This. This is why I will defend Zelda to my death- I understand the frustration surrounding her constantly being a "damsel in distress" but I think we tend to forget that Zelda's Triforce is Wisdom, not Courage. That's not to say that Zelda's not brave or courageous- heck, look at Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Hyrule Warriors, Breath of the Wild, et cetera- but her strength, her true strength, comes from her ability to outsmart Ganon rather than overpower him.
In fact, I would even argue that Zelda's always had more agency in the narrative than we give her credit for, even all the way back in Zelda 1. We can't forget that in Zelda 1, she's canonically 10 years old. There's no way she'd be able to physically fight back against Ganon, who at this point is a senseless monster of chaos and destruction. So what does she do? She splits the Triforce of Wisdom into 8 pieces. She understands that she don't be able to defend herself against the prince of darkness, but she can defend the Triforce in the only way she knows how, and then send Impa to find someone who can defeat Ganon physically. This is implict and, regretfully, rather hidden in the lore, but it's there if you look. (And, if I'm being honest, for a plan made by a ten-year-old princess, it was a heck of a lot more effective than the plan made by another ten-year-old princess in Ocarina of Time.)
That being said, would I like to see a game where Zelda fights alongside Link ala Wind Waker but it's for the whole game? Yes, I'd love that. But if we think about it, Zelda's really always been fighting alongside Link, only in a different way.
Tumblr media
This comment made me shift my perspective on Zelda, no joke. I’ve always been annoyed (and still am) that there isn’t a game where you actually play as Zelda, but this does a nice job of showing WHY she’s always getting attacked first, and why Ganon/Demise are always defeated not long after Link reunites with her: she’s the true source of power to defeat them.

ok here's the lisa westworld parallels post i promised
disclaimer: i have not seen s4 of ww, did not really like s3, and am mostly basing my analyses off of s1 and s2
tldr there are a lot of similarities between the stories of buddy and dolores as victims of gender-based violence who revolt against those they view as a threat
to begin it's important to recognize that these are stories about gender-based violence. while yeah terrible shit happens to hosts (and real people) of all genders, ww centers around dolores (and also maeve), a woman who was sexually assaulted a lot. the character events of painful/joyful litchrally wouldn't have happened if not for a young girl being a victim of sexual abuse, and joyful is all about a girl constantly in danger of being sexually assaulted specifically because she is a girl.
dolores spends much of her life only partially aware of what and who she really is, drifting closer to sentience and then further away from it, and her dancing on the edge leads her to confusion, anger, and sadness. this eventually tips over into full on rage when she understands who and what she is and remembers all of the pain people inflicted on her - for the guests it was assault, harassment, even murder, but it was her creators and the employees who hid her true self away from her - and she's had enough of it, she flips the script, now she is the one in control, and she's fucking pissed. she's spent so many years as a plaything for people to use and abuse however they want, and for however much her creators cared for her, they still denied her free will.
her revenge quest, her self-righteous behavior, flaunting her new strength**, turning the tables on those who hurt her or who might hurt her, are how she responds to her new situation. because is she really that wrong to respond this way? she's finally not chained by people who raped her or killed her or might have raped or killed her, she's not acting irrationally***, she's avenging every life she's lost, she wants her oppressors to feel the same terror and pain she felt over and over and over again, to know how it feels in her shoes. her quest is defined by killing, not only park guests but also her fellow hosts, park staff. and the military guys sent in. she knows what they would do to her if they caught her. she feels herself changing, but she doesn't care, because it's new, and it's all her, not what someone is forcing her to be...but is she truly herself, is she truly free? she doesn't realize until it's too late how much teddy meant to her and how awful it was that she literally changed his brain because she knew he wouldn't stay with her otherwise. by the end of s2, she is horribly alone, and if bernard (ha) hadn't brought her back to life, she would have died alone.
it's really not that different from buddy, and even some parts of the setting are similar. olathe is kind of the wild west but with bigger guns and a wider variety of clothes. there are differences in buddy's own revenge quest, of course, notably the fact that while dolores' creator did prevent her from becoming sentient, she doesn't really seem to resent arnold for it. she's also a grown adult, not a child, and isn't jacked up on drugs, and the man she pushes away and who dies because of her is her boyfriend, not her brother. dolores' rebellion is more against the system of the park and she kills anyone who is either human or a host that poses a threat to her. buddy also doesn't shy away from mass violence, but she's rebelling against her father and a world full of people who objectify her. objectification is huge for both of them, literally in the case of dolores. both of them now have the chance to get back at the men who have/could assault them because they view them as objects, to keep themselves safe for the first time in forever, because they're capable of it.
they try to get rid of their past, but they can't, it catches up to them in the forms of the men close to them; buddy has brad and dustin, dolores has peter and teddy. notably peter and brad play completely different roles, but they both represent a tie to who the girls used to be that they can't or don't want to let go of. the same goes for dustin and teddy, they come with the girls into the future but they're so deeply built into their past that even in this new world, they have a hard time adjusting to the girls' ways of thinking and how they carry out their quests. teddy was forced to follow dolores' beliefs, dustin followed buddy because he wanted to keep her safe. but neither of them wanted senseless violence, and were forced into situations where they had to commit acts of violence they ordinarily wouldn't agree with. ultimately, they can't go on with helping these girls, even though they love them, because they've been hurt too deeply by them and the situations the girls have brought them into. dustin dies one way or another, and teddy kills himself.
depending on what you, the player, choose for buddy at the end of joyful, her ending could be the same as dolores': rejecting the fake world that their oppressors have given to them. dolores watches the hosts go through the door and their "brains" are uploaded to a fantasy world where they are free...but she doesn't agree, she doesn't think that this is freedom - she knows that real freedom is dangerous, but if humans get to have it, so does she. she says it's just another cage, refuses to enter it, and she destroys the door. if you choose to leave the hallucinations of buddy's family, she also rejects the fake world and chooses the real one, no matter how difficult it is to be a part of it. they fought their way through hell, but they're not done fighting.
while most of this is about dolores and buddy i think there are some similarities with william and brad, most notably how strongly they cling to the woman/girl they have objectified (in VASTLY different ways, william was in love(?) with dolores and brad is buddy's father, but they still didn't see the girls as their own people. william latches onto dolores because he's attracted to her and because she makes him feel needed. brad treats buddy as his sister by proxy and sees her as that above all else.), and how that attachment drives them to violence. now, i find brad's quest much more understandable (obviously there's like, issues, but it makes sense that he would not want his young daughter running loose around a ton of sex pests), because william's obsession with dolores is just disturbing, latching onto an android woman and refusing to let go of his obsession for DECADES, going to the park over and over again just to hurt the hosts and her in particular because he wants the hosts to learn to fight back. this destroys their relationships with others (while i'm like. eh about brad killing sticky or rick or both [i won't get into that rn BUT I SURE WILL AT SOME POINT], william was one of the reasons his wife committed suicide and he kills his own fucking DAUGHTER because of his paranoia and pride) and eventually leads to their downfall.
i don't think anyone will read this but it's also helpful for me to just type all this stuff out, and i love drawing parallels between media like this, it makes me so happy to see common themes and such between such vastly different creations, an indie RPG maker game vs. a prestige-ish HBO show. finding similarities is just one of those things that makes my heart go skittles color. yknow?
** like the parts where dolores is like, quoting her old lines when she was hanging guests, showing off her abilities with the tablet, stuff like that. it kinda made me cringe when i watched it from an audience's perspective but from her perspective it kinda makes sense. like she's had these lines fed to her her whole life and now she can use them in the context she wants. she's reveling in strength that she was never allowed to have. so she's hamming it up for fun lmao
***what i mean by 'not acting irrationally' is that it makes sense that she, as a rape and worse victim and because of her new more aggressive personality, is hostile towards the guests because she knows that they might very well plan on (or maybe already have) done those acts to her. like it makes sense for her as a character.

Alexis Rodman: The Untold Story of a Woman Defying Odds
Tumblr media
Life isn’t always smooth sailing, and Alexis Rodman knows this all too well. As the daughter of NBA legend Dennis Rodman, she grew up in the shadow of immense fame. However, Alexis has worked diligently to craft her own identity, proving that being connected to a celebrity doesn’t define your entire story. While her father’s flamboyant persona captured headlines, Alexis chose a quieter path, focusing on her individuality and personal growth. Her journey has been one of resilience and determination, carving out a life that reflects her own aspirations, not those of her famous lineage. Alexis’s story is a powerful reminder that stepping out of someone else’s shadow takes courage, but it can also lead to extraordinary personal fulfillment. By embracing her own potential, Alexis has become an inspiring example of strength and self-discovery in the face of immense public scrutiny.
