please dont laugh at me but please can you explain who the kushners are and why karlie didnt get invited to dinner?

oh yes so to break it down, the kushner family is a family w/ very close ties to the trump family. i couldn’t tell you off the top of my head what exactly they’re ~famous~ for but i do know that one of them was like, an advisor for trump during his presidency iirc. karlie married a member of the family, josh, a few years ago and has a child with him now so she’s very involved with the kushners. which brings us to an episode of project runway where karlie was a judge, she said she didn’t really like a contestant’s design and couldn’t see herself wearing it or something to that effect, to which he responded “not even to dinner with the kushners?”
