im being forced to regurgitate#im extra bitter because i submitted a petition to try to not take this class and it was rejected#(i suspect bc the prof in charge of reviewing petitions is teaching the goddamned class)#it would be mostly fine if this were in person because then we would actually be on pace#and not behind and told okay do it on ur own time instead of we’ll finish next class#the effort to adapt this class so it functions well online was NOT made and it shows