Who Is Alexis Rodman?
Alexis Rodman was born into fame, but that doesn’t mean her life has been all glitz and glamour. Born in 1988 to Dennis Rodman and Annie Bakes, she grew up during her father’s heyday as an NBA superstar. However, the spotlight didn’t necessarily bring ease or comfort.
Growing Up Rodman
Childhood wasn’t ordinary for Alexis. With a father known for his eccentric personality and controversial antics, there were bound to be challenges. Media attention wasn’t something she chose—it was thrust upon her. Despite the external chaos, Alexis’s mother played a significant role in providing stability during those formative years.
Challenges in the Shadow of Fame
Growing up as Dennis Rodman’s daughter came with its fair share of ups and downs. While some might assume fame guarantees a life of privilege, Alexis Rodman’s reality was far more complex.
Emotional Struggles: As a child, Alexis dealt with the emotional turbulence of her parents’ divorce.
Public Scrutiny: Living under the microscope wasn’t easy. From a young age, she faced assumptions and judgments about her character simply because of her last name.
Identity Crisis: Who wouldn’t struggle to define themselves when constantly compared to an internationally recognized parent?
Yet Alexis didn’t let these obstacles define her story. Instead, she found ways to rise above them.
Alexis Rodman’s Journey to Independence
Stepping Out of the Spotlight
While her father thrived in the limelight, Alexis made a conscious decision to lead a quieter life. Unlike Dennis, who relished the media’s attention, Alexis opted to focus on her personal growth and self-discovery. Choosing to live outside the public eye allowed her to build a life of substance, free from the pressure of meeting others’ expectations.
Forging Her Own Path
Rather than leaning on her father’s fame, Alexis pursued her own interests. Though details about her professional life remain scarce, one thing is clear: Alexis values authenticity over superficial success. Her story is a reminder that success doesn’t have to look flashy—it can be found in leading a fulfilling, meaningful life.
Lessons From Alexis Rodman
What can we learn from Alexis Rodman’s journey? Plenty. Her story is a rich source of wisdom for anyone looking to break free from societal expectations.
Stay True to Yourself: Alexis’s decision to lead a private life is proof that you don’t have to conform to others’ standards of success.
Resilience Is Key: Life threw plenty of curveballs her way, but Alexis demonstrated the importance of perseverance.
Embrace Individuality: She carved out her own identity, proving that your name doesn’t define your destiny.
Behind the Scenes: Alexis Rodman’s Personal Life
Though Alexis keeps a low profile, she is reportedly happily married with children. Balancing her roles as a wife, mother, and individual, Alexis continues to prioritize family over fame. For her, success lies in nurturing meaningful relationships rather than chasing public approval.
How Alexis Rodman Redefines Legacy
When people hear the name "Rodman," they often think of Dennis’s legendary basketball career and flamboyant personality. Alexis Rodman, however, offers a refreshing contrast. She redefines the family legacy by emphasizing humility, authenticity, and resilience.
Breaking Generational Patterns
Despite growing up amidst turmoil, Alexis has shown that it’s possible to rise above family struggles. By focusing on creating a stable, grounded life for herself and her loved ones, she’s breaking generational patterns and paving the way for a brighter future.
Why Alexis Rodman’s Story Matters
In a world obsessed with fame and fortune, Alexis Rodman’s life serves as a powerful counter-narrative. She reminds us that it’s okay to choose peace over popularity and substance over spectacle. Her journey underscores the importance of living authentically, even when it’s not the easiest path.
Conclusion
Alexis Rodman may have started her life in the shadow of one of basketball’s most iconic figures, but she’s proven herself to be much more than “Dennis Rodman’s daughter.” By prioritizing self-discovery, family, and authenticity, Alexis has written her own narrative—a narrative that inspires us all to embrace our individuality and persevere through life’s challenges.

Who Is Dan Campbell's Wife? Unveiling the Woman Behind the Coach
Tumblr media
Dan Campbell is a name that echoes through NFL circles, especially among Detroit Lions fans. Known for his tough-guy persona, memorable press conferences, and passion for football, Campbell has made quite a splash in the world of coaching. But when the whistle blows and the stadium lights dim, Campbell returns to a different world—one filled with love, family, and unwavering support from his wife. So, who is Dan Campbell’s wife, and what role does she play in his life both on and off the field?
The Mystery Woman: Who Is Dan Campbell’s Wife?
First things first: who is Dan Campbell's wife? As of recent information, Dan Campbell is married to Holly Campbell. The couple has been together for over two decades, solidifying their bond long before Campbell gained fame as an NFL coach.
Holly, while preferring to keep a relatively low profile, is widely recognized as the steady rock in Campbell’s life. She has supported him through the highs and lows of his football career, from his early days as a player to his rise through the coaching ranks. Though she’s not one to grab the limelight, Holly’s influence is undoubtedly felt behind the scenes.
How Did Dan and Holly Campbell Meet?
Like many love stories, Dan and Holly’s began long before the glitz and glamor of the NFL. The two reportedly met while Campbell was attending Texas A&M University. Their connection blossomed, and they were married soon after. Through the ups and downs of life, they’ve weathered the challenges that come with the unpredictable nature of a football career.
A Marriage Built on Football and Family
It’s no secret that life in the NFL can be demanding, and for Dan Campbell, balancing a career as a professional coach and a family man has been an art form. So, what’s it like to be married to an NFL coach? According to sources close to the couple, Holly Campbell plays a pivotal role in ensuring that home life runs smoothly, allowing Dan to focus on his work with the Lions.
A Supportive Role
One of the defining features of Dan and Holly’s relationship is their mutual support for each other. While Dan may be the one in the public eye, Holly’s contributions to their family and her constant support have been crucial to his success. Whether it’s during a losing season or a tough transition between teams, Holly has remained a pillar of strength, helping Dan stay grounded through it all. In interviews, Dan has occasionally alluded to the importance of family, crediting his wife for her support and understanding. It’s clear that Holly’s behind-the-scenes influence enables Dan to stay focused on his demanding career.
Raising a Family
Dan and Holly Campbell are proud parents to two children—a son and a daughter. While their names are kept private to protect their privacy, Dan has expressed on numerous occasions how much his family means to him. Balancing the pressures of the NFL with fatherhood isn’t easy, but the Campbells have managed to create a stable, loving environment for their children, even with the constant moves that come with Dan’s job.
What’s Life Like for Holly Campbell?
Although Holly Campbell avoids the limelight, that doesn’t mean she’s a background figure. In fact, behind the scenes, Holly is fiercely independent and enjoys a rich personal life outside of Dan’s coaching career. From being actively involved in the community to focusing on her personal interests, Holly’s life is filled with meaning beyond her role as “Coach’s wife.”
Holly’s Own Interests
While details about Holly’s personal life remain somewhat elusive, it’s known that she has interests beyond the world of football. Sources suggest that Holly is passionate about fitness and health, which could explain why Dan Campbell—known for his love of weightlifting and staying fit—seems to share this interest with his wife.
Balancing Public and Private Life
As you might expect, being the spouse of a public figure comes with its own set of challenges. While Dan often finds himself in the spotlight, Holly prefers a quieter, more private life. This balance seems to work well for the couple, as Dan has never shied away from acknowledging how much his wife means to him, even if she chooses to keep a low profile.
A Look at the Campbells' Love Story
Key Moments in Dan and Holly Campbell’s Marriage
College Sweethearts: Dan and Holly met during their time at Texas A&M, and they’ve been inseparable since.
Married for Over 20 Years: Their long-lasting marriage is a testament to their mutual respect and love.
Parents to Two Children: Despite Dan’s hectic NFL schedule, family always comes first.
Support System: Holly has been by Dan’s side through the ups and downs of his playing and coaching career, offering him stability and love.
Conclusion
Who is Dan Campbell's wife? The answer is simple yet multifaceted—Holly Campbell is a supportive partner, loving mother, and the rock behind one of the NFL’s most charismatic coaches. Though she prefers to stay out of the limelight, her influence on Dan Campbell’s success is undeniable. Their love story, which began in college and has endured through years of career ups and downs, is a testament to the strength of their relationship. Whether it's balancing family life or being a source of encouragement during the NFL grind, Holly plays an invaluable role in Dan’s life. While Holly may remain a mystery to the public in many ways, one thing is clear: she’s much more than just “Coach’s wife”—she’s the foundation that keeps their family thriving. In the not-so-distant future, the world had transformed under the influence of genetic modification, now a commonplace practice not just for crops and animals, but for humans as well. The Rare Breeds Survival Trust, originally founded to conserve endangered livestock breeds, had expanded its mission to include the preservation of natural human genetics, a rare commodity in an era dominated by designer traits.
