Word counts are crazy cus 100.000 is a lot
But 15.000 is also a lot.
But 5000 actually isn't not a lot.
And 2000 is still quite long.
And 500 can actually also be a lot.
#personally i want to read 30.000 regularly#but once ive knocked out the 2 long fics#i start reading shorter stuff#and it actually amazes me when i do cus after a certain point you've lost perspective#often i will expect a 500 word fic to be like half a page. how can you fit any story into 500 words#and ofcourse thats not true 500 is still a full chapter. people write great things in 500 words#and i should know that because IVE wrotten 500 words before#i know that its not that little#anyway yeah i do wish there were more long fics but thats mostly so i dont burn through everything in a month#not because short fics dont have substance
