Yes I am out of touch but yes I did just learn that (at least some) people are referring to the Eddie/Chrissy ship as ‘hellcheer’ and like, what. Are you kidding me. I have no particular feelings toward the characters or the ship, but that portmanteau is amazing. That sounds like the title of a Christopher Pike novel from 1989. I can picture it in that slasher-y typeface in hot pink foil lettering, splashed across a cover with a cutout window looking onto a painting of a lit-from-below creepily-smiling pretty blonde cheerleader. I can picture the inner cover when you open up the front cover with the cutout, the reveal that that cheerleader’s standing on a pyramid of dead bodies and holding up severed heads like pom-poms.