Amid this backdrop lived Ava, a young woman with striking seafoam green hair—a color achieved through the popular gene-editing kits of her time. However, Ava was unique, not for her vibrant hair or the flawless skin fashioned by geneticists, but because she was one of the last naturally born humans, untouched by genetic modification.
Ava resided in a small, technologically advanced city where every surface shimmered with digital interfaces and robotics handled daily chores. Yet, despite the technological marvels surrounding her, Ava felt a profound disconnect. Her only solace was her collection of vintage stuffed animals, relics from a time when synthetic materials and robotic toys weren't the norm.
On a crisp winter day, as Ava decorated her home for the festive season, she received an encrypted message from the Rare Breeds Survival Trust. They had been monitoring her due to her genetic rarity and now needed her help. Genetic diversity was dwindling rapidly, and with it, the human immune system was weakening. The Trust believed that Ava's untouched genetics might hold the key to a remedy.
Ava was hesitant but intrigued. The Trust arranged for her to meet with Dr. Elara, a geneticist who specialized in pre-modification human genetics. Together, they embarked on a quest to uncover genetic sequences that could enhance human resilience without resorting to synthetic modifications.
Their journey took them to the old gene banks and archives, digging through data and samples, piecing together the complex puzzle of human genetics. As they worked, Ava grew increasingly aware of the value of her own natural heritage, a link to a past when humanity was defined not by the alterations they could make to themselves, but by their inherent nature.
Finally, after months of research, Ava and Dr. Elara developed a new kind of gene therapy that could bolster human health using sequences inspired by natural genetics. The treatment was a blend of old and new, a testament to the balance that could exist between technology and nature.
Ava became a spokesperson for natural genetics, advocating for diversity and the preservation of unmodified humans. She traveled the world, sharing her story and the importance of the Rare Breeds Survival Trust's new mission, reminding people that in their rush to perfect themselves, they must not forget the beauty and strength found in the unaltered essence of humanity.
Through Ava's efforts, the world slowly began to recognize the importance of genetic conservation, not just for animals but for humans as well. The Rare Breeds Survival Trust had evolved, but its core mission remained the same: to safeguard the natural diversity that makes life on Earth so rich and robust. Ava, with her seafoam green hair and collection of old-world toys, stood as a symbol of the delicate balance between progress and preservation, a beacon of hope in a world teetering on the brink of genetic uniformity.

Whether it is in their personal relationships, career choices, or life goals, empowered women take ownership of their decisions and empower others to do the same.
Advocacy True empowerment extends beyond individual self-empowerment to encompass advocacy and activism for the rights and equality of all women. Empowered women are vocal advocates for gender equality, social justice, and human rights. Johari and Sarah, the hosts of Free of Fear Full of Joy, utilize their platforms and voices to uplift marginalized voices and effect positive change in their communities and society at large. They recognize the importance of solidarity and collective action in dismantling barriers and creating a more inclusive and equitable world for future generations.
Resilience and Adaptability In the face of setbacks, empowered women demonstrate resilience and adaptability. They embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and learning. They refuse to be defined by their failures or setbacks. They navigate life’s ups and downs with grace and resilience. They draw strength from their experiences and use them as stepping stones to greater heights of success and fulfillment.
Compassion Empowerment is not just about individual success or achievement. Rather, it is also about lifting others and fostering a sense of compassion and empathy for those around us. Empowered women lead with kindness and empathy. They support and uplift other women in their journeys towards empowerment. They recognize the power of sisterhood and collaboration in effective positive change and creating a more compassionate and connected world for all.
The Dynamic Nature of Women's Empowerment The concept of women empowerment is dynamic. It encompasses a range of qualities and attributes that empower women to live authentically, purposefully, and boldly. The definitions may vary. But empowered women often embody qualities such as advocacy, compassion and the like.
Free of Fear Full of Joy, a podcast for women, explores these qualities and offers diverse perspectives on what it truly means to be an empowered woman in today’s world. You can start listening to every episode on Spotify.

Do you have a Billionaire Wife?
In a society often captivated by material wealth and opulence, the term "billionaire wife" may conjure up images of an affluent spouse with immense financial resources. However, this portrayal fails to acknowledge the deeper significance and value that lies within the role of a billionaire wife.
Rather than measuring her worth solely in monetary terms, a billionaire wife possesses character traits that nurture her husband and contribute to his mental peace, attitude, and motivation to achieve financial success.
This essay delves into the qualities that define a billionaire wife, highlighting the significance of emotional support, partnership, and personal growth in fostering the environment necessary for the pursuit of financial abundance.
Emotional Support and Stability:
A billionaire wife, first and foremost, serves as a pillar of emotional support for her husband. She understands the pressures and challenges that come with wealth creation, offering her unwavering encouragement during both triumphs and tribulations. Through her presence, she instills a sense of calmness and stability, shielding her husband from unnecessary distractions that may hinder his progress. By nurturing a peaceful and harmonious environment at home, she fosters the mental peace necessary for her husband's focus and dedication to his endeavors.
Cultivating a Positive Attitude: A billionaire wife possesses an innate ability to cultivate a positive attitude within her husband. She recognizes the importance of optimism, resilience, and a can-do mindset in navigating the turbulent waters of wealth creation. Through her unwavering belief in her husband's capabilities, she infuses him with the confidence needed to overcome obstacles and setbacks. Her unwavering positivity becomes a source of inspiration, helping her husband maintain a forward-looking perspective that is crucial for long-term success.
Motivation and Ambition: Behind every successful man stands a woman who continually motivates and fuels his ambition. A billionaire wife understands the importance of setting ambitious goals and strives to create an environment that fuels her husband's hunger for success. She shares his vision, aligning her own aspirations with his, and supports him in his pursuit of greatness. Her unwavering motivation serves as a catalyst for her husband's drive, propelling him forward on the path to financial abundance.
Partnership and Collaboration:
A billionaire wife embraces the concept of partnership, recognizing that true wealth is not merely the result of individual efforts but a collective endeavor.
She actively participates in her husband's ventures, providing valuable insights, networking opportunities, and a fresh perspective.
Through open communication and collaboration, she amplifies her husband's strengths, compensates for his weaknesses, and propels him towards new heights.
Their partnership becomes an embodiment of the adage "two heads are better than one," fostering a dynamic environment where ideas flourish and success thrives.
Personal Growth and Continuous Learning:
A billionaire wife embodies a commitment to personal growth and continuous learning. She recognizes that her own development directly contributes to her husband's growth and success. By seeking knowledge, expanding her horizons, and honing her skills, she becomes an invaluable asset to her husband's endeavors. Her constant quest for self-improvement serves as an inspiration, motivating her husband to push his own boundaries and explore new possibilities.
Conclusion:
In a world that often focuses on the materialistic aspect of wealth, it is crucial to recognize that the true essence of a billionaire wife lies beyond the monetary realm. She is not defined by the billions of dollars she possesses but by the qualities she embodies: emotional support, positivity, motivation, partnership, and personal growth. These character traits enable her to create an environment that nurtures her husband's mental peace, attitude, and motivation, contributing significantly to his pursuit of financial success. By redefining the notion of a billionaire wife, we begin to appreciate the profound impact she

You Are An ALPHA Woman
An "alpha female" is a term that is sometimes used to describe a woman who is confident, assertive, and takes charge in various aspects of her life. This term is often used in the context of leadership or social dynamics, and it may suggest that the woman in question is ambitious, driven, and successful. However, it is important to note that the concept of an "alpha" or dominant personality has been contested in the scientific community, and some researchers argue that such labels oversimplify complex social interactions and may not accurately reflect the diversity of personality types and traits that exist in humans.
The term "alpha female" typically refers to a woman who is perceived as confident, assertive, and successful in her personal and professional life. Some people use the term to describe a woman who takes charge and leads others, while others use it to describe a woman who is highly independent and self-sufficient. However, it's important to note that the concept of an "alpha female" is a societal construct, and there is no one set of characteristics that defines what it means to be an "alpha female." Ultimately, the term is subjective and can be interpreted in different ways depending on the context and individual perspectives.
However, here are some potential signs that someone may perceive as signs of an alpha female
Confidence: An alpha female typically exudes confidence, both in herself and in her abilities. She may be self-assured and comfortable in her own skin.
Assertiveness: An alpha female may be assertive and unafraid to speak her mind. She may be comfortable making decisions and taking charge.
Independence: An alpha female may be highly independent and self-sufficient. She may be able to handle challenges on her own and not rely on others for help.
Success: An alpha female may have achieved a high level of success in her personal and professional life. She may be driven to accomplish her goals and may not be afraid to take risks.
Leadership: An alpha female may possess leadership qualities and be able to motivate and inspire others. She may be comfortable taking charge and guiding others toward a common goal.
She is not afraid of saying no and knows how to say no without feeling guilty.
There are many more personality traits that make her unique. If you can relate to the majority of signs as mentioned above, you are an alpha female. And you should be proud to be one.
But the next question is that most of the men find such women intimidating. So this question is for men. What is it that you will get when you are in a relationship with an alpha woman? One thing is for sure if you happen to date an alpha woman, she will be your strength. She will not only pull you up but also stick around during austerity. The only condition is to hit the correct strings. It's important to recognize that being an "alpha female" does not necessarily preclude someone from seeking a romantic relationship with a man or any gender. Just like any other person, an alpha female may desire companionship, love, and a fulfilling relationship with a partner. In terms of what an alpha female might look for in a partner, it really depends on the individual. However, some common traits that an alpha female might value in a partner include:
Confidence: Someone who is confident in themselves and their abilities may be attractive to an alpha female.
Independence: An alpha female may be drawn to a partner who is also independent and self-sufficient, as they may appreciate someone who is capable of handling challenges on their own.
Ambition: An alpha female may be attracted to someone who is ambitious and driven to achieve their goals, as they may share similar values and priorities.
Respect: An alpha female may expect and value mutual respect in a relationship, where both partners respect each other's opinions, choices, and boundaries.
Emotional intelligence: An alpha female may appreciate someone who is emotionally intelligent and able to communicate effectively, as this may lead to a more fulfilling and supportive relationship.
As an alpha female, you should lookout for a beta male. Two alphas may conflict and may not gel well.

Netflix Persuasion Trailer Reaction:
I don’t understand why the filmmakers had to make Persuasion more “feminist.” It already IS feminist!! Anne has strong female friends and role models such as Lady Russell and Mrs. Croft that she relies upon. I found it BADASS when Mrs. Croft talked about sailing the world with her husband the admiral, it’s a total contrast to the indoor, sedentary lifestyle of rich Regency ladies. Also Lady Russell is one of Anne’s few friends who supports her while her family ignores her. Significantly Lady Russell is allowed to be flawed too - though her advice is generally sound, she cares too much about social status and and first fails to recognize Captain Wentworth’s merit. In order to have actual FEMINIST female characters, they should be allowed to be flawed because women are people too (duh but to me that’s the point of feminism) who are imperfect yet still deserving of respect.
Why did they have to make Anne Elliot a modern “girl boss” who makes snarky comments? As many others have said this would work for Elizabeth Bennet, but not Anne since she’s more reserved compared to Elizabeth. Also if Anne is a modern girl boss why is she still pining over a man she dismisses as her “ex?” Modern girl bosses don’t need men they hate them!
Persuasion starts off as a sad story because Anne (persuaded by Lady Russell) has given up the chance of love with Wentworth since his social status was lower than her’s. So obviously the forced comedy based on modern jokes doesn’t suit the mood of the story. It doesn’t make sense to have Anne dressing up in a fake mustache to impersonate a caricature of Wentworth because the memory of him and the chance she had to be happy with him brings her pain. In fact she is mortified when he first visits her after 8 years because she’s afraid she looks old and ugly. To me, that is a shrewd commentary on how society values women purely on external beauty rather than their integrity. How is this boring or outdated?
To me, Anne is defined by quiet strength and maturity rather than snarky comments. Anne is feminist because she gains more independence throughout the novel. Initially she has buried her feelings and focused on maintaining the family estate while her family members emotionally neglect her and live beyond their means. She helps others but they don’t appreciate her kindness and ignore her. For example when Louisa Musgrove falls she responds to the situation calmly and quickly while everybody else (including Wentworth) freaks out. She is also intelligent as shown by her discussion of poetry with Captain Harville and her challenging Captain Benwick when he implies women aren’t capable of dedication in long-distance relationships. She also displeases her family by befriending a poorer, yet honest, woman instead of sucking up to an arrogant noble lady. And the real kicker is the ending states that Anne’s domestic work as a Navy wife is equally as important as her husband’s role in the Navy. Please tell me how this isn’t feminist.
The book itself has humor too so there’s no need to add in anachronistic modern jokes that don’t work. Mr. Elliot perfectly fits the rom-com trope of douchebag love interest, and you also have your typical Austen characters like perfectly healthy people who act like invalids and snobby rich people like Anne’s father who is obsessed with his appearance and likes mirrors. We like Austen’s humor because it pokes fun at morally deficient/arrogant people.
Lastly the only good thing about this film is casting Henry Golding as Mr. Elliot. It suits the character, who’s a typical Austen villain in the sense that he’s good looking but deceptive.

Graham Coxon's Foreword to Narcissus & Goldmund
At seventeen I was wide-eyed and thirsty. I was a student studying General Art and Design. I was a sponge determined to absorb everything I could. All new experiences rang with significance - the pictures, the films, the books, the music, the photographs, they all filled my world with a sense-heightening mess of magic, I humbly held artists of any kind in very high esteem, marvelled at their work. I would walk the streets of Colchester dressed in overalls and tweed, smelling of turpentine and oil paint, much to the despair of my mother. I was a proud student, an honoured aesthete.
At this time, one teacher made a particular impression on me and the rest of my group, although to many it was a bad one. This teacher appeared from nowhere and seduced us into defining ourselves and, in doing so, unwittingly split our group into factions - or at least accelerated the process. What she did was simple and playful but left me feeling as though I had undergone an important personal and creative development. She stacked tables and chairs to the ceiling, climbed up and hung up a roll of tape with string. She then encouraged us to draw it as it swung around the room. The precious graphic design types rolled their eyes, silently mouthed curses, felt for their fine-nibbed pens and bemoaned the prospect of another two hours with a teacher that was so obviously a weirdo; but to others, those of a looser nature, myself included, this eccentrically dressed, enthusiastic, beaming woman immediately became a heroine, and we slashed at our huge sheets of paper with our sticks of charcoal. The already cynical graphic artists thought her teaching pointless and undignified, but the fine artists loved her and admired the unashamed energy and enthusiasm she displayed so unselfconsciously. You were for her or against her. She neither patronized us nor intellectualized, and so created an environment in which we began to the making of marks on paper as a highly personal, sensual, spiritual act.
Late one morning I was sitting drinking coffee and smoking one of those very, very first cigarettes, when she smiled over at me and came to join me at the table. "There's a book you should read, Graham, if you haven't already. I think you would love it. It's called Narcissus and Goldmund. The title alone made me imagine it might be heavy-going, so I found myself avoiding the book for quite a while. I don't know why I didn't at least give it a go. Maybe I wanted to preserve the feeling of excitement of knowing that something beautiful and hugely important was just around the corner but felt it so intimidating that I was loath to quit the comfort of loitering in an adjacent alley. Maybe I felt flattered that a woman I greatly admired thought me mature enough or intelligent enough to contemplate recommending such a book. I am sure she recognized that I was more an empty vessel than a full one and wanted to contribute a little to filling me up, so maybe I was afraid that I would leave the book unfinished or find it boring and in so doing fail my new teacher. Maybe, maybe, maybe...
In any case, time went by, and I left the college and moved on to take a degree in Fine Art at Goldsmiths' College, part of the University of London. The book had been itching away at me for around three years by the time I finally bought it, turned to the first page and, breathing in deeply, took the plunge. I need not have worried. I didn't find the book at all difficult to read, and I was quickly immersed in it totally.
Although I now find myself in the privileged position of writing a foreword to this deeply moving and powerful book, I don't feel in the least bit qualified to do so. I never studied philosophy and I don't consider myself a 'thinker' as such, but I am an asker, an asker of big questions, and always felt there was more to learn and more to  experience right from the beginnings of my impressionable adolescence right up to now and my impressionable late youth.
The clean simplicity of Hesse's writing offers a vast space in which to push your weightless mind, and, although you can see the universe between the lines, he never forces you to venture too deeply but, rather, leaves it entirely up to you as to how far in you might like to travel. This is not just a story. This book is a gentle arm around the shoulder. It gets us off the hook, treasures us that there is still time, that surrender is possible even it is a surrender to ourselves, that no matter how recklessly we bolt out into the unknown the journey home is a brief one. It lets us know that even when we become lost in the crazed volatility of what we think of as freedom, reaching the very edge of our own flat world, gazing petrified over the edge at the black expanse of our own demise, we are but a change of hardened heart away from the innocence of our beginnings, from peace.
We see that outward journeys are easy - essential if somewhat desperate assertions of our will and independence. After all, we have first to be filled with something for an inward journey to be possible. This book made me wonder just how far down the dangerous roads of our early adult lives does the pull of a simpler  life begin to tug at our sleeves. When does the overbearing din of hollow seduction suddenly fall on deaf ears? Does the balance need to be addressed? If so, then when, finally, does an existence free of clutter prove more desirable than one of chaos?
I think we can all see ourselves in Goldmund. His experiences can relate sharply to our own, they melt and shape themselves into the mould of our own lives. Life and the material world was designed to seduce, and we ourselves are designed to be seduced by it. We career, uncompromisingly, through our early lives, proud of our strength and youth but never treasuring it. Maybe that's how it should be, that we squander it if only to mourn it later when we don't feel so invincible and have to savour each day of our late adulthood. Perhaps this may be why as we get older, we like more what we see when we close our eyes. Could this be God's way of making the transition into the next life a smoother, less traumatic one?
This book has proven itself to be a template to me. It has a perfect and gentle tension and familiar dynamic shape. It's a book where you can plot your own progress and plan your own happy ending. It has been a source of great inspiration to me throughout the sixteen years its words have been rooted in my head. It is a book that you can never grow out of because you grow into it, and it softens around you like a good old pair of shoes. It is not without its tragedy and its blood and its guts but shows this aspect of life to be as much a valid part of the journey as happiness.
Narcissus and Goldmund is a well from which we can draw limitless emotional strength, and I am not ashamed to say that I am extremely jealous that you might just be reading it for the first time.

GQ MEXICO - PEDRO PASCAL 2021
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It seems that Pedro Pascal is in all possible universes. Here and there. In the past, in the present, and in galaxies far, far away. Today, the actor is considered the great entertainment reference and one of those in charge of saving a franchise that seemed lost. Enough reasons to talk exclusively about discipline, gastronomy, creeds and how he traumatized his father in 30 seconds.
The RAE defines 'creed' as the set of ideas, principles or convictions of a person or a group. For example, by creed, one can leave his country and be in exile. It happens that one can leave the loved one behind. Or simply live in another reality. And also one can put on a helmet to pretend never to take it off again. If that is the path to follow, the creed says that it must be done with the profession of faith and without stopping to look. Turning the pages of the script for The Mandalorian , the Disney + series that revived passion and nostalgia for the Star Wars franchise , Pedro Pascal came across this definition in every dialogue and moment, and reflection carved his way.
Tumblr media
More than two decades have passed since the Chilean-American, Pedro Pascal, began his acting career and today, named as the great reference of 2020 , he misses the theater and it still hurts him not to have the discipline to exercise and maintain a diet sana while acknowledging the irony of having the best year of her career in the midst of one of the worst in recent history. But even in physical solitude, the man who carried the best-selling Christmas baby rescues many positive things and shares his vision of the universes he has traveled through, his passion for distant galaxies and how to traumatize your family with a simple scene of TV. In an interview, the Mandalorian of Latinamerica.
IMDB named you the 2020 benchmark in entertainment, a year in which the world took refuge in fiction. How was living your best time locked up and what do you rescue on a human level from it?
The strength of family relationships and friendship. For them, we endure this physical loneliness. I do find it ironic that in 2020 I received projects so well received by the public, although they were carried out before the pandemic and their impact was during it, and that year I was isolated and alone. But I must emphasize that this loneliness is a privilege when many people had to continue working, surviving and maintaining the functioning of the world. We only had to be alone, but they more than that and you must value it too.
Among the activities you have missed, how much do you miss the theater?
Much indeed. It's something that I miss the most and being with people without being afraid. See a play and return to those experiences of being with people doing and living things in common. That is what I need most, in addition to my loved ones.
Disney fully entered streaming and its strong letter has your face, what do you think of the discussion of platforms against movie theaters?
There are incredible things in streaming and many people develop great projects that they did not have access to before. The diversity of voices is gaining ground and it is important to recognize that opportunities grow exponentially and boundaries change. It is incredible the availability that we have to very well made content and how creative people can share their work in different ways. But I also want to be honest: limiting the experience of watching content only on our gadgets or at home is a mistake that affects the stories we can tell. You have to achieve a mix of opportunities and challenges.
Tumblr media
You jump between the fictional universes that mark the last decades until you reach the universe of universes. What is your first Star Wars memory and how do you summarize the essence of this legendary story?
For me, Star Wars is nostalgia itself. It is one of the primary things in my memory, of my childhood. I came to the United States with my Chilean family when I was less than two years old and one of my first memories is going to the movies with my dad to see the saga ; it becomes one of those romantic childhood things that opens your mind, so imagine how special it is to participate in this project. I think the creators of The Mandalorian perfectly understand this nostalgia and that power, and they managed to count on that element as a great ally for the world of Star Wars and I couldn't be happier to be part of it. (From which we expect the third season The Mandalorian)
The Mandalorian exploits the power and nuances of your voice, did you have that letter on your resume?
I didn't know I could do it, but I resorted to my theater preparation, which was very physical on all levels and feelings. There are elements that have to do with and that are essential to create a role, and they teach you that the voice is something primary, something you have to start with and you cannot hide. Now I have learned much more about the importance of that, and how to use it economically. The body also has to do with that, because something very subtle communicates something. In The Mandalorian , I had a great time figuring out how to do it, they gave me the opportunity to develop it in different ways. The opportunity to be very intense at it.
What happens to the ego when someone works under a suit and a mask?
In the conversations about the project, before doing it, we were communicated the idea and the concept of the entire season , so I clearly understood what it was. I wanted it to be the most powerful version of what they were trying to accomplish, so there was no point in involving my ego, you know? It was already very clear what the project meant, so I knew about the character , the piece that it represented for him and the opportunity that it was for me, so I was only focused on executing in a better way the part that touched me in everything this. In the theater, I worked several times under a mask and it helped me develop the experience.
Tumblr media
It seems that The Mandalorian has a very theatrical base ...
Exactly, and thanks to the physical experience of working in theater, doing a play a few times a week, discovering how your body and your voice communicate , being part of a whole image, and how you will tell that story visually, I achieved this character. I never imagined that it would be something I would have to use on such an important Star Wars project .
On the list of entertainment greats, there are names like Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, do you think John Favreau should be added to the list?
I think your name is already included. Without a doubt, it is in that category and it is incredible. His vision fascinates me. I remember an episode in the second season , and I had some boots and I walked so much in the snow, it stuck to them. He figured it out, so he talked to the art department about the kind of boots you need when you're out in the snow. They approached me and gave me new ones that fulfilled the idea I was looking for. He noticed it in an instant. It is such a wonderful detail and it is repeated to scale in every session with him. He thinks of absolutely everything and his vision of the use of technology is admirable. He is someone who makes you feel motivated and always sees how to achieve the goal.
One of the reflections in the series is on how and under what circumstances a man can break his creed and way of life. What makes you break with your beliefs?
I think that you must follow your heart so as not to regret anything; Although sometimes it brings pain or conflict, deep down when you look back, everything is worth it because it was what you heard in your heart. I am very afraid to deny that feeling or not to attend to it. I am 45 years old now and I cannot believe I have a finer philosophy. Make it more disciplined. It's ridiculous, but I'm trying to accept that I am and it's all I can say, "follow your heart." Although, you know, I'm not on a good diet yet, I still have trouble sleeping or exercising.
Still good at Chilean empanadas?
Yes, I couldn't stop. And also how good that I do not live in Mexico City because I would only spend it eating. I could move my whole life to defe just to eat.
Tumblr media
I want to deviate and ask you, with whom did you see the chapter of your death in Game of Thrones and what traumas did you cause in your family?
For me, no trauma. I separate myself well from the characters , although I fully understand that if I were a Game of Thrones audience and loved that character, it would make an incredible impression on me. Thank you that it was not. I had to interpret it and there was a model of my head to be crushed that way with the tubes and the fake blood, you know? Me lying there, with pieces of my meat, it was funny in the end. But not for my family. For them there is nothing funny but traumatic. My dad's voice changed completely when we saw the episode, he turned around and said: “I didn't like it, Pedro . No, Pedro , not this ”.
The media found similarities between your villain in Wonder Woman: 1984 and Donald Trump. When playing a character with characteristics like this, do you humanize him or do you understand him?
The project had nothing to do with the former president. They always told me that my character in Wonder Woman: 1984 was emotionally messy, and I took that and took that as far as possible. Instead of creating it with images or certain inspirations from life, it was more to work with what was on the page. Personally, what made sense to me is the size of the story that is being told and there is always more, and we all want more. Creatively, if this makes sense, that meant "blowing her out of the park." Connect a hit with the character and be committed to telling his story faithfully, in a way that was true to me. So all the exterior elements found their way.
What a way to start 2021 with the theme of the Capitol ... How do you perceive that moment?
I am not a politician and it is not that I do not have an opinion about this type of event; however, it is not necessary to state the obvious. My opinion would be very simple compared to that of a person who studied this, who knows how to act in these kinds of scenarios; I believe that I am next to the majority who experienced this, which is the logical result of what we have experienced during these years and we are all horrified . It was distressing to see this violence.
If you had the monolith in your hands, what would your wish be?
My wish would be… it's impossible, really (laughs). I think it is to be together again, with less fear and that people have the opportunity to connect.
Tumblr media
What is your position on the reality that Chile has experienced in recent years and how has the relationship with your country been since exile?
It is something that I am developing and I continue to do in my life, trying to understand that it is my home. To be in Chile is to be at home, but my life has been very nomadic, living different things and having many influences; so it is strange, I do not feel with the title of a complete Chilean identity nor with an American one.
Neither here nor there?
In a sense, but I'm also completely both. My parents are Chilean , my brothers were born there before my parents traveled, and I came back sometimes because my family is very large; in fact, my parents came back. It has always been there, it continues to develop, and it will be a part of me. I don't know if it answers your question, but it has a lot to do with who I am.
What is your relationship with Latin American cinema? Are you interested?
Much, it has invaded me in life like American cinema. The movies that I carry in my heart, seeing something like Y tu mama was also something that changed me; I also love the work that comes out of Chile , and the only thing I can say is that it is a cinema that needs more access and projects.
Tumblr media
Today you have a comedy with Nicolas Cage on the door, can you tell us something?
It's my first shot at comedy , as a complete story within the genre. Speaking of American influences , in the 80s I saw all the films where Nicolas Cage appeared , he came into my life and it's great to be his partner after seeing all his performances.
How is the relationship you have with the comedy genre?
I love it, I have done a lot of comedy in the theater, what happens is that in film and television issues , I was always part of drama castings . And in the cinema, you go where the doors open; Although I identify with one or the other, I think that being an actor , one goes and does what one has to do. Comedy is something unique, it is very challenging because it must be very real to be funny, you cannot hide or use normal tricks. I was very excited to have this challenge in front of a camera.
Finally, Pedro, after going through so many fictional worlds, literally, what do you dream about when you sleep?
I dream that my bathroom is dirty, that I haven't done my math homework, that the oven is on and all that stuff. Sure, there are times when I close my eyes and see myself in all these projects , although my conscience is with the anxieties of the day that you can imagine.
Tumblr media
Without a doubt, Pedro Pascal is a particular type .

Leave Her Alone
This is Part 4 of 10
#10: Leave him/her/them alone @zambie-trashart Prompt List
Part 1 *** Part 2 *** Part 3
SuperSons x Miracilous
~~~~~~~~~~
Two summers have come and past and she could genuinely say she considered Damian a friend. The last time they were together he called her a minor inconvenience, so she'll take that as a win.
She however wasn't expecting to he back in Gotham so soon. She along with seven others were chosen to represent D’Argencourt School of Fencing in an international competition. With challengers from eight total countries. Seeing as it was during the fall recess her parents allowed it, so long as she stayed with the rest of the fencing team and chaperones. They also knew that her Uncle wasn’t far and she had friends in Gotham, that and Ma and Pa invited her for thanksgiving. Having gained a sort of sixth sense when she would be in the states.
So here she is on a flight she makes usually once sometimes twice a year but now she knows her uncle and cousin weren’t waiting for her. She wasn’t going to metropolis she was going to Gotham. Maybe she should have text Wayne, if he refuses to call her Marinette, she refuses to call him Damian, call her petty. But she didn’t even know if he was free or even competing, so she hadn’t bothered.
What was a surprise was that Adrien, their best male fencer, was allowed to come, apparently his father was super strict, only letting him do specific activities. They had chatted a bit on the bus and then on the plane.
“Who would have thought that seeing eight kids walk into an airport with fencing foils would have caused so much commotion.”
“That would be the no weapons laws in place,” she answered not looking up from her reading. “No cutting or thrusting weapons are allowed on the plane and have to be properly secured.”
“That’s why they were put in that case M. D’Argencourt had?”
“Yes.” She stopped the flight attendant who was passing, and luckily it was one that she recognized. “Hello Miss Catalina.”
“Oh, if it isn’t little Mariposa. Wake you up for breakfast?”
“Yes please.” She smiled. “Thank you.”
“Mariposa?” Adrien asked after she walked away.
“Butterfly. Float like a butterfly sting like a bee. Right.”
“That defines your fighting style.”
“Now unless you’re a fan of jet lag, good night.” She fell asleep and ended up waking him up after Catalina woke her. They ate and had a bit of small talk until they landed and made their way to their hotel.
Okay Gotham isn’t the nicest place to ever go but they were in the nicer part of the city. They got settled then went to train for the upcoming three-day tournament. During the first day everyone only had one match but with four matches going on, two for each gender and one for each bracket, it was busy and quite a show. Mari was lucky enough to be one of the first to compete, so she spent the rest of the day watching the other competitors. The third match she noticed something eerily familiar from one of the male competitors.
“Figures you’d be here Wayne.” She snuck up behind him, making him turn.
“Surprised you would come at all.” He lighted his helmet. “Does Kent know you are here?”
“Probably by now he would have.” She shrugged. “Go change,” she shooed, “that way we can over critique everyone else.” He rolled his eyes while his teammates stared at her. “What’s your deal.” She rose a brow.
“Nothing!” Several of them shouted and scattered. If Damian Wayne listened to this girl, and they didn’t know who she was, she must be scary, because Damian is, and he doesn’t listen to just anyone.
“Should I be grateful that you managed to get rid of those leeches?”
“Seriously, manners Wayne, those were your teammates.”
“So?”
“Never mind I am not going to get anything through that thick skull of yours.”
“My skull is thicker than most but that nearly means it is more efficient for head butts.”
“Definitely not what I meant.”
“Then what did you mean Dupain?”
“It’s not important just that I can’t change your mind.” He was about to shoot back but she literally put a finger up to silence him. “Did you see that.” He looked towards where she was looking.
A female fighter, in all red, part of block D mercilessly attacked her opponent. In under fifteen seconds she scored each time, quickly accumulating her points.
“They are from the Tsurugi school in Japan, based off the uniform.”
“Figure that on your own Batman.” She rolled her eyes. “But I meant her form it was…”
“Exceptional for a competitor at this level.”
“Must you always be so condescending Wayne.”
“Mariiii,” they both heard a familiar voice drawing their attention away from the red fencer. If they hadn’t, they would have noticed that the same fencer was focused on them.
“Jon/Kent.” A body slammed into them, bu quickly pulled her in a hug spinning her in a circle.
“You should have told us you were competing here. I knew Damian was but you that’s surprising.”
“Come on it’s not that surprising.” They moved away from the crowd, making their way to the entrance hall.
“So, I heard there is going to be a demonstration match after all the preliminary matches are done.”
“How do you know this?” Wayne asked. At the question her cousin claimed up and would not meet their eyes. If both she and Wayne muttered ‘of course’ they figured the answer.
“So, what’s it supposed to be about?” She decided to ask.
“I don’t know I saw you and tuned that other conversation out.” She quite frankly face palmed while Wayne tsked at him. “What you only come once or twice a year and Damian was hogging you.” He whined.
“I was not hogging her, in fact…”
“We didn’t even know the other was competing. It was just a chance that I saw him and then we started judging the others.”
“You are ruining her!” Jon began to pout.
“Oh, quiet you, I want to scope out more of my competition.” She pulled her cousin while Damian walked slightly behind them. That was how they spent the rest of their time watching all matches. When all bouts were over, they split and went to their respective team.
“Now, I would like to begin with a round of applause for all competitors and especially for those moving on.” A judge took the stage. “Now as a demonstration match, every school has given two names which were placed into this lottery. The two called will hold a match, no matter the gender or their block. It will not affect their placement in this competition. Now let’s see.” He reached in and pulled two slips of paper. “Mr. Damian Wayne of Gotham and Miss Marinette Dupain-Cheng of Paris will be our competitors. If you are not yet dressed, please suit up.”
Soon after they faced each other.
Usually her fencing was quick, her foot work light, but against Wayne she knew she had to change tactics. She foot work still light but was grounded, she used more power than she normally would to be in the defensive letting him fall confident. But she alternated between her styles leaving him guess. The score was 7-7 the next touch wins, unknowingly this was one of two inter sex pairs to fight it out. Both of them were panting, neither ready to give up and neither willing to accept defeat. Mari knew that if she was to win against Wayne, she had to be sneaky. Halfway through her lunge she switched forms quickly thinking on her feet, becoming light, quick movements to heavier steps with quick jabs and even stronger swings with light steps. Being creative and spontaneous in her movements.
“Winner, Miss Dupain-Cheng.” A voice announced. Both of them stepped to the center of the mat and shook hands, then lifted their masks.
“You won.” He seemed slightly miffed.
“Oh, don’t look that surprised Wayne.” They walked off and she lightly bumped him. They both left for the day afterwards. She didn’t even pay attention to the whispers around her, ate and went to her room to sleep.
The next day was uneventful, they both had two bouts winning theirs, respectively. Unfortunately, they both had matches when they other was off. Jon would scramble between the blocks to cheer for each of them.
The last day they were given a reprieve before the finals. So, she was meditating along with Wayne, while Jon talked about something or another.
“Marinette!” She heard a cry coming towards her. She opened her eyes and there was was Adrien. “Iv3 been trying to find you all morning. I’m up against that guy you fought on the…” he went quiet probably finally noticing one of the two next to her. “You aren’t going to give me any hints, are you?”
“Just like I’m not giving him any on you.” Adrien looked like he was going to beg, and Wayne quirked a brow. “Thank goodness my match is before yours. Look I think of both of you as friends and I will not sell one out to the other.” She stood up. “Now if you’ll excuse me.” She went off to get ready for her match.
She was up against the same red fencer that she watched with Wayne. Kagami Tsurugi, competitor from Japan, they saluted one another and got in formation. They fought hard and she fought quick striking opportunely, but this girl fought like Wayne. Marinette knew that everyone was talking about the exhibition match, so she knows this girl saw it too. So, she decided to match her strength list of the time. The match was long, but Mari managed to hold a lead before again fighting on instinct, earning the win.
“That was a great match!” She extended her hand.
“I demand to see my opponents face.” Kagami ordered.
“Only if you show me yours.” Mari took off her helmet, but most had figured already. Kagami also removed her helmet.
“It was not good enough.” They shook Kagami turned on her heel and walked away.
“That was…” she saw Adrien come up next to her. “Amazing!!!”
“Okay, okay.” She giggled from under him. “Now go get ready.”
“Yes madam.” He rushed off. But as he did, she saw her opponent and a woman, and she was being scolded. Sure it wasn’t the nicest thing to snoop, but this one time shouldn’t hurt, right?
“Now what made you lose?” The woman asked.
“My opponent was unpredictable and her steps and swings contradicted one another.”
“That much was notable, but that does not answer the question, what made you lose?”
“I lost because I was unworthy of the blade in my hands.”
The woman was going to say something but she could not hold her tongue any longer. “First off leave her alone, second the reason she lost was not due to any technical or observable trait.”
“What are you doing, child?”
“I’m sticking up for the best female fencer here. The only reason I got the touch first was because I wasn’t thinking I was reading my opponent, until she couldn’t read me. I changed my forms so often during the match that if their was no impartial judge I would have lost.”
“What are you saying?”
“I’m saying that Tsurugi is the best technical fighter I have ever fought. That I would have certainly lost if I wasn’t spontaneous. That if I wasn’t so good at reading others, Tsurugi would have won.”
“What is your school, if I may ask?”
“The D’Argencourt School of Fencing in Paris, France, Madame.”
“Interesting, well we hope to see such a formidable opponent again.” The two turned and Kagami sent her a small wave before turning around.
“Why do I feel like I’m forgetting something… the match!”
“The Winner Mr. Damian Wayne.” The two shook hands and walked off.
She would have followed had she not spotted one of her favorite people in the states. “Dicky!” She jumped and he caught her on his back.
“Hey Mari, we saw your match earlier good job.”
“Thanks.” She then noticed Barbara, Alfred, and Bruce. She gave them all a nod and a smile.
“We would have talked to you sooner if we had known and if you and Damian didn’t disappear.”
“We would not have disappeared had you not have been so grating.” Wayne returned.
She shimmied off of Dick and stood next to him. “They aren’t too bad.” She stuck out her tongue.
“Yes, just as you are not a dolt for having missed the match.”
“How did?”
“Like I said a dolt.” He poked the center of her forehead.
“Oh har dry hard har Mr. ‘what did you say to my opponent about me’.” She bumped him slightly. “So where I’d Jon go?”
“Your Uncle Kent called him, he had to leave.” Bruce answered. “If you are worried on who is taking you we offered.”
“Okay. Let me just tell my coach about the change.” She rushed off to talk with M. D’Argencourt, because she was not about to miss thanksgiving with her Ma and Pa Kent.
Someone made an incredible animation of the scene in hidden inventory where Gojo gets screamed at by teen girls fawning over him, and it's beautiful ✨
https://youtu.be/5l9_O51-YYs
Also, it highlights my previous point that when Gojo's confronted by women flirting with him, he doesn't really do... Anything. He's just chill about it. And the little °^° face he makes and the little confused "hm?" from the manga panel in the beginning could indicate that Gojo might not be hit on by girls as often as we think- Jujutsu sorcerers are busy and have even their time off interrupted on the regular. Other than being mildly amused, we don't see Gojo actively bask or pursue attention from women (other than Utahime ofc, which could be because she's as straight-laced as Nanami).
The little content smile he gives at the end basically says it all: Gojo enjoys the attention, but most likely isn't interested in pursuing anything more than that, including sexual relations (with more reasons from my previous posts).
I could see Gojo being the type to allow himself to appreciate just a bit of affection from random women he encounters on missions and then casually walking off with a lazy wave of his hand- just like he did with Miwa.
The man's on a mission (literally) with the goal to change the world. Virgin Gojo is very possible seeing how unaffected he is by women throwing themselves at him- or at least, he allows himself a moment to enjoy the attention but is quick to dismiss the thought from his mind to focus on his duty.
Honestly, non virgin Gojo is still possible, but unless we see Gojo actually show interest or actively flirt with someone (which seems unlikely), we may never know. To me, analyzing Gojo with his interactions with other characters (not his antics) makes me think it's more likely Gojo is a virgin than not, simply bc the argument for Gojo being a non virgin is his looks and immaturity (or his act of immaturity, we know Gojo thinks in a much more complex way than he lets on) which I'd argue is not an accurate description of his character, because that's only a part of it, and is in fact only what Gojo shows on the surface. And there's plenty of reasons why his lifestyle would make such getaways difficult. Also, Gojo's lack of enthusiasm for it. Gojo allows girls to fawn over him, but he hardly stokes the fire more than just taking off his glasses when they asked him to.
If Gojo was more like Osamu Dazai from Bungou Stray Dogs who flirts with every women he sees, I would have an easier time believing he would not be a virgin, but his lifestyle, behavior, and even his Six Eyes and his goal makes me think he wouldn't choose to constantly go on small getaways like that. Personally, I'd say Gojo spends more of his time plotting and maximizing his efforts on recreating Jujutsu Society.
Really, when Gege said he couldn't see Gojo being faithful to a woman could be because he's already committed to his job. Not because he's out womanizing, but even because the type of woman he'd commit to is so rare. And even if he did find a woman he'd commit to, being the ENTP he is means he's incapable of immediately recognizing and acting on his emotions- not because he doesn't have them, but because they're not really his forté. He'd rather rationalize his behavior than attempt to understand his own feelings. It'll take time and patience, but Gojo committing is still a possibility.
Honestly, I'd like to hear why people would think Gojo's a cheater/womanizer to begin with? Besides him teasing Utahime, Gojo's been pretty respectful to Shoko and Mei Mei. He even complimented and recognized Mei Mei's strength as a sorcerer. He didn't flirt once with the hoard of girls fawning over him. In fact, he was quick to focus on his mission despite the attention. I don't think Gojo's ever even teased Shoko about anything (other than commenting on her terrible way of explaining things, which is more of a fact than teasing). Though, correct me if I'm wrong.
Also, I haven't mentioned Riko much in previous posts and idrk why lol. But while Gojo is dominated by logical thinking, he's emotionally inept enough to notice Riko's mood. He may seem cold in how he comforted her by saying he'd leave her behind, but it's more of his ENTP personality that has him expressing his emotions in a more objective manner- even if it hurts, it's the truth, and that's fine isn't it? (Typical ENTP way of thinking).
Also slight tangent I read that one long meta about Gojo's interaction with Riko someone linked, and I'm completely appalled that they would think Gojo is only "pretending" to have emotions, "mimicking" them even! That he's incapable of truly feeling when in fact it's inherently characteristic of any ENTP to express themselves in a way that, to others, would be considered "cold" and unempathetic. It just goes to show just how misunderstood ENTPs are. They only make up 3% of the world so are often confused for socios/narcs/psychos which is understandable-
But I wanna make one thing clear: all sociopaths could be considered ENTPs. But not all ENTPs are sociopaths. (Switch Socio with psycho/narc/etc and it still works). Why?
Purpose.
Arrogance, boastfulness, unrefined emotional sensitivity, recklessness, impulsiveness- all of those fall below the importance of Purpose. Regardless of how Gojo "acts," it's been expressed time and time again- Gojo acts for the sake of the next generation. Sociopaths/Antisocial Personality Disorder/Psychopaths have one most common defining starting point: "it all starts with cruelty to animals and lack of response to their own actions, or actions of other people."
Let's make it more simple: regardless of whatever end of the spectrum sociopathy can be- high functioning, low functioning- antisocial personality disorder, in it's most simple terms, along with psychopathy and narcissism, condensed into one common trait is very clear: Their actions, while easily blendible into society, are for the sole purpose of pleasuring themselves.
Why don't people notice those with these disorders? Because their *behavior* is so similar to not just the typical ENTP, but also the ISTP AND ESTP. They can easily be mistaken for common members of society, but again: their sole purpose is the pursuit of pleasure themselves, while acting with complete disregard for the consequences of not just their own actions but others'. Staying in one job for extended periods of time is especially rare for a sociopath in particular, and this is one very clear difference between Gojo and a sociopath.
Gojo is willing to spend the rest of his life as a Jujutsu Sorcerer for the sake of others. This sentence alone defies any inclination that he could be a sociopath regardless of any other symptoms commonly associated with sociopathy, such as emotional insensitivity, hostility, risk taking behavior, lack of restraint, and impulsivity- there's a reason such people blend in with society, and that's because such symptoms are common with *any* person, regardless of personality type. Other than with the higher ups, Gojo hardly shows the anger, irritability, or general discontent that a sociopath is most commonly is associated with as their established mood - and even if he did, would being easily irritatable while in the position of the Strongest, the one who carries the burden of establishing a new future of Jujutsu Society on his shoulders alone be so unrealistic? That is why Purpose is so important.
If Gojo truly was a Sociopath, he would have dipped long before Jujutsu Kaisen had even started.
And I apologize for yet another tangent! Someone said Gojo sees his students as weapons or tools to be used in furthering his agenda. While that is not necessarily untrue, the implication is hardly close to reality. Like someone else commented, Gojo goes far and beyond for his students. While he is undoubtedly lacking in his ability to show affection in the most traditional of ways, it's clear that Gojo cares for his students-and others- deeply, whether that be when he went to see Yuta on his business trip to ensure Yuji would be safely taken care of in his absence, when he goes out of his way to personally supervise his students, when he willingly spends a whole day with Nanami just to ask him to mentor Yuji for him (in the Light Novel) regardless of Nanami's disdain, when he turned his Infinity off to allow Yaga to punish him (Gege made it clear in the manga that Gojo had done so to be a good role model for his students and that he recognizes his behavior deserves punishment), and when Gojo commented that he didn't want to think any of his students would be the traitor. Gojo does not express himself as most people do- he's only one of the most misunderstood personality types (on record, along with a few other personalites if you've researched them) and to say people have misinterpreted his character is much more plausible when even in real life, people who behave like Gojo are statistically reported to be misapprehended more often than more populated personality types. When inspected closely, there are so many ways Gojo himself expresses his care for other people, only hidden thinly behind the surface of his lofty attitude and uncaring demeanor. It only takes a few looks at his behavior, not his mouth, to recognize how much he goes out of his way for his students, doing he things that don't necessarily help further his agenda simply because he wants to, not because he has to. Changing the world isn't even something the average person would strive to do, yet Gojo makes it his life goal to accomplish. How could a heartless, emotion mimicking person possibly endure the strife necessary to accomplish such a task? It's appalling.
Gojo is more charitable than most people on the earth, simply because of the perseverance and diligence he takes to withstand the stress and hardships of Jujutsu Society for others. Remember that he chose to become the Strongest, it didn't happen overnight, and in becoming the Strongest, he carries the heaviest burden.
That's without mentioning that even though Gojo is the Strongest, and while to most he seems to proudly state so, it's clear that despite Gojo's antics, he recognizes his weaknesses as a sorcerer and is able to rely on others to make up for them. He had asked Nanami to mentor Yuji because he acknowledged his own flaws as a teacher and that Nanami would have a better capacity than him in that area (in Light Novel). He travelled to see Yuta to ask him to care for Yuji in case something happened to him- and Gojo knows that it's possible that he could be defeated somehow, someway. He's not so deluded to think he's untouchable, even despite his playfulnesses. He is always thinking ahead, calculating his next move while understanding his own shortcomings, acting prudently to ensure a better future.
He is a much deeper and complex character if one only takes the time to look past his antics and analyze his behavior- Something many people in real life seem to miss, and that is the true reason why Gojo struggles to commit.
Sorry for the long tangent and repetitiveness in the beginning lol! Back to the main issue!
Tl;dr there's more evidence of Gojo being a virgin who's more focused on work than pleasure. There's plenty of handsome men who don't seek out sex for reprieve but seek mental stimulation instead for relief. It's totally normal. Gojo could even spend his free time playing video games. He did admit to spending long hours beating 99 years of Momotarou Dentetsu to Geto. He's a gamer, and we know how gamers are commonly known for being virgins lol. Gojo could even be asexual for all we know. He could even be demisexual- someone who doesn't pursue sexual pleasure unless he's made an emotional connection with then. He doesn't necessarily have to even be straight or bi. Therefore, Gojo is very likely to be 28 year old virgin, and there's nothing wrong or strange about that.
AHHHH CAN I JUST SAY THE ANIMATION IS DAMN GOOD 🔥🔥🔥 this scene in the manga is absolutely iconic prepare yourselves for season 2 😤 I literally had to stop the video and stare at him...I think one of the reasons Gojo behaved that way is becuz during childhood he probably didn't go out and be around people hence his confused reaction with the screaming teens. I mean everyone enjoys being complimented and getting attention from time to time and gojo is not an exception to this. Yes I definitely agree that when Gege said that he probably meant he's too busy for a relationship. The way it was translated made alot of people confused hence the player/cheater gojo was born. But then also the remember the comment he made when Gojo won the popularity poll? "Pick Nanami instead" ahhh hilarious
MY GAWD 🤔 ANON CAN I JUST SAY THAT YOU'RE AMAZING?! You explained in a way that easy to understand and you made statements backing it up with evidence. I learned from your ask than I ever did in university 😂 wow its truly fascinating though I never knew much personality types especially ENTPs I DON'T BELIEVE FOR ONE SEC GOJO IS A SOCIOPATH OR PSYCHOPATH fight me if you do. Exactly exactly just as anon said "He is a much deeper and complex character if one only takes the time to look past his antics and analyze his behavior." I COULDN'T AGREE MORE 😤 thank you so much for once again educating the community I'm a fan of you 🤔 anon ❤
